I hate to leave a negative review, but the phone call and a text I got from the woman at the salon, sent me over the edge and really made me angry. I felt compelled to write this review in an honest way.I used this salon years and years ago and stopped going because every stylist gave me a different price for the same hair color/cut. From the reviews on here I am not alone.Recently I booked at above and beyond, but when I got their text to confirm it said they were inside rumor has it. So I tried to call and cancel but they never answer their phone. Finally I left a message at 11 AM on Thursday, to cancel my appointment on Friday.I got a call back from a girl at the salon, rumor has it, and the girl on the other line wanted to know the nature of my cancellation. I told her I couldn’t afford it anymore, And she gave me attitude like “OK” goodbye.The truth was that this place is so unprofessional that I wouldn’t step foot in there for free. Her attitude was so catty I just can’t believe a business owner would let someone do that to a customer or potential customer. Then I got a text that said if I wanted to book again I need a deposit. LOL The text might as well say we don’t want you as a customer. It’s OK though, it just reinforces my original thoughts about this establishment.The owner of this business should be embarrassed of themselves. And should definitely get their staff under control. This is not middle school. I canceled a day ahead of time and if their text messages were useful, you could reply and cancel. But you can’t. In my eyes this place is a joke.So all your rude text messages, get you nowhere. What get you ahead is being polite and treating your customers with respect and understanding that stuff happens. There’s so much competition, hair salons need to stand out. Being kind is free and it’s easy. Look into itI got the best cut and best color at Marilyn Monroe Spa‘s in Bangor. Yep! I am that customer I have money to spend, but I demand good service and quality professionals doing my hair, nd I don’t mind driving to get it. Obviously I had to drive to get it.

Love this place and the staff! They go above and beyond for their clients. I have always had an awesome experience here and wouldnt go anywhere else. They are the only people I trust with my hair!

It was horrible! They told me a price on the phone and charged me $50 more after the services. The color and cut wasn’t what I asked for at all! When I said something, Jocelyn said, “No it is what you asked for”Ummm when I receive a bob hair cut after I ask for a shoulder length, I have the right to say something. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LIKE HAVING NICE HAIR.

Absolutely DESTROYED a girls hair and offered no compensation when her hair fell out in mushy clumps. Mackenzie has moved to a different salon but the refusal of the owner to help is beyond unprofessional. Do not book an appointment here.

Mackenzie is an extremely unprofessional stylist. When she makes your hair fall out she just laughs and doesn’t apologize or try to refund you. She’s also a crazy MLMer and Tries to shill her products onto everyone and people’s hair probably fall out because of monat.🤷🏼‍♀️

Jennifer Tondreau has been my go to for 15+ years and I would be hard pressed to ever replace her. She is creative, talented, honest & experienced.. She cares how her clients feel and works to help find what makes them feel their best.

Just know this place did my friends hair and her hair fell out in multiple clumps days later. Don’t go here check Amanda Marrs Facebook for pictures of proof of what happened.

Mackenzie is the worst, she made my friends hair fall out and didn’t even say sorry. She just laugh at her mom. Told her $90 to dye her hair and then charged her $120 and lied about the products she used. She needs to pay for the damage she has done.

This place needs to be shut down! How DARE you rip off a 14 year old and make her hair fall out! MACKENZIE should NEVER work in the hair business again and you all should be ashamed of yourselves! Absolutely terrible!

I came to Rumour Has It, due to one of my little girls having an incident with a pair of scissors and needing a fix. Of course this is the day the hubby takes the car, so I wouldnt be able to take her to my hairdresser. Her hair was really bad, and I needed a place within walking distance.This place is walking distance from our home, and honestly I’ve been meaning to check it out.They were able to get us in quick and be ever so sweet to my little four year old, and the stuff that comes along with caring for little kids. We’ve been back two more time for my older girls. I thought the prices were reasonable for the services that were acquired; pixie cut, short hair cut for extremely curly hair, and a wash and trim for long hair.I do plan on bring my girls there again and again; hopefully as needed.
