My husband and I have given this location a try on multiple attempts. Based on poorly rated experiences, I treated my husband for an 60-min full body appointment (enhancements included at booking) and his experience was subpar. The body oil was cold, I paid extra for aromatherapy and there was none applied to his massage. Overall the masseuse did a poor job.Fast forward a couple of months I booked a prenatal massage for myself with the intention to reactivate an old membership used in another state. I was asked to confirm my weeks of gestation and the employee confirming the booking put me on hold to check the process of booking prenatal appointments.When I arrived for my appointment, after completing prenatal consent forms I was escorted back to my room and the masseuse asked what areas I needed assistance with. I began to inform her I was having difficulty with body aches during my pregnancy and was immediately informed that I had not been booked with a prenatal masseuse and that it was the fault of the front desk staff because they were all new hires who were unsure how to properly book prenatal appointments.A few days later I received a follow up call from the manager who gave me the same poor excuse that her front desk staff was “too new” to properly book and even though the appointment was audited to reconfirm my appointment days prior, the auditing employee was also “too new” to understand how to book correctly.Overall it has been a disappointing experience on two separate attempts. I was excited to reactivate my membership because my experience being a member of Massage Envy in Florida was the complete opposite.The result: I will now be driving over an hour to a more professional location for a better experience.

When I signed up for membership, I told them not to auto renew. I spoke with them in March & reiterated again not to renew, but they are still charging me. I had to cancel my credit card to stop charges.In the meantime, I now have 11 paid for massages, but they have no availability that fits my schedule for at least 3 weeks. I feel like these people just steal your money, but dont have enough therapists to support their contracts.

I got to my appointment 10 minutes early and the front desk person was royally rude. Completely ruined my experience, and not sure if I will come back solely because of them. To make it better, the person who was supposed to do my massage was a no-show. Just trying to relax and it was more stressful than if I’d just stayed home.

I’ve called about 10 times to cancel my membership since April and I’m still being charged. I just looked at my bank statements and I have been charged twice in April because I went in for a massage that was supposed to be 60 minutes but I got 45, which was supposed to be on the house for a previous error but I ended up being charged when I had 4 massages that I had accumulated for non use. Shame on this location. I have been told 4 times that a manager will call me and I have not been called not even once. Finally I disputed these excess charges with my bank. Absolutely the worst membership ever in life.

I’ve been a Massage Envy customer for awhile now and the Austell location has really been going down in service. I started with George who was a great massage therapist. He is no longer there. Then I switched to another therapist who was amazing but cancelled twice (the day of) due to family emergencies. This is unfortunate when the therapist can cancel and it’s treated normal but if I needed to cancel the day of (even due to illness - this has happened to me) I would be charged. This therapist is also no longer there.I’ve tried two other therapists who I would not go to again. Their technique and approach were very disappointing. Very choppy. No ease or flow from one area to the next. Very awkward and abrupt ending. I also am very disappointed that when I book a 60 minute I generally get 45 minutes of service. During my last massage I laid on the table for over 10 minutes before he ever came back. Then when we were done I checked my phone and it was right at the top of the hour.- It’s hard to get (and keep) 90 minute slots- Good therapists don’t seem to stay long and are not replaced with equivalent talent- Massage services and techniques are 5/10Overall, I’m disappointed that I’m locked into a Massage Envy contract until May with several credits to use but not so great service at my nearest location.

It would have been okay if my masseuse wouldnt have started to fall asleep about 40 minutes into my 1 hour massage. It was so awkward and unprofessional. She was older so i kept my mouth shut and tipped well. But Id definitely do better, Massage Envy.

I though really hard about leaving a review and I decided it’s the right thing to do. I’ve had good services in the past at this location and the front desk staff are always kind and helpful. However, The last 2 services I had here (One massage, and one facial) Were very disappointing. Both therapist were inexperienced and awkward. The lady doing the facial had a good touch but she wasn’t Proficient with extractions, skin analysis, or facial massage. And the guy doing the massage just seemed to not know what he was doing all together. That’s not fair when the services are supposed to be done by licensed professionals who know how to do the service being offered.

Company: 4 stars.They run some pretty good promotions over the year. I wish theyd do a discount if you pay for a year membership up front, though. The coupons they give you are okay, but need to be used in the month they are labeled, and some are for upgrades Im not interested in.Overall, the Austell location is... okay. Its the most convenient location to my home. The front-desk staff is usually friendly and personable. 4 stars there, and overall a 4-star location, for two more reasons:1) 3 stars for most of their masseuses.Ive had a few different masseuses here, and most have been so-so to disappointing-- Ive had a few who just dont listen (I stretch on my own, and I just dont feel any relief from acupressure, but some masseuses love doing it, even though I specifically say I need a ton of pressure and movement due to nerve damage), and I walk out annoyed that I spent money on that nonsense, and muscles still tight.2) 5 stars for Stephen.Stephen is great! Id give him 5 stars alone if I could, so hes the reason this review is a 4 instead of a 3 star overall. Try to book with him if you book here (just not on days I want in) -- he actually listens to what you need, and can do deep pressure.

I had been going to this location for a year before I renewed my membership! I used to see Joseph who was amazing! I now see Ontario. He is also amazing! I make my appointments online now and have not had any problems! I would recommend this location. The staff is always friendly and I enjoy my sessions!

I decided to treat myself to a year of self-care and purchased an annual membership. The verdict? My masseuse, Mr. Joseph is exceptional! His attention to detail and desire to tailor your experience to what ails you is beyond measure.During each session, he gives me exercises to mitigate my arthritis pain. I go to him for the total body stretch which is something you dont realize your body needs until you see how stiff you really are. You will leave feeling limber and refreshed.His deep tissue massages are equally divine. He applies the right amount of pressure to get me back on track. This is one of the better massage therapy centers and their pricing is more than fair. I highly recommend them and their operating hours are designed to accommodate any schedule. Go!

My best friend said she had free massages that she hadnt used yet, so she was allowed to bring someone in for a free massage. So when we got there lets just say what was supposed to be free cost me almost $50 bucks. After the tip they automatically charge you, plus tax, plus a hold fee or something like that. Plus $10 for something else. Then I asked was I going to be put on some type of list or anything if I used my card. They said NO.But then I wind up getting letters in the mail saying I owe money for missing an appointment in ever set up. And they were charging my card every month.I definitely will not be dealing with them EVER AGAIN!!!

After reading reviews already posted I was quite skeptical. However, my sister and I had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive and we experienced no real wait time. George and Joseph delivered with exceptional technique and care. They seemed quite seasoned at their crafts and Joseph especially had a great table side manner. We left immediately feeling the results. I have been having intense headaches, lingering nasal congestion and significant tension in my neck and shoulders. The next day I woke up feeling no tension, no congestion and I felt so much more flexible and mobile. My sister suffers from many pains resulting from a car accident. She was so very pleased with the pain management that her massage yielded. Kudos to George and Joseph! We will definitely become repeat patrons.

*UPDATE* I finally got In for a massage today: The care received today by Ontario attempted to establish better customer service experience. Massage was good, and the proximity to my house can’t be beat. Look forward to future care here.Memorial Day weekend: They kept putting me on hold, the phone would hardly ring. Called 3 times today and held for at least 5 minutes the first time. definitely dont need my immediate business. On to the next place...

Ive had good massages here, no complaints there. But I came here to get treatment done to help lighten the acne scars and redness on my face. At the first appointment the ethnestician examined my skin and said the chemical peel was the best option and would do wonders! I had multiple treatments done (its part of the process) but there was 0 improvement. Not even a little. I paid so much money to have this done and am so disappointed! Dont come here for this treatment, go to a dermatologist and get it done by a real professional who knows what theyre talking about. Wish I could get my money back.

Ashlynn at the Austell location is the absolute best massage therapist Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. She manages to work out the tension in my muscles AND make it feel good, most people arent able to do both. I always leave relaxed and with a smile on my face. The staff at this location is also very friendly and helpful.Massage Envy as a corporation, I am not a big fan of. There are a lot of policies that are clearly in place so that they can steal your money and they have horrible customer service. If I didnt already have a great routine with a massage therapist I love, I would be finding a different company to give my money to.

Horrible new management!! I was a member for a year, and they did not cancel my membership after I requested it in person. Now, I have to cancel my credit card because they continue to charge it every month. This has costed me!! Take my advice, and stay away, unless you have money and time to waste!!Update: Issue finally resolved a few weeks after this review posted.

My husband and I stopped by on Friday and made appointments for Saturday 9/14/2019 at noon. We were on our way out the door when we got a call informing him that his massage was cancelled. We had planned a day of relaxation together so I cancelled my massage because I didnt want to go without him. Today (9/16) I called to reschedule and I asked if she could tell me the person my husband was seeing because I did not want to schedule another appointment with her. Julia tells me that she couldnt see it and so I asked her if she could see the appointment I had with Ontario. She say, we dont have an Ontario here. By this time Im totally frustrated because Im looking at the email confirming my appointment with Ontario. Needless to say I will never go there again.

The location is nice but my massage was basically getting rubbed down with a lot of lotion on my arms and legs. Strangest massage Ive ever had. No attention to my back or areas the therapist asked me to point out before we got started. I wish I could say all good things, but it was a pretty lack luster experience for me.

Terrible customer service. I booked massages for both me and my husband. Being pregnant, I requested a prenatal massage at the time of booking. The person on the phone said we were all set and that I would be good for the prenatal. A couple days later when we came in for our massages, the therapists working said they did not do prenatal. The therapists were pretty rude about it and did not make us feel comfortable at all. They did not even say hello to us before they realized this mistake and had walked past us a couple times, not even acknowledging us.When we were leaving, it felt like they were glad to not have our business. I was disappointed we could not get massages but I was even more disappointed by the way the situation we handled. The receptionist said he would call the manager and get us some gift cards but that never happened. Terrible experience.

I will never go to this place again. I went there on yesterday for a massage due to some neck and upper back tension that I’ve been having. The guy that did my massage last name was Heard, and he never asked during the massage was the pressure ok, it literally felt like he was trying to break my bones. When I arrived home and today my back is hurting worser than it was before I went I guess because of the intense pressure. The front office staff is not friendly, place was not very inviting and clean as most massage places I’ve been to!

Horrible new management!! With the departure of Joseph I decided I would just do my massages on an as needed bases today I decided I needed a massage. I emailed to cancel my membership back in dec and made several phone calls to get this correct but never heard back. Today I booked at Camp Creek but the only way to get the massage was to pay from back in Dec. I had no choice because I need this massage. I will be calling Corp and disputing those charges I did not authorize. I will only pay for services I received. What a disappointment!!

Unfortunately I can not recommend this place. The front office staff were nice & kind the actual person doing the massage was also nice. The unfortunate part comes the day after where I woke up with bruises, a huge one on my glutes. As a massage therapist one should know how much pressure to apply as well as oil which was kept to a minimum, I mean his hands did not really glide over my skin as it should.As far as the facility itself, its very sterile. No ambiance, no aromatherapy scents in the rooms, no calming visual effects, the oil they use isnt even scented & I immediately showered when I made it home because I just didnt feel right.For this place to charge $99 for a basic 50min massage is ridiculous & then to push a mbrshp at you is laughable. Why would I pay a mbrshp for such subpar service & ambiance.This was a gift to me so I hate that it wasnt what I expected being that Ive been to spas before & know what to expect.The overall experience was disappointing 😔.

Update... Service degrades ever time Im in here. Bizarre admin decisions .This might be one of the sub-par MEs out there, but the service is satisfactory. They have recently updated the facility so maybe in the future this review will also be updated. No promises. Ill continue to go for now. If it doesnt get much better than this, I will consider driving out to a different location.

This place locks you in a membership and tell you no matter how bad the service, you have to pay until your contract run out. Please stay away from massage envy. I see why you have a class action lawsuit pending.

Called to make them aware I was behind and that I didnt wanna be late and if I could reschedule. I was told I am now blocking off two scheduled appt (by now moving my appt) and its normally a fee , she was rude then she stated she would move it and it was no fee this time. Anyways, I cancelled my appointment didnt even reschedule and I dont plan on even trying to go especially to that location ever again. That is not something you explain to a NEW CLIENT ever on the phone especially if you werent gonna charge me . YOU JUST WANTED TO COMPLAIN. Next time explain that at the visit when the patient comes in so they can sign all the new client paper stating that.

The manager is rude and pushy. When I first tried to sign up for a minimal membership she kept repeating back a more expensive one, as if Id actually said that. A real con. When my one-year membership expired, $ continued to be taken out of my bank account, even though I hadnt authorized it. When I tried to speak to the manager, she kept putting me off through a receptionist. Since she had my $, I was obviously no longer a valued customer. Btw, I already complained about this to upper management, receiving no response.I ended up having to call my bank to stop the stealing. This should give everyone a good idea of the shady nature of this business.

I have major back issues from my car accident when I tell you his hands are GOLDEN...!!! I mean amazing! Hes takes his time and really work out the knocks you may have! I, too, have figromyalgia, and have been treated according to my doctors recommendations. The front staff seems to be very knowledgable and courteous, and I could not ask for better service!

As a first time customer of Massage Envy, I will NEVER go to this location again. I went in to purchase gift cards for the mothers in my life and was there 2+ hours. That was the 1st strike. The 2nd strike was when I had to pay over $300 twice because the transaction was not done correctly the first time. The 3rd and final straw was when the initial transaction was NEVER voided and my bank paid them twice totaling over $700. I got the run around from the employee and clinical manager about returning my money. Needless to say I am still waiting and for that reason they will NEVER receive my business again!!! If you are a fan of Massage Envy, do not go to the Austell Rd. location. Youve been warned!

Went to this location bc I received a gift card. Introductory rate of $50 then it goes up to $90 after your 1st massage (that is insane)! I explained my situation just a little sciatica issue nothing crazy just wanted a MASSAGE. The man was very pleasant said he was going to do some raki energy work which I am familiar with but I didnt pay for raki I paid for a MASSAGE. Then that seemed to be all he really did at no point was I really massaged. It was also very hard to relax with doors slamming all around. On top of that I was drenched in oil afterward. Then when I went to pay I thought there was only $75 on the gift card my total was $60 and she says so do you want to leave the remaining $15 for a tip? Uh yeah sure Im a waitress so naturally feel obligated to tip everyone. Turns out I had $100 on the card she says would you like to use the rest and buy some of our products? So that would mean you want me to use almost half of my massage gift card on not actually getting a massage?! I really hope I have better luck at another location but this experience was NOT GOOD!

I have had the worst time with this place!!! First off, I have Lupus, RA, & fibromyalgia. When I first called last year to make an appointment I explained that to them and I asked them if they had anyone who specialized in these types of diseases. I was told that they did indeed have someone there that had just went through specialized training for such things. I went ahead and signed up for the monthly massage deal so I could save money and hopefully use massage therapy for trying to alleviate some of my pain.When I went in for my appointment I had a very nice very young man as my therapist. He began and we talked as he was going. I asked him about his specialized training and he proceeds to tell me that he had none and that his mom has Lupus so that is why they thought he would be a good fit. I was floored that I had been lied too but he was nice and I thought it would be ok. I was seriously so sore after that, it sent my body into a flare up. It took several weeks to get back to having less pain. It took me several months to reschedule for fear of it happening again and sure enough, the same thing happened. After the third time (same results) I went to my Reumatologist and she asked me to stop having the massage, saying it was doing more harm than good as they do not specialize in the type of therapy I needed.I called them up and canceled. I had to send in a letter form my Dr saying that it needed to end. They finally let me out of my contract after 2 months of going back and forth. At that point I had 2 more massages that I had paid for and instead of asking them to refund my money I was told i could gift them to someone else and they wouldnt charge me the $10 fee it normally costs to gift a massage. It took me a few months to decide who I would give them too. I called last week to tell them who I wanted to gift them to and was told they expired!!! WHAT?? How can a service I paid for expire and you get to keep my money too??? That makes no sense! No one told me that they expire or I wouldve done this sooner. Then I was basically called a liar by Danielle saying that, you were definitely told because there is a note in the computer saying they will expire. Just because there is a note does not mean that someone transcribed that to me and I do not appreciate being told I am lying!Buyer beware! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! THEY LIE AND STEAL YOUR MONEY! THEY ShOULD BE SHuT DOWN! This is why you should never use these little cookie cutter massage places. Give your business to real massage artists that wont steal from you or lie to you!

The Austell Massage Envy is by far the most unprofessional non customer service giving establishment I have ever been to.They keep you on hold for long periods of time. The last young lady that gave me a message had a body odor and the message room and bathrooms are not clean. I will never give this Message Envy a dime or my time.
