Crowning Glory Hair Salon is AMAZING! Ms. Nikki and her staff are the best. They are so professional and really care about their clients. I took my daughter in because her hair had completely dreaded! Her hair is very long and I could not get these dreads out. Ms. Nikki got her right in and did such a wonderful job on my little girls hair. I seriously recommend this salon and can not wait to get my own hair done there!

She was very informative on what I should be doing to take better care of my hair which I appreciate. By far the best salon experience I’ve ever had and I will definitely be going back.

Today I met two beautiful professional women who made me feel like family from the time I arrived until I left.I showed up with conditioner and tea tree oil on my head because I had removed box braids that I had worn for 4 months trying to untangle my hair.Unfortunately, that wasnt the best mixture for what I was trying to do. Nikki assistant was so patient and careful with my hair. Not only did she do an Amazing job with untangling my hair, she educated me on how and what to use if I find myself in this predicament again.I left feeling so beautiful, and my hair had so much body and felt amazing!!!Book with these ladies you will not be disappointed 🙌🏿

I researched over 20 hair salons in and out of my area and when i came across Crowing Glory Hair Salon I skeptical of this facility but after seeing the salon, talking with the hair stylist she really made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision to do pixie cut. I absolutely love Crowning Glory Hair Salon! I transitioned to Denver from the South as the result of Travel Nursing and was in search of a salon that would give me that southern hair care plus. I love this place, let’s start off with the esthetics. They were the first thing I saw, I pay attention to a buisness who cares about the feel of their brand. Second was the environment ,friendliness and communication were on point. My hair was damaged and brittle and now it is healthy and bouncy and beautiful. I just love the crowing glory experiences❤️.

Overall I had a pretty good experience at the salon. Nikki, who I believe is the owner, washed , conditioned, trimmed, and did a silk press on my hair and the result was lovely. I have a very thick and dry head of 4c natural hair, so initially I wasn’t sure she would be able to straighten it, but somehow my hair is silkier than it’s ever been including when I had relaxed hair. I’ll include some before and after pix. I also appreciated the efficiency of the process. She had a few clients before me but I didn’t wait long at all. Definitely give crowning glory a shot.

Ive been looking for a natural hair stylist for a long time in the area now and stumbled upon this one. I had Nikki as my stylist and she is AMAZING! The staff is very welcoming and took the time to educate me on my hair and what we can do to make it more healthier and grow more throughout time. I will definitely be back!

Daughters hair still hasn’t grown back from the disastrous hair cut she received from this salon. I’m still livid the beautician told me “take her to get ice cream if she gets teased at school.” That means she knew her work was horrible. She also burned my face several times when she was curling my hair. Will NEVER recommend or visit this salon again.

I came in on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment, my hair needed rescue cause I had to attend an event later the evening, Nicky stayed longer than she should have and helped me out (even though I was a first time customer). And Tony also cut my hair. The service was exceptional and outstanding

If you want to come to a salon where the atmosphere is super friendly, stylist who are educated about hair, and are familiar with all the lastest styles, then Crowning Glory is the place where you need to make your next appointment!! I have been coming to Crowning Glory for over 4yrs now; and Unless Nikki the owner moves her salon from the state, this is the only place I will continue coming to!! They have customers who are all up and down the front range who come there, and that is really saying something!! If you are new to Colorado and are freaking out because of what the climate is doing to your hair? Then be proactive and not reactive and run to Crowning Glory they will help you understand how you are going to need to maintain your hair and help it continue to be healthy and beautiful!

The black stylists here are amazing! If you need your natural hair managed they will do a phenomenal job! Ive only been with Tony but from what Ive seen, they are all great with black hair.

UPDATE: I am appalled and disappointed at the customer service (or lack thereof) I just received when calling to make an appointment. This would have only been the second time that I have been to this place. I called and left a detailed message asking for a call back. I did not know my stylists name but was told that the shop would always be able to pull it up by my name. The woman who called me back not only refused to check my voicemail prior to returning my call, but also told me that she would be unable to look up my stylists name because she was not in front of the computer. Instead of offering to call me back once she had access, she asked me to physically describe my stylist. When I clearly sounded that I was uncomfortable with doing this she said, light skinned, dark skinned? It is EXTREMELY unprofessional for someone to ask (knowing that Ive only been there once) me to physically describe a stylist. I would have rathered she just call me back. Describing someone is subjective and offensive to me personally and a place of business should never even go that route. If you have taken the time to have a voicemail and someone leaves a message then check it. And if you are not in a place where you can look up information then offer to serve the customer by calling them back. This is ghetto to me and I thought this place was better than that. I will happily take my business somewhere else.

Consistently good service for natural hair. I have 4c thick and completely unruly hair, but this place has been a godsend to keep me from chopping my hair and going bald.😂

I came to Crowning Glory about a year ago embarrassed and with no hope for my hair. I had been wearing wigs for years because my hair had broken off so badly. When I got there all of the hair stylists were very supportive and helpful, the owner Mrs. Nickey helped me figure out a style that I ended up loving. My hair has now grown and is healthier than ever. So greatful for this salon and highly recommend it to anyone!

Crowning Glory is an excellent hair salon. I had been having problems with my natural hair and Nickey as well as Awar have helped my hair grow and get healthier in just a couple of visits. Im very pleased with the service and professionalism.

Ive been coming here for a few years now and I always joke I will follow Nickey to the ends of the earth if she moved! I had spent years bouncing back and forth from salon to salon trying to find a place that didnt sneakily change the price on me or had me in there all day. I found Crowning Glory by accident and Im glad I did.I also had what Ive called the Perm Problem where I believed the only way I could have my hair nice was to relax it. The result of this mentality was my hair shedding and thinning out, even though I gave myself a long time between touch ups. I did relax my hair at Crowning Glory and it looked great, so originally I thought the problem was I was using bad box perms. However, Crowning Glory is the first place that convinced me that I didnt need to chemically treat my hair to have it look nice. Nickey gave me great tips on how to keep my hair nice in this dry state of Colorado. My hair has been doing great ever since.Also , my husband thanks her because since my hair has been doing better I no longer where those hair pieces he hates.😄

Just another bs privately owned salon. I made an appointment for eight no one showed up to open the shop until 9 even when it clearly says on their door opens at 8. So at 9 there still were no stylist and the boss couldnt be contacted so I was informed that they could get someone in at 10, 2 hours past my appointment like I have nothing else to do. It doesnt matter that they couldnt reach me to tell me my stylist wasnt going to be there I should have been able to show up at 8, my appointment time, and been told this and had other stylist there since they were suppose to be open not standing outside for an hour wondering whats going on. NO PROFESSIONALISM

Not a very positive experience! Took my son in to get a haircut, one lady said sure talk to the other lady. Went to talk to the other lady and she told there was no one to cut his hair after saying there was. Very bad customer service!!

I drive 4 hours from Kansas to get my hair done by Nikki the owner, I randomly walked in 5 years ago while on vacation. Ive been driving back & forth to her ever since. Nobody else can touch my hair. Love love the atmosphere here with stylists & clients. Ill never go anywhere else

Thank you from turning my hair from a mess to a beautiful braided style. Nicki (the owner) was extremely helpful in choosing a stylist who was capable of producing beautiful corn rows. Although the style became a bit frizzy upon 2nd day, I just added some mouse and small rubber bands to control that issue. My appointment was at 10am. I had no problems whatsoever. The only issue I have is my large cornrows werent braided tight enough from the middle to nape of my neck so the hair has significantly loosened in those areas. I will say that my stylist was attentive to the itching Kanekalon hair can cause, so she added a protectant to prevent itching (Yes, it worked!). I like the atmosphere and the overall professionalism. I wish you had a salon in North Denver, but Ill make the trek back to Aurora when Im ready for my next style. Despite some of the negative reviews otherwise posted, I had a wonderful experience.

I went in for a retwist and now I look like Django. They are incredibly unprofessional. they twisted my hair in different directions after they combed out the hair that was locking. I will never EVER EVER go there again.

I am DEVESTATED!!! This was the worst experience of my life. The OWNER NIKEY BLEACHED MY HAIR AND TONED IT AND COMPLETELY BROKE THE FRONT OF MY HAIR OFF!!!! I HAVE NO HAIR!!! she met me go through the entire process knowing she had broke my hair off and said nothing until the end. She even had me sign a waiver after she had realized she messed up to try to cover herself. She did me down right dirty!!!!! I BEG YOU TO NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE. They should be shut down!!!!! My hair will never recover from this and I had long healthy hair. I am DEVESTATED!!!!

I booked this appointment at Crowning Glory as a first time client & told my natural hair would cost $85, only $10 more than my usual hair salon charges. The manager waits until my hair is 80% done to change the price to $130. The look on my face was priceless!!!! LolMy hair has been natural for over 3 years and Ive NEVER paid over $75 for service. The manager told me that she had a mortgage to pay for so the price would be $130. Her & I then had a nasty verbal altercation in front of staff & clients inside of the salon leading all the way outside to my car. I was furious & embarrassed!!! I went back inside salon & paid $85 to the stylist (even-though my hair was only 80% done) tipped & thanked her for her services. GVR is such a small community & news travels fast. Crowning Glory lost clients & staff! They recently relocated from GVR & had the nerve to contact me about new location & promotion specials......... HahahahaI WILL NEVER GIVE CROWNING GLORY ANOTHER DOLLAR!!!!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN

**EDIT 3/15/19- I am assuming someone deleted my photos. I still have the original photo of my hair before it was ruined since it was a special event. I no longer have the bald edges pic. Here is 4-6 mos and 1 year after the damaging relaxer. Today my hair is SO close to the first pic, thanks to a stylist I found who left Crown and Glory that I was told moved.I have been to so torn to write a review. I would like to in case someone is as thorough as me. I did a lot of research for a new salon that used quality and professional products as well as qualified hair stylists when I moved from Colorado Springs. It was a great experience and everything I was looking for in the beginning. After 2 appointments I was told my hair stylist moved (Micah- amazing!). They assigned me a new person. I did not have a terrible experience, but I will say there was an error that the owner Nikki noticed on her own and corrected. She offered me a free protein treatment and to come in again to have my hair fixed by her. My hair shedded for a bit and went right back to normal. I felt like they truly cared about my hair since I didnt even know anything had happened. I kept coming back, got assigned a new stylist. She was wonderful, and after a few appointments I was told she moved. (Twlya -amazing!). I got assigned a new stylist, I am not sure of her name but she kept trying to convince me to get a sew in. The very next time I came in, I was told she moved. So I am assuming either the owner was difficult to work under or she was very unlucky and got people who moved a lot. I got my hair done by a new stylist, who is a larger, light skinned gal with dreads. She did fantastic! This is the picture a few hours after she did my hair on 8/16/2016. I called to schedule another apt and that lady was booked so they set me up with Jewel 10/22/2016. Nice lady, but if you get her RUN! I felt uncomfortable since she was white and I asked her how long she was doing hair. She assured me and I went on to get my relaxer. Didnt base me until after she put the relaxer in AFTER I complained 9 minutes in it burned really bed all over. She said give it time to neutralize with the base that was just applied after she finished puting the relaxer in. I asked if she could rinse me because it was so bad I wanted to do it myself. I felt bad but my hair was on fire! Nikki walked by and said to stop the process right now. Jewel rinsed it out with just water, but it was still on fire. Nikki put some shampoo, and after about 5 minutes it finally stopped burning. Nikki then gave me a protein treatment. Jewel offered to re relax my hair again in 3-4 weeks since this one didnt take. She sprayed 3-4 spritz of sea breeze on my hair where it burned the most. My scalp felt tender for 3 days. I had scabs on my entire scalp. All over. Some as large as a nickel. My hair was shedding like I had never seen. When I called I was told it was due to a dry Colorado winter, since they stopped the process the relaxer didnt take (that I was asked, and did, pay full price for anyway). Ive been getting relaxers in Colorado for 19 years and have never seen this, but I figured they knew better than me. I went to a new salon the next week and they have had to give me a protein treatment every month since. She told me to never go back and I wont. Every 2-4 weeks I go in and get a professional shampoo style or protein treatment based on how I see my hair shed. I was not able to get another relaxer for 10 weeks to give my hair a chance to get out of the shock it went through. My hair is now very thin and short 3 months later. Im pretty self conscious about it. Again the 1st picture is from 8/16/2016 in a blue dress, by a good stylist from Crown and Glory. The next is today 1/23/2017 (as well as yesterday) because my hair is finally growing back after Jewel. I have posted 4 pictures, 1 good and 3 current. It was much worse before my hair started growing back. I dont recommend going somewhere where they have people in and out. If you find someone you love, get their number in case they leave!

I was charged for a full head when both sides and back were not done 185$ ladies for some Havana twist never going back, dont recommend this place to anyone. Then they tried to charge me a full haircut just to get my sides shaved.
