The tech I had was outstanding! He has been at Eye Physicians for a while, and so is familiar with both the patients and the processes needed to diagnose the current eyesight condition. Dr. Pierce took the time to explain my current eyesight situation and answer questions I had. The day of my appointment, everything was super timely, and I was in and out in a short period of time. Thumbs up on a good visit.

Dr. K. Randy Piece has been my eye physician for over a decade. He is patient, kind, and excellent at what he does. Both I and my husband have had cataract surgeries in both eyes and our sight is amazing!! If you want the best choose him!

My mother is a senior citizen who is losing her sight, Due to cataracts in her left eye. She had a cornea transplant many years ago. We were called to schedule the surgery. Then called and told that the doctor that we scheduled it was not in network. Then advised to make an appointment with 1 of two of them that was in network 🙄. This is 2 months into the process. Just to wait 2 hours to be told that the Dr. Did not feel comfortable 😕 preforming the surgery and to find someone else. What does that even mean?? If you are not skilled enough, just say that. Dr faruqi is the only physician I would trust at this facility. Kind and confident. My mother is a retired nurse technician who spent her life supporting Doctors. This surgery is time sensitive. Be careful who you choose here.

The service is great; people are knowledgeable and the equipment is state of the art and so are the physicians. Lovely office setting; made to feel comfortable during very short wait times. Highly recommend EPA.

Based on Dr. Google, I thought I might have a retina tear, so I was quickly accommodated with a visit. The doctor was quick to reassure me that my retina was in good shape, and that my issues were -- unfortunately -- a common problem due to aging. I had a thorough examination and received instructions on what to do if I actually DID have a retinal tear. It was very nice to have fears allayed and to receive a plan for going forward into my golden years (may THAT happen quickly).

Check in staff was friendly. Waited for just a few minutes until I was called back for the first part of my visit. Switched to different staff for different tests, all were professional and friendly. The whole process took a while, but had only short waits between tests. Dr. Plunkett was extremely informative. The expertise, professionalism, and kindness exemplified by this team is exceptional. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. Dr. Plunkett and his team take the time to perform thorough comprehensive exams and explain their findings thoroughly and clearly.

Dr. Khan-Farooqi is caring and knowledgeable. I was so appreciative that he was able to see me, when his schedule was full. The treatment that he recommended helped and I was so relieved. The clinical staff was amazing as well. They are kind and checked if I was ok while waiting for my appointment. They excel at patient care. I feel very blessed to be a patient there.

I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes in the period of three weeks. Dr Pierce and staff are fantastic. That are caring, thorough, and professional. They could not have made the process easier. On both surgeries I was in and out in approximately two hours. Easy peasy. I can HIGHLY recommend this team!!!

The organization is wretched. I have been a patient for nearly 30 years and they make me feel like I am a product of a factory. The receiving desk is worst of all. Cold! Untrusting. Contemptuous. The doctors are only slightly better, with human sensibility, though at least one of them, is highly competent. I really appreciate the contact lens guy. Recommendation to new patients: go elsewhere.

I’ve been going here for years and despite growing to be a big eye center, they always get me in right on time - even early if I arrive early. The people who work there are without fail polite and professional. Dr. Plunkett takes his time and explains things well. If you want to feel well cared for, this is your place.

Dr. Wollan is an exceptional doctor. He did my cataract surgery and I am very pleased with the results. But even before the cataract treatment, I always felt in the best hands there. He is super knowledgeable, friendly, has a great sense of humor and is super accessible: He made his private phone number available in case I needed him after surgery. As a whole, the entire office is very professional, efficient, friendly. Great communication. I would definitely recommend EPA. There is no other place I will ever go to.

Dr. Rigg was unfocused and distracted. He didnt read the thorough history his assistant obtained. I dont think he even made eye contact with me. Both his assistants and the young man who checked my vision, on the other hand, were attentive, thorough and caring.

The contact lens person was most helpful. He was very customer friendly in that he seemed to be making recommendations that would best use my husbands insurance and decrease out of pocket costs. The issue of coming in was to assess the left contact as he has used a 12 month supply in 8 months and had no back up lens until Sept 1. He suggested an early Sept appointment when his insurance renews and then to order so he would benefit from rebates and a $50 reward for staying with the company. He provided one extra lens to see us through until Sept 1 when he can be assessed and then order the lenss for the upcoming year. We were pleased with the appointment and OK with having driven from Round Rock for appointment. The person who made the Aug appointment no longer works at EPA and if I were rating her, I would say a 4, but the man we dealt with recently definitely gets 5 stars! And the trip in from Round Rock was not for naught as it gave us an excuse to head to lunch at Amayas!

Dr. Pierce and his team are great. All are very courteous, patient, friendly, and professional. Each medical team member that works with me answer all of my questions unless it is something the doctor has to go over with me. Yeah!!!

Complete eye services were provided on time and high quality. Dr. Dai is very thorough and knowledgeable about special eye needs involving cornea transplants and keratoconus. Special recognition to Jason in the contact lens area. He is very competent in managing problems arising from astigmatism therefore delivering high quality vision with my contact lens.

I had noticed some recent changes in my vision and luckily Dr. Ryg was able to see me ahead of my scheduled appointment in January.He noticed a tiny tear in my retina and recommended that I see a specialist as soon as possible. EPA made the appointment for me and I was able to see the specialist the same day. The retina specialist comment was good catch - Dr. Ryg saved your vision I am very happy that Dr. Ryg saw the tear and recommended the fast action.

As a Deaf Person, I appreciate the interpreting service provided by VRI for me. I had difficulty to grasp with one or two vision while I was looking at the letters while an assistant kept changing the letters at the same time I was trying to understand what is expected of me Otherwise it was good overall

Dr Wollan is an excellent physician. He takes good care of us - I am at risk for glaucoma and have now had 2 laser procedures to control pressure. My husband has a macular degeneration risk and he too is well looked after.

I had a very positive experience with EPA. Check in was efficient. I waited about 10 minutes which I find acceptable. The technician was thorough and friendly during the first part - checking my vision and updating it. Dr. Plunkett came in very soon after that and completed my full physical eye exam. He watches a spot on my retina (a druzen) which luckily hadnt changed but he did share I now have beginning cataracts. Dr. Plunket is professional, friendly, and treats me respectfully. He will answer any questions you have thoroughly, but is efficient as he has many patients.

This is the premier ophthalmology practice in Austin. My eyes have been in their care since 1967, through nearsightedness, contact lenses, cataracts, a devastating eye injury, a detached retina, dry eye problems, a spherical contact lens for the injured eye, and lately, glaucoma. I am still going strong, thanks to these great doctors and their excellent staff.

She told me about Dr. Dai who was a specialist on Cataract Surgery so I call an made an appointment and everyone there treated me with very much respect and they were making sure that I got the treatment that they would expect for them self. Dr. Dai is the best doctor I had ever met. He took care of me with both of my eyes. I would recommend this place to whomever is having issues with their eyes.

We as a family have been going to Dr Plunkett for years. He is one of the best opthalmologist in Austin - kind, well spoken, makes a lot of time for explaining everything without ever seeming in a hurry or losing patience. The staff is also fantastic - everyone from the people making appiontments, front-desk staff to the medical staff - well mannered, good at what they do and in general always making you feel welcomed and comfortable.

Phenomenal experience with both cataract surgeries.

If you value your vision do not visit this practice. I had an appointment with Dr. Khan-Farooqi. Prior to meeting with the doctor I had my eyes measured and my prescription was validated. The eye technician dropped one of my contact containers in the trash, reached into the trash to recover the container, and went to dilate my eyes without considering washing her hands. The doctor recommended me to a specialist for blepharospasm. I left with a prescription and some sample lenses. Trusting the prescription I was given was the same as I prior I put the contacts in and went for a drive. I thought there was something wrong with my eyes because I could barely see anything. I immediately called Eye Physicians of Austin in a rage and it turned out the eye technician miscalculated my prescription. I then spoke with the head of the contacts department WHO ALSO MISCALCULATED AND GAVE ME THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION. Also, the specialist he recommended me to charged for parking, misspelled my name to try to bill around my insurance , and worst of all did not help me whatsoever. If you care about seeing do not visit this practice. If you need LASIK you sure as hell should not have it done here. These clowns cannot even get a contact lens prescription right, the last thing they should be doing is making permanent changes to your eyes. This practice needs to be investigated.

This was by far one of the worst experiences Ive ever had trying to get an eye exam. I called and scheduled an appointment, was told to bring my insurance card and an I.D.I get there and no one can tell me if they take my insurance, no one can look anything up. Lauren or Laura? literally tells me she cant check anything. I filled out paper work for no reason, waited until past my appointment time and didnt get my eye exam because no one on the staff could help me do anything to look anything up. Never in my life have I had this experience at any eye doctor. What do the people at the front desk do if they cant look up or verify anything when Im literally presenting the documentation for my insurance.I walked into a wal-mart eye doctor and they looked up my insurance in 3 seconds flat and let me walk in and I was out the door in 30 minutes.I would really love an explanation as to why anyone at the front desk couldnt help me do anything. I was literally told that I had to call a 1800 number to see if your office accepted my insurance. I will never return to this office.

I was quite happy with the Covid-19 precautions. The waiting room was fairly empty and people sat far apart with masks. The technicians and the doctor (Peter Wollan) were all very friendly (and masked) and explained quite thoroughly what was going on. I thought they were more than competent and very professional and affable. I enjoyed the visit. The receptionist at the front desk was very helpful and forthcoming about how insurance works (or doesnt work) with my Medicare Advantage program.

Dr. Plunkett takes the time needed to listen to concerns. I never feel rushed.

I received a timely return call by someone who solved my problem before she called.

I just love this place! It is very clean, calm, and quiet. Parking is free and there is always plenty of it. I was initially referred by my PCP because I had a piece of glass in my eye, but have started going annually for my routine eye exam.Dr. Ryg is the physician I see, and he is so kind, as are all of the various staff, nurses, and techs. Everyone takes time to do a thorough exam, explain the process, and to be reassuring. My results are always explained to me thoughtfully with allowances for light banter and any follow-up questions. Seems odd, but I do look forward to this visit each year!

Ive been going to EPA since I was little bitty, I think 2nd grade was when I got my first pair of glasses. Ive worked with different doctors there, but they all take good care of you and keep you seeing clearly. I especially appreciate how theyve kept up with the latest technology and can get you in and out quickly with a new prescription or treatment for any eye condition.
