I went in for knee pain. Dr Regan was great. He had an assistant he was training. He made sure I was comfortable. And did exrays. Found I had to replace cartilage in knee. Will have weight loss surgery first then knee surgery. It will be better for recovery.

Looks like my entire review got deleted. This place is a nightmare. I had surgery on 6/2/21, I have been ghosted by my doctor numerous times. He has filled out my workers comp paperwork the wrong way multitudes of times causing my injury to not heal. When I call, he is never there. His assistant is the most rude.I was there again yesterday and because they did not write the limits clear enough, I am being put back to workthe wrong way AGAIN. If you wish to keep your limbs, do not go to this place. I regret ever taking their word that he was a great doctor and a trauma orthropaed they lied. They dont care about you.worst part is, now, no other doctor will touch me because I had surgery. I am being referred back to the doctor that doesnt care. I am now searching out of state.Stay away from this place!!!Update 10/21/21. I am still fighting them, no other doctors will see me because I had a botched surgery with this place. My doctor that is either sick or on vacation everytime i have an appt or his back up who screamed at me as if I were a child. Stay away.. I am making a formal complaint against this place to the maine licensing board. I will make sure to post this review everywhere I canto prevent this from happening to anyone else. Stay away from Dr. Carlson and dr. Fallon!!!

Appointment for knee pain causing difficulty walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, lying down, climbing stairs, etc. Had missed partial week of work recently due to extreme pain and immobility. August 10, I limped into waiting area and was called into the exam area within 15 minutes of my appointment time. When doctor arrived and examined my knee, a tentative diagnosis was made, but MRI was needed to confirm. Doctor mentioned that insurance could require physical therapy before approving an MRI, so he told me, Sit tight while I go grab that, and left me while he printed off some exercises. I never saw the doctor again. His assistant returned with ten or so pages of exercises that began with, You should warm up... by walking or riding a bicycle for ten minutes before these exercises. I mentioned that I was in too much pain, and wouldnt be able to do the warm-up, let alone the exercises. Assistant reply: Just do what you can. I asked if I should be doing those movements (hold my foot behind my back, half-squats, hamstring curls, leg extensions, etc.) with this knee problem. Assistant reply: Youre all set! I said I thought I would be able to ask the doctor more questions, since I hadnt even gotten a chance to ask anything. She asked, Like what? I mentioned that I had missed work, and wanted to know if I should be on restricted duty. Wanted to know if I should be elevating, immobilizing, icing, heating my knee. She repeated: No, youre all set. Lets get your MRI set up.I advised that I have had extensive problems with anything at the CMMC campus, including imaging, and asked for a referral to St. Marys for imaging. I was assured that my MRI order was sent to St. Marys. I limped back to my car and drove home. That evening, I received two calls from the CMMC imaging scheduling center. The following day I received another call from them. I let them know it was a mistake each time, and that I was supposed to be going to St. Marys. I called CMHC Ortho and had them confirm that the order was for St. Marys, which they did. Over the next week, I received two more calls from CMMC trying to schedule my MRI. I then received a confirmation in the mail from my insurance provider that the MRI was approved. I contacted St. Marys to schedule, and they verified they never received an order for my MRI. I contacted CMHC Ortho and the very helpful person who answered said that they saw only a note on the CMMC imaging order that said St. Marys and no indication of anything being sent to them. She included a note on my file to send the order to the appropriate provider.Yesterday, I received two more calls from the CMMC imaging scheduling center, who confirmed they were calling because of a new MRI order that had been sent to them. I contacted CMHC Ortho and reached another helpful associate/nurse who confirmed there was no order to St. Marys on my file. She updated my record to indicate that St. Marys be faxed the order, and that I receive a follow-up call when that was done. I received a call a few hours later from the doctors assistant and was told that there was a mix-up, that the Dr. is away, and all communications are by email, so these things happen. The order was finally sent to St. Marys, and I should be able to self-schedule my MRI in the morning.Recap: Waited for 75 days for an exam of my painful knee, which had caused me to miss work and reduce activity all summer. My actual exam took less than three minutes, and the doctor flitted away as soon as he possibly could, leaving me with Ms. youre all set to complete my treatment. I never was able to ask my doctor any follow-up questions, like how to take care of my knee, request crutches, etc. I waited 13 days for the provider to send my imaging order to the correct location and received a total of six calls from the wrong scheduling center. If possible, you should stay away from the ER or anything else at CMMC, CMH, CMFP and anything else operating under Central Maine Health. Your care is not the priority there. My experience is not an outlier.

Waited on hold for 15 minutes, twice, just to get transferred to voicemail. If I wanted to play phone tag I would have left a message at the beginning of my lunch break. This was after I saw a doctor who was more interested in being a comedian than providing medical care. He thought because I’ve been dealing with knee pain for a year and a half that I could wait 2 more months to see what happens. I was calling back to see if I could get an appointment with someone else.Plus side, the billing office (different option on the phone) had no record of the bill they sent me, so I couldn’t pay it.

I called one week ago, asking to have a Return to Work order faxed to my job so I can resume working, I was assured it would be faxed over the day I called, and here we are one week later, and it still hasnt been done. The only good thing about this place is Doctor Clark, and the fact that hes a wonderful surgeon. Those answering phone calls seem like they could care less about getting people the care they need. Ive been on hold for over an hour and Im caller number 1. Absolutely ridiculous. You people are keeping me from working.

I called one week ago asking for a call back regarding me returning to work after surgery. No return calls, I have left 2 more messages asking for a call back, nothing. I am now on hold for 45 minutes waiting to speak to a real person. Do real people even work there. Worst office to get in touch with. I work at a doctors office and all calls are answered within minutes and returned by the next day. Not impressed.

Just called to make an appointment. On hold for 31 minutes and got a voicemail saying she wasnt at her desk and to leave a message. I did but I cant imagine waiting that long every time I need to talk to someone. Just doesnt give a good first impression. Im sure they dont need new patients anyway.I got a response to my message with asking me to call the same number as before same option. Great I thought. I got the same results. I did not leave a message this time. I will suffer in silence and when I cant hopefully my Savior will take me away. This business has no business trying to help people. They are however very good at causing frustration.

Unprofessional, Alarming, Careless are just a few words I describe of Dr McLachlan. The first two visits “seemed” okay until the day before I discussed the injection procedure I was going in for.Not only did I express concerns during the first two visits regarding specific steroid meds but their allergic reactions. Still couldn’t be provided an understandable response.I asked the nurse if I could learn what the med actually is? Not only was the Med in the same family of a steroid I’m allergic too, the combination is of two medications that are once again on my allergy list. However, worse as these two meds cause severely harmful effects such stop breathing, tongue swelling and more.I feel as though this Dr did not do his due diligence reviewing my chart properly and was going to do whatever he wanted regardless of any effects on my health. Needless to say, I expressed to the nurse I am uncomfortable with him furthering my care and that I would never recommend him to anyone! Personally if he’s doing this to me then who else is he doing this too? It’s alarming and I’ve considered reporting him to air on the side of caution for others who are being treated the same. 10/10 will NEVER recommend this Dr!

If you have an appointment with Dr. David Brown, I feel sorry for you. I waiting nearly 2 hours to see him and when I finally did, he told me nothing I didnt already know. I only saw him for 5-8 minutes, and half of that time he was talking on his personal phone. He was very unprofessional and this was a complete waste of time. Nothing he said couldnt have been said on a quick phone call. I learned more about how to take care of my injury from my friends than I did from this orthopedic specialist.

Had elbow surgery...was better off with the pain.... the Anesthesiologist was rude and didnt have a good feeling about him. He was rude and upset he couldnt be a real surgeon. My doctor was good.. when I woke up the ace bandage was covered in plaster from the splint. I called for swelling and was told to rewrap the ace 24hrs post op. When I did it was not enough to rewrap and everything was covered in plaster it was a mess. The nurse then told me she didnt know what to tell me but the doctor would call me back tomorrow. So I have cotton sticking out everywhere. They are so cheap they cant even use more then 2 ace bandages to wrap an entire arm that is twice its normal size...I will only be going to Maine med after this mess.the surgery they did on my other shoulder was the best from start to finish.

I have been very impressed in the last 18 months with central Maine orthopedics.the staff are absolutely fantastic and doctor Clark is the reason I am pain free of many spinal issues today, including a rod in my neck that now gives me more range of motion and free of pain than I have had in 42 years, he truly is a gifted surgeon, I have always been treated with decency and respect by the entire staff. I am finally free of over 3 years worth of horrible, debilitating sciatic nerve pain and it is all thanks to doctor Clark

I saw Dr. Clark twice. Once a year ago and just the other day. I have a herniated disc and a bulging disc and any physical activity causes my back to spasm and causes pain. Also experience siatica and incontinence because of this. Dr. Didnt bother to ask me any questions about my symptoms, didnt seem to have have any compassion. Simply said my back will never heal as long as I smoke and refused surgery. He just seemed bothered.

We drove an hour just to see doctor Michael F. Regan, MD We waited a month or more for the appointment, In the visit he told my girlfriend there is nothing he can do to help with her scoliosis, she is in pain, with muscle spasms, and needs help from a doctor, we had high hopes that he could at least help her somehow, but it was a complete waste of time, effort, money, and gas, to see doctor Regan. He was not even the slightest bit helpful. A doctor is supposed to HELP people. In my opinion he is a complete scam. He looked at her back for about 30 seconds, and said she will be just fine, even though she is in excruciating pain sometimes. The arrogant condescending personality just says it all. Dont bother going to doctor Regan. He will not help you, he will just leach your insurance company for money for his rich paychecks.

Not impressed on how long it takes a Dr. To fill out their Dr. Notes from a visit from 14 days ago. I cannot get my short term disability extended till this is done. And in the meantime I have no check coming in to pay my bills. And have no other income for my family. :( Dr. Brown may be a good surgeon but this is very stressful for me and I cannot focus on getting better with no money coming in to buy food, pay bills, etc. I have contacted the office everyday since my appointment on June 21St and told repeatedly that they will let Dr. Brown know that the notes need to be completed and it is holding up me from getting a paycheck. To me there is no concern with getting this done. Good Dr. To me is the follow through with all aspects of patient care including paperwork. I need to get paid to survive or need him to sign off on me going back to work immediately.

My husband had been going there a for a while. My husband has a bulging disk and siatica.. he is always in severe pain and we have seen doctors at this office. The staff don’t communicate well the doctors come in don’t look at you and are in the office for literally 3 minutes and leave the room. Act like what your saying doesn’t matter! It’s very concerning coming from a medical background seeing how their behavior is as doctors who are suppose to be about compassion, and to listen to your patient! We were made to feel as though because my husband said he just wants to be comfortable.. interupted my husband by saying oh we don’t give out narcotics when that not even what my husband meant! He was quick and very cold! Quick to judge. Another doctor dr. Reagan said he could climb a mountain be in pain but wouldn’t hurt him. Are you kidding me what kind of bed side manner is that for one, and two we pay for their service so why are the doctors hurrying up! My husbands appointment was 12:30 and we were out at 1255 we saw the doctor for a total of 5 minutes! Most of it was with a medical assistant and sitting in the room waiting while they walked in and out. They never took vital signs and the Doctor never even looked at us. I called the clinical manager twice and she never called me back! This is wrong and will be spread to all my friends and will be reported...
