I never leave negative reviews but I am paying the price from my last visit. I had fillings that I have had for years wearing down so the one dr recommended I get them refilled. I agreed, big mistake. A dr I have never had did them. I had issues and Covid hit so I couldn’t get in and we moved. I was in so much pain so a dr in my new state “fixed” them. Another one is giving me issues and just found out I need a root canal because the filling was done incorrectly and causing an infection. So disappointed as I am someone who has never had any issues and decided to get fillings refilled from normal wear down that I had originally done 15 years ago.

Absolutely terrible place. Doctor will barely talk to you. They told me I needed to extract all my teeth and get dentures. Went to another dentist, said that my teeth are no where near that bad and they are a denture farm. Disgusting. Almost ruined my life. 0/10 do not recommend.

Went there 3 times waited over an hour each time and was never seen even tho the receptionist told me on the 3rd visit it wouldnt be that long do t know how the dentists are because I never got that far lol I wouldnt reco.mend going there unless you want to make a while day out of it. Was a waste of time for me and the reason I left the third time was that I spoke to a lady in the waiting room and she told me they did the wrong procedure on her was supposed to have a root canal and never got it instead they took out one of her teeth that didnt need taken out and she was back because they left a nerve exposed after she told me that I was out the door and Ill never go back

The staff is just amazing. Hard working and always in good spirits. I have been going to them almost 2 decades now and I’ve never had a bad thing to say

My daughter had to be put to sleep to have dental work done! The service we received was amazing. She has been seeing Dr. P since she was 3. The staff was amazing, the Anesthesiologist was very informative. It was quick and easy. Before she knew it she was home in her bed resting comfortably. I would definitely recommend Refresh Austintown to whomever!!

I barely say down before I was called back for a cleaning with Jessica. She was professional in that she explained each procedure and the price. I was totally satisfied and would recommend this office.

My hygienist was great. Very general yet thorough. They don’t try to up sell you and tell you that you need a lot of unnecessary work.

Everyone at this office is very sweet . my hygienist did an amazing job and made me feel comfortable. Dr Petrakos was very straightforward, and didn’t give me the run around . I do not want to give them any stars! I had my teeth extracted 3 months ago, I paid for healing dentures so I would not have to go without teeth. They have not fit since day one. They are way too big for my mouth. No one there will listen when I tell them its not on the gums that are big, its the whole dentures. They make me look like a cartoon Character. They are not functional. I have went back multiple times to have them adjusted and still nothing. I spoke to the Brittany and the manager looking to get my money back. These healing dentures were suppose to be for 6 months, its been 3 and not once have I been able to wear them. They state I cannot get my money back that I needed to come in and have them adjusted again. I have had like 6 or 7 appointments to have them adjusted and the dentist even said they were remade. I paid a thousand dollars for a product that I have not been able to use once! They are thieves! They told me they would not fit perfectly and when I explained that someone I know had theirs out and their healing dentures are perfect, I was told well we do not work at the other place. Good thing they dont!!! This place is a disgrace!

Had a GREAT experience! Had severe tooth pain, needed a new dentist..Refresh Dental was amazing! Got me in the next day.. DR.RAJ was so very kind and compassionate! Made the dental surgery practically painless.. everyone that work there was so kind and caring.. Happy I found a new Dentist and will be going back!

Woke up in excruciating pain and couldnt be seen by my dentist for a whole week. Called every place I could and everyone was booked. Surprisingly, I was scheduled 2 hours out at the Atown location. Something told me to read the reviews and after reading them I was scared to go to my appointment but I still went because I had no choice at this point. To my surprise, nothing was like the reviews. The office wasnt dirty at least from what I seen. I didnt even wait 10 minutes before I was called back. Waiting a long time seemed to be the biggest complaint with most. Jessica was amazing! I believe that was her name. She answered all of my questions(roughly a dozen) and reassured me that everything would be okay because I was nervous from a previous bad experience at another dentist. Jessica was so great that I asked if my next appointment could be with her. Yes, I switched dentist after the great service! Dr P is a larger man but was very very gentle. I was nervous because I had told him that my mouth didnt feel completely numb. He stated that there would be pressure but no pain and got to work. I was a little upset by that but he pulled my tooth so fast that I didnt even realize that it was out. It literally took less than 10 seconds. He is amazing! The best part was that I felt nothing. I was told that I would be contacted about my upcoming procedure. It has been almost 3 weeks and I still havent been called. This could be the insurance fault though. A follow-up call after my extraction would have been nice but other than that everything was great. I learned never to judge a book by its cover. Reviews can be very misleading! Thanks again for the great service!

Loved the staff...very friendly, yet professional. My dental hygienist was super sweet and took the time to explain things to me about my teeth while I was there for my annual exam and cleaning. The dentist, Dr. Rajesh Baji, was very thorough...also very nice and laid back, and cracked a few jokes and made me laugh, which I appreciated. Highly recommend!

This place was excellent! My son had a tooth problem in the middle of the night. I called and first thing in the Am and they were able to get my son in same day. Excellent waiting time we went straight back. Dental hygienist was so gentle with my son. Staff over 10/10 So happy we found this place!

I was a little nervous going in knowing I had to get a tooth pulled but as soon as I met the nurse Brittany she made sure I was taken care of. I only had to wait about 2 minutes before being brought back into the room where I was explained what exactly was going to be taken place and they reassured me durning every step along the way. Doctor B was fantastic and fast and made sure that I was taken care of and that I was comfortable throughout the procedure. I will be going back for my normal cleanings and will bring my family for theirs as this was the best experience I have had in a dentist in a long time.

I could not have asked for a better experience! A visit to the dentist is usually a dreaded yet necessary part of life, right? I mean who likes the sound of those drills inside their mouths? Or having any foreign object in their mouths for that matter! But the staff at Refresh Dental did an amazing job at making the whole experience as pleasant and painless as possible! I have been going to Refresh Dental for some time now , I am very happy.

My appointment time was for 11:30 yet I wasnt seen for well over an hour after that time. I also booked this appointment with the soul purpose of getting a night guard only to not get it done today because the office wasnt sure if my insurance covered the costs or not. I had to go through tons of X-rays and photographs of my teeth only to get that information when this shouldve been dealt with sooner. I was also recommended physical therapy of the jaw which made no sense as it wouldn’t solve the actual problem. I wouldnt have even waited in that waiting room for as long as I did only for me to find out that I cant even get the thing I desperately need. I think transparency is important. The staff and doctor are lovely, dont misunderstand... but the whole experience was very hard and I ended up with an anxiety attack due to the whole ordeal.

My son had 2 teeth removed (to make room for braces). We were in and out the door in 20 min. It was painless for him and he didnt even have pain afterwards! The dentist was as nice and professional as could be. The most positive dental experience I have ever had.

Is anyone EVER going to call me back about rescheduling my appointment???? I’ve been in extreme pain since March and nobody will call me back! I had an appointment and the day of the appointment they cancel my it literally 1 hour before I have to go in!!! It’s hard to go somewhere else because I have Medicaid and no where around is accepting Medicaid. Please call me back I’m in so much pain and my teeth are literally falling out on their own!!😭

Be prepared to wait for a last an hour before they call you back. I was finally called back after an hour and 10 minutes of waiting. Then I was put in a chair and was made to wait another 15 minutes. Finally the tech came and took x-rays and said the Dr will be in soon to look at them. Dr comes in and says I have two cavities and a worn tooth that needs a cap. He then tells me they are too busy to do the procedure today that I have to reschedule. They are scheduling a month and a half out! They over book patients, causing them to wait an excessive about of time. Then they cant even do anything for you! I swear they do this to bill the insurance companies for extra visits. If I had another dentist in my area that took my insurance I would most definitely go somewhere else.

Im a current patient & when I called with a broken tooth & pain, I was given an appointment over a week away. Luckily, my medical doctor got me in (immediately) and could prescribe a much needed antibiotic. When I called 2 days later, due to an increase in swelling, including some swelling in my throat, I was told that someone would get back to me as soon as they could. I have yet to have heard from them. At this point, Im only having trouble swallowing, hopefully I can make it until tomorrow, without any trouble breathing. I may end up in the ER if the swelling gets much worse. I cant believe they didnt feel the need to return my call. I was looking for some advice on when to seek emergency care, and what, if anything else, I could be doing to lessen these symptoms. It would have taken them 15 minutes max to return my call. I think its time to find another dentist...

I will not return to Refresh. I went for a standard cleaning and they performed an additional deeper cleaning beyond what my dental insurance allowed without notifying me of the charges prior to performing this procedure. Very dishonest business practices just to squeeze any extra amount of money out of you that they can. Also the office manager and front office staff is extremely RUDE. Whats interesting though is that the office manager seems to think she is a dentist since she informed me that my teeth couldnt have a standard cleaning done to them. Bananas. Stay away.

Absolute best! Needed an emergency extraction. From the sign in to the x-rays to the pull they made me feel so calm and they were so aware of my pain and jitters. Talked to me about every step. Ive been elsewhere for my dental needs but Refresh in Austintown is going to be my primary from now on.

They were able to fit me in quickly and do the procedure the same day! It was mostly a comfortable experience and the staff were all friendly and professional. Definitely recommend and will return for all dental needs 😊

It was Ok. I didnt like the fact that my husband wasnt allowed 2 come in the building with me so what they explained 2 me I had 2 try & tell him. I still have my main reason 4 my visit.

Not a great experience, extraction with broken molar.. the staff was kind unfortunately the dentist himself is WAY too hurried in his approach and extremely rough especially with pulling the tooth. Most dentists Ive been to will have techniques where even the needle is not so traumatic.. No sensitivity or concern for patient comfort. Ive said it before andshould have learned my lesson by now. Iwouldnt go back.

This was my first visit at this office. I was very nervous because I was way overdue for a checkup. I had a very thorough exam . Everyone I encountered seemed sincerely nice.

I give the nurses a 5/5, they were amazing and very helpful. I give the dentist 1/5, he removed ALL of my teeth and on my return check up I asked for more pain meds that I was originally given for the extraction because the short script ran out earlier than he said it would and Ive been in intense pain for the last few days. I have a high pain tolerance and the pain is a 8/10!! He absolutely refused to help me with my pain and then walked away while we were talking. Helpful that he pulled the teeth for the future but disgusted that he refused to help me with the pain after he removed ALL of my teeth.

They were very understanding of my fears from past experiences with other dentists, the doctor immediately addressed my problems, and what actions will be taken for a proper solution. Not only did they care about my worries and concerns but the nurse cleaning my teeth was so kind and considerate; asking if I were comfortable or not. Overall experience was great and everyone there was so kind and welcoming.

The staff and Dentist were awesome!! I do not do well with dentist at all but these guys were gentle and understanding of my situation and feelings. I recommend anyone who has anxiety about going to a dentist to go to these guys. I will definitely continue using their services.

My experience was horrible. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have hardware in my foot so I have to be on an antibiotic for a dental procedure. So at my third appt I was proscribed a real heavy dose of antibiotics so I figured they would be doing my procedure. Cleaning my teeth and doing a crown. Well that wasnt the case I took all the antibiotics and was told am to come back in almost a month later because they had to get approval from my insurance. I would have thought that would have been done at my first visit. The second visit was they havent gotten my release from my orthopedic doctor. I dont understand why I was suppose to take all the antibiotics and not have my procedure done. Oh so I have suffered from diarrhea for 2 days because of the heavy antibiotics I was prescribed. I also called and asked to talk to a manager and never received a call back.

They are kind, they treat you with respect. They are very helpful and explain what they are doing and the dentist know how to put you as easy.

Ive got a wisdom tooth pulled and was sent home without any antibiotics or anything for pain. 4 days later my jaw is swollen and painful. Ive never had a tooth pulled without being given any antibiotics or my doctors permission. Normally Im required to take antibiotics and have to be off my aspirin for a few days, ,, I asked for a summary of my visit, and when I looked on the summary, it had the wrong contact info on there. Hopefully they didnt confuse me with another patient, because it was weird that I wasnt asked for contact and medical info. That was my first time at that location

Wait time was a little slow but otherwise they did my X-rays fine. I kinda hate that you have to get those done first before they’ll set up an appointment for a cleaning but got it done. Not sure how the dentist will be since that’s all I had done today. Updated not really pleased. I had my teeth filled which was three the fillings I guess were so deep I’ve been in pain for a week now and I have an infection. I just find it funny how when I went int originally I wasn’t in any pain but was told my X-rays showed decay under fillings. I get that removed worst decision ever. I go back and they give me antibiotic which aren’t working and pain meds which aren’t working and told to come back in on Monday and then they’ll decide if I need a root canal or my teeth pulled. If I could go somewhere else to get my teeth cleaned I would. The wait time is horrible when getting my teeth filled I had an appointment at 3:00pm and I didn’t leave the office till 6:00pm. That’s a problem! I had no problems with the cleaning staff as far as that side but the dentist doesn’t even fill your teeth they send in someone else after you wait in the chair for an hour for that person to come (she was nice but and extremely long process for three teeth). Honestly I wouldn’t recommend. I’ll be calling tomorrow to see what they can do again because I can’t go another weekend with this pain that I’ve been in because of them.

The were great got me in and out fast. Everyone was nice and helped you out with everything that you needed.

Gentle dentistry at its finest! The front desk receptionist (Sheila) was very courteous and helpful at getting me in urgently, and the dental assistant (Jasmine) was also kind and courteous. Dr. Petrakos was gentle with my tooth extraction, and his humor made me comfortable. Highly recommend them for any dental needs!

I wouldnt even give them a one star! Do NOT go to this dentist office. Theyre are very rude including the dentist and very impatient. Instead of fixing my teeth they messed them up. My whole front tooth broke off and fell out of my mouth a day after seeing them.. I have had nothing but problems since seeing them and then instead of even trying to fix their mistakes they pushed me off on someone else. I would NEVER recommend them to a single soul! Absolutely traumatizing and horrible!!

Called in with an emergency, got in that same day, was calmed with laughter when i started crying like a baby because i was overwhelmed by the exhausting pain i was in, and problem was executed so comfortably all while i got counseled every step of the way. Wont know until the next visit but in the past there would be different staff every time we went. Some good, some not so good. Could never get familiar with anyone. Recently, impossible to get in touch with! IMPOSSIBLE. Dont answer the phone and never received a callback. Had to call administration to make an appointment, they even called and couldnt get thru to them. This is the Austintown Refresh. We wouldnt be going there if we didnt have to because of insurance.

I am deathly afraid of being in the dentist chair, but today’s visit, they made me feel comfortable and reassured. The dental assistant, I forgot his name ( probably cause of my fear), was very nice and friendly. Dr. Petrakos was just as comforting.

Dentist was clumsy & caused unnecessary excruciating pain during an already complicated molar extraction. The antibiotics I was prescribed prior to the appointment were not strong enough to clear the infection from my tooth. Three days after the extraction, when I was told I should be almost healed up & over the pain, I had to return to the office to be examined again & ended up having to get put on stronger antibiotics because the infection that had been in the molar that was pulled had spread to that whole side of my mouth causing me extreme pain. My most recent visit to get fitted for my bottom partial denture... after waiting over 45 minutes in the waiting room for something that only takes about the minutes to do I had to argue with the dentist! He tried telling me i wasnt biting down all the way, Im 40 years old! I know how to bite. After he finally listened to me and looked at the back left side of my mouth he realized he was doing his job wrong! Never even tried apologizing!!! Very upset with the quality of care. I will be changing to a new Dental establishment after my partial denture is complete
