My husband recently went through the entire process of receiving a new prosthetic leg from Austin Prosthetic Center. The entire staff is not only professional and friendly but also authentically care about their patients and their families. The facilities are modern and clean. My husband left from his final appointment with a sleek, cool, and very comfortable prosthetic device.

Awesome!!!I am a bilateral BK. I had multiple failed revisions on my left residual limb. Once I healed I met Ben.Ben is a kind, professional, caring knowledgeable prosthetist. Over the years I have had quite a few prosthetist, what differentiates Ben is his ability to really listen and keep an open mind. Although some of my requests were greeted with Have you lost your mind type of looks, He is still willing to entertain an option and find a way to accommodate without risking my well being or functionality. What I really appreciate is his overall attitude of we are in this TOGETHER. AS well, he has to be one of the most patient individuals I have ever met.On the whole, APC is one of the best medical providers I have ever engaged with. The front office is always pleasant, friendly and professional. Andrea is absolutely terrific. My arch nemesis, Brian the office manger, is a very caring individuals as well. He is always willing to have a conversation or figure a creative way for me to finance my prosthetics.The overall atmosphere is extremely collaborative, professional and caring. My prosthetist, Matt, had to deal withsome very difficult issues with my prosthesis and he was excellent at working for alternative ways to fix my issues. The office staff is wonderful and friendly and outstanding in their service. Austin Prosthetic Center is definitely the place to come.

In my experience, Austin Prosthetic Center 1) Worked with me to get my insurance company onboard, 2) Custom-fitted me for a state of the art prosthetic, 3) Helped me arrange OT & PT with the new prosthetic (a step often overlooked), and 4) Have helped maintain my high standards of independence and athleticism after the fact. I cant stress the rarity of finding a health care provider that you can count on for not just one or two of these points, but all four. And then some. Five stars doesnt even come close to doing them justice. Call, make the appointment, trust me on this one.

I’ve been LBKA due to trauma since 2010. Prior to my amputation I had always been ferociously physically competitive. I’ve played competitive tennis since the third grade and I’ve been a Shaolin Kung Fu instructor since my early twenties. Needless to say, it was extremely important to me to get back to my pre-amp me as best I could and as quickly as I could. I researched which prosthetist specializes in athletes. I Found out who the top three prosthetist were and went with each for several legs. I settled on Matt of Austin Prosthetic Center because throughout time I realized that making a great fit is a quality of life thing , much more than it is just a good thing. Making a great fit is also an art and a science, and Matt has nailed it every time. I still regularly ride motorcycles, mountain bikes, hike the Hill Country, lift free weights, and won a USTA sanctioned tennis tournament playing in my prosthesis rather than a wheelchair which is by far the norm for us. I attribute my ability to do what I do because of the consistently great fitting prosthesis that Matt creates. I’d crawl, if I had to, to see him for my prosthetic needs. He clearly has the touch!

I thought I left a Five-Star Review for Austin Prosthetic Center (APC) already, so this will be brief. APC is top-notch ! Andrea (Ahn-drāy’-uh) is personable and quite helpful as a 1st contact on the phone providing directions to APC [its the last, most southern building(#9) in the complex] at 1005 East St Elmo Road.Ben George, Orthotist, is skilled and patient. I recommend him highly. When I returned after 2 weeks to adjust the soles of my C.R.O.W. boots because I felt pushed back every time I stood due to differing leg lengths, he adjusted them perfectly.I will go to APC for all my prosthetic needs.

I’ve been an amputee for only 4 years. In the beginning I didn’t know what to expect or how my prosthetic was supposed to feel. I had a lot of trial and error before Austin prosthetics. I met with Matt and right away I could tell that he knew exactly what he was talking about. He gave me a lot of confidence and the entire staff was very friendly. One of the things that really stood out for me as well was that this company allowed me to test a prototype before the final product. I was able to take it home and make all necessary adjustments before the the final product. I am now loving my new leg and I can run in it and it is of a very high quality.

Matthew and the entire staff have been amazing through this potion of our journey. My 13 yr old son can into their office scared and nervous. He had just had both his legs amputated and turned 180°. He is the first person that we could find who has had a double rotaionplasty. Everyone there was so helpful, kind and caring. They have helped with every step (literally) in getting my son to stand on his new legs! Now he is a confident 14 yr old making strides with his bionic legs, pain-free! Thank you for all yall do! We are definitely clients for life!!

They’re new learners and they made one for me which was not perfect and I told them that it will be broken but they promised me that they will make it after warranty expires when it got broken then they didn’t fulfill their promise which they cheated me. It broke before warranty’s expiration but I was confident about their promise that they will make it after expiration because they behaved me like magicians. I was very busy at that time and called them up five months later of first day and two months later warranty expiration and everything happened opposite.

I couldn’t be happier with my prosthetic leg! So far, I’ve been able to do anything I want to and have had no problems at all. It’s so comfortable and the people that work here are awesome as well!

This is my first prosthetic leg. By far I had a great experience with the company on my pre and post amputation. They work closely with me and my doctors and PTs to built the best leg setup. The results are extra ordinary, I can walk farther without pain now, I can go to waterparks, play all sports with my daughter, bike, submerge on a water and the list goes on. My next goal is to hike, ski and surf. I have my life back. Real great and wonderful life.

Austin Prosthetics is a wonderful place! They have taken the best care of me! From the 1st visit from Lydia in the hospital to receiving my 2nd socket. Matt is terrific at what he does. I actually live in Oklahoma, but lost my leg in Austin and decided to stay and get my Prosthetic in Austin to get a better prosthetic. Matt and his team have been very patient and understanding I wouldnt go anywhere else. They are very experienced and a terrific team! Im so blessed to have been introduced to this team. The Crew at Austin Prosthetic Center are at the top of their field. Im on my fourth Prosthetic this one from Austin Prosthetic Center, the other three from a much larger company. I have had to get prosthetics made for multiple dynamic activities. The level of knowledge, professionalism and general care the team takes at APC has helped me continue on with not only with my sport career but also high quality of life. Awesome!!! I am a bilateral BK amputee. Over the past 10 years I have been seen by 5 different facilities. Austin Prosthetic Center has been one of the best one by far. Mike Martin is incredible!!! He is a dedicated caring personable prosthetist. His attention to detail is beyond compare. On my first visit he listened very carefully to all of my current and previous issues. He suggested several possible paths and explained the approach in simple clinical terms that I could understand. He explained to me what he believes is going on with my residual limbs and how the approach would correct my issues. It was very sensible and logical. I felt cared for and that he heard my concerns and addressed them. In the past getting a pair of prosthetic has always been a 4 month long painful process that resulted in average legs with average comfort. With Mike, however, I had my legs within 2 months with superb comfort. I wear my prosthetics every day, all day.In addition to Mikes great care, the entire staff is terrific. When it was time to laminate my sockets I met with Russ, the lab supervisor. He listen to my wants and wishes and suggested some possible ways to get it done. The result is the best looking sockets I have ever had. I love them. Not only do they feel great they look amazing as well.I would be remiss if I didnt mention Bryans, the office manager, role in this process. From the beginning he explained the daunting paperwork, billing & insurance process. He updated me every step of the way and ensured that there were no surprises after the delivery of my legs. This has been a great experience for me. I am and will be a patient for life.If you are an amputee and looking for a great inclusive care team I highly recommend this facility. They truly understand the meaning of care giving.

Lydia is amazing!!! Shes was a great amputee advocate at just the right moment for me and my BKA here in Austin. I cant thank her enough for being there when I was most curious about how my mobility future might turn out. The team here is top notch, after some bad experience my mother had in Temple Texas with another provider , these guys met with her and really took the time to make it right. Its cheesy but these guys have probably changed her life for the better. This is the standard of care we all expect and want ... yet seldom find.

Walking into Austin Prosthetics I didnt know what to expect...what I found was a loving supportive group of people. They wanted nothing but the best for me...and thats what I got. I could not be more pleased. I wont go anywhere else...this place is a great step above everything else!!!

When I move from a different Clinic I was scared but I was going to be treated the same way and when I got you Austin Prosthetics Andrea and Matthew and I dont know the other lady at the front desk well they were so heartwarming they made me feel like I was at home when Matthew ordered all my new supplies and when my new prosthesis I was so happy I could walk very well I felt like they treated me with respect and dr. Latorre my amputee doctor recommended me to Austin Prosthetics and I am so so so very very very very very please with Austin Prosthetics

I was with a different provider and I just came to know about them. Even though they were not through my insurance network, I choseb them because they offered very good deal and understand the situation. Specially patient advocate Lydia is awesome! She is so friendly I never hesitated to ask her the small silly quetions, she was always ready to answer and explain with a smile. I wish all the best to them!

Mike Martin was very cold and unconcerned about meeting my needs for a new prosthesis. He was in a hurry and only concerned about getting paid by the insurance company. I waited 9 years to see him hoping to get some insight about getting me a good fit for a leg and was so disappointed! I left feeling hurt and disturbed at this practitioners lack of compassion for his patients

APC is by far the best prosthetics practice I have seen or been to. Over the years I have been to several and have never felt so at home as I do with the APC crew. They listen to your needs and come up with a custom plan that meets your specific needs and goals to live the lifestyle you want. Other practices focus on profits, APC focuses on patients. No matter what it takes or how long it takes, when you leave you will have the ability to pursue the activities you desire.
