Very helpful in time of crisis. make sure to make an appointment and be early. dont use right beforehand either. be honest about time of last use esp if you used opiates. they will give you MAT (subutex) according to your timeframe and if you dose prior to 36 hours you will go into precipitated withdrawal. you get out of this treatment what you put in to it. always be honest, dont worry they will take care of you.

I am posting this as someone who went in during a mental health crisis. I arrived as a walk-in at 9 pm. The front desk lady was very friendly and professional. The problem began when I was taken back to wait for my assessment. We were locked in a big room with a bunch of plastic chairs and a TV. The TV, which we could not change, was playing Law and Order: SVU. Perfect for patients with PTSD, right? We had to put chairs together to try and sleep. It was really cold; people were shivering, but the staff said we couldnt have blankets. We were locked in that room until about 8am. At breakfast, they brought us bowls of Cheerios and cartons of milk, because the hospital does not give hot meals to patients until after their assessments. It was absolutely horrible. The staff did check on us and take us to the bathroom. They were the only bright spot in this horrible night. Honestly, I would not recommend this place in times of crisis, especially at night!

The front desk staff is friendly. The lobby was a mess. But it was nice that they do let you eat inside while waiting in the lobby. The patient needs to fill out a stack of paper firsthand. The questions on the administration paperwork are so repetitive. I dont think my son could have done this by himself. Definitely if you have a loved one dealing with anxiety or depression please come with them and walk them through the process.I feel like the front desk can explain a little better how the process goes but instead, she freaked out my son by explaining to him that once he walks through the double-sided door there was no turning back. Im mean hes of age but who wants to feel restrained right? Be prepared to wait for a while. We waited over an hour the nurse comes out and checks vitals and goes over your paperwork. So it would be helpful if they had a way to test the patients for COVID-19 if they indicate any symptoms or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19. Well since my son checked off that he had COVID-19 like symptoms. He couldnt get admitted without showing proof of a negative test result first. By this time they explained to us, it was too late and the only place to have this done was at the Emergency room. What a nightmare!! they should be able to accommodate the patients here to avoid these types of issues. This really can discourage a patient from finally wanting to get help. Please coach your front staff to be more proactive and go through the patient paper to relay any escalated issues to avoid having to wait for nothing.

Say there for an hour and 15 minutes and they never even took me back to get vitals. The lobby didn’t have a receptionist for most of the time and when she was there she kept saying she didn’t know why they gave out appointment times?!? I had a 6pm appointment. I filled out paperwork and put it on the counter and it sat for a half hour until they even looked at it. Finally walked out after being there and hour and a half. Ridiculous!

Please do not bring your loved ones to this place for mental health. This is a detox facility for acute care. I came here in a moment of weakness seeking help and I was told this would help. My assessment was at 7 in Gilbert where I was told they had no beds. I was shipped to Avondale where I waited 4.5 hours for a bed. During that time, a troubled young man was literally punching walls, yelling, screaming, begging to be let out right outside where I sat. No protection for me. He was clearly unstable and nobody was helping. After being admitted, I learned what this place is really for. You sit in chairs all day, or can just sleep. How does that help? Some of the staff are truly kind. Taylor and Crystal seemed to really care for me and listened to me. But the Drs dont spend more than 30 seconds with you and then move on. Its a facility that wants money from insurances and the state. My group therapy was sitting in a room watching Inside Out. This is not help. This is not what someone with anxiety and depression need. The only reason I was able to leave was by signing an AMA and then fighting for my rights leave. And my family had to fight for me to leave too. I dont want anyone to have this experience. Our mental health system is broken. And we need to do better. This cant be how people are helped.

Doctors does the bare minimum & is very lazy. The doctor acts as if he doesn’t like his job or the staff . He doesn’t listen to staff nor patients when it comes to problems & he is barely around. Horrible food , uneducated staff , bad attitudes, always bad misinformation about the facility , the have the men & women together, you can’t have visitors, & the whole video about this place is a lie . This would probably be a great place to get help when they replace the staff members that just go with the motions basically the ones who don’t care & its a lot . You can tell they haven’t had a evaluation in along time . Really hope they get it together but I doubt it .

Please do not come here if you or a loved one are struggling with alcohol dependency. It took over a week just to finally get them to answer the phone. Once we got there the wait to even get back to take the assessment to be admitted took 2 hours even with an appointment. When we called and asking for information, they said the program was 30 days long, however, after they were admitted we were told it was only 10 days and it would be $350 out of pocket. Then they were released less than a week after being admitted,(4 days) saying the long stays were for those dependent on drugs only. While there, they were not being helped to attend meetings or counseling, and we had to drop off a walking device just for them to get around. The staff offered very little to no help and seemed confused about what was going on half the time. When dropping things off to them, it took the staff two days just to bring it to their room and even let them know it had been dropped off. Please save yourself the time and money and choose somewhere else.

I found this place to be very good for help when in a situation, especially a crisis. The staff was very proficient, caring, and treated you respectfully. I had no problem with communicating with the staff and the doctors. Being a new facility it takes time to iron out the kinks and those were being handled efficiently. I think some of the reviews that were not a 5-star were based on it being a new facility, as well as the fact, you get out of it what you put into it and some patients dont take the reason they are there serious (my point of view and opinion only). The food was the bomb, the sleeping rooms were well equipped and clean, same for the common areas. The doctors were friendly, knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Kudos to the staff on Sunrise, they were awesome!! So was the staff on recreation, extracurricular, counseling, etc. My 5-day stay was 3/3/17-3/7/17. I have over 15 years dealing with facilities such as this when taking care of a very close family member, so my review isnt because I am not familiar with other facilities, exact opposite. It took a lot for a drug addict to go in and ask for help and then they have the audacity to turn him away? Thats absolutely horrible! Ill find out where to report them. I called ahead and they said they had beds available. So there is no excuse. The nurse was very rude and just wanted him to leave and go to a shelter. Hes SMI for goodness sake. It took a lot to get him to go in. Im furious. Your website DOES NOT match what I was told on the phone. They dont have residential rehab. Only a 5 day detox that you cant even get into. You need to update your website. You say on the phone that you wont turn people away because of lack of money. I think you turn away people with AHCCCS even though you claim to accept it. You gave him a list of other places to go. The ones that are better known for taking people with AHCCCS. Your ethics are extremely questionable. Dr. Amani , my nurse James, and my therapist Leanne, alongside the wonderful techs, definitely got me to where I needed to be mentally.Copper Springs turned what was an anxious and scary situation for me, into a pleasant and positive one. And I even made some friends along the way.Thank you so much for helping me! I will always speak very highly of Copper Springs!

When I went to copper springs. They are newer i have been 2 times. They are only a 3-7day rehab they do not have a good dr. The food is great. You do have 7 smoke breaks. But I was denied entry 1 time even after tell them I was suicidal at that time. They are picky and do not have the space like quail run or west valley hospital.

I want to take a moment to say Thank you to a woman who spoke with me from Copper Springs Treatment Center. I needed questions answered and her patience and true concern was encouraging. Just the phone call for help for my family member was uplifting and I pray my loved ones makes their way to treatment. Thank you.

I definitely recommend copper springs for drug detox and I have to several people. A month ago was the first step and was the first day of the rest of my life. 30 days clean now. I am not totally sure of why they turn people away, but from what I remember last year, is you need to qualify for treatment based on criteria, this place helped me, they were kind and respectful, the food was excellent, if you get up everyday and go to the classes, you will learn things you never did or forgot in my case to help you deal with your addictions, when I went there, I was drinking heavily wasting my life, I even made a huge mistake right after my visit to this wonderful facility, and just about lost it all, all over again, freedom, friends, family, but today I have a house a nice new car a great paying job, and I believe this facility deserves some credit, as a matter of fact I am introducing a friend to this facility because it helped me, and Im hoping they do the same for her or better. But you guys need to start accepting people based on their addiction and not on their pain level.

Copper springs is an amazing resource for people struggling with addiction. I have referred people in need of help both personally and professionally for years with no problems at all. They get the appropriate care they need and Diana Matos always makes extra effort to make the transition for facility to facility smooth! Thank you guys!

I am a therapist who has worked in conjunction with Copper Springs referring patients and collaborating on trainings. Copper Springs is a very new state of the art facility where they have thought through many safety features for the clients. They offer alternative groups such as yoga and have several trained EMDR therapists. I have referred clients here and will continue to do so.

I would give no stars if I could, I was sent a list of facilities to seek mental health from my insurance provider, I googled and read reviews to attempt to find the best place to pursue fixing myself as Ive been losing hope and slowly my will to live, I dont want to hurt myself, but Im definitely getting there now and Copper Springs gave me such a big push. I called and made my appointment for an assessment, I arrived early, spent about an hour filling out their paperwork. When it came time for my assessment, since I was more interested in individual sessions as opposed to group sessions, I was told they wouldnt be able to help me as they are an inpatient only facility. This information surprised me as in the description of the facility on Google, it says outpatient care. Heck, their own website says outpatient care. They say nothing that they do not offer any outpatient care to anyone who is not committed to the hospital. I was seen for an assessment for maybe 5 minutes, and given recommendations for other facilities that my assessor didnt have any information about, no idea if they were accepting new patients, or if they were a good facility, no care. Copper Springs doesnt care about you, or your mental health, just what your wallet can do for them. I feel so much worse now than I did at the beginning of my mental health journey.

Went here in an emergency situation. My spouse had tried to commit suicide and tried several times to jump out of my car as I drove there from Buckeye per my spouses psychiatrists office recommendation. The office care coordinator from his psychiatrist called ahead and spoke to Cynthia to let them know wed be arriving and we were told hed be seen immediately. Reception staff basically told us it didnt matter that it was a crisis situation and we needed to wait 7+ hours or go to an emergency room. Staff was uncaring and unwilling to listen.

Made an appointment and explained I NEEDED to get off blues/ Mexican percs & had tried 3x on my own out here & Suboxone didnt help at all. Asked if i should bring anything. Was told 3-5 days of clothes& hygiene. I Went & finally was brought back3& a half hours AFTER my appointment time. After ALL that, the doctor recommendation was IOP counseling outpatient which is NO HELP AT ALL BC IM ALREADY IN COUNSELING!!I asked 3x if i could do ANYTHING to be allowed to stay for inpatient help because I had my huge bag of clothes hygieneand had 3 books to read while withdrawing. Came prepared in every way to kick pills.I Couldnt stop crying because I was there and ready to get OFF these pills. And stranded at 105th Avenue with a huge Bag at 2:30am & I dont have a car.I THOUGHT Id stay there 5 days and would be CLEAN when i left.Instead I was still sick and STILL had no hope of getting help detoxing off these pills.I dont score high enough to detox at CBI because i dont vomit.I was really counting on this place & was extremely let down.Obviously outpatient counseling is NOT ENOUGH AND IS NOT THE CORRECT LEVEL OF CARE SINCE IM HOOKED ON PERC 30S AND REALLY WANT HELP DETOXING OFF THEM SAFELY!Ive TRIED suffering through it on my own and get extremely high blood pressure& cant sleep or eat for days. This is why i TRIED getting inpatient help here.Asked a few more times if i could do ANYTHING to get assistance detoxing-- i REALLY did NOT think Id still be dependent on those pills when i left--but unfortunately I was. Thanks to the unhelpful Dr. Recommendation for outpatient ONLY

I couldnt be more pleased with our experience at Copper Springs. My son was taken from the ER to Copper Springs Hospital and has been battling with addiction issues for years. The facility itself is new and state of the art. I found the staff to be professional and compassionate throughout his stay. The front desk person, Kuka, was helpful. The discharge coordinator, Eric, took time to listen to a concerned parent and I felt heard. Most of all, the community liaison, Kristin, was nonjudgmental, easy to talk to and had a wealth of information I could use going forward as my son continues on his path to recovery. I am so grateful and thank everyone who worked with us. I absolutely would refer Copper Springs to anyone facing similar challenges. What a great community resource!

Place is a joke. My son is currently there for mental health treatment. Not getting the help he needs. Just keep upping his meds. Then when you call no one calls back. No individual therapy just groups. They are getting alot of money from insurance but dont care about actually helping the people there.

Its a battle is an understatement. It takes at least 3 times of going in before you are accepted. Their way of weeding out those who are just looking for a meal and a bed. They always say, Were at capacity, when theyre not. Its VERY hard to get in, but once you do, the care is good. Its just a detox facility; not a 30 or 60-day program, so have a plan after that. Also, its co-ed, so if you dont want your female (or male!) interacting, this is not the place. Finally, if youre on ACCCHS, dont waste your time. They dont accept it, but youll get to experience the rigmarole and waste countless hours until they tell you that. I feel badly for people who really want help that come here. Its almost as if they throw them back out on the street just to see if they really mean it.

They only care about getting your money. They show bias to certain patients. Once they are paid they could care less much less. I am changing insurance in case I have to go into recovery so I can go to a different facility. They are dishonest and will try to take more money than you owe. They only good thing about this place was my therapist she cared, but she did not have the power to change all the negative. I came there because of stress and anxiety and they created more for me. Go somewhere else. Oh they will promise they will handle everything and then tell you they can’t when it is almost too late.

I had an assessment and then was sent straight to a treatment program that was not explained or communicated to me. When I questioned the one size fits all group therapy I was placed in (Intensive Out Patient) and how it would help my situation they discharged me. My “counselor” took everything I said personal. She reacted accordingly. I would conclude that this establishment is a Medicaid mill and would not seek any serious personal mental health treatment here. Look elsewhere first.

The review section is for people who have used a business services to review their experience. It is NOT for employees to give five star reviews based on their employment experience in order to increase the overall review. That is clearly what you are doing as you respond to all 5 Star reviews from employees but not the poor reviews from actual customers. This is reason enough to never use this company as this is a horrible business and ethical practice.

I looked online, for a good hospital . Have been to many and just wharehoused. I felt a glimmer of hope. I called got an appointment for next day. Later that day the called and said that my appointment was cancelled due to know bed. Next morning went in for an intake on my own. Now Im there because Im suicidal and desperate for help. Talked to woman for 10 min told me no beds, would ship me off somewhere else. I lost it, they had no empathy. Refused to be shipped off to a place that I have been 5 times and never got my medications working for me. I was an angry mess, told them to let me out. Which wasnt really what I wanted I wanted help.Im suicidal and out of control and the said I could leave. This not a hospital nor treatment center. They say one thing and do another. They arent empathetic or compassionate. They should be cited for inhumane treatment of vulnerable people.
