Review №1

Going on 15 years ago, Dr. Weingrad successfully excised my DCIS. Then came the hard part--biopsy results fell into a gray area. Did I have cancer, or not? Dr. Weingrad met with other clinicians to discuss my case and finally, on his own, turned to Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York for a second opinion. Meanwhile we scheduled far more invasive surgery. Ill never forget the Saturday two weeks before that scheduled operation when I got a phone message from Dr. Weingrad--I was to call him immediately, he had the Sloan Kettering results, he was standing by his phone until I did. When I called he happily pronounced the four greatest words in the English language: You dont have cancer. That statement held true for 12 years, and when I did have cancer, Dr. Weingrad performed the surgery that may have saved my life. Ill never believe anything ill of him. This is the last person in the world who would perform unnecessary surgery on purpose. Combating cancer is a science, but its also an art, and he is an artist.
