I booked an appointment in July with a nurse practitioner at the office who came highly recommended from my sister. I had to change my insurance to do so but it was worth it to me to get in with someone good. Well now it’s October and they’ve canceled 3 appointments I had scheduled and now say I have to see someone else and there isn’t any availability until January. I’m disgusted with this clinic.

HIGH COST ALERT! $10 PER MINUTE ZOOM CALL!I need to find a new primary care doctor and I called UT Health. They will NOT let you see a doctor. They say you must have a zoom call with the nurse practitioner first, then theyll schedule you to see a nurse, NOT A DOCTOR. So I spent 15 minutes on the call with a nurse, and being charged over $130 for the 15 minutes talk. Insurance will NOT pay for telemedicine. Thats what they call the zoom call. I am not sick, I have no medical concerns. The zoom call is basically chatting about your medical history which I already put on the medical form.I am being charge for over $130 now with NO labs done, NO see the doctor, NO see the nurse in person, NOTHING.

Should be immensely ashamed of how coldly it turns away even staff members in great need of even basic advice. Though it fits well with the rest of the Universitys utter disinterest in taking care of its own, let alone anyone else.

The staff was awesome and the facility is beautiful: brand new, easy to navigate (unlike most medical office buildings), and very clean. I saw Chiquita Laird and she was so nice!! They also have iPads for your paperwork which makes life so much easier (especially for a person with terrible handwriting). Lastly, they have a lab onsite which is so convenient. The blood draw I got was probably the least painful Ive ever experienced!

Dr Ring is as phony as they get. Was hesitant to do a xray, claimed with asprin and 6 weeks time my broken hand would be back to normal, it took a year to heal and he apoligized for not bringing up surgery as an option and then apologized for not being a good communicator. This guy should be ashamed of himself for claiming he cares about your well being and UT Health Austin should be ashamed for employing a quack like him. He is as bogus as they get. What a joke of a Dr.

The woman I spoke with on the phone a few months ago scheduled my appointment on a weekend. They are CLOSED on weekends. This appointment is the last one I need to get my wrist surgery and I’ve been waiting months for this appointment. It’s frustrating that she made a careless mistake and this is taking a toll on my life. I haven’t been able to work due to my wrist pain so I was looking forward to this appointment so I could be closer to working again. Now I have to wait a few more months AGAIN. This is ridiculous.

Excellent organization of volunteers & staff. Fast, friendly and well-organized COVID vaccination location. They do keep a watchful eye afterwards to ensure you’re not having side-effects, promote technology for after-checks/ follow-up & 2nd vaccination reminders plus super efficient! Guess its automatic assumption when you come here that you have hours to sit and wait to see the doctor. Their favorite excuse is theyre always behind. Theyre terrible at keeping up on medication refills. Hardly can ever get through for an appointment or speak to a nurse when you have a problem.

I came here for pain management. I specifically requested an MRI due to neck pain & possible spinal injury. They refused, prescribed me Gabapentin, gave me some stretches, did some chiropractic popping, and gave me a therapist for mindfulness for chronic pain. It was honestly horrifying. Here I was, trying to get treated, and I wasn’t being believed or cared for in a meaningful way.Years later, I am still in pain. I go to an actual physiatrist (NOT at this location), get referred to get an MRI done, and I have bulging discs and cervical lordosis.. I’m on anti-inflammatories now. I have had trigger points injections done to help relieve pain. That is treatment. I have tapered off the Gabapentin. I may need further injections and physical therapy. If the people at this clinic had just listened to me and believed me, I could have been receiving treatment years ago.Find somewhere else more reputable and genuine.

Incompetent billing and administrative staff, constantly changing their words and patients are ultimately paying the price. I am told from billing staff that they are NOT responsible for any miscommunication from UT Health and I need to always verify with my health insurance provider. Total unwillingness to honor their statements.Such a shame that they have a state of the art facility and fantastic medical staff yet the pain of having to deal with billing and admin for the following few months EVERY TIME I visit them is worth staying away. Ive had them for my primary care for the past two years and got burned enough times to say its time to switch.

After having had 3 hip surgeries fail (primarily due to recurring infections) during the previous 2 years while under the care of other MDs and hospitals, my wife and I can definitely say that matters changed hugely towards the positive while under the care of Drs. Kevin Bozik and Alex Rothy of UT Health - Austin. The whole process (including underlying educating of us for surgery) was excellent. My wifes prior surgeon had advised us that there was nothing else he could do for us except remove her hip entirely and leave her in a wheel chair for the rest of her life. Our response was THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! We subsequently met with Dr. Bozik and he told us that UT Health was in business to handle the more challenging cases. He readily took us on and guided us thru & performed surgery that came out perfectly - all while the Covid-19 pandemic was raging around us. We cannot say enough great things about Drs. Bozek and Rothy and recommend him (them) to anyone fortunate enough to be able to use his (their) skilled services. 5 stars easily given for the services and competentcy received!

For regular sick visit they charged insurance as specialty. There is nothing to do with specialty. Similar walk-in care charging regular copay, but this one they submitting claims as specialty visit. End up paying twice co pay. So I won’t recommend anyone instead you can walk in to ADC or walk-in clinic inside HEB.

This Office seems shady to me. This UT Health Austin Pain Management Clinic claims it was waiting for a medical records that the Company whom handles those Medical Records sent me an e-mail stating UT Health had downloaded those records of a certain day (given to me) and that UT Health has those records. And, also strange I never saw ANYONE at this UT Health Office and they called me about a Physician I saw YEARS ago and wanted those records and I have NEVER been told how they even know of me seeing that Physician. I do NOT sign things and send back in mailings when I have never seen anyone and know what is going on, as UT Health tried to get me to do. Seems I was NOT wanted at that UT Health Clinic and was disrespected by being called Mam when I am a Sir! UT Health Rep answering the phone was rude and unfriendly towards me, and NEVER met me. And I was referred to them by my Primary UT Physician Doctor (WHOM IS WONDERFUL and well as ALL at this (my Primarys) Office Clinic.

I am very concerned about how they contact their patients with important test result information and how they time manage doing so. I recieved a slightly invasive examination that I was immensely stressed about and was told I would recieve a call the next day by noon with my test results (I guess to put me at ease), not only did I NOT receive my test results the next day like I was told I would.. I waited over 72 hours for my test results, and guess what, my test results were not even given to me over the phone they were posted in my patient portal with little to no explanation. They did not even state if I was infact diagnosed with what they were testing me for during the examination I recieved. When I called to ask about why I was not contacted and what I was diagnosed with, I was told Id have to wait for a provider to call me back instead of immediately getting me in contact with my provider knowing I was upset and concerned. I am more than dissatisfied with this provider. I feel like I have just been looked passed while being in pain because its easier to look the other way when you cant be seen in the office but only contact over the phone/ patient portal.

The receptionist had people and phone calls constantly, yet she somehow made you feel you were the only one. I saw her sit down and assist a woman who was having trouble filling out her necessary paperwork on the tablet. This is the best experience I’ve ever had with a Dr. office.

I highly recommend Dr Buckley. I’m only one week post linx and HH repair so it is too soon for me to comment on the surgery success (recovery has been a bit difficult-none of which was Dr Buckley’s “fault”). This review though is about how professional, personal and caring Dr Buckley is. I had anxiety about surgery and almost cancelled. He talked to me over the phone twice the week before surgery to alleviate fears and further explain to me what would be done. He called this week personally about some bowel issues I’ve been dealing with and spent 15min on the phone. He cares. I’m a nurse and worked with surgeons for years in the hospital and I can tell you-this is not a typical surgeon. He will look you in the eyes and treat you like a person. He listens to you. I cannot recommend him enough to my friends, family and patients now. (His office staff is also Awesome, love Lisa!)

Dr. Lanza is very knowledgeable about PMDD and evidence based treatments. The office is comfortable and she has a warm demeanor. She referred me to a psychologist (who I practice CBT therapy with) and a gynecologist (who recommended Lupron and eventual oophorectomy) in the same practice. They communicate regularly. Having a treatment team for complex issues such as PMDD is always best!Like many with PMDD I had visited many doctors and clinics only to feel dismissed and invalidated. Dr. Lanza and UT Health changed all that. She understands PMDD and wants to help. She took the time to listen to my anxious teary story and asked all the right questions. Made me feel more comfortable with myself. Referred me to other treatment providers in the same building. I never feel rushed by her or the office.

My first visit to the UT Health center was terrible. First, they did not provide any instructions on where to go for what type of appointment so I wandered around for a while. No signage on doors or elevators to help you navigate. While wandering and wasting time I’m astutely aware that it’s $3 for every 30 mins to park. Once I finally find my floor, there is no new patient intake so I pay my fee and am told to sit. I wait 30 minutes and no one has acknowledged that they are running late so I decide to ask. According to the front desk, the doctor would be another 30 minutes which would bring my total wait time to an hour. They don’t offer to reschedule or to comp my parking fee, nothing, not even an apology. So I ask to come back another time. When leaving, my ticket gets jammed on the ticket meter and I have to wait again for someone to come and fix it before I can exit. This review does not provide insight to the actual services provide as I never saw a doctor and I hesitate to go back. I certainly understand and that things run behind and people can get off schedule but to not acknowledge that tardiness and ask someone to wait an hour is absurd. I wish they had One Medical in Austin, I miss that part of San Francisco.

I really wanted to like this clinic, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. I set an appointment for continuity of treatment. I was referred by a family friend who has had positive experiences thus far. Scheduling was a concern but I was able to ve squeezed in with a NP. I asked for a physican originally but I figured I was coming as an er followup so it shouldnt be too difficult.Checking in was easy, and so was the paperwork that was completed on an iPad. The NP I saw, Kristin seemed friendly enough at first. I came in with lab results and copious notes. I have multiple health concerns all equally important but some more urgent than the rest. I explained I had seen a doctor for over a year and now with the relationship over, I was in need of medicatio refills. I was wanting to make sure I was taking the correct dosage(s) and my last physcian tended to call things in incorrectly ( one of the many reasons her practice wasnt a good fit).I explained that i was taking a beta blocker that needed to be refilled. I also explained that I was taking a controlled substance, Norco and was afraid that I would experience unintentional health concerns if I abruptly stopped. I explained that I didnt have insurance and as a result i have been to the emergency room very frequently. Up until last year, Id go frequently for my migraine, kidney stones and infections. Because I was getting such fragmented care, it took a while to find a clinical reason for my multitude of symptoms. Beforehand I was told it was my migraine or just a kidney infection and prescribed antibiotics and ultram or tylenol 3. I understood and understand that because of that i have multiple providers on my report which is why I was once again trying to ensure i had one doctor following me.( Instead of running a 12 month report like most physicians, Kristin went back nearly 3 years.) Because of my concerns and my acknowledgement that medication only marked my symptoms and it was vital to find underlying conditions, I asked if they could help me taper off of the the medication(Norco). They told me they would not help me do that. I was scared and disappointed but I asked for a pain management, endocrinology, neurology, and urology referrals in hopes of getting in quickly.Thats when the phone calls started. I called multiple times and eventually got my mom involves to try to help me. Despite my having kidney stones, and despite having a thyroid so hyperactive I went into thyroid storm last year, I was told I couldnt be seen until December.I practically begged these people to get me in sooner. Instead they sent me in circles and requested reports I simply did not have nor did I have access to readily. As previously mentioned since i didnt have insurance most of my issues were discovered and partially resolved in the ER or reports I received from hospitlizations.I did get a call today asking if I wanted to see Teresa Coates. I found out that she was the doctor that the NP, Kristin was reporting to so it seemed to me to be redundant to schedule with someone who has already shown me that my concerns arent a priority. I told them Im anxious, Im depressed, Im worried, Im scared of having unfavorable symptoms from abruptly stopped an opiod and it meant very little to them. I understand they need records but there was no real attempt at helping in the interim with management of my symptoms for my hyperactive thyroid. This group seems like a bunch of young inexperienced interns. They consistently mislead me and passed the buck instead of trying to find real time solutions. I have a multitude of issues and a lot of outside stress ( one being my mothers invasive ductal carcinoma). I told them I literally cant handle all of this stress and it was only agreivating my symptoms. They didnt care. They told me to go back to the ER, which they use against you these days. I will not be returning.UPDATE** After declining a followup I was sent a termination letter. Ive seen one NPC and never established care with a physican. STAY AWAY!

I recently had knee replacement and the UT Health Austin orthopedics clinic did a wonderful job. I highly recommend it if you need to have knee surgery. For many years I worked for one of the major hospital systems in Austin, and in that role was lucky to meet lots of surgeons.....including many orthopedic surgeons. The good news is that we have in Central Texas several really, really good orthopedic surgeons. The EVEN BETTER NEWS is that there is a relatively new doc in town who is also a great orthopedic surgeon - Dr. Karl Koenig. Before my surgery I asked around about Dr. Koenig with other doctors and nurses. They all said the same thing - a great surgeon with an obsessive attention to detail. I found that to be very true. But what really struck me was not just his attention to detail, but his really intense attention to my concerns, and my post-operative goals. He patiently answered all my questions, and even more than that, he probed to see if I had concerns or questions that I wasn’t talking about. I really felt like he truly cared about not only the surgery, but also my recovery and my well being.Knee replacement is a tough surgery....make no mistake about it. But during some of the toughest times during those first couple of weeks after surgery, Dr. Koenig would check on me himself, and have good advice and encouragement that helped me get through the tough times. In addition to Dr. Koenig, the entire orthopedic service operation at UT Health Austin is excellent. The clinic is efficient. Everyone - from the folks at the front desk to the nurses and the x-ray technicians - are attentive, supportive, nice and pay attention to your needs. You feel like you are part of a “system” that is built to take great care of you. Also, the new Dell Seton Medical Center at UT Austin is an incredible hospital. Cutting edge technology, gorgeous rooms, great nursing care and good food.I know that Dr. Kevin Bozic is the “big shot” surgeon that the Dell Medical School recruited to Austin from San Francisco, and he is truly a great surgeon and a wonderful new asset for Austin. I believe the orthopedic clinic which he runs is the result of his grand vision. And like I said, Austin has a number of really great orthopedic surgeons. I think we should add Dr. Koenig to that list.

MSK Institute EXCELLENT: I had a total hip replacement: From the beginning, I was met by smiling knowledgeable staff. I made myself comfortable in the exam room where medical staff came to me instead of moving from room to room or to different addresses in Austin. It was easy to get appointments that were offered the same week or the next week. Dr Karl Koenig the orthopedic surgeon emphasized that I am part of this team that is created for me to take an active part in my health care. I felt like the care is patient centered. Of note, Dr Koenig always responded to my messages through patient portal. I sent a lot of questions. He always responded with answers that helped me same day or next day. That type of access to one’s physician is incredible and really decreased my anxiety. I had a spinal for a total hip replacement. It was great!! Hospital staff were superb. Dr Koenig always answered my questions. The surgery began at 9 am and I walked with a walker out of the Dell Seton Medical Center to go home at 5pm SAME DAY! Dr Koenig did an amazing job. Before surgery I had left hip pain referred to my leg that was on pain scale 1-10 a 12. After surgery that pain is resolved. I have some expected post op pain that is quite manageable. My hip pain is gone. I ambulate well with walker. I am amazed.…absolutely amazed how well I feel. The hip replacement surgery process was smooth and quick. For joint problems and especially hip osteoarthritis I absolutely recommend the Dell Seton UT Medical School MUSCULOSKELETAL INSTITUTE and Dr Karl Koenig and the team working with him. Thank you for excellent expert professional friendly and personalized care. A big HURRAH for all of you!

The building is futuristic with perfect detail given to the design of the clinic. The providers are all smart and friendly. Clinical staff are helpful and wonderful to work with. I shopped around to St. Davids, MedSpring and Concentra and found UT Health to be the most comprehensive and valuable OHS provider. It is a major plus that they accept most insurance as well as workers comp for urgent care needs.
