Overall great gym. If you’re looking for a lift heavy weights gym then this is absolutely the place to go. Nothing like planet fitness and has a great atmosphere.

I love Tiger Iron! The hours they are open fit with my schedule and there is a ton of space so that if you time it correctly, it’s not too crowded.

Member for all four years drink undergrad. Best, most humble gym in the country. Miss it every day and always come back whenever I’m in Auburn.

It is what it is. Meaning you wont be harassed as you work out. You wont be babied to get your work in. If you want Tiger Iron to work, you have to make it work. The hours are key and people just do their own thing and you can work out in peace.

If you ever plan on canceling your membership for any reason be ready for a long process and paying more money then you want to. Pretty crowded as well.

It’s a great gym but never clean and the equipment is rusty.

The bad: I’ve found the staff to be unprofessional. they aren’t polite when speaking to you and genuinely never clean the place. There is also some broken machines that needs to be updated.The good: the atmosphere is very good for working out. They have a good CrossFit area, the machines that work are efficient and the other customers seem to take fitness seriously.Over all it’s a decent place to work out as long as you don’t need the staff’s help and aren’t expecting everything to be clean.

Horrible, unsanitary and unsafe conditions. Equipment is in bad condition and hardly looks maintained, the staff is unprofessional and its extremely overpriced for what it is. Not to mention Ive attempted to cancel for months now and pay the cancellation fee but they just keep blowing off my attempts and trying to continue to charge me even though Ive asked them to cancel several times over the phone, in person and in email.

Tiger Iron Gym is a great facility. I highly recommend this facility to those looking for a gym. The staff on hand is awesome; they’re accommodating, dedicated and very knowledgeable in fitness. They’re also military friendly. This is the only facility around that offers month to month which really compliments my busy schedule. I really enjoy the facilities and equipment as they offer damn near everything to accommodate your workout from the traditional style to the modern and CrossFit style workouts. I must say the only amenity I wish they had was a sauna/steam room. Other than that this facility is great! It’s very clean, well maintenanced and offers everything else you need in order to complete and enjoy your workout. As a new member to the area and community, I am very proud to call this place my gym. Thank you!

They have good weights

I’ve been going to Tiger Iron for over a year now. At first I didn’t think I’d like it but after a while. I’ve actually started loving this gym, I love the environment of this gym when I go there I feel like home. As much as I’m into fitness and bodybuilding I think it’s a great gym. I recommend it a lot.Christ Ignanga.

Higher rates than every other gym in town for much older, broken, heavier used equipment. Heard the machines are broken, sticking, or in bad shape. On top of that it’s the only gym I’ve been to where members don’t clean up anything. Mats and weights are all over the place, towels left out, etc. Also wish they had better guest options.

Great equipment, nice staff

Staff is always friendly and willing to help with any questions I might have. They know me by name and always speak. They keep the place clean and equipment picked up. During this pandemic they have had someone who all they do is walk around and wipe down the equipment. I cannot see myself working out anywhere else.

Advertised open for visitors from 10 to 4. Got here at 12 with a friend whos a member. Nobody at the front desk. Called twice and nobody picked up. Why have hours and not even respect them?

The staff is extremely rude, and there is no sense of ethics in this business. I moved away from Auburn unknowingly still leaving the tanning portion of my membership active. When I called to cancel they said Id have to fill out a cancellation form. I told them that I didnt live in Auburn any more and asked if they can email it to me. They said, very rudely, that they would charge $20 more just to send it via email. There is no willingness to work with anyone in any given situation, only them coming up with ways to get more money. Thats horrible business.

I’ve gone to this gym for a little over a month during Covid-19. They say they’re cleaning the gym, but I contracted a fungal rash from the turf. The rags are overused. They need to switch to a one use product or have wayyyy more rags. I quit my membership, but still had to pay because it takes 32 days to process a cancellation. Don’t go here unless you’re extremely careful and clean equipment before and after use. Also, a lot of male members are very obvious about staring and made me extremely uncomfortable. Please notice how most of the good reviews are from men. Just warning you ladies

Since I am an AU student I usually go to the Rec Center (it is free), but whenever it is closed for a Holiday, I go to Tiger Iron. Tiger Iron is legit, while the Rec is very pristine, Tiger Iron is the kind of place that motivates you to lift hard and get stronger. It has all the hard-to-find equipment that a more preppy gym wont have. Love the huge power rack with bumper plates. Plenty of opportunity to get strong here. It has never been overly crowded when I have gone.

Needed a gym for 1 month before I start school at Auburn! Really good rate (only $29 for 1 month OR $19/month if you sign up for an actual membership. The fact that they are open 24/7 is a total plus. And every time that I go, it never feels overcrowded or uncomfortable. Quality gym! Employees are nice too :-)

Great staff, better equipment

First of all those complaining are off base. The place is cleaned top to bottom every other day. The staff? When they are there during business hours they are all great! 24/7 access great equipment and great price plus good supplement selection...cant beat it!

Used to workout all the time at the women’s tiger iron until they closed it and brought all the machines to this one. Been working out here for 3 years and never had a problem until they expanded the gym and a bunch of random people come here now. Past few weeks I’ve been watched by older men the whole time during my workout, and can’t even wear comfortable clothes(because it’s always burning up inside) so I’m forced to either go at odd times of the day wearing the most uncomfortable gym clothes to avoid being creeped on. Today, not even a garbage bag would have stop the old creepy man from watching my whole workout, no matter where I moved and hid. If you’re a women and just want to workout in peace, I would not suggest this gym. Really frustrated and sad.

Great gym. I travel for work and this is my go to gym always when I’m in town. The guest/day passes are extremely cheap!! Best gym. I wish we had one in Michigan.

2 big things. 1) 247. Always. No exceptions. 2) theres always a vote on the where the club fee is used and you see it immediately.Equipment is always fixed immediately. A wide enough variety of equipment to appease whatever area of fitness you are into.

Excellent gym. Equipment well maintained, clean, and anytime access. Cant say enough good about the gym. The clientele however suck. Members will not clean up after themselves and leave equipment strewn around. The staff work hard to clean up and I feel sorry for them but I think its a statement between the staff and lazy few who are inconsiderate.

Update: Due to a health condition, I was unable to stand going to this lovely gym any longer as my life stress increased. Its really loud there sometimes, and people do drop their weights.I was looking forward to going back eventually, when my gym payment information was stolen mid-mental breakdown. The gym demanded payment with increasing frequency and amount and it felt really invasive at the time, though understandable for their business.Im sad that this gym is no longer a good environment for me, and disappointed in their management of this business area, when the staff have focused on creating a good environment for weight trainers.The staff is super friendly and laid back. Theres a large assortment of equipment and spacious floor plan that will accommodate Crossfit, body building, weightlifting, powerlifting, and Ive seen some strongman equipment, like log press there as well.I like that they seem to always be looking to expand or improve to make the experience there better, and its awesome to support a local business and not have to compromise. Tiger Iron is way better than any chain gym Ive been to. While its equipment might not be as shiny and polished as the Universitys Rec Center, I think they make up for it with the culture. In addition to their great staff, I feel like Im training with grit at a gym with character.As a women, Ive never felt creeped on there. Members usually mind their own business, but Ive had a few tell me that my bench is strong or something like that. All in all, Tiger Iron is a gem of a gym.

Pretty sweet deal, $20 a month for 24/hr access with no contract. i think they could clean up the look and feel of the inside a bit though, especially the back area closer to the changing rooms.

Well I work out here I get good customer service and I have help some people who wanted to join by letting them come in and try it out cause know one was here to service them and they would come back when the works are here and get a membership so it has been amazing being here the members are awesome.
