I have been bringing my dog to VCA Aventura since she was 6 months old - she is now 15! The love and care that the staff have for not only her, but myself, is unlike anywhere else Ive ever been. Sara is a perfect example of that. She has been there for many many years, and never ceases to amaze me every time I drop by. If you want a clinic that truly cares for you and your pet, go here!

I took my dog to have his infected eye looked at. Everyone was very nice and attentive here. I especially appreciated Sara’s care and insight. The procedure was quicker than I expected and the doctor answered all my questions, what to expect in the upcoming weeks and how to avoid a drastic surgery. Thank you so much!

The staff are very professional, understanding and caring for our loving pets. My Chihuahua has allergies condition Dr. Rivas was able to pin point my dog health issues. He recommended and prescribed medications for her skin flare up as well some antibiotics injections and fungus shampoo. He was very caring with great explanation. I will always bring my dog to VCA in Aventura.😁🐩

They are the most caring place that we’ve taken our Kitty to, super affectionate towards Our cat TeeTee and the perfect treatment for him, he’s eating great (even the soft food), going to his litter box (no accidents). Dr. Urday, Andoni and Sara took excellent care of two of my cats today. One kitty is difficult to handle and their calm energy kept her relatively calm. Amazing.Under Dr. Urday’s care, my 15 year old cat is on the proper medication and appears to be thriving now.In addition, the front office staff was efficient, professional and caring.I have been coming here for the last 10 years after receiving mediocre care at other veterinary practices.Although I felt I was receiving good care here before Dr. Urday, he is a step above. I highly recommend Dr. Urday at VCA. .

Very nice place!If it wasnt for Fernanda and dr. Urjay, my dog would have died...They saved her life fast by having surgery and taking care of everything.Fernanda is the sweet person you can imagine, shes always ready to help, treating the animals as babies and a cooler person to talk to us humans too!

I am so happy to send this review for the Aventura Animal Hospital. They have always given us exceptional service.Dr . Basto ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️is the very best! She takes to heart the health of your pet. Our dog was very sick, she would not quit and knew there was something else and put in all her efforts to finally figure out our dog suffer frm liver and thyroid issues. Very caring, helpful and explains medical conditions in terms we can understand. She follows up on all test and keeps us informed. Our other dog is very healthy and she gives him the same loving care! We are blessed to have Dr. Besto and Adventuraanimal Hospital!

I’ve been coming to VCA for the past 3 years since I adopted my dog. My dog is almost 9 years and he has problems of trust and aggressive behavior to strangers because of his traumatic past. I’ve been in contact with Michelle the manager and she has been very understanding and accommodating to my request. However, employees changes every time I go there. Specially veterinarians.Today, I had the worst service in my life. DVM CARLOS URDAY was in charge of my dog’s yearly check up. Appointment at 11:30 am. He sedated my dog as usual and then he has to knock him down completely to examine his eyes closely. He recommended a couple products (visit $1000). Everything was fine until I noticed my dog was not waking up in the time frame as previous past visits. Then the issue started when we were getting close from their closing time at 5:00pm. My dog couldn’t stand up or move his legs. Last time I spoke with the manager she said I could leave my dog in case he was too drowsy because the elevator in my building was not working and my dog is 80lb. I asked the tech Jessica to check that possibility and she was willing to help. Then Carlos URDAY said i couldn’t leave my dog there and kicked me literally out to the street. He got into an argument with me. He screamed, confront me and show lack of professionalism. He was rude and negligent. Never in my life was treated like that and kicked out with an animal in that condition.He never understood I was worried about my dog’s health . It’s 11 pm and I still in my car waiting for my dog to wake up. I’m glad Jessica, vet tech , was there to helped me and approach to the situation in a different manner, being more human.Carlos URDAY is definitely in the wrong career!! Please be away from this guy he will take your money and won’t care about anything else !! So disappointed that VCA has people like him working with clients and animals! Shame of you ! Mi

It was great the first few visits but after a while I realized that we were being pushed into unnecessary test. Dog went in for a UTI and they pushed labs and X-rays. Walked out spending over $600. This issue I started having with them is that when I would come in to check in it’s as if they were ignoring me. I would have to speak up and say something each time

Excellent pet care, Customer service, attitude, energy, very attentive to your and your pets needs/concerns All around. My usual hospital was closed and everywhere I went was giving me a hard time to get my dog’s food. After many unsuccessful attempts, this hospital was my saving grace. The reception supervisor Nelly was extremely patient with me and answered all of my questions. I’m seriously considering making this my main hospital. 10/10 I Highly recommend.

This hospital is the best! I didnt want to travel all the way to my usual vet in deerfield beach but my dog needed food. I didnt even have the prescription and I was freaking out but they were able to help me. This is definetly my new food place. Gemma the receptionist was so kind and patient I was so lost but she really took the time to help me . thanks guys!

My cat has been suffering from severe allergies for years now. This is the only place that was able to help me!! Especially Dr. Carlos Urdae. I really recommend them, the staff is awesome, very welcoming (specially Laura) they also have been handling the covid protocols really good :)

I’ve had 3 fecal tests done on my pets from here and each time I’ve had to be the one to call to see if results were in.Whenever Ive called to ask a question they tell me they’ll call back soon and 5 hours later I have to be the one to call back.I’ve dropped off a stool sample to call the next day and ask if has been sent in and the answer we got was “I think so”. Come the next day, it’s just sitting in a fridge.One of the vet techs just gave my dog some medication and didn’t tell my girlfriend what it was or what it was for and then walked out of the room before she could ask any questions. We had to call another vets office to find out what the medication was even for.In all a horrible experience and would not recommend. And this was all in a matter of 3 weeks.

Michelle the hospital manager, Nelly the front desk, Melanie the front desk, the doctors are good but the rest of the staff are money hungry evil people. During the holidays they charged me a total of $600.Nelly does not know her information when telling members about the renewal of the membership, she had told me the day of service that the cost will be going to my membership. Wrong! It turned out I was canceling the membership for my past due balances when I had already canceled the membership months back.They waste your time and money and energy. You don’t want to go to this place.

The staff is very welcoming to all of your dogs needs even if they are more serious. I got all the answer from Dr. Aleksejev who told me all my dogs problems and how severe they were. Compared to other doctors who were blowing the problems way out of proportion, and charging ridiculous prices. He told me the exact solutions to the problems which were not nearly as costly and very logical. 👍

Had an emergency with my baby dog and I didnt have an appointment I just went there and asked them for help, they were awesome with us, they were for us when we need it most, no price for that!!!!.... At Banfield when we used to go and where we had a wellness plan with they just told me no appointment until next week, we can not see her, my dog could died and they didnt care... Thats why Im so grateful with VCA Aventura

I can only a test for the quality of care from Dr Mitchell. I have been going to her with. Specs for about 15 years and I happened to know that she’s extremely knowledgeable as well as caring. They were a little bit expensive but as far as I’m concerned her particular type of care is not always easy to find.

Rocco my baby yorkies, Checkup was due. We found VCA on yelp with great reviews and 10 minutes or less from my apartment. I called right away to make an appointment. I was also told if it was my first visit I would get the checkup for FREE. We all love free I would just need to subscribe on VCA webpage and I would receive an email with a coupon, must print or take a screen shot.The day of the appointment arrived 15 minutes early incase of traffic or if I needed to fill some paperwork. Which we did and I was also asked for Roccos shots records. I was not told to bring that information over the phone. Lucky me I had a picture of it.I believe I had to wait maybe about 10 minutes. Not bad. Customers kept coming in so I highly recommend making an appointment.When the vetenerian assistant called for Rocco and not me, made my day just cuz hes the patient. We walked in to the room and the cutest moment was walking straight to the wall with a big rustic black bore with Roccos name that said Welcome Rocco. Everything in the room was so cute, puppys pictures and quotes.When the doctor walked in she introduce her self by the name Dr.Pet.. so cute...She first asked what was my concerns and reasons of the visit. I told her it was more about his teeth and breath smell also about his eye rash, he scratches way too much.She was really helpful and checked Roccos temperature, heartbeat and ears. She recommend brushing his teeth more often and making an appointment to remove some small stains on teeth. Other than that everything Looks great. When the appointment ended I asked if she could take a picture with Rocco and she was more than happy to.When I walked out we got more information for second teeth appointment. I was explain every detail and my options and prices. At the end of it I had to email my coupon.I gave it a four star for the reason that the end of the appointment one of the girls in the front desk seemed upset after I told her I had a first time coupon visit. She gave me an attitude about it that I didnt tell her when I arrived, which I did tell to another lady that was there before she was.Overall, I loved it and will continue going. With appointment...

Ive been going to different vets through out the years, However this clinic knows what they are doing. The customer service is more than I could ask for. Very knowledgable staff. Nellyann was patient with me in explaining the benefits of the Royal Canine my cat needed. I didnt feel rushed nor was there any attitude. This establishment is 10/10 in my book!

I took my dog ​​in need of an EMERGENCE OXYGEN ... at 6pm ... this facitily closes at 7pm ... there was a veterinarian on site, but she cant answer because she had a date ... the receptionist coldly asked to take my dog ​​to another vet (I asked for davor its URGENT) she said she couldnt do anything .... I went to Holywood Animal Hospital ... where he died as soon as we arrived (think twice when taking your dog in this place where they are only concerned with the money you are going to spend ... believe me there are no professionals in this place* I just saw your answer ... but I think that before giving an answer you should read my review .... you want to blame Covid ... that happened in January 2020 (there was no Covid this time ) ... an answer as much as equivalent to the services of this establishment ... totally unprofessional

I have been taking ALL my pets to the Aventura VCA for many many years and Dr Mitchell has always done an extremely professional, knowledgeable and responsible job. I will continue going there as long as I have pets. In fact, everyone I know take their pets there and are delighted with their service.A bit pricey however it is worth every penny and with pet insurance even better.As far as the comments I read regarding waiting time, all I can say is that they have a very busy practice and for a good reason. No different than when humans go to see a doctor, arrive on time and have to wait sometimes two hours before one can see them only because they are that good.

This place is awesome! My pup goes for daycare services. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very professional. There are a lot of new people so I am sorry that I dont recall their names but Emmanuel is fantastic! Erica, Stephanie at the desk, Moe and the entire crew really take care of my pup. Ive used their vet services and grooming services as well. It may not be the least expensive (monthly daycare gets expensive) but its worth it. There is always room for improvement however, the people here are the reason why I keep coming back. They are genuine, treat my pup like family and are very knowledgeable. Not to mention they have a world of patience... my little pup can be a handful sometimes.P.S. They can get very busy at times but thats because they are so great!

First time using this vet. Made an appointment over the phone to have a routine shot for my dog. When we got in we were practically ignored by front desk “supervisor” to wait for an hour for no update, no apology just sitting there. Once we asked how much longer 40 min into our wait, we were told the doctor will be out shortly. We waited another 10 min we left! If you go here, you will be leaving another 1 star review just like myself.

I have been bringing my dogs to Dr Mitchell since 2002. I love how hands-on she is with the exams -- she really gets in there and has no fear of being bitten or anything. She is very knowledgeable, experienced, and competent. I have used other vets from time to time when living in other areas, and I feel the most confident with Dr Mitchell, especially if something like surgery is needed. Granted there can be a wait, and they may not be the least expensive, but having a top notch vet is whats most important to me. Also should mention, Sharon the groomer is terrific, as are Kim and Emmanuel.

Very bad experience with VCA Aventura Animal Hospital. I called in advanced to know how the doggy day care worked and they told me that they only needed my dogs vaccine records for first time dogs. By the time I arrived the information was another: they demanded a clinical exam with a veterinarian and stool sample also, which cost us $100. The impression is that it is a place that wants to make money on customers. I had an appointment and didnt have time to search or leave my dog elsewhere. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS KIND OF PLACE.

My experience at Aventura Animal Hospital was surprisingly excellent! The reason I was surprised was because after 30 years of using Hollywood Animal Hospital I said I would never use a corporate owned hospital (VCA type) again. But, since AAH is so nearby, we took our dog there. Our visit started out well, Moe, the Vet Tech was very professional and pleasant and was able to calm our little 17 year chihuahua down. The Vet we used, DR. NEWMAN was superb! She was thorough, kind and caring.I would highly recommend Dr. Newman and VCA should commend her on providing excellent service with a genuine concern about the animals welfare. For this reason, we will continue to go to Dr. Newman. I hope VCA considers more of individual pet care VS a corporate business attitude, if so they will succeed. Thank you Dr. Newman!

I was in the area and saw VCA at the end of the plaza by Bed Bath & Beyond. Figured I might as well pick up some dog and cat food. Ive never entered any VCA business before. I was greeted by Stephanie as soon as I walked in and both Sara and Stephanie were quite knowledgeable about the type of food I should buy given their different health issues. Ended up buying food I dont normally buy but my pets love the food and they even seem healthier. Although Im not normally in the Aventura area (hate the traffic), I will definitely stop by soon to stock up some more. Its worth the drive! MAJOR PLUS: I noticed they have some pet-friendly candles that smelled just as great, if not better, than what I can find at Yankee Candle. Never knew of pet-friendly candles before my visit here. Thanks Sara and Stephanie!

I took my dog Stitch there because he wasn’t feeling well. I was really pleased with how accommodating the front desk staff was and how quickly the doctor saw us. The vet and her assistant were knowledgable and great with Stitch, who tends to be a nervous dog. I am happy to say Stitch is feeling much better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

**This is only ONE of my horrible experiences at this clinic. In the past, they failed to diagnose my cat with a very serious case of asthma that became life threatening.**DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! THE DOCTORS AND STAFF ARE CARELESS AND WILL KILL YOUR ANIMALS! In particular, do not ever make an appointment with Dr. Trujillo. She is extremely discriminatory and does not take her job seriously. She spoke to me like I was a child, in a condescending manner and dismissed everything I said to her. She seemed in an extreme rush to get home, since I got there so close to closing time.I came in late night as an emergency, my cat had a litter of kittens and they seemed to be in bad shape after the first night. One of the kittens died on my way over and I came in crying, distraught, the entire staff did not seem to be taking me seriously. After a moment, the doctor comes in and is extremely rude and in a rush. Mind you, I am the only person left to be seen in the clinic. She examines my cat for less than 2 minutes and says all the kittens and mom cat are fine. I express to her that mom cat had been coughing, wheezing, and had a history of asthma. I also let her know I had given all my cats a homeopathic worm remedy at home ONE TIME. Dr. Trujillo insisted that they were fine, so I paid and was on my way. EVERY. SINGLE. KITTEN. DIED. All 8 of them. I took my cat to another vet, and came to find out that mom cat had a nasty upper respiratory infection, which means the kittens all had it, too. This is how they died. How can a doctor be so negligent and miss something so big? Dr. Trujillo was extremely rude and unprofessional both during my appointment and when I texted her to let her know all the kittens died. She insisted they died because of something that I did wrong. If I had the time and energy to sue this horrible place, I would. I just want to come on here to warn everyone to please be careful, and do your research before you trust these heartless people with your beloved pets. None of the staff really cares about your pets, all they are concerned with is making as much money as possible off of you.

You need to wait an hour in the waiting room, then wait an hour in the visitor room, and then theyll spend five minutes with you, and youll be done. When you call to make an appointment, they make you wait more than 10 minutes, and most of the time they hangup up on you, when you need to talk to the doctor, youre begging a doctor to call back for weeks. And the price of this hospital is twice as high!!!!!!!

Was only once about 3 1/2 years ago. I had to get my cat his shots for my move home. The staff was outstanding with my senior cat. He fussed a little( but he fussed with me, so it wasnt a new thing.) By the time me and my cat left, he was actually friendly with the staff.

I had the unfortunate experience of losing my pet of 16 years this weekend, but I feel very fortunate to have found Aventura Animal Hospital to have helped me through it. First, they are one of the very few vets with Sunday hours and given that pet emergencies dont always happen Monday-Friday this was a blessing. They fit me in without complaint - I didnt have an appointment and had never visited the office before with my pet. The staff was professional and very compassionate and helped me with the difficult choice to euthanize my much loved cat. The doctor and her technician could not have been more caring or attentive or patient. As a side note, the facility was amazing - very clean and comfortable. Its clear money earned is returned to the business to offer a professional environment to their human and non-human clients! Some other reviews make note of high prices and extras, but I found the fees to be very reasonable and no one tried to sell me anything - they were focused only on the business at hand, which was caring for my pet. If and when I find myself in need of a vet again I will definitely return to Aventura Animal Hospital.

Personnel is nice, but I dont think the service is good. I took my dog for a check up after he threw up food with some blood. The vet told me my dog looked very stable and good, so it might be something he ingested. She suggested a treatment to stop the vomiting and fluids for dehydration, some blood test to check if theres something else, and leaving the dog hospitalized. My dog didnt need to stay in the hospital neither the treatment to stop the vomiting, the problem was the blood he threw up and I didnt really received an answer to that neither my dog was treated for it. The vet said she definitely needed to give my dog the injection to stop the vomiting and also the fluids... nothing about the blood.. I felt like they needed to find something extra to add to the bill, and that was it. This place is very expensive, youre not allow with your pet while being treated, and you will wake away with a pet still needing care. Go find somewhere else to take your pet.

Been taking my furry baby to VCA since he was a puppy and he is 12 years old now. The regular staff all know my little guy and welcome us with smiles and check in on how he is doing. Dr. Mitchell is my preferred for all my visits and knows my dog well and always follows up with me after each visit.

The worst animal clinic ever!!!! We came to this hospital to rewrap my dog’s cast, she is 3 lb, very small and usually we use to hold her while doctor put the wrap around, they told us they will manage her and they don’t need our help, then we saw that they put her to sleep!!! What??? With out telling us, with no our approval!!!! They doing what ever they want!!!!she felt very bad after... the same night the cast came off because they didn’t do it properly... they refuse to put it again with no charge!!! It wasn’t even 24 hours!!!! I’m not suggesting to anyone to use their service, they don’t care about your animals and their health!!! The only thing they care it’s your money and for them to do the job easier!!! For 2 minutes procedure they put my tiny baby to sleep!!! Each time they put your animal to sleep it’s a risk, why would they do something like this with no need? Just to charge you extra?

I am absolutely APPALLED by this facility! I took my dog in as an emergency after accidentally getting hit by a car while my dog-sitter was walking her & this office took everything I explained so lightly. I walked in CRYING & they had the audacity to tell me we have a staff meeting right now so you can leave her & we will look at her when we get out. Obviously not wanting to leave my dog alone, I waited for them for ONE HOUR after driving from very far just to go there since this is the closest facility to my home. If you are a dog lover & take your pets seriously DO NOT take your time, money, & concerns to this facility because they will honestly not give your pet the attention they DESERVE! ***DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY, THEY ARE ANIMAL HATERS!***

I gave 5 stars for the professionalism of their staff , I mean all, the vet who saw my dog and front desk employees.As opposite to others, I had very positive experience. Dr. De Vivero is a phenomenal veterinarian that took my 13 years old Poodle under his care. My brother lives in Orlando and the veterinarian there barely even looked at Sparky and determined he was too old to even bother caring for his medical problems. Thats when I recommended to have Sparky seen at VCA Aventura with Dr. De Vivero. He gave a thorough exam to Sparky and recommended many steps to ensure his health care including his skin coat allergy to fleas and taught us how to administer daily eye drops. He discovered that Sparky had a heart murmur and gave us the proper medications that wouldnt affect his kidneys and keep his blood pressure stabilized. The only complaint I have is that I have brought five dogs to VCA Aventura but the management barely gives any discounts considering Ive taken upon myself to bring them all my pets. They charge a lot of money for tests. I can easily say I spent over $1000+ on Sparky alone.. Other than that, a few of the staff are very friendly and make me feel happy when I visit because they recognize my pet family.

Took my cat there 3 times in the last 2 months for the same problem. After spending over $600 , and temporary relief of meds, I brought my cat in again today to be greeted by a rapper at the front desk, then after waiting over an hour, the technician came in to give me a treatment plan for over $700 without the Dr. seeing my cat , telling me that they may have to cut off his penis, and all sorts of future surgery. Very unprofessional and completely untrustworthy. I would never step a foot in this place !!!

I started out by taking my cat to the South Beach clinic when they were under one company. Then VCA purchased Aventura Animal Hospital. In the recent years when I take my cat in for a semi annual check up one of the vets kept telling me I need to have my cat go through X-Rays and it didnt seem normal for just a wellness exam. I refused and a few months later I brought my cat in because he was sneezing with runny eyes. A different vet said he was fine. Within a week he was sneezing and coughing blood so I brought him back in so that vet misdiagnosed him. They gave him a shot which cured his infection. I gave this clinic one more chance and scheduled with a different vet which I was very impressed with because he was much more thorough in examining my cat. I have been complaining of my cat being so constipated that he hasnt had a normal bowl movement in so long. I called the clinic today to ask what can I give my cat because last night he had watery stools and went all over my carpet. I was told the vet was unavailable and left a message. :I never heard back from her. My neighbors who have also brought their pet to this clinic also were unhappy. I will be finding another vet. I think the last vet that saw my cat should think about going on his own because he was the only competent vet there that saw my pet.

This place is horrible!!! please pet lovers do not take your pets to this hospital, they are more concerned about the MONEY than saving your pets life. I just lost my dog at this hospital, they charged me almost 2000 dollars and made very little effort to save her, all they did was put her in an oxygen cage and she died the same night. I am deeply hurt and sad over losing her, please dont make the same mistake I did, if you love your pet please stay away from this place.

I boarded my dog there for 10 days and I knew it would be complicated because my dog has never been with anyone but my son and myself. I started taking my dog there for doggie daycare a couple months prior to the trip. It went pretty well considering my female dog also doesnt like men. I would board her there again BUT i wouldnt take anything that has sentimental value. I thought I was doing the right thing by taking a couple of her toys and a beach size towel she likes to fluff up in her bed. Thats where the problem is. Im still bothered that someone stole her towel. The towel was a milkbone I love my pet towel that I got for my first pet that has since died. Suzy was a sheltie chow mix that was like my baby. I am actually sick over it. I asked where it was the day I picked her up, someone was suppose to look for it. No one called so I called and asked about it again and told them the sentimental value, no one has still called. There wasnt a need to even take it out her bed. Go figure, some people will steal anything. The towel was frayed on one end, my current dog knew when she saw me taking it in the bathroom she was going to get a bath and she would run to her cage.After writing this review the towel was found(20 days later). I am grateful to have it back BUT it was ruined. Someone bleached it and ruined the colors. The dog bones and paws were black and the writing was in red. Know it’s just a muddy weird color.

The groomer is horrible her attitude is beyond rude. The reason why she only grooms sedated animals is because animals can sense a negative vibe person. The vet portion on point however the groom has some serious karma coming her way.

I came in as an emergency with my dog tootsie. I cant speak highly enough of the kindness, professionalism and level of care given to my dog and me! Dr Sandrine Mccubbin was the most patient doctor I have ever dealt with. She was knowledgeable, kind, caring and patient. She took her time to answer ALL of my questions thoroughly and was very kind and knowledgeable! The staff Genesis the technician, Marjorie the receptionist and Jennifer the manager were all absolutely amazing, kind, patient and caring!! I highly recommend and would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you, thank you, thank you from both me (Rebecca) and tootsie!!

The ABSOLUTE WORSE place you can take your pet. We took our dog there, 3 LBS Dog.It was misdiagnosed, operated on and they charge you for malpractice. Our poor dog has a small eating disorder that she cannot eat too much at once, they claimed she had a foreign body and they must operate NOW!. THey did, they found nothing and made the dog worse and then they invoice and charge our card. Stay Far away. USE HOLLYWOOD PET HOSPITAL Much better.

They only care about making money and not really your dog health. I took my dog for a checkout because he was coughing and even showed video of his symptoms. Doctor said it was a back pain and gave him medication which caused him to have a heart attack and next morning at 8am he died. I took my dog to them in tears asking why they gave the wrong diagnostic and to provide him CPR and what it caused me more frustration is that they asked me for $600 for them to proceed with the CPR! I can understand that people make mistakes and giving wrong diagnostic is a human mistake but I do not understand how rude and cold they acted when they asked me for $600 when my dog was not breathing and they took 10 minutes to decide what to do! I was in shock I could not believe that they asked me for money when my dog was dying. To make this worse after my dog passed away, the nurse did not even cover him with love he took him like a piece of garbage bag with one arm and carried him to the back like he was nothing. This place is horrible, I was expecting an apologized from the doctor who made the mistake and she never even called me to say she was sorry. I hope your heart tells you which decision you should take if you are thinking in taking your dog here. People and businesses who do wrong and are unethical will never be successful in life or in any business.

THIS IS THE LAST PLACE YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR PET. Having recently moved to Aventura from South Beach, I brought my 13 pound poodle, Pasha to Aventura Animal Hospital to treat her for Pyometra. Pyometra is an infection in the uterous and is considered a serious and life threatening condition that must be treated quickly and aggressively. Pasha had an episode previously so we knew what we were dealing with. After checking out her ears, teeth and body for other potential issues they blood work and x-rays to confirm our diagnosis. They charged us TWICE what we had previously paid the clinic on Miami Beach. TWICE. What really galls me is when we brought Pasha to another clinic for a followup, the other clinic found Pasha also had an ear infection which Aventura Hospital clearly missed.

VCA bought the only decent animal hospital in this whole area, the promised to not cut the hours or change anything. They have fired half the staff, stopped the 24 hour emergency services. Brought in new rude ghetto staff. This client of 5 years will be looking for a new vet imidiatly. The owner of VCA hospital motto on his corporate page is owners will pay anything for their pets. This vile Jewish man makes me sick to call him part of my people, who are Jewish and dont behave this way. Im so grateful to the staff for being so caring and especially to Dr. Basto! I have a Frenchie named Gus, hes 1.5 and for a little over six months hes has squirts with blood. I had taken him to 5 different vets in south Florida and orlando did all the tests available and no answer as to what was causing this. Weve also had him on a variety of different diets and nothing! When Dr. Basto saw me she knew I was at my wits end!! Gus was lethargic... at the appointment she gave me something to remedy him for a little bit but promised me to look into it further so I was not spending a bunch of money on unnecessary tests.... later on that night I get a text that she found what it could possibly be and a possible cure. Well not only was she right but this is the longest Gus has had no issues and his stool is solid with no abnormalities. I couldnt be happier with them and that Gus is better!!!

I would switch if I didnt love Dr Joel so much No reason for it to be so difficult to make a simple vaccination appointment! Please do not take your animals here I was a loyal customer for many years I gave them many chances they don’t care about you you are just a number also veterinarians don’t stay too long, too many bad changes. They stopped their emergency services which are needed. The staff tonight helped me make my decision to leave as well no more emergency services stay clear it’s a money pit that’s all they care about!

***WARNING*** NEVER GO HERE!!!! If I could give this place a negative I most definitely would! I took my dog early in the morning for a MEDICATED FLEA BATH. I receive a call around 2PM telling me they had to give him a pill because he had fleas... the whole reason I took him there was because of the fleas!!! The lady tells me that they gave him a regular bath & then had to give him a pill for fleas! I was $37.50 for the medicated bath and they ended up charging me $100.62 for a normal dog bath! These people dont care about the animals wellbeing just the money they can make from an individual visit. NEVER TAKE YOUR LOVED FRIEND TO THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL!
