I have been going to the Aurora Center for a long time. I recommend to everyone. They do it all for you!!! I have the best Dr., Dentist, therapist, social worker I have ever had before. That is a short list, all the staff are great! The people that go there becomes your best friends!!!!! And the food is great!

I would give them a zero if I could. The only positive is the home health nurse Jean and a social worker. People are very rude and they lie. Communication is awful. They claim to be full service for the elderly and are not. If you can go in they are ok but once you are homebound theres very little help for you at all. You can forget about getting any therapies. I would not recommend them to anyone.

My daughter attempted to drop me off at the handicapped drop off area at 1550 s. Potomac at about 1:00 pm today. I am 80 and use a walker. The handicap area was blocked by two Innovage buses . The woman driver of the first bus was standing talking to the other driver who was inside the second bus. I could not access the handicap entry walkway.I confronted the woman outside and she was really snarky, telling me to just go have a NICE day. I said that I certainly would contact Innovage to comment on her behavior. She didn’t expect me to be smart because I’m old. She immediately apologized, jumped in her bus and both buses left the handicapped unloading area.I am sick of elderly people being treated with such disrespect. They were parked in the wrong area and then she was incredibly rude. I told my ophthalmologist about it and he was also angry and thinking about what he needed to do to put a stop to this behavior.

My sisters experience with Innovage has been frustrating and disappointing. Communication between the staff is almost non-existent. Home delivery of supplies/pharmaceuticals is often delayed. She has been scheduled for specialist appointments, but transportation hasnt been scheduled as well. The concept of Innovage is commendable; however, management including coordination within the organization and with the client is horrible.

Covers all medical, provides transport to Dr offices, free meds and games, crafts and free lunch at the center.

Since the change from non profit to coporate entity, the personal care feeling has become feeling like a number and not a person.
