Would give 0 stars if I could. I did not realize how awful this place was until I went to another dentistry and realized they are doing everything wrong. Whether it comes to their rude receptionist, or their work which I’ve wasted thousands of dollars on, it is an absolute waste to come here. Not to mention they don’t believe they have to care about the customer service they give because they are “not in the customer service business”. Their words, not mine. I promise you, you’ll be better off going ANYWHERE than here. Can’t believe I wasted years coming here.

The best experience I have had at the dentist. I have tough issues and the team here, Dr. ONeill/ Dr. Brandt provide excellent care. I was very impressed with Jennifer the Hygienist. Absolutely the best I have ever had! I am just thrilled to have a great dentist and team. The office is very clean and they are taking extreme precautions to keep patients safe. State of the art technology is used as well. Quick and effortless. THANK YOU!

I originally a bad experience with Dr. O’Neill and his staff at the (Modern Valley) location for a crown installation. My bite was jacked up causing a lot of pain. After 5 unsuccessful attempts of them (Modern Valley) trying to adjust my bite they finally sent me to see Dr. O’Neill at this (Cornerstar) location. We were finally able to work through our difficulties and get everything corrected with the help of his awesome assistant Kyra. In fact, she was extremely patient, nice and so helpful that I requested her a second time. All the staff were friendly also, had great energy and actually smiled, especially the ladies at the front desk. I would definitely recommend this office.

I am not sure what happened to the staff here. My family had been going to this dentist for the last 2 years. Like others have said, they try to sell you procedures you dont need, and the prices are definitely on the high end of the scale. Those things didnt really bother me too much. I would politely decline the extra (and costly) services, but would always be happy with the services I received. Thank goodness I have good insurance to offset the prices! However, over the past year, I have seen dentists and office staff come and go. For awhile I truly liked everyone in the practice, they were kind and welcoming and knew me and my kiddos by name - that has all ended. I had the unfortunate need to discuss a private matter with the office manager, Tammy. Not only does this woman not pick up on social cues (if someone is obviously having a rough morning, continuously mentioning that you notice it DOES NOT HELP) but has absolutely no tact. Blaring private account information so the entire office can hear is incredibly unprofessional - not to mention embarrassing! To top this wonderful visit off, I turn the corner only to over hear her complaining to another staff member about the situation. Very classy. I would have gladly recommended this practice to anyone a year ago, but now I wont even tell people I have ever heard of them. My family of 7 will find another, more stable and professional, practice for our dental and orthodontic needs.

I have been a patient of Cornerstar Dental Group since moving to Aurora three years ago. We “found” this practice as they were the only one taking new patients in the area and it was a great find. We have received excellent dental care, the people are pleasant and professional and knowing this I (somewhat) look forward to my next appointment. But today was exceptional. Their new dental hygienist Leah raised the bar another notch. I had one of most thorough exams and cleanings ever, all while carrying on a pleasant conversation with a extremely talented young professional. While anyone can examine and clean your teeth this place leaves you with the smile the others only promise.

Best orthodontist team, I am really happy with them. Billing has been a nightmare. I paid my treatment off yet month after month they continue to charge me. It’s getting old having to call in and being told it’s being taken care of when it’s not.Update: a year later I have had to have every filing they did re-done. While I was being treated by them for orthodontic work (which I still say was great), I figured I would use them for dentistry for a one-stop-shop. I had 5 filings done by them. My two front bottom teeth were fused and the dentist at the time just took a tiny saw and sawed them apart, leaving them jagged and I couldn’t floss properly. At the same time I had another filling done, a few weeks later it fell out during the middle of the night. I went back and they re-did it but a year later I’m having to have it re-done because it came loose and is crumbling apart. I’m grateful I found a new dentist but learn from my mistakes and don’t trust them with your teeth! I don’t believe the dentist I went to is still there but none of the ones I experienced were that great. If something doesn’t feel right here, trust your instincts.

I started coming here three years ago when I needed my wisdom teeth removed. I worked nearby and needed to have an emergency visit due to the pain. They fit me in right away for a consultation, realized that my wisdom teeth had to be removed, and the oral surgeon did a fantastic job. I healed up great with no complications. After the surgery, I could have gone back to my regular dentist, but I had such a good experience with Cornerstar that I kept going back for regular cleanings. I have had at least eight cleanings at Cornerstar, and they do a fabulous job. The dental hygienists, especially Sterling, are always incredibly gentle, which is a rare thing to come by. I have also never spent more than 45 minutes in the office, from when I walk in the door to when Im back in my car. I know it sounds crazy, but even after I moved north of Denver, I will continue to drive 40+ minutes to Cornerstar for my dental visits because they do such a better job than every other dentist I have been to.Im not sure where the negative reviews come from, but Ive had both routine cleanings and oral surgery at Cornerstar and I would highly recommend them.

This is one of the nicest dental offices I have ever been to.I havent been to the dentist in over 4 years due to fear of dentists.I ended up needing to go into the dentist due to a hole in my tooth from massive decalcification and decay. This was from lack of getting my teeth cleaned by professionals as well as lacking on my part. I took a chance and went in. The staff were very friendly, caring, and when I told them why I hadnt been in to a dental professional in such a long time they made sure that I felt safe.**I hadnt been into a dental office for years due to a previous dental health professional that numbed me in all the wrong spots in my mouth and then proceeded to go in with a drill anyways as I felt all of the pain. Needless to say that would spook anyone! **The staff paid close attention to my needs making sure that I didnt feel any pain and explained the procedures being done in detail so that I knew exactly what was going to happen. I have now had multiple procedures done by this dental office and will continue to go regularly. I have had a full dental deep cleaning, teeth whitening, polishing, and 5 fillings.I would highly recommend this office to many others and now I have a beautiful smile!Sincerely,Nicole!

After several attempts from a specialist to clear up an infection in my gum near the root of a tooth I decided to have it pulled. Instead of waiting for the specialist to recommend a good dentist I went to Cornerstar. My first impression was that the office was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I also liked that an office staff member came into my room before the procedure and discussed with me all of the costs, what my insurance covered and what I would need to pay after the procedure. That was the good part of the visit. When the dentist came in he was very friendly and addressed all of my fears. I was then taken into another room for the procedure. First of all they DID NOT NUMB my gums before giving me the shots to numb the area before the procedure. I never realized how much having that little cotton swab in your mouth before the shots helped with the pain BUT BELIEVE ME IT WORKS!!!! When the dentist put the first shot in my mouth the pain was horrible! Not only did I experience a lot of pain but also a lot of pressure too. This continued for 3 shots!!! IT WAS THE WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!! The tooth pulling was no big deal after that! Then when I went to pick up my prescriptions all of my meds were not recommended for nursing mothers!!! Luckily for me my mother-in-law is a Midwife and I was able to get medical advice from her on what to take. If you are already fearful of going to the dentist DONT GO HERE!!!! You will never want to see a dentist again! I guess the positive side to this is that it will definitely make you take better care of your teeth!

My review is pretty much the same as everyone elses with a low rating. The staff try to sell you on numerous procedures that you dont need. I had been going there since 2009 and stopped in 2017. Im very good with keeping up with my 6 month cleanings, and had no issues for many years. Then the last few years of going there and also when my husband started going here it was all of a sudden problem after problem, we needed this and this and that. We finally stopped going to them because we were tired of all the numerous procedures we all of a sudden needed and the bills that insurance of course did not cover. The new dentist I am with there is no additional work just my standard 6 month cleaning nothing extra. I do not recommend this place, the dentists, hygienists and front desk staff change all the time and Im sure there is a reason for that.

I had similar experience as Elizabeth Ford.Went there for a cleaning and was shown a $2000 estimate of the work that needed to be performed else would have to go and get a surgery done which would be more expensive according to them. They were very on top of things, x rays, photos ..I knew something was coming. I was in a situation where I had to decide if I should do the cleaning and if so the costs associated with it ( very high and most of them not covered by insurance - the laser and irrigation stuff )was there for a hour and then I decided not to go ahead with it.I think they operate differently than conventional dentists and you fall into that web. The reviews I checked are great so not sure why I feel like that ..but just do your homework before you plunge.

Absolutely terrible -- DO NOT TRUST THIS PRACTICE!!I hadnt been to a dentist in a few years and was very nervous to see why my tooth was causing me pain.. the x-ray tech/ dental assistant that helped me should not be in customer service - she was unbelievably rude. It took her countless tries and 15 minutes of attempting a good x-ray of my painful tooth. Finally she had another assistant try and BAM he got the shot right away. When I met with the doctor he told me that my root was infected and I would need a root canal and crown, or he could just extract the tooth. Recommended I just get the root canal done. The receptionist came in to go over details and with my insurance it was going to be about $700 out of pocket. She was overly pushy trying to get me to stay and do the root canal the same day.. I kept explaining to her that I had to get back to work but she was very persistent! I was literally FIGHTING with her telling her I was not going to do the procedure today. By then I had a gut feeling that they just cared about money.I left and scheduled a second opinion a few days later.. and what do you know -- my root is COMPLETELY HEALTHY. My gum was infected which was causing the pain. Did a round of antibiotics and have been back to normal since.A gut feeling and a second opinion saved me $700.

The day of the procedure I go in and as Im in the chair right before it is to begin Im told about another option for taking care of the cavity which is supposed to be a more permanent fix. Of course this would be somewhere in the neighborhood of an additional $500. I got out of the chair and told the dentist I was leaving because I didnt feel comfortable with this practice. He offered to do the new procedure for the original amount I was quoted and apologized for the error, so I stayed and had the work done. I have been seen routinely by this group for the past 2 and a half years, and had absolutely no complaints until today. I checked in at the front desk and told the receptionist that I am 32 weeks pregnant. She proceeds to tally up my charges for care that I was about to receive, and when I decline the $30 fluoride treatment (as I do at every check-up because I dont feel its necessary: I have no cavities and get cleanings every 6 months) she turns on the hard sell. She tells me I really should get it since (according to her) pregnancy depletes your normal state of health and the consequences will be a mouth riddled with cavities without said treatment. I happen to be a registered nurse, and Im appalled that a non-licensed staff member is providing medical advise, and within an earshot of at least 5 other patients in the lobby to boot. To assumption that fluoride is 100% safe to unborn babies is irresponsible as every drug has its associated risks; and the discussion of such risks needs to be between doctor and patient, not patient and receptionist (and all the other patients in the lobby). Then the receptionist asked if I had a note from my OB/GYN. Excuse me? I need a note to get my teeth cleaned? She gets the doctors who takes me to an office (finally, a little patient confidentiality is upheld) and tells me he really needs a note from my OB/GYN giving the green light to clean and exam my teeth. Without asking any questions or assessing for himself what state of oral health I currently have, he flat out refuses. I had never seen this doctor, but I had the distinct feeling that he only wanted that note from a liability standpoint. Dentists are doctors, and they spend a long time in school learning about how all sorts of physiological changes that occur in life, including pregnancy, affect oral health. Shame on him for not practicing the evidenced-based care that is recommended for pregnant women and delaying my care.Oh but the saga of this dental group continues…My husband has an appointment later in the day. He knew he was in for a deep cleaning, but the office did not provide an estimate of services that wouldn’t be covered by our insurance, just simply slapped him with an $850 NON-ITEMIZED bill AND recommended another $2000 for crowns that are “leaking”. He had a bad feeling about this place from the last time he was there because he felt like they were scamming him, and I wish so much that we would have listened to his gut instinct and found another practice instead of going back.So he comes home with his discharge instructions that are handwritten on a scratch piece of paper; which is all well and fine, I’m as green as the next Coloradian, except that this “scratch” piece of paper is a tax form with 2 complete names on it! This practice is reckless and has their own interests above that of patients. Needless to say, we will be changing dentists.

This was by far the worst experience I have encountered. I came in open-minded and hopeful and left with a improperly placed crown. I came in for 5 weeks straight, complaining of pain and throbbing and after the 5th visit they advised I would need a root canal. No proper examination was done and after a second opinion at Aspen Dental ( INCREDIBLE PLACE!) I was advised that from the 5 times they adjusted my crown, it had been cracked and simply needed to be replaced. I almost endured a nightmare of a procedure by Dr. De LaPaz due to lack of attention and proper examination of the tooth. I would never, ever recommend this establishment to anyone. It is EXACTLY the reason why people are terrified of going to the dentist. They do not care about your oral health and all they want is to bill your insurance and your money. They push procedures on you that you do not even need!!! Not to mention after leaving messages with the doctor TWICE in regards to themisdiagnosis, I never received a call-back and had to call them instead multiple times. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and dental association for mal-practice.If you decide to give them a try, PLEASE get a second opinion. So where do I start. I went to this office out of convenience and because it was one of the offices covered by my insurance company. Well lets just say I will never go here and I dont recommend you go here either. I went in for my routine cleaning and it honestly had been probably a year at the most since my last clean. I was new to Colorado and still trying to get settled so that was something I neglected. However, this practice was beyond expensive. They did an examination, x-rays films, consultation in this little room with the dentist. After the consultation they take you back to a room, do the x-rays and then proceed to tell me I have bone loss and I have to get this laser cleaning every three months and I have one cavity that can be filled and two cavities that are too deep to fill and I need two crowns (which can be done at my convenience on the same day :-/ ). So I ask how much is all this gonna cost and she tells me $3000, so naturally I start to panic cuz I dont have that kinda money and that is really expensive. So at first I said I would wait and get a second opinion, then they send the dentist in to talk to me which in hine sight I think was kinda like an intimidation tactic. But it worked because I ended up getting the work done. The next day I was so upset with myself because I knew in my gut I should have waited. They offered me this interest free for 18 mo credit card to put the charges on. And when the accounts person showed me the bill, without insurance it would have been over 5k worth of worth. Which I have NEVER had happen to me. The cleanings they recommended arent even covered by my insurance company, I kindly cancelled ALL my other appointment they made and told them why I was leaving their practice. If you want to leave a place feeling like you have been raped and taken advantage of then go here cuz you will get that and more!!!!

A couple of them were fillings that needed to be replaced. Well I didnt have the over $3000 they quoted me to get all of my dental work done, so I procrastinated for a year. Well I went to Comfort Dental for there free filling day. I vaguely told the dentist and assistant that I had another dentist tell me that I had a cavity. After this dentist got done he informed me that I need to get a filling replaced, but nothing about any crowns. Then i probed deeper. I asked the Dentist, do you think I need any crowns any where? He said no. All in all I told him about what cornerstar told me and he completely disagreed with needing any crowns.
