Notice the correlation between those who rated 5 star reviews and their total Google review history? Seems a bit convenient doesn’t it?I have never written a Google review before because I never felt it was needed but this one is an exception. I was a patient of Dr.Blayne Harris a little under a year ago. I had recently moved to Texas looking for a psychiatrist in Austin and decided to give him a try based on his ratings. Without going into too much detail, the brief couple of months I had with him were very unpleasant. To start, he is pretty much impossible to reach other than setting up an appointment. I had multiple billing issues that he provided little assistance with. More importantly, Dr. Harris lacks any empathy and made me feel as if I was lying about my symptoms and medical history which no doctor should ever do. After informing him that I was going to leave his practice, he blocked me off the intakeQ page and ignored my various calls/voicemails/messages to send my medical documents over to my current doctor. In my opinion, Dr.Blayne Harris doesn’t care about his patients, he only cares about their money. There are many great doctors in Austin, I encourage everyone reading this to do research before committing to one.

EXPENSIVE!! Initial consultation is $600 out of pocket WITH insurance. Follow-ups are $450+

I understand the good reviews but dont understand the poor reviews. Seems like we have 5 stars vs. just 1 star and nothing in the middle. Maybe because of the nature of psychiatry?

Lowry is super condescending and her tactic is to intimidate people. She told me I had bi polar and will get me on lithium the first day I saw her after a 30 minute conversation. Then tries to convince me Im crazy by saying she never said that when I told her this is why I was weary of her practice and trusting abilify is actually for me. Then she says she would never say that i should be on lithium in a first session and tells me she will have to terminate me for acusing her of lying. First she degrades me, I can tell she is judging me.. declares Im crazy after a 30 minutes conversation while I originally came in for ADHD meds. There were bi polar posters all over the wall so she clearly specializes in that field and steered our conversation into that direction. She can only practice her go-to of what she knows and doesnt listen to your own opinions of her false diagnosis and instead of working with the patient like she is suppose to she terminates you because you humiliated her ego trips where she gets into patients psyche and forces abilify down their throats that could cause serious chemical embalances if they are not actually bi polar. robbed me 80 bucks for that appointment too that I took out of my due rent.

I have been with Dr. Harris for years, he is a great doctor and cares about his patients. Recognize that this is a psychiatric clinic, and that some patients experiences may vary... for me, its been life-changing!

Just cancelled my appointment. Have been seeing Dr. Harris for months now and it was great until i moved to Dallas for work and family. I moved here about a week ago and we had our appointment scheduled for online it was a 15 minute appointment.. i missed it by TEN MINUTES. I called him during my appointment time DURING MY TIME THAT I STILL HAD HE TOLD ME I HAVE ANOTHER PATIENT BYE. I was stuck in a meeting i called as soon as i got out at 10:10 and tried to explain but he told me he would call back. He called the next day and was very adamant about me paying the 150$ no show fee. To me that’s SHADY. ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. I am a college student to me that’s A LOT. It was a 15 minute appointment that is no where near worth 150$. I have the best insurance that only has copay of 25$. He would not reason with me. He just wanted his money.Very unprofessional and heartless. All he does is sit there and ask how ur meds are and that’s it. I’m so unhappy with the level of patient care he has.. he does not care about his patients obviously and I’m happy to say I’m no longer one of them!

Dr. Harris is great! He is very knowledgeable, and takes into account my opinion before making a decision - it helps us be on the same page every time I walk out of there. Ive been seeing him for almost 4 years now.

Will never return calls you have to call him 2 to 3 times to maybe get a hold of him, will arrive late on appointments. Difficult to get a hold of no wonder his rating is horrible. Very unprofessional and at time can make you feel uncomfortable.
