Actually, this is Marty, Debs husband. At 71, I have been to my share of dentists. Dr. Markham is truly in a class by herself. Imagine, if you can, a dancer, every movement exact, every movement precise, every movement focused, consciousness and energy whirling all about you. Literally a dental ballet. That is Dr. Markham... I was quite literally stunned by her grace and laser like focus. Painless, kind, and gentle, as his her entire staff. I actually enjoyed my entire experience because it was so filled with consciousness and caring. She is definitely my dentist (she was recommended by my wife who holds her in the same regard) from now on. Wish I could giver her 10 stars!

I have horrible dental anxiety, & Dr. Markham along with her team do their most to help me feel comfortable! Being able to have an anti anxiety medication before I go has helped immensely. I would HIGHLY recommend Maidu Dental if you are looking for a caring & supportive team to work with you:)

I had my cleaning done with Quin and she is amazing. Not only was she gentle but very thorough. I generally am relaxed at the dentist, but I could have fallen asleep in the chair! The whole office vibe is positive and fun. Dr. Markham and her team are excellent. Makes my trips there much more enjoyable. Looking forward to my next cleaning!

OK so I feel like I had been living in the dark ages with my previous dentist. Couldn’t be happier that I’ve moved over to Maidu dental. Just got a crown finished in one day. No temporary that had to be removed in two weeks and replaced. The staff and the doctor are amazing. Kudos to everyone, actually looking forward to going to the dentist from now on. State of the art equipment combined with exceptional personal service makes it almost fun.

Was the best dental service Ive had in years! I have severe anxiety & trust issues. I was so relieved to find an AMAZING dentist who was not only kind & capable, but extremely thorough & meticulous while putting me at ease & explaining the process as we went along. I love all the staff and my dentist at Maidu Dental. From the beginning of me transferring to a dental office closer to my home in Auburn, Maidu Dental staff have made me feel very confident in my choice. I needed to have some serious procedures done, including anesthesia, the staff and dentist is gentle and caring. Whenever I call with concerns they are friendly and quick to respond to my call. I recommend this dental office! In fact, I will bringing my children here as well.

I had hopes when I came to this dentist , we moved to the area 2 years ago , this review is very genuine and I wish I didnt have to write it.. I had come here for cleaning after many unnecessary x-rays they charged me about $260 out of pocket for cleaning without letting me know ahead of time that my insurance wasnt going to cover a lot. We had just changed insurance few months prior so we didnt know, it was our first time being at the dentist since the change . They failed to communicate that. The whole thing costed about $340 my insurance covered about $80 anyways thats not even the worse part! They also told me I needed 9 crowns and 3 filling so it would cost me about 15k, anyone who I was telling this to was shocked , couldnt believe it. So we decided to go to the bay area to my old dentist for second opinion. My dentist said my teeth need some work but they are stable , there has been no change since 2012 and she doesnt think any of the stuff this dentist recommending is necessarily, she was also very surprised I paid so much for a cleaning. Their office only charge under $200 for both cleaning and exam. After this experience I canceled my husband appointment with them, we both decided to travel twice a year to bay area for cleaning just to see our old dentist. Please be aware that this office only wants your money.

My experience at Maidu Dental was amazing. The staff was very welcoming and made sure to take precautions due to covid. You have to wear a mask inside of the office, as well as get your temperature taken, given hand sanitizer, and fill out a covid screening questionnaire. All in all, I definitely recommend coming here. Dental work is proficient as well as the patient services.

Dr. Markham and her team are very professional. I had a cleaning and filling. The procedure was painless and my teeth have never felt so clean! I found my new dental home!

She did 5 crowns, 4 had to be root-canaled by a specialist. I was in office for 8 hrs with nitrous and novacaine; after the first prep day (for the crowns) I blacked out in my car on my way home - at home, I lost consciousness and ended up in an ambulance and at the ER: anesthetic toxicity! - She caused permanent facial damage, leaving me with severe pain on both sides of my face. She never finished polishing the crowns, didnt correct the bite (the specialist ended up doing that) after going in several times because of pain - she said it would all go away. It didnt. I also paid for a mockup that was never finished... I trusted her to resolve the pain in my mouth. I will regret that forever. Dont be swayed by her soft voice. Dont be swayed by their recommendations. Dont go!! She cost us over 17,000.

I came in to get a wisdom tooth pulled, and I was a nervous wreck. From the get go they answered any questions/concerns I had and were super knowledgeable and happy to help. I requested to be sedated and was given nitrous, which helped take the edge off. I was also given headphones so I could listen to music. During the actual procedure, Dr. Markham made sure I was comfortable and was very friendly and professional. She made extra sure I was properly numbed, and made the whole procedure go smooth, painless, and quick. I was actually shocked at how quick and painless the whole thing was due to bad experiences at other dentists in the past. Afterwards, they discussed post-op care and continued to answer any questions or concerns I had. Overall, the whole experience really showed how kind and professional Dr. Markham and the whole Maidu dental staff are. I’ll never go to any other dentist again. Thank you Maidu Dental!

Switching to this dentist was a good idea. Everyone was kind and even asked if I needed a blanket because it gets a little cold. They let me get x-rays, other photos, and 4 cavities filled in one day by my request. It was a good experience and they gave me options to improve my smile. It was a great environment with nice people.

I recently had several extended visits with Dr. Luminita Markham. I seldom write reviews but this one deserves the sincere effort which will be applied to it.Raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, my experience with the solo dentist available for 30 square miles, was so traumatic that now at 71 years of age I have trembled at the word “dentist”.Years of procrastination insured my visits with Dr. Markham would be prolonged. Ten cavities to be more precise.The incredible caring culture of her office was unbelievable. This place is state of the art, one of the most advanced dental facilities I have ever seen. I was never in any pain I was always informed About the procedures, and I was watching a movie! What!Dr. Markham is the orthodontist that orchestrates this wonderful technological miracle With Her old world charm, right in front of your eyes. I received two crowns and a filling in the matter of a couple of hours all while being pampered by Angels. Her assistants are both lovely and talented and concerned only about you And your comfort. All the while educating you about instruments that you may, never have seen before.The crowns were made right there in the facility and when I walked out the door Everything was complete no return necessary. I find that truly amazing and I love my new crowns that were fitted perfectly. My bite is better than ever before and at age 67 that’s still quite important.I’m very happy to recommend Maidu Dental and realize I have found my new home for dental care.Truly thank you, Dr Markham and your wonderful staff of angles. Dr Luminita is amazing!! I have never had a provider care so much. She called a day after getting a crown to check sensitivity, which there was NONE!! The staff is amazing as well. Michelle and Alexis walked me through the procedure and were very kind and patient. Everyone there is amazing!!

If youre looking for a fantastic dentist, go to Maidu Dental. Im new to the area and needed to find a new provider. On top of that, I needed extensive dental work including two tooth extractions. Tender is not a word often used with regards to dentists (ouch) but I can truly say that I feel genuinely cared for by Dr. Markham and her staff. From scheduling to follow-up check-ins after extraction, Im not just a number. Im a valued patient. So happy to have found them!

I was very disappointed with this dentist. They were very unclear and almost shady about what would be covered with my health insurance. When I called I made it very clear that I found them through my network and wanted to make sure I was covered.They made me put a deposit prior to the appointment, then when I showed up I found out that I wasnt going to be covered! I had made the appointment a month before, but they chose to wait until that morning to tell me. Because I was already there and knew I wouldnt get my deposit back I went along with it because I really needed to get my teeth cleaned. I found out halfway through the appointment that they werent even going to clean my teeth. It was an introductory visit where they took about a million pictures of my teeth and then tried to upsell me on whitening and a gum graft (which my next dentist did not recommend btw).Turns out that they came up in my health insurance because of the orthodontist who was in network and had the same last name. $300 dollars later and I didnt even get my teeth cleaned! To top things off, when I did get my teeth cleaned (at a different provider), my insurance wouldnt cover that either because it was within 6 months of the previous appointment.I rarely write bad reviews, but I felt it was necessary. I felt very taken advantage of with this dentist and I would not recommend.

My wife and I have been with Maidu dental for the last five or so years. Dr. Markham is awesome as are the rest of the staff. My two young kids go here as well and have no real fear of the dentist that I had as a child. The office is clean and professional and they take great care of their patients all around. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone in and around the Auburn area.

Dr. Luminita Markham is literally The Best Dentist in Auburn, CA, maybe northern California. She is so friendly, professional, extremely competent and treats everyone like family. Not only that, her staff is just as friendly and completely competent. I would highly recommend her to my dearest friends and family.

I walked into Dr Markhams office, frightened and overwhelmed. My cap on a molar had fallen out of my mouth that day and i knew there was not enough tooth left to put the cap back on.Dr. Markham made me and my mental well being the priority. She was able to install a titanium post in order to attach a new cap and avoid a very costly optional procedure. She has the equipment and staff in her office to do everything within 1 visit.I walked in an emotional cripple with a missing molar. I walked out calm and secure with all my teeth. It was a transformative few hours. Dr Markhams expertise and her competent staff sincerely want to be of service to their clients.I could not give a higher recommendation.

Impressive quality of service. My wife was an RDA for 20 years and won’t let just anyone touch our teeth. My son had ground his teeth flat and they were replaced with beautiful crowns. My wife needed work and she was pleased with the teamwork and quality work. I lost a crown and part of a neighboring tooth. State of the art. They practice evidence driven dentistry. They showed me close up pictures of the problems. I walked out with two new crowns that fit perfectly. The teamwork is beautiful to watch and their communication is flawless and uplifting. I can highly recommend Maidu Dental. My sister and her husband just moved to Roseville. We will be referring them in the near future.

The whole staff is very nice!(: I had a cleaning and some old fillings redone. The lady who helped me made sure everything felt right when she was done and made adjustments as needed. Leaving with a clean smile, new toothbrush, and some floss 🥳

I came in because another dentist had told me I needed to have 12 fillings, after new x rays at Maidu I only needed about half that. The nun I g process was easy and painless, the dental team did a great job at keeping me comfortable for such a long visit. I was distracted by Netflix which was provided and they even fixed a broken tooth I had since I was very young. They are an amazing staff who you can tell genuinely cares about their patients and the work they do on your teeth. If you have any dental anxiety I highly recommend this office.

I never thought there was such a thing as loving your dentist office, but there is! Maidu Dental uses all the latest technologies to make your visit as easy and pain-free as possible. Their shot gun is way less painful than traditional shots. They set you up to watch Netflix while your fillings and other long procedures are happening. They are always up-front about costs, and never try to pressure you into additional procedures (but always let you know whats available). I tell all my friends to go here!

I had an amazing dentist before I moved to Auburn and I was worried that no dentist would ever compare. Dr. Markham and her staff proved me wrong -- they are absolutely amazing! Not only is the office pristine, but every tool is state-of-the-art. Dr. Markham has spared no expense in the technology. I had fillings done today and the anesthetic was administered with a computerized syringe that allowed for a slow, controlled injection. It didnt hurt at all and it wore off much faster than usual after the procedure. This is one of many examples. Tina, my dental hygienist, is amazing. She uses a sonic scalar and is gentle yet meticulous. The staff is so welcoming, and they think of everything -- from asking you if you want to watch Netflix while you wait for a procedure, to putting chap stick on your lips during a procedure, or asking you if you want a warm blanket, putting phone chargers in the waiting room... the list goes on and on. The kindness, warmth, professionalism, expertise and extreme organization make this a top-notch establishment. Id highly recommend Maidu Dental.

My initial appointment and consultation was very impressive. Top of the line, state of the Art equipment and office. Staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. They explained everything. I was given a complete description of everything that was going on with my teeth and gums, then given several option on how to proceed. A complete estimate of cost was then supplied for further decision making. In addition, they had already checked with my insurance to give me accurate pricing. I havent had the work done yet so cant attest to that, but am expecting a good experience. This was the most thorough dental exam I have ever had.

Long overdue but here it is: This place is a fantastic dentistry. Everything from the services they offer to peddle away time to the knowledge of each employee is top notch. The lead dentist (whos name escapes me at the moment) is funny, bubbly and extremely well trained, and leads her staff of dedicated and just plain awesome individuals wonderfully. If they are covered by your insurance, then definitely go. A dentist appointment has never been this fun, painless, or smooth before.

Awesome experience! I do not like going to the dentist. My experience was incredible. I was there three hours and I felt like I was in a spa. I watched Netflix, had a nice blanket, a cup of coffee and was asked continually if I was comfortable. I have had other dentists make comments that I have had some really nice dental work done and asked where I went. That is a true complement to her work!

Dr. Luminita Markham is so caring and was interested in my needs and the direction I wanted to go with my dental care. I had some ancient fillings replaced and some reconstruction today. I was just in for one of my final orthodontist appointments and I have to say that Dr. David Markham is an awesome orthodontist. I am a very picky patient and want really good results and he delivers. He is very meticulous himself. He also has a great personality and it is fun to hear him and his staff joking around. I also want to say that he has an above average staff. I love everyone but especially Misha, she is gentle and competent and great to chat with.

Maidu dental is great place to head.I drive 40 minutes to use them. The staff are really good and kind. They do anything to help you get better.

Oh my gosh what a pleasant surprise it was to find a dental practice just about in my back yard. This place is just awesome, the facility, the doctor, the staff are all top notch. Had a deep cleaning and tooth removal done, I was worried, as you might expect, seeing a new dentist. I cannot say enough positive comments about this practice.

Cant believe I suffered for so long with my prior dentist! I have had several dental procedures (crown, replaced old fillings, and wisdom teeth removal) in the last 6 months. I went originally for a second opinion on the wisdom teeth, but after meeting Dr. Markham and her entire team, I decided this was the dental office for me. I cant say enough about how they care for their patients, ensuring comfort (i.e., no pain!) throughout the procedures. If you are looking for a dentist and office where you have complete trust, this is the place!

The place is almost like heaven. Dr. Markham and her staff are awesome. They all make great recommendations and theyre very compassionate when it comes to their patients having a beautiful smile. I get major anxiety when it comes to doctors and dentists. Like the sweating, shaking, nightmares a week before, kind of anxiety. I hate getting scolded. I hate feeling like a loser for having a cavity. Doctor Markham and every single lady that works in her office, is so incredibly sweet, that for the first time in my life I’m not anxious before my appointment. A little nervous, but NOTHING like before.My last visit, I happened to need some fillings. But no one scolded me, no one made me feel like a candy loving loser, it was just “okay, when would you like some fillings?” I wasn’t even embarrassed! And EVERYTHING embarrasses me!So if you are the type of person who avoids the dentist because you don’t want to have a bad day, please believe me, Doctor Markham should be your dentist. You won’t even feel the desire to call and cancel your appointment the week before. Because, there’s nothing to dread.
