Went in to the salon based off the good reviews I saw on here.The business says it closes at 8PM, walked in at 6PM and was told they couldn’t cut my hair because they were closing soon, that she had one ahead. 2 hours before closing 🤦🏽‍♀️Very unfriendly. Disappointed.

Came here after searching salon on google and in so glad I did!! Itzel was my hair dresser and she did exactly what I wanted! I showed her a video and she took her time to achieve the look I was going for. When she was done cutting, she asked me if I knew how to style it the way I was looking for to ensure I would get that look! Ive never had that before and truly appreciated it. I had an outstanding experience with Amaxx Hair Salon! I went to get a hair cut and style and my stylist name was named Itzel. She was the best! She cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it. I have naturally curly hair and she knew exactly what to do with my kind of hair. She was very professional. I love my cut and she went the extra mile to blow dry my hair straight. I have never had my hair look so good as she did. She took her time and made my hair come out perfect! I absolutely loved it! Thank you so much Itzel!! You are truly the best hair stylist I have ever had! I will definitely go back to her. The salon is very neat and clean and everyone was so friendly and very nice to me. I had the pleasure of receiving my new look from Alicia today. And I couldnt be happier than I am. I want to say that my last real hair cut was over 2 years ago so I was overdue. I have an enormous amount of thick long hair that I just had given up on trying to style myself. So needless to say it was a mess. My hair stylist have been either my mother or best friend for over 12 years. Neither are really available so I went searching online for local shops. I stumbled across this one which is 2 mins from my home. I read all the reviews and was impressed. So many have been long time customers. The one that convinced me was the one who still drives 30 miles to get their hair done by them. Thats some commitment I thought and enough to convince me to schedule an appointment. They got me in the next day and were the kindest people I have met in a long time. She was very in tune to my needs and made me feel very comfortable. Her husband was really nice too, he made my husband feel more comfortable being there with me. After all was done I was so satisfied with my new look. Better than I expected. The biggest shock came when we went to pay and it was such a lower cost than I anticipated. I was blown away with everything I experienced and now understand why they have such committed customers. I myself will be one from now on too. Definitely will be recommending them.

I went in for a haircut and came out with my hair being botched up!!!! I did not realize until after I left the salon since my hair was still wet. I will NEVER come back. I will tell all my friends and family to NEVER come here again. Prior to this unfortunate incident I heard such great things about the owner so I decided to check them out.... worst mistake ever. I had to go to my regular hairstylist and beg her to squeeze me in before I left for work or else I would NOT have left. Her mistake ended up costing me an extra $80!!!!!

Today I had a wonderful experience here. I booked an appointment for my first time and when I got there I was informed that they were running behind. I didnt mind because I saw Alicia working between two other clients, so I decided to get my eyebrows waxed/ tinted by Enaly... mind you my first time!! What can I say other than I love her work! She made me feel relaxed the entire time. When my eyebrows were completed, Alicia apologized to me for running behind but I knew she was busy being the ONLY stylist. When she did attend me I felt like my hair was in great hands. Right now I am also in love with my layered haircut!!! I highly recommend them!!!! Thank you ladies for a great service!!!

Love it here! I always have a great experience with any of the stylists. Whether I get overall hair color, highlights, radical changes, hair cuts, or my favorite 20 minute straightening style (I have coarse wavy hair!), etc. Men and boys in my family also get their weekly haircut here too. My daughter needed a trim and had her Barbie with her that day, well Alicia took it to the next level by not only trimming her hair but also giving Barbie a much needed trim! :)

I’m not one to write bad reviews ever, and I don’t really say anything when someone messes up because I get that mistakes happen. I come here all the time and have always had the same ladies cut/ color my hair etc. I made an appointment today to get my hair trimmed that was it, the lady that greeted me I had never seen in there before and took me back to the wash my hair, which I didn’t know was $2 extra (which I don’t mind, but some people would like to be let know if you’re going to do that and charge them). She only washed my hair with shampoo no conditioner which is bad for my hair because I have naturally wavy curly hair. She cut my hair fine but I asked for her to blow dry it and she did, but at the end started straightening it and was pressing the straightener so hard down that when she would get to the ends of my hair I could hear them breaking off and frying pretty much. I’m disappointed because I come here all the time and so when I came this time again it was disappointing.

I’ve been coming to this salon for years. Alicia is amazing at everything she does. She has made transitions to my hair (From dark to blonde from blonde to dark) and it has never felt damaged or ruined. If you are looking for a great cut, dye or anything you won’t regret coming here.

I have to say Im a little disappointed. I made an appointment to have a consultation done. Trying to go back to my natural color which of course is always a journey.Ive never had a consultation where I left feeling completely irritated. The stylist didnt introduce herself. She didnt even sit me down to talk to me about what I was looking for anything. She literally just pulled at my hair gave me a price and sent me out the door.Luckily I scheduled another consultation elsewhere and actually ended up having that stylist cut my hair.A little sad since this salon was right next to my house.

The reviews listed here are incredibly outdated. The salon went under new ownership and the ladies who work there definitely know what theyre doing. Alicia and Wendy are the two stylists that Ive gone to, and theyre both great. Everytime I get a haircut, I go to Alicia and she always gives me exactly what I want, and cuts the length that I want-- no more and no less. I recently got my hair done by Wendy. She does beautiful balayage color and makes sure that you are satisfied with your results. Both ladies are friendly and really get to know you.

I agree- the other reviews are horribly outdated. Ive been going here for the past year for hair cuts and eyebrow waxing and have never had an unsatisfactory experience even though I have had a different woman doing them every time I went.

Worst experience ever... I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and came out unsatisfied. They were not waxed correctly and the shape of them changed. 30 min later I got to see them and noticed I still had some hair were I knew I was not supposed to after getting a wax... worst of all she was giving me a lecture. . Not to be rude but if I wanted a lecture I wouldve gone to my mother. I was in such a hurry since I was leaving out of town and left. Overall not worth the money.. and highlights are over priced... I wouldnt mind paying that price if I knew I was hGetting quality but since thats not the case.. im never going back...

Bring my son here to get a cut only place that is patient enough to handle my son since he was cut by clippers at a childs place and all barbershop scarred him with compressed air.
