Ive used them for years. Feel confident leaving my fur babies with them but recently seems like their prices went up. Overall a good experience and great place but man was I shocked after a 7 day stay.

We really love Bark Avenue Pet Resort. We take our dog to daycare and for boarding. The staff is very friendly, the rates are great, and our dog loves it. He seems to get a lot of playtime because he is exhausted each evening and can’t wait to go back the each time. I like that they post photos to social media so I can see him playing from time to time.

Ownership changed and no notice given. Increased prices on day care and boarding, but changed hours.Who are you? Yes the rest of staff is still the same, thank goodness. I still need to know who is responsible for my joy.. My fur baby is family and what Verna and just did was 100% unprofessional. He was coming to Bark Avenue for 3 years. Thanks for nothing.

This resort is AMAZING! I brought my Dog on Sunday for the week and truly appreciate the care they are showing him. He was in a hotel down the road for 3 hours and we knew immediately that this would not be a good fit for him. I called desperately EVERY kennel within 20 miles and NO one would consider due to Covid. This owner was so gracious and understanding of my immediate need and without hesitation welcomed Charley to chill with all the others in her care and of course practicing Covid protocol at the same time.I will start traveling 2 weeks of each month moving forward and am so blessed to have found this home away from home for Charley!

I had to board my dog “Reggie Bush” last minute on my birthday vacation getaway In Atlanta doing some research I came across Bark Avenue Pet Resort and decided to give them a call and book my boarding for my fur baby. The lady at the front office was very sweet! My complaint is they DON’T ANSWER the phone I called over and over finally someone answered the phone before CLOSING and the front entrance is not secured during business hours anyone could walk in the business before anyone comes to the front.

Me and my dogs are always welcomed. Absolutely love the environment love everything about it. There is nowhere else I would take my dogs to.

I hate to be that person but my dogs went in to Bark Avenue pet resort fully vaccinated with a clean bill of health but I noticed when I picked them up and days after they both have snotty, runny little noses so we will be taking a trip to the vet to see what infection or virus they got during their visit to this place. 😡

We take our two dogs here for boarding and daycare. They are always excited to go and are well taken care of. The best part is that we have a somewhat challenging pit rescue and they know exactly how to manage him and I never have to worry.

I can’t say enough good things!! Just picked up my 7ish month old from a couple nights of boarding and I can tell she had a blast!! She was barely happy to see me! Ha! They upload daily pictures to Instagram so you can see your pup playing and they know each dog by heart! I will be a lifelong customer!!

Just moved to GA and was looking for a place to board my dogs for a weekend while I left town. Unfortunately I had not planned ahead and was looking to book a reservation on pretty short notice (called to book on Tuesday for the upcoming Fri-Mon).I saw that Bark Avenue had some great reviews and gave them a call to see if they were able to take my 2 dogs in. The people I spoke with on the phone were very friendly, understanding, and let me know what I needed to do in order to get my dogs all set up, booked, and ready for their stay.On Friday morning I drove up to drop off my dogs along with their beds, food, toys, etc and was greeted by the friendly staff that took my dogs and their things right away. Since I had never used this place before, I called on Saturday afternoon to check in on my pups and see how their visit was going.The staff gave me some information on how they were doing, how they had interacted with the dogs there, if they had eaten their food, how they were doing in their kennels, etc. I loved that they knew and remember my dogs names even just by telling me my first name. They kept me in the loop and were great.Finally, Monday had arrived and I knew that I would be getting into town late because of some flight delays. Unfortunately by the time I would get my car from the airport and drive to Bark Ave. they would have closed for the day and thus, I would’ve had to pay an extra night’s fee. This was okay, since my flight had gotten delayed and I understood that rules are rules.I had called Bark Ave. to inform them that even though they closed at 7 I wouldn’t be able to make it until 7:15. The manager said not to worry — she would stay the extra 15 minutes to make sure I got my pups home, as she knows if she was in my situation, she would want to see her dogs after a long weekend traveling.She did NOT have to extend that courtesy to me,. As a first time customer, I was incredibly thankful and appreciative of the service, friendliness, and time they put into ensuring that myself and my dogs had a positive experience.Next time I’m leaving town and cannot take my dogs, I will 100% be back at Bark Avenue.

Butler goes once a week to help with her boxerness (shes a high strung girl) They take very good care of her and she always loses her mind when we pull into the parking lot. She loves it there.

Wow! We love Bark Avenue and how well they treat our very hyper 6 year old doggy Riley Dobby. They always have something specific to say about her stay which is super helpful/nice. She seems to like going there which a HUGE plus! We drive 45 minutes to Bark Avenue after trying MULTIPLE other places to board closer to home. It’s definitely worth the drive to know she is in good hands.

We love this place. Even though we only come maybe twice a year, they always remember our dogs. One of ours has pretty severe separation anxiety and we struggled to find a boarder he would like. He enjoyed his stay here so much we havent looked for anywhere else for him or his sister. Pretty convenient location, not too far off the highway at an exit that isnt crazy crazy busy.

We love Bark Avenue. We have been using Bark Avenue for about 4 or 5 years now, and it has always been a good experience there. The owner and the stuff are super nice. They know what they are doing. The facility is very clean and open. My dog is getting old (12 in July) and they treat her like a queen. I love that, and it gives us peace of mind when we are out of town.

I have been taking my dog here since I first adopted him and I would never take him anywhere else. They are so good with him and love him like their own. Nicki and the staff are amazing and are so good at what they do. Such a great place, I definitely recommend it!

I boarded my two dogs at Bark Avenue for about two years when I was living in Atlanta (from 2015 to 2017), and after I have moved back to middle GA, on some occasions I drove to Atlanta with my dogs to board them there again when I needed a place for them to stay (in 2017 and 2018).I never had an issue with my pups being hurt during the almost four years I boarded my dogs with them. I am an extreme anxious and worried pet mom and I didnt have to worry about leaving my pups under their care. My pups got to know Nikki who was readily recognized by them once we got there. They always followed my instructions when they were boarded when it concerned medication, feeding and when one of my dogs needed attention one time I boarded him with a limping paw because he got hurt in another facility with ground made of pebbles.I was always concerned for my second dog because he isnt social like the first one, and I didnt want him to be aggressive or provoked towards other campers, and Nikki always gave me feedback that he was fine around other dogs in my absence and very sweet. I understand they keep the play groups very small which minimizes crowding and potentially unwanted mishaps.I am out of GA now and have to board them for the first time for 4 days where am living, and I honestly wish they were within driving distance so I wouldnt have to experiment with their safety in a new place here where I currently have no idea how its going to be.So thank you for the time you cared for them when I needed to travel and for keeping their physical integrity and well being. That was one less thing for me to worry about. I hope I find a trustworthy practice where I am currently living but unfortunately I have to experiment it in a new place next week and I just hope they wont get hurt and that the new place will put their well being and safety first.

If you think of your pet as your fur baby this is DEFINITELY not the place for you! As soon as I stepped outside of my car to drop my dog Bella off, the barking I heard from outside the building was deafening. Not to mention this location in all seriousness is an abandoned warehouse that looks like a prison. I almost thought about cancelling the reservation all together before even taking a step inside, but the terrible experience does not end there. When it came time to pick up Bella, an employee had handed us over the wrong dog named Belle and insisted it was the right dog (crazy much?). At first I understood that Bella is a very common name but then it took them about 15 mins in the back to locate her which made me very worried. Even with that major mess up, I decided to give Bark Avenue another chance and booked Bella to stay over Thanksgiving. Because of Bark Avenues lack of organization, they messed up the dates we booked even after clearly confirming the correct dates in a sad excuse for a confirmation email. So without notifying us, they gave up our reservation a day before Thanksgiving...a simple call would have fixed all of this. My husband and I remained calm talking to the employees trying to think of a resolution but they were very short, rude, and completely unapologetic. At the very least they could of owned up to their mistake and apologized! Because all other boarding places were all booked up, we had miss out on seeing my husbands side of the family at a beach rental in Myrtle Beach which was very very upsetting.

Our pup Samwise appeared to have had a great time there while we were out of town for 2 and a half weeks. Hes a reactive dog, so hard to find a place where he doesnt need to be around others but doesnt cost a fortune. This place was lovely and affordable. I only wish they had been able to send more pictures (just 2 during our trip), but it was over thanksgiving so Im sure they were busy. Hell be back soon over Christmas!

My family and I are upset with the professionalism of Bark Avenue. I was notified one day before my family vacation (which was booked 3 months in advance) that my pet will not be able to board at the facility due to an incident that happened during a previous visit. We were surprised when we were notified because Bark Avenues employees stated that my pet had a great visit and there were no issues. We now question if Bark Avenue has been honest with us and other pet owners about our pets experience while boarding at Bark Avenue. After our conversation with Bark Avenues employees we now question the integrity of the employees working at the establishment. Their poor communication skills inconvenienced my family and I greatly.

We love this place! The owners are top notch. They did animal rescue for years, so they truly care about your dogs. I have boarded a couple of other places because we have moved 30 minutes away but have always come back. Our dog is the happiest there and well taken care of.

My partner and I discovered Bark Avenue while driving by. We had just moved to the area and thought the name was very clever. They gave us a tour of the facilities and you could tell right away that they were a quality establishment run by quality people. Since our initial visit, we have boarded our dogs several time and have dropped them off for doggy daycare even more. Bark Avenue truly cares about our dogs and it shows. We will gladly return again and again.

My dog loves to go to Bark Avenue whether its for the day or for an extended stay. They give my dog the opportunity to play and interact with other dogs and are extremely friendly and caring for my pet. I have a very spoiled dog so if she loves it you know they have to be good.The most important thing that I can see is how much the staff cares. They obviously love dogs and enjoy getting to see them come back. I always feel comfortable leaving my pet there and will continue to use them. Thanks Bark Avenue!

Great place with nice people. I have taken my 13 year old dog there for boarding twice now with no issues. All of the staff were really nice. I have definitely found a new place for boarding!

The people here really show they appreciate your pets. They immediately recognized my dog when I brought her in for the second time and my dog always seems in good spirits when we pick her up! The place is very clean as well.

We LOVE Bark Avenue for our boys. We take them twice a week for daycare (and board when out of town) and they are always over the moon excited to go. The boys get to play with toys, friends, and humans during the day which leaves them both physically and mentally exhausted when we pick them up. So much better than walking in circles all day! We had them at another daycare in Atlanta when we first moved and had many problems with kennel cough episodes, being filthy when they got home, and failing to provide medicine when boarding. Absolutely NONE of these issues have occurred at Bark Avenue!! They love your fur kids as if they are their own. I trust them wholeheartedly with our boys which I have never been able to say about a daycare/boarding facility before.

Im not sure how this location can get anything less than a 5!! Such an amazing place. Thanks for taking care of Rocky and Lulu. We will see you in December!!

They are very attentive to our dogs special needs. Medications and slow feeder bowls are no problem for them. They play one-on-one for those dogs that cannot handle the stress of multiple dog play areas.

Family-owned kennel that treats your dog like their own. Have been using Bark Avenue since 2002. They are not into the latest, greatest, fanciest technology (no cameras for you to watch your pet) so if that is important you should use another kennel. But, if you pay attention to your dogs and really know them, they will tell you what they like and dont like.

Love love love this place! We tried several other daycares before settling on this daycare for our pup. They are understanding and provide a safe environment for your pet. They temperment test the dogs, keep them in small, well-matched groups, and seem to genuinely care about each animal.

Came highly recommended and our 7 month old pup loved her first week-long stay. Nikki is very helpful and loves all the pups, and really gets to know your dog. Well be back!

We bring our chorgi here as they have 24/7 monitoring, Nikki and team are prompt in response and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend!

So glad I found this place! The owners and staff are so nice and love the animals. Very accommodating and convenient - highly recommend! My dogs have been very happy here.

My sister and I agreed that Bark Ave. is the number 1 place to board our dogs after interviewing the top 10 facilities listed on google and other sites. Bark Ave. is even higher on my list today after 10 years of boarding my dogs there. The place is kept clean. You can drop by anytime for a tour, which we did. They have nothing to hide. The dogs are walked several times a day at no extra charge, unlike other places that charge for walks. They have a 5,000 sq. foot rubber padded play area. Thats bigger than my house! The best part is that Vena, the owner, and her staff cater to older dogs with special issues. They took great care with my 12 year old German Shepherd and my old blind American Eskimo. Now my newest German Shepherd puppy has already stayed with them several times and is eager to get out of the car and run in. My sister has 4 dogs that stay there. The smallest pens are twice the size of any we saw at the 10 places we visited, roomy enough for my old German Shepherd and her huge orthopedic bed where she could lay on her side with room to spare. Someone is in the building 24/7 with the dogs so they are not alone at night. (no other kennel we visited had overnight staff) Vena, is the kindest person who helps find good homes for rescue dogs, or keeps and loves the ones that nobody wants. Bark Ave. is a wonderful, safe place and the staff loves the dogs. Im so grateful I found Bark Ave. I drive from Sandy Springs to board my dogs there, its well worth the trip.

My dog hasnt completed her stay there yet and I havent seen the place personally, but Im going to go ahead and review it solely based on the fact that they helped me out in pinch. I used DogVacay to find a pet sitter for my dog only to leave town and then find out that my dog got scared and had a panic attack. When the sitter called and said they couldnt care for her anymore, I called Bark Avenue 1/2 hr before closing. They not only waited at closing time till my friend got there with the dog, they accepted her with open arms, helped carry the stuff out from the car and promised to send me pictures. Im confident her stay will be great, I like this place already!

I take my two high maintenance Weimaraners to Bark Avenue 4 days a week for doggy daycare and board them there whenever I have to go out of town. They are the absolute best at making sure your dogs needs are met. If you go on a tour of the facility, you will see how exceptionally clean the building is and the large amount of room that your dog gets to stay in. The outside area has grass as well as a large padded area where the dogs can play and not mess up their paw pads on the hot cement. When its warm outside, the staff pulls out a large inflatable pool (lifeguard included) for the dogs to cool off in. They also regularly post pictures of all of the dogs playing so that you can see your pooch in action. I have yet to have a day where my dogs dont come home completely happy and worn out. I wouldnt take them anywhere else.

Love bringing our two dogs to Bark Avenue. They always seem to have such a good time.One of our dogs has separation anxiety issues that were really prominent when we first got him. As such, we were hesitant about leaving him to be boarded. After our first time boarding him I could tell how much love and care he got while he was there as he came back just as happy as can be. Our dogs have been back several times since and we wont take our dogs anywhere else!

I was referred to Bark Avenue by my previous boarding lady because she was always full. I never left, my dogs come back home relaxed, I know they are safe. Love them!

Love, love, love Bark Avenue! I have a Dalmatian with terrible separation anxiety and a boarder collie mix who is in a wheelchair. My Dalmatian has been going to daycare at Bark Avenue since she was a puppy in 2009. Normally she freaks out when I leave a room without her, but every time I drop her off at Bark Avenue she goes happily to the back with whomever takes her and she doesnt even look back at me. My handicapped boy requires a bit more attention than the average dog as he has to be put into and taken out of his chair multiple times a day and obviously requires ramps. The staff at Bark Avenue accommodates him and all of his needs flawlessly. I highly recommend Bark Avenue to any dog owner.

It has taken me a while to write this review because I tried to give Bark Avenue an opportunity to rectify the problem I had with an injury to my dog. When I dropped my dog off, he was perfectly fine. When I picked him up and returned home, I immediately noticed his scrotum was burned. I called Bark Ave and the owner told me she would speak with her employees. Over a course of several days, I was told three different versions about what happened to my dogs scrotum. Bottom line, the injury occurred under their watch. I understand that accidents happen but I was most disappointed that Bark Ave would not assume any responsibility.

Everyone is wonderful here. Our bullmastiff has a great time and there is no one else we would trust to take care of her:)

This has been the only place that I trust and can count on for boarding my mature boston terrier. I have had a bad experiences with local vet boarding in the past where my dog was kept in a crate and when I picked her up was bloated and traumatized. At Bark Avenue she has never been kept in a crate and has a spacious pen area with her bedding from home next to similar size dogs. She can be unpredictable with other dogs, but the staff finds the right group to allow her to socialize with during the day. When I drop her off she will even walk in on her own. Thank you to the wonderful owners and staff!

They are awesome to my 2 doggies, they have being able to take excellent care of my pitbull who is extremely active and of my antisocial shihtzu who doesnt like other dogs and/or people. They really love dogs and you can tell that they do their job with passion.

I am a former employee of Bark Avenue Pet Resort. This is place is the only kennel I would ever take my dogs. I read the bad review that said the dogs were only walked twice a day and take it from me and my legs, we walked the dogs no less than 6 times a day. Bark Avenue took the time to really get to know all the dogs and gave each and every one the attention they need. There was never a limit to what they would do to make sure the dogs were happy. Even though I am no longer employed there, I have worked at other kennels and NOTHING has ever compared to Bark Avenue. They all seemed to care more about profit than about the dogs. From the cleaning methods to the tlc, no other kennel is like Bark Avenue. If I ever needed to leave my dogs in any care other than my own, this is the only place I would go, without any hesitation.

This place is no pet resort – more like a pet prison! They are no longer at this location listed here but at 2961 G Olympic Industrial Dr., Smyrna, GA. It’s a converted old warehouse with a really stinky lobby and hundreds of dogs in cages. Their 2 daily walks consist of a concrete parking lot and there’s no way all of the dogs can get enough exercise in that tiny area out back. The lady owner has quite an attitude as well. Would NEVER board any of my animals there!!

The LADY AT THE FRONT DOES HAVE QUITE THE ATTITUDE as said in the previous comments. Also some of these comments are made by customers who make comments to just get a discount when boarding their dog. Also watch out; these people will quote one rate for your dog and then when you are actually going to pick up your dog will change the rate. When you tell them that you were quoted a different price they will simply say it was so long ago and I dont remember quoting that price . Suddenly they will tell you that they close at a different time. When you check their website they havent even updated the business hours. Check under their FAQ. Now when they see this comment the rude lady might quickly change it. They sometimes say that they are going to give the dogs a bigger suite and then in the end when we go there, they end up giving a normal sized suite. Basically they just say something to get your business in the beginning and then change their word afterwards. Also I dont mind if they change their policy , but they should let us know in advance. Say they didnt let us know in advance, then they should at least have the courtesy to tell us that they are sorry they couldnt tell us, and be more polite when talking to customers. Specially long time customers. Overall the attitude of the owner lady is horrendous!!! I must admit previous to this visit I was very happy about this place, however, who knows what they were doing with the dogs in the back if they are such fake, rude people!!!Extremely disappointed!!!I wish more people will write their reviews honestly without intention to get discounts from this warehouse!
