This has to be one of the best primary care doctors Ive had in a long time! They may be a little hard to reach considering how many patients Ive seen come and go the times Ive gone but they always try their best to return your call. My PCP goes above and beyond to make sure I have the care I need and the staff definitely makes you feel at home. They make you feel like a part of their family. I will definitely recommend to everyone I know. Keep up the great work guys.

Its a nice place, clean, the staff are kind but really a bit difficult to contact. I would especially like to thank Ms. Carmem Z., I believe she is the manager, for her always help!

I have been a patient of MedFlorida in the Aventura, FL location for a year and a half.I never received a bill but recently was put in collection for a bill of $101.11 supposedly from a telemedicine visit on 1/7/2021.On their billing portal my statement it states that I do not owe any money.The office and the billing department confirmed that as well when I was there in May to draw blood.My question is how can they send their patients to a collection agency before at least sending a bill and or calling if they believe there is an outstanding bill.That is a horrible way to treat patients!I called three times the MedFloridas office between 6/15 and 6/16 after I received this collection agency bill and left messages each time to the billing department and to the Billing Manager who has not returned my calls yet.I was transferred to someone in the medical department today who herself was not able to understand was I was sent to collection and was not able either to reach the billing supervisor for me while I waited on the other line.This is horrible and not the first fist issue I had.Whenever I call to speak to a nurse after an office visit and leave a message I almost never get a call back.I have to go through numerous calls before I am called back and sometimes I do not get called back at all and need to start all over again...This is an awful way to practice medicine. The only reason I am still with this practice is because I like my doctor.

This place is a real walking nightmare. If you have an emergency, go your way somewhere else. Theyll never call you back, no one knows what is going on in this facility, Its a mess without a name if you are lucky enough they will carry you around, from one person to another, to keep you informed. GOOD LUCK ! The right hand doesnt know what left is doing. Im still waiting for them to come back to me of an emergency two months ago. A real emergency. Radio silence. They couldnt care less even if they tried. Despite this murderous incompetence of this circus, Dr Citron is a good doctor if you can manage to get an appointment with her. Because they dont know anything about her schedule. Its almost laughable

My father and I visited this office today and someone dropped the ball with the referral for the cardiologist. We had seen the PCP Dr. Paola Cintron yesterday virtually and she said she will have the referral ready for my father to see his cardiologist for the following day (today). We have waited months for this visit to only have the office of Dr. Paola Cintron at MedFlorida medical center not have the referral ready. We spoke to the referral coordinator and she said my dad needs to have an x-ray and and EKG to get the referral... she also said “the cardiologist might not have an X-ray or ekg so we can do it here”.. I am not buying this...how could a cardiologist not have an ekg or X-ray capabilities I said...we are so confused and cannot believe that our long do specialist appointment is in jeopardy. Please MedFlorida, make some changes ASAP!!!

I was having difficulty with a referral but Martha at the Aventura location worked with me and got me situated all before a holiday weekend. They have always had great advice on where to seek the top of lmthe line specialists for my health care problems.

When you call the phone number for the Aventura office you can never reach anybody there. You only get to speak to someone if you press option 2 on their recording and than the person who answers is not working at that location, so they can only schedule an appointment for you, but if you need to speak to a doctor or nurse forget about it! You only get an answering machine and you can leave all the messages you want, but nobody will call you back! Very frustrating and unprofessional. And to get a referral is another task on its own. Took more than a week to get it and when they finally forwarded it to the hospital, it wasn’t even correct! If anyone knows a decent doctor that you can get with ambetter health insurance, please let me know! Preferably in Aventura area. I really would like to switch from this doctors office.

I was supposed to be seen by Dr. Cintron today. I arrived at 2:25 pm and my appointment was at 2:30pm, waited for the front desk assistant and she said that I was late because I am a new patient and needed to be there 30 minutes prior my appointment. I didnt know that! Then she was on the phone for more than 5 mins and then told me that I need to reschedule the appointment. I told her I requested a day off from work for this appointment. She said sorry you have to reschedule, the doctor can not see you and dont know why because I was the only patient waiting to be seen by the doctor. This is really bad!!

I would like to thank in particular Dee Sunday referral Department. My 90 year old mother is a cancer survivor three times and she needs a lot of referrals for the specialist , Dee makes sure all referrals are done on time. That really means a lot to me because this is very important for my mother. everyone is very pleasant and very helpful in the office. Also Danni Palmer is nice as well as Ellvia.

I visited MedFlorida Medical Center in January of 2019 as a new patient for an annual visit with PA Palmer. My first time experience was average, paperwork, a bit of a wait time, typical weight, height, general questions, blood work then I was good to go until my next annual physical.Departing my visit I made my annual appointment for 2019. I confirmed my appointment on Friday through the automated phone call and arrived at my appointment today, Monday, 15 minutes early, only to learn that I lost my appointment- it was given away to someone else.The receptionist/ front desk seemed to already be agitated and dealing with another appointment mistake and tried to reschedule me for tomorrow. I work a full time management role, took today off, confirmed my appointment and simply could not return the next day. MY APPOINTMENT was CONFIRMED. I also received a voicemail 1 hour before the appointment asking for a call back, no mention of losing the appointment OR sense of urgency. I was already en route to the appointment and seeing as I confirmed, did not feel I needed to return the call in that moment. I’ve never received a call an hour before anything that was fully booked and confirmed.40 minutes later, the office manager Martha, came out with a full blown attitude dismissing the fact that they were indeed in the wrong, and I can’t be seen. The doctors time is booked. Fair enough, but what about my time and patient care? She began to raise her voice and challenge what I was stating and mock me because it didn’t work for her. Also her choice in vocabulary was comical to say the least. I believe you have better communication and service at the DMV, at least they keep appointments.If you’re seeking moderate care, and possibly to have an appointment around your scheduled time consider going else where.Distasteful experience from a group who do not have the better interest and service of their patients in mind.

Every member of the staff here from the receptionist to the doctors make coming here as pleasant as going to the doctor can be. The front office staff is polite, cheerful and welcoming. The physicians assistants are discreet, respectful and professional. Finally, my doctor (who after my first visit will be my doctor from now on) was thorough and took as much time as was needed to address my concerns and answer my questions. I definitely recommend this medical office.

I just wanted to thank all the doctors and staff at the Aventura office for being so punctual, accommodating, friendly, and truly concerned about my care and well being. I have been a patient here for over four years and have never had to wait for more than 10-15 minutes before being called in. I love that as I am a working person. The doctors and staff were nice and wait time wasnt too bad. My only problem was when given paperwork to get some tests done at other lab, they gave me the wrong paperwork for someone else. I called and noticed no one really apologized or kind of see that had I not noticed couldve gotten some unnecessary testing. So be vigilant all your paperwork is your own!

Hi I called this morning it took about 10 calls for someone to finally answer I wanted to make an appointment with Danny Palmer and Carmen told me I can not go in until January 6th, I told her that my throat is hurting very bad she said go to urgent care thats why you have insurance....Last time I went to Urgent care before seeing Danny Palmer he advised to go see him before...Carmen was VERY RUDE to me and because of her I will be finding a new primary Dr. Dr Palmer was very GOOD doctor but having people like Carmen dont represent you well.She is telling me to go to urgent care so what is the point of having a primary doctor I should always go do urgent care correctThank you Carmen because of you and the horrible way you speak to patients I will never be coming to this office again.

At first i didnt have a good experience but then i spoke with my dr and she said that they are trying there best to recruit great medical assistants. I guess they are actually doing as promised. The medical assistants pick the phone up quite quickly and they are polite. Also, if you have an emergency they will help you out to the best of there ability. I am quite happy with there services in changing things around! Keep up the good work!!!

I love Danny he’s very attentive to all concerns and makes sure all questions are answered. Staff has never steered me wrong always nice and I’m always in and out both me and my mom have been going to him for years !

So RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. The secretaries who’s job is to answer the phone seem upset that you’re calling. I was left on hold, hung up on and ignored when I tried calling back about ten times until I finally left an angry message and guess what? They answered my next call. Apart from sub par attention from the practitioners, I’m supposed to be treated like trash by the receptionists? No thanks. Taking my medical care elsewhere.

I am here to change my review because today I received the call back from the billing Department, namely from Joanne. She was super nice and very responsible. She solved my problem in an efficient way and I wished everyone in the Billing Department worked as good as her! Not overall the billing department deserves 5 starts, but Joanne does.

I have been a patient of Medical Consultants for over 10 years. Within the last year or so they hired a new female doctor. Please stay away from her, she is dangerous. I went there for my annual physical. She asked me a couple of question and walked out. She completed my physical without physically touching me. I did complain and was offered to see another doctor but the damage was already done.

HORRIBLE SERVICES!!! Receptionists are rude and unprofessional. I scheduled appointment several days prior with doctor Paola Cintron, MD and when I arrived receptionist told me that I will be seeing a physician- consultant ( PA-C ) instead !!! I specifically asked to see Dr.Palmer ( MD) because I was looking for a primary care physician and had a health concerns, I waited for this appointment several days and didnt go to another doctor or emergency room. The physician- consultant cant even write a prescription if I need it, thats why it was so important for me to see MD doctor!!! BEWARE OF Medical Consultants of Florida!!!! Very dissapointed!!!! I even had to call corporate office and left a complain. If you really care for your health,search and read reviews on Google before scheduling appointments with this kind of service.

Ive been going here for years since I was younger. In fact, I even moved and continued to go out of my way by coming to this one. The staff is generally nice and it doesnt take that long to be seen but theyre very disorganized and often forget to order tests. Dr Cepin is pretty smug and treats you like a child. I will wait longer to be seen by anyone but her. And Dr. Artega is a great physician. He made me feel comfortable and treated my illness very well. Overall, if youre in the area not a totally bad clinic.

Very bad service. Ive been struggling for 5 months with a prior authorization form required by my medical insurance to cover for a prescription. Apprently the staff here at Aventura is not completing the forms correctly and it keeps getting rejected by my insurance. I leave voicemails for my doctor and I NEVER get a call back. they never answer the phone either unless I choose the option to get an appointment then someone picks up. I have asked for the office manager and he /she is never available and never calls back either. Horrible, terrible service. Im searching for a new doctor/medical office in my insurance network.

I’m a 50 + male and I never submit a review but waited one year to submit the only one. In the past year and half, I’ve seen a great improvement with this medical office. It’s spotless, organized, energetic and the staff has really stepped up their game to make certain all patients are well cared for. My primary left at the end of the year and I was introduced to a new doctor, Dr. Cintron. Since my medical plan was about to expire I looked at other plans. But after I met with Dr. Cintron on three separate occasions, I was convinced there was NO reason to change. She is wonderful. She listens, she explains thoroughly, even researches for the latest info to share with you on an aliment you may have. Bottom line, it is great medical office. Although my membership plan through Obama Care went up and there were other plans lower, I stayed with Medical Consultants of Florida solely because of Dr. Cintron fabulous care and a meticulous office Mgr. Martha Alarcon, who is right there to assist you in every way to make your visit is thorough and enjoyable. It is also conveniently located right next to Aventura Hospital. I’m glad I stayed. They passed the high standards test---mine.

Visited Dr. Kayra this year, both my husband and I got our physicals done the same day, and we couldnt be happier, all the staff is extremely helpful, Martha the manager is very accommodating and helpful, the girls Windia and Karya were very nice and had a lot of patience especially with me when doing blood work. All of the employees and doctors are great.My doctor was Dr. Cepin and now Dr. Cintron Villa, they are both great.

My primary healthcare provider has been Medcal Consultants of Florida at Aventura for more than 5 years and obviously, I’ve never felt the need to look elsewhere. I have always found the entire office and nursing staff to be smart, helpful and polite professionals and I have depended on them without complaints, especially Martha and Dimaris, to advocate for me with my insurers, for my referrals and my prescriptions. The office is clean and comfortable and the wait times have always been reasonable. My experience over the years with the physicians on staff has been mostly positive and I can recommend Dr. Cintron without reservation.

Don’t use this place. Unprofessional un organized they do not know how to return a phone call left me without my insulin for four weeks. No follow up no nothing spoke to a Jeanette nasty unprofessional asked for a call back from the owner no call back, guilty

AWFUL! Stay away from this office, their service is terrible. They had me wait forever and never called me in. I arrived earlier than my appointment time and other people that came after me were called first. I notified the front desk but they didnt care. I left without seeing the doctor because I needed to return to work. They dont care about your time. Terrible!!!!

No one likes going to the doctor but if you have to go, this is a nice office to go to. The office staff are all very professional and helpful and the nurse is also excellent. Demaris helped me navigate thru a medical equipment order. Marta keeps my appts in order and Amber (nurse) really helps lessen the stress most people experience when they see a white coat. Shes smart, easy to talk with and a good listener. Dr. Arteaga is a good observer and talented diagnostician. Its nice to know my Drs. office is well run up front and in back.

This office has made it so convenient to come to the drs office. My initial visit a few years ago was for a routine physical, and I made my appt with Dr Palmer. I was greeted with courtesy by the lovely ladies up front, and was called back by the fabulous Amber R to take my vitals before seeing Dr Palmer. My anxiety is crazy when taking vitals, but Ambers upbeat, friendly personality has a way of getting me to relax. Overall, great experience with everyone! Ive been to medical consultants of Florida several times in addition for medical clearance for surgery my experience was nothing short of fantastic there were some issues with some of my pre test for my surgery which doctor Dr. Arteaga Resolved almost immediately with tremendous care and compassion after my surgery the doctor was extremely thorough at and following up and his care was absolutely amazing in addition the office manager Martha Alarcon was so helpful with setting up an urgent appointment helping with insurance paperwork and transportation through my insurance company and other paperwork that needed to be dealt with my experience was a very stress-free one The staff is absolutely amazing and The wait time was minimal unlike other doctors offices where theres usually quite a wait time they are punctual and respect your time this is a very caring and professional facility all around I would highly recommend this facility in particular doctor Arteaga thank you Doctor Arteaga for your excellent care and thank you Martha for helping me with all the red tape and dealing with the insurance company

Ive been to several Primary Care Physicians in the Aventura area and always felt rushed. With Dr. Cepin this was not the case. She is a great listener, highly attentive and took care of all my needs.
