When I went for Ketamine therapy at AKS I wanted to specifically address several issues that have caused me to experience depression, anxiety and isolation throughout my life. This treatment requires you to take responsibility for yourself with the staff helping you navigate through the process. The staff were professional, experienced and supportive of me as I went through the treatments. The clinic only treats 2 patients at a time so that staff can monitor each patient closely to ensure that they are safe while experiencing the transformational effects that ketamine treatment offers.

I wish there were more stars to explain my experience with Dr. Foster. I am 72 years old and I distrust doctors with a passion. However, Dr. Foster is a rare find. I went through 6 treatments and every one was a truly great experience. I never had to wait and most importantly he is very responsive to anything I had to contact him about. I would not hesitate to recommend Austin Ketamine Specialists to anyone. The staff he has working with him is top notch. Oh by the way it gave me remarkable results.

The very first visit went well, I met with Dr. Foster and he explained the process. The clinician was very friendly and warm. My second appointment the clinician was busy watching sports on his phone and totally ruined my experience. I explained the situation to the PA in charge since Dr. Foster was not there and she apologized and said she would deal with it. I went home that weekend and felt so off-put that I called Dr. Foster and left him a voicemail detailing the situation and that I needed to speak with him. To this day he has never called me back. For the 3rd visit I told the PA that I would not be put back with the offending clinician and she helped me reschedule my visits so that I would not have him again. The 3rd, 4th and 5th visits went well, but after the 5th visit I ended up in the ER with AFIB. Something I have never suffered from prior. While in the hospital I again called Dr. Foster to explain the situation as well as to cancel my final appointment. That was in November and I have yet to receive a phone call regarding my 2nd visit issue or my well being after the 5th visit. This is a clinic, they get you in and out with no concern beyond that. For the price I expected much more...Update 2/2/2021 - Dr. Foster reached out to me and refunded the two sessions in question.

I’m not even sure where to begin with Dr. Foster and his clinic. I had what felt like crippling depression/anxiety/PTSD from past trauma. I came to Dr. Foster feeling nervous but hopeful about his treatment and I am so glad I went through with it! 6 sessions later and my quality of life has drastically improved. I truly feel those sessions re-wired my thinking and coupled with therapy, has helped me heal from that trauma. I chose Dr. Foster because I wanted a more personalized experience in comparison to a bigger clinic. He’s very real with you in person and honest about the process. I truly believe in the healing powers of the infusions and would recommend them to any of my friends who are open to non-traditional forms of healing for trauma. Thank you for everything!

There are not enough complimentary things I can say about Dr. Foster and Austin Ketamine Specialists. The office was accommodating with scheduling. Dr. Foster has excellent “chair side manner” and high ethical standards, If a friend or family member was asking for recommendations I would direct them to Austin Ketamine Specialists.

Doctor Foster is a great Ketamine Specialist and also very experienced ER doctor ,, He stays with his patient during process and he is the one who does the treatment (unlike some clinics that use Techs !!!)I strongly Recommend AKS,,,

The experience I had at AKS was amazing! Dr. Foster is both very compassionate and understanding as well as being extremely knowledgeable and reassuring in regards to the treatment and what I was going through. I completed the round of the initial 6 treatment sessions and noticed a dramatic change in my symptoms afterwards and continue to notice positive changes as the days go by. Due to Dr. Fosters experience in Emergency Medicine, knowledge and experience with Ketamine treatments, and his great ability to make patients feel at easy, I cant imagine having these treatments anywhere else. I highly recommend AKS to anyone looking into having Ketamine Infusion therapy.

I was in crisis when I heard about Ketamine treatments. I didnt quite know what to expect but was willing to try anything at this point. I filled out paperwork and spoke to a doctor. The process was easy but thorough. I was able to make my own appointments online which suited my schedule and gave me adequate amount of time to recover from each infusion.I met the doctor then filled out an initial survey with Sherri the nurse practitioner. The room I was taken to was quiet with an enormous TV streaming soothing videos and a recliner that was supportive. The technician started the IV with minimal pain a small blood pressure cuff was placed on my wrist to monitor my vital signs. My husband was able to set next to me during the treatment and hold my hand. I had a call bell around my neck if I needed it.Each treatment was different. I felt better after the first and by the sixth my life felt changed. This was my personal experience and I know it has to be different for each person. Austin Ketamine Specialists made me feel safe and supported during all six of my recommended treatments. I was so sad when I finished and knew I might not be back. They guided me though one of the most profound healing periods of my life.I recommend you research and ask a ton of questions about the treatment. If you decide to go with Ketamine treatment and need to come to Austin, I highly recommend Austin Ketamine Specialists and their caring and supportive staff. It was a wonderful and life changing experience for me.
