Clinisha BLEW MY MIND with how friendly, professional, and all around amazing she was. She helped me open up 2 new accounts and link another account, and was really quick and friendly the entire time. She even went the extra mile to tell me they can transfer over my credit card balance and pay through them with almost half my current interest rate. Im SO happy I decided to bank here!

Customer for almost 6 years now. Great experience so far. I find the staff friendly and the financial transactions quick. Of course, it is not a bank, so if you expect the services of a giant financial institution you should look elsewhere.I will also add that as an international student, they made my life easy.

Great location in the heart of Central Austin. There is a smaller drive through but they make up for that with 7 or 8 indoor teller stations. The service is mostly fast and they offer coffee and other beverages during your wait. In addition they also have safety deposit boxes if you need.

SLOW. Every time Ive come to this location its taken me at least 15 min to be seen regardless of the amount of people here. Ive been sitting here for an aeon now and there are at least two employees sitting at their desks not helping anyone. In all fairness the staff is very pleasant but Im getting old waiting here.

I had a UFCU account just because they were giving them out at the beginning of the school year, when I made my return to Austin. Then in May I found out they could nearly cut my interest rate in half on my auto loan. I was 21. They are amazing. The folks at this branch have been nothing but amazing. Drive through takes a little long but it is always worth it!

This bank is awful, I have been a customer for over 7 years now and I have always been treated poorly by this branch. Beware of this bank they are nothing but scammers, I have closed my account with them for good. Good job guys!

The Atm at this location took my card and didnt give it back... their system froze in the middle of my transaction , I called customer service after hours all they could do was disactivate my card and now I have no cash or a debit card. Mind you I have to return back in the morning miss work to get a replacement which is very INCONVENIENT.

Closing my account. Bank did not take a proactive approach to problems with external recurring charges. The lady helping me charged my other bank with a CASH ADVANCE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.I asked her if I would be charged a fee, SHE SAID SHE DIDNT KNOW and shrugged off the question. Not helpful at all. Was told that my account wasnt technically closed until I received something in the mail?? Even though I went there in person??This whole process took FOREVER- much longer than it should have. I even thought the girl had run away with my card!

DO NOT INVEST IN STOCKS. DO NOT GET THIS BANK. Please make sure you do your research and know all the ins and outs of stocks. If there is a language barrier they will take advantage of you! Matt bacon is only interestedb in his bonuses and commissions he recieves. He and Guadalupe Moreno took advantage of my mother and her inability of comprehending the english language. She wanted to invest her money and she, not fully understanding english trusted Guadalupes translation. He insisted that her money would NOT fluctuate if she invested in the US Treasury stock. He said and i quote! you have nothing to worry about your 90k will always be there for you to withdraw at anytime. Long story she lost 1k within the first quarter and when she came to the bank, heads were ducked. She withdrew everything she had left and Matt tried to convince her once again to leave her money there! No concern, no empathy. A lifes savings and this is how they serve you!? This is disgusting! Intrusive! Do not recommend this bank to anyone!

Been there twice and the 2 time that i have been there the people are so rude the guy that open up my account got my name wrong on my debit card and when i told him about it he just told me that that was my fault because i wast just on my phone when he dint even know why i was on my phone. so rude the 2nd time the girl that helped me out was just with an attitude not willing too help me with my account. I think I am just going to cancel my account with them because i really dont need to be dealing with that as a customer

If you are considering using UFCU, ask yourself, Why? Perhaps, like me, you thought that a credit union might be a little bit friendlier and more understanding than a bank. I was satisfied with UFCU until someone convinced me to get an additional bank account at a traditional bank (Bank of America). I dont want to say anything bad about BOA, because its employees have been ridiculously nice to me. However, I know its reputation is less than sterling. But its SO MUCH better than UFCU. I never have to go into a BOA, I just go to the ATM whenever I need to deposit money. Its almost always immediately available. This gave me a false sense of security about using UFCUs ATMs. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I check I deposited in a UFCU ATM on the 22nd wouldnt clear until the 27th! And this was a UFCU check! Apparently this is UFCUs standard practice, and its employees see no reason to apologize for it. Its reps even tried to convince me that this is standard banking practice. Its not, and no one should have to put up with it. So inconvenient and unhelpful! As soon as UFCU can find the time in its busy schedule to clear my check, Im taking my money and running far away! I keep seeing these little ads: dont tax my credit union. Why not? Im really not sure what wonderful service theyre providing that entitles them to tax exemption.

Im not sure how this bank has gotten positive reviews but Ive been to this bank for the majority of my time in Austin (4 years) and it has been pathetically slow with no improvement to speed up the process with workers disinterested and understaffed.I am a shared member (JSC FCU) and was originally allowed to use the drive thru to make transactions but for whatever reason I now have to go inside. By the way, this is told to me at the intercom with the air tube after I had waited 20 minutes because they have no sign or notice alerting shared members. This wouldnt be so bad (especially since the drive thru takes 20 minutes every time I go, regardless of time of day) except that when you go inside you encounter the same kiosks that you would outside! You dont get to talk to the teller, they dont ask me for anything extra being a shared member, so why not allow drive thru? Also, I previously had to correct a mistake when depositing a check because they originally put it in a different persons account! Had I not caught this error I would have lost my work salary and had to return to correct the problem, wasting more of my time. This makes for a very unprofessional, distant relationship between the bank and its members. Its like they dont even want to interact with you, just deal with your money and send you off. Makes no sense.I use the UFCU downtown on 7th now, which is rough on parking, but at least I know what Im dealing with. Very disappointing banking experience at the Guadalupe location. I would strongly recommend not wasting your time at this bank unless it is your only option.
