The whole experience from front desk check-in to teeth cleaning, doc visit, plus the lovely ladies who me back to the front and the ones who check out are soooo friendly. I’ve had 1 other dentist my entire life and switch to Starlight when I moved to Austin and would highly recommend to everybody! Each room is decorated in a different theme and has windows with peaceful views of the woods, a water feature when it rains, bird feeders and beautiful outdoor decorations. I never thought I’d enjoy my cleanings so much! Thank you to all who make it a great experience every time.

This was my first experience having my teeth cleaned at Starlight. The dental hygienist was gentle and very caring not just about my dental health but about me as well. It was a great experience. I was relaxed the entire time. The fact that the hygienist loves working at Starlight speaks volumes about the practice. Professionalism and genuine caring are a rare combination to find. I highly recommend Starlight!

I’ve thought a long time about whether I should post this. Let me say, I highly recommend Starlight Dental for regular dentistry and even orthodontics. I went to them for many years for regular cleaning, retainer tightening. However, I then had lateral veneers (just two veneers) put on by them. The temporary veneers actually looked great and one of the two permanent veneers looks great. However the second one was originally shaped wrong (the bottom was slanted weird). The doctor was upset with me for pointing this out and wanting it redone but begrudgingly agreed to redo it. They redid it but it is still too short. They seemed like they just wanted to get me out of there. They originally sold me on the veneers by saying they make sure I love it and make sure it matches my other teeth exactly and if it didn’t match the other teeth, they’d whiten it to match.. what really solidified my lack of recommending this place is when I messaged them that the new veneer didn’t match the color of my teeth (I had given up getting them to make it long enough) and they emailed back “did you try teeth whitener?”. I never responded after that and am having the too short veneer redone by a dental office with more experience and expertise in porcelain veneers. An expensive lesson to learn. Like I said, I really like this place for regular dentistry but felt like it was my duty to give an honest review of my experience here with cosmetic dentistry/ veneers.

This place is so good! My dental hygienist, Madeline, was so great! She was very personable, made me feel comfortable and was very gentle during the cleaning and X-rays. I like how they communicate briefly what they are about to do and what it might feel like throughout the proceeds. The dentist who came in after the cleaning was super friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve always had good experiences here. The front desk people are friendly as well and they were very patient and helpful when I was having insurance confusion last year. 10/10 great place to go!

I have been a patient at Starlight for at least ten years. I adore Dr. Bob, Dr. Kip and Dr. Cody The front staff is top notch ( which is a rarity these days) and always look forward to speaking with Kris during my check out.The attention to detail from the dentists and hygienists is amazing! I really feel I’m always informed as to the current status of my dental health.

It’s taken our family years to finally find a dentist we like and trust! This was an overall wonderful experience. The office staff, hygienist and doctor were great! Very kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The office was clean, comfortable and organized. Can’t get any better! Dr. Kip was great with my daughter! He explained what was in her scans and gave us options for timing of wisdom teeth removal along with his recommendation. He was actually recommending we wait another year vs. being pushy as you see with many dental practices these days.

Starlight has taken the time to learn about me on a more personal level before treatment even began in 2009. Dr Ferguson is the best and will always forever be just that. I feel comfortable here. Chris with billing is awesome. She makes billing and payment a breeze. Whenever I call with an issue they can get me right in and take good care of of me. They follow up and are into all the latest technology. The environment is always clean and refreshing and all the staff is so welcoming. Most importantly, my dentist office has a set of twins. The dental assistants are even better. Who can say that? I can. I love Starlight and my teeth and I will be a patient for life.

Everybody here was really great. The office is pleasant and calm, which perfectly matches the demeanors of the employees. If you have one ounce of dental anxiety, this is where you need to come. They are gentle, positive, and speak with you... and not at you. Finally, they let you wear sunglasses for the overhead lights, but I like to believe they were disappearing glasses for anxiety. I put them on and kind of melted into the chair... then my visit was over. Im very glad I was referred here and that I decided to come.

StarLight Dental treats you like family! I’ve been going there for years. I recently had an emergency and they helped me same day like they would have their own family member. Ive been going here a couple of years now and it has everything I want in a Dental care visit. They dont pressure you into expensive unnecessary procedures and they genuinely care about their patients.My filling broke on Thursday and I called them at 3pm and they were able to get it looked at first thing the next morning. It wasnt too bad but definitely needed repair. Next my appointment to fix it was first thing Monday morning. Dr Kip fixed my filling and exposed dentin today and did a superb job. He really took the time to make sure my bite was comfortable before finishing. The front desk staff and hygienists are all very nice too.

Friendly staff! We Moved from out of state when my son was in the middle of orthodontic treatment. They sat us down and gave us their approach to finishing up his treatment. They caught mistakes made by previous ortho and their pricing was fair. Dr. Ferguson always takes the time to explain where we are at in treatment at each appointment.As for dental, I have been seen, had cleanings and a filling repaired. Great experience. Great communication with the dentist. Friendly staff.

Great experience for new patient, I called to schedule and they took me the same day. Check in process was fast and easy, very friendly staff and no one in the waiting room!The Dental Hygienist did great, offering me two methods for cleaning. X-rays were right in the same room, super easy process. Dr. Kip was so nice and personable, quick visit but thorough in a very cute library themed room.

A beautiful office and the staff is very nice. My kids have been going to this location for about ten years. But, in December, the dentist called to cancel my kids 4:00 appointments two weeks beforehand because he was reducing his extended hours. These had been scheduled 6 months prior at our last visit. The options for rescheduling were slim and not convenient. Seems like our appts could be honored and then hours could be changed going forward. Needless to say, we will not be returning. He lost 4 customers due this.

I am a relatively new patient at StarLight and am so very pleased to have made such a positive change. Dr. Kip replaced a crown for me and he was so kind and thoughtful about how I was feeling throughout the whole process. He also replaced my crown that was not properly made with a real crown that is very solid. Everyone in the office is uplifting which creates a very positive vibe.

I can honestly say it begins and ends with Savannah! Her energy is just so unmatched! Dr. Kip’s Dental Assistant (Male) was also very kind, patient, and professional. I had an amazing experience with Andrea (Dental Hygienist)! Her hand was so steady, she talks with you, she’s thorough, and I didn’t feel like she rushed! I brought my son in a week ago and I felt like the Dental Hygienist rushed his cleaning, granted all the teeth will fall out, but she didn’t ask me any questions or talk with us about his oral hygiene. We were in and out and that made me a bit skeptical about returning for myself, however Savannah and Andrea sealed the deal. I would definitely recommend this office. It’s super cute inside and I loved the room with the Texas feel. Go see Dr. Kip and Andrea you won’t regret it!

Excellent! Dr. Cody and Marico were great! Very courteous front desk staff as well. Dr. Cody made sure that I was comfortable with everything the whole way. I needed a large filling removed and a crown on that tooth and three small cavities filled. Excellent work. He also fixed a tooth area that was super-sensitive from an extraction that I had done elsewhere. Very pleased with everything! I am much more comfortable with going to the dentist now. Grateful for a dentist that can thoroughly explain what is going on. That puts me at ease!

Dentists have this stigma unfortunately and it keeps people away (like myself) because of traumatic experiences we had as children.Well fast forward to my first dentist appointment as an adult and boy was it WAY better than expected. This dentistry office is amazing. Beautiful office and great people. They provide state of the art dentistry and had my replacement crown completed in a couple of hours where in the past other dentists took 2-3 weeks, sometimes longer, to have permanent crown ready. I am totally sold on this place and will go there again. Highly recommend!

It was difficult to get information and communication from the dentist about services and charges and could not get a plan for services. Office people were not that helpful. Not so sure about all those perfect flattering reviews.

Family has been going to this dental practice for over 25 years and would not consider going anywhere else. Dr. Bob, Dr. Kip, Dr. Cody, and Chris are a fantastic team where the customer comes first. My last visit, they squeezed me in after I lost a filling and the tooth had extreme temperature sensitivity.

Incredible office, great decor, very relaxing environment with super friendly staff. Id highly recommend this place. I only had a cleaning done, but I would definitely go back for other services. The dentist Nielson (Kips brother? ) answered all my questions and was very attentive at the end of my visit. The dental hygienist Nicole was extremely polite and explained everything to me.

I genuinely like my dentist, Cody. He makes me comfortable in a dentist chair which is hard to do. I had a porcelain partial installed. They took a 3-d scan and cut it in the office. No waiting. They take advantage of technology, which is awesome.

I have recommended Starlight Dental to several friends and family members who were looking for a new dentist and/ or orthodontist and they always wind up saying the same thing I do - these people are awesome. Not only are they great at what they do, they are also great at making you comfortable while they do it. With many children (and 2 of them in braces) we spend a fair amt of time there ;). Our appts are always on time, my kids don’t complain abt going (my 12 yr old actually said he LIKED going!), everyone there is always so nice and helpful, and the dental and ortho work has more than exceeded my expectations. I won’t go anywhere else.

I plan to go here as long as I live in Austin. They never push unnecessary work, they are on top of it, and my kids love going here!

After going to another dentist and being told I had 9 cavities (where I have only had 3 total in my life), I knew I had to get a second opinion. I went to StarLight Dental and met with Dr Kip Nielson to see what his thoughts were. After looking at everything he determined that I actually do not have any cavities that need filled, just some areas we need to watch.I trust Dr Kip Nielson and StarLight Dental to be honest and conservative in their recommendation of dental treatment. They have saved me the time, cost and pain of having cavities filled.The office staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The office is clean, well organized and inviting. So glad to have found such an amazing dental office!

Availability and communication were major issues at this office. Office staff was rude and very dismissive when I needed to reschedule an appointment. Dr. Ferguson could not provide clear communication for a simple dental plan.
