Well worth the 4.5 hours. I have long hair and they were able to give me box braids fairly quickly. They also recommended the best products that have really helped reduce any dandruff and itching to nearly nothing. I’m currently at three weeks and will probably give them another week or so, they’re starting to loosen up at the top but not too bad.

This was my first time here. I booked last minute on a Saturday because I saw that they had openings. They accepted my booking and were flexible when I told them that I was running a bit late. Before starting my crochets, Carmen asked if I was tender headed (I don’t get asked that very often from stylists) and I told her YES, EXTREMELY. I could see that she was taking her time with the parting and being extra careful and slow when she encountered any tangles. She asked me very often if she was braiding too tight, to make sure that I was comfortable. She asked me what directions she wanted everything to flow in so that she could cater to it. She offered me water. Was in and out in 2hrs (would’ve been quicker if I detangled my hair better beforehand). Was affordable. This was one of the best experiences that I have ever had a hair salon. Will definitely be coming back.Note: if you want your baby hairs out, make sure you let them know before hand, so they don’t braid everything back. I forgot until the end, but I am still super satisfied with the quality and the priceAlso note: PLEASE be careful with taking your braid foundation out. Their pattern is very complex and it is extremely easy to cut your own hair (guilty) even though they warned me.

One star is because I got my hair done here once and it was pretty good. The cost far outweighed the style but all and all it was alright. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Not everyone wore masks but some did.Heres my problem. I booked a service with this shop. They canceled less than 6 hours before my appointment on a Saturday because they were busy? Tf? 😒 Also you have a site that you seen me booked for that time awhile ago. They do not respect your time at all especially if youre American. 😤 (I speak French.) While I got my hair done the first time I noticed 1 woman sets all the appointments for every girl and picks and chooses whos the most valuable. 😕 This means my hairstyle wasnt in the price range and someone else needed my time so they canceled. Ive also the sites theyre on know cause this is wrong. 😑🤨 So yeah Im good.

My experience was very good. Got my hair done in mostly singles last Friday and when I explained to her the troubles Ive had with previous hair stylists, she was very understanding. My hair is not thick and course like most black hair... Very soft and thin. She did reconstructive braids which immediately let me know that she knew what she was doing. Last person that did my hair had 4 people working on me and I lost a lot of hair and edges in a matter of days. Here, I only had her and one other lady who only finished the ends for her. I know that when its time to take these down I will have hair left on my head (more than what I had. Lol). I feel extremely satisfied and Im very happy that I have finally found a stylist that I look forward to returning to.

Carmen is awesome! I moved to the area in August 2020. She is very welcoming and help me make the decision on what was best for my hair. My hair has grown so much within the 6 months that I have been receiving services from her. If you want your locs to look and feel wonderful, call and make an appointment.

This place is amazing! Carmen was so friendly and very accommodating. I originally had an appointment for loc extensions on a Tuesday, but Carmen called me on a Monday saying her client cancelled and asked if I wanted to get by hair done then instead. After coming in earlier that Monday, she took care of me and did a very lovely job on my loc extensions! I’m so happy I found her shop it’s such a professional and caring environment and I recommend this place highly! 10/10

Ive been going to Carmen for years and she always does a good job. I get many compliments when I go to her to get my hair done. Carmen is personable and honest. If you ask her about a style, she will be honest with you. I appreciate it because it saved me from wasting time and money. I highly appreciate and recommend this shop. The owner is very professional. I went in for a locs consultation and to have starter locs done. She was able to help me decide on which loc method to do even though I had no idea what I wanted. She finished my hair much quicker than I expected, it turned out beautifully and the price was extremely reasonable. Im already looking forward to coming here for my future hair appointments.

Absolutely LOVE the ladies at Lucky Hair Braiding! Carmen has been braiding my hair for 10 years. I live in Colorado Springs, and have yet to find someone who has such high quality and pays attention to detail. I get compliments all the time! She is so accommodating to my schedule, and fits me in early so I can get back home. Lucky Hair Braiding is amazing!

Ok so first good moral and very welcoming, but my hair was done entirely too tight. My head is bruised and my hair is ripped out. I paid her 180 dollars but I did received 100 back- but overall it was very painful.Edit, since I got text messages this morning about my review. How “professional”. I went to another salon the next day after my fiancé started to cut my braids out because my scalp was swollen. And they even had a hard time getting my hair out because it was so tight. They gave me a wash and other treatments for my hair. They also told me to let my hair and scalp breath. I came back and they took pictures of my scalp- my hair was ripped out, and scalp yes was bruised and bleeding. They gave me a protective hairstyle. Let me give everyone an idea of my pain tolerance. I sat threw a 5 hour tattoo session on my hand all the way down to my finger tips just fine, I can handle pain. My hair was being ripped out slowly. It was just too tight. And no I have never been tender headed. As she said in the reply she told me to take a shower and let water run over the due and I did that. But the added weight was unbearable. There is a difference between the due hurting and being a little tight and getting some hair bumps to your hair being ripped out and taking 6 aleve with no alleviation to your head and eyes and neck hurting due to the tightness. And I also posted the pictures of my scalp, they’re no longer up there so I assume she took them down. If I’m lying then why did you remove the pictures I added?

I had an appointment for 4pm yesterday and when I arrived at the shop the door was locked. I called her about 7 times as well and her mailbox was full. I feel like this is a sign that I should go somewhere else. Customer service is really important to me, no matter how good you are at hair its imperative to treat your customers well.

Was Not pleased with my childs hair, mixed hair on top of that. Her hair was very burt, for a wash nd flat iron. After all that i had to have her hair fixed! She didnt even clip her ends.$50 dollar rip off on my 12yrs head.

I had a appointment scheduled with her on December 4th at 12pm. I couldnt seem to find the address she had provided me. I procedded to call her. I called her about 7 times and didnt get a response or call back. I eventually had to find a new braiding shop at extreme short notice. Its been a day now, and she still hasnt returned my calls.. horrible customer service. Ill never be calling her for an appointment again.
