My first visit was for a mole removal procedure and I would not have returned for a second and third visit had I not needed a follow-up on the procedure’s progress. The receptionists have an unwelcoming demeanor and are terrible at scheduling appointments. I made an appointment for 11:30am today but they called and asked if I would be able to come in for an earlier appointment at 11:00am. When I arrived for my new and earlier appointment, the waiting room was jam packed with no seats available. Rhonda at the front desk checked me in and asked me to have a seat until the doctor was ready for me. I asked her if I would be able to get in within the next 15 minutes at my scheduled time (11am) because there are not any seats available. She asked if I  would like to STAND OUTSIDE AND WAIT AT THE ELEVATORS AS THERE WERE NO SEATS. I told her I would ideally like to see the doctor at 11am as I was rescheduled for an earlier time and it didn’t make sense for them to reschedule my appointment if this were the case. I have had to wait over an hour past my scheduled time each visit but Rhonda’s response was the last straw and I will not be returning. I definitely would have appreciated a better response. Please do not waste your time here. We deserve better!

So I’ve been meaning to leave this review for about a month but I’ve been coming to this clinic for my on going issues for roughly six months. Every time I come the staff is always warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. And most importantly, my docs were too. They paid attention to my unique issues and have suggested treatment that’s given me the kind of improvement I haven’t seen anywhere else. Although my issue isn’t curable, thanks to the knowledgeable doctors here, my friends and family can no longer tell that I have an issue at all. I’ve gotten my life back!

First, Dr. Taliaferro is an excellent doctor! I came for two separate issues. She was knowledgeable, professional, warm, and had great bedside manner. Dr. Taliaferro answered my questions and prescribed medicine that cleared up a skin issue in less than a week. Each visit I have with her she is pleasant, writes down info to be sure Im clear, and makes me feel comfortable as a patient. The medical assistant and front desk staff are also very friendly, respectful and professional. My complaint is that my voicemail messages and emails were not returned regarding a billing issue (to no fault of this office). I needed an itemized receipt for a product I purchased for reimbursement for my flexible spending account. No one answered the phone for 3 days. I recalled being told to email them if they cant be reached via phone. I left 2 voicemails over several days with no response. Additionally, I sent emails to two Separate email addresses before I finally received a reply from the office manager, Pamela F. When she finally replied, she asked me the very same info I had already provided in the initial email. I responded with the info (again) and she never replied. I sent a follow up email asking for the status...still no reply. After a week of trying to settle this, I had to take time off from work to go to the office to resolve this when it could have been addressed via phone/email. There was a sweet young lady at the front desk, who was sincere and very apologetic. I requested to speak with Pamela, the office manager, who I was corresponding with and she refused to come out to speak with me. She relayed a message to have me come back in 5 to 7 days! What?!! She could have replied to my email and told me this. There was no valid reason why it would take so long and even then at least offer to mail it. I then asked (through the associate)for Pamela to complete my own FSA form instead and she refused. She clearly was not interested in assisting, showed no concern or respect for my time or the fact she ignored my email. She seemed to just be difficult for no good reason. Pamela claimed my FSA form required the doctors signature and I would have to wait for the doctor to finish with a patient. A doctors signature was never required...it only required a signature or stamp from the providers office. Pamela would know this had she taken time to read the form or come out to meet with me. She was too eager to dismiss me. The front associate was kind and gracious enough to complete it. It took less than 1 minute to complete it. She was a new associate and showed more professionalism and concern than the office manager. I hope patient voicemails and emails are returned in a timely manner and the office mananger learns better customer service, as she represents this provider.

Well, Im just to say Im glowing and i just left 1 hour ago. The staff is always professional and the office is clean and well stocked with sanitation supplies. My aesthetician was Jill (my 1st time with her), and she was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and made me feel at ease. Dr. Taliaferro came out to greet me (yayyyy) and both her and Jill had smiles on their faces that would turn any gray day into absolute sunshine. I highly recommend this practice to anyone that ask, as well as, volunteer this location. They have a lifelong patient here for any of my cosmetic needs. Please give this place a try, they wont disappoint .

I’d give this place 4.5 if I could, but not because of the staff or doctors! I’ve been other places and this place is goldDr. Taliaferro is very caring and sensitive with patients, my young adult daughter etc. The COVID protocols were A1 and so was the restroom which tells me further this place cares about the people!

Dr. Sumayah Taliaferro identified and explained her concerns based on my skin damage from regularly playing tennis. I felt like Dr. Sumayah Taliaferro cared about me and concerned about my skin.

Not sure whether or not the staff changed but they were really nice to me especially the lady that booked my appointment. The doctor was really understanding and answered all my questions ( and I always have a lot). I look forward to my treatment and I’m glad I’ve found a dermatologist that cares about my concerns.

Amazing office! they really know what theyre talking about and they go above and beyond from the moment you check-in. the front office staff was very patient and polite. the nurses are very understanding and sympathetic to your issues. the doctor has such a bubbly personality, GREAT bedside manner - so few doctors still do. the entire office is very knowledgeable about products and before you purchase they tell you everything you need to know so you dont waste your money as so many of us do on skincare lines.phenomenal experience! 5 stars! highly recommend!

Great experience from start to finish! Dr. Taliaferro has an amazing spirit and personality; she takes her time and gives very personalized attention. Her office staff is extremely professional and I loved her assistant too! I have a major retail pharmacy that I have used for years but when there was some difficulty transmitting the prescription they recommended a local pharmacy that saved me 30% off of my copay. Suffice it to say I have found my new dermatologist.

While Atlantic Station is always under construction, this office is always well put together! The front desk ladies are very helpful, full of good energy, and beautiful! The PA-C, Anissa, is awesome!!!! She is very knowledgeable about AA skin and our skin conditions. She answered any and every question I had and I have already begun to see positive results from her skin care regimen!! Go see these ladies, you will not be disappointed!

Very pleasant front desk staff. I didn’t have much of a wait time, which is always a plus. Dr Taliaferro seem very knowledgeable and I love her assistant’s personality! I was referred by my doctor and one of her nurses. I look forward to seeing how the treatment plan work for my skin!

I visited Dr. Taliaferro one time and I hated I wasted it. I was excited because of the reviews and that she was 5 minutes from my home. During the consultation regarding my scar revision. She advised about price which is suitable during consultation but then referred me to cheaper options I may find with other practitioners. Maybe because I’m Black and in my twenties? I guess what I was wearing exuded I couldn’t afford the procedures? Weird huh? After that I booked a more expensive practitioner but with better customer service. Any place someone goes looking to spend their hard earned money should be treated with the utmost respect. *shrugs*

Dr. Taliaferro and her staff are great. My visit was the best visit I have ever had with a dermatologist. She is hands on and took her time. I highly recommend her, you would not be disappointed. Also her staff is awesome.

I have visited this office twice and both times have experienced poor quality service from the staff, which I find to be a shame as my experience with Dr. Taliaferro was wonderful. But, unfortunately, I will not be coming back.During my first visit, Dr. Taliaferro was definitely the highlight of my experience. She was knowledgable, kind, and listened to my concerns and previous experience with my condition. If it wasnt for her, I would not have scheduled a secondary appointment. After attending my second appointment and not being seeing by Dr.Taliaferro (but rather another doctor at the practice), I have decided not to return.The front desk staff on both my arrival and check-out interacts for both visits did not even bother to look up from their computers as they spoke me. I did not feel welcomed, I did not feel cared for, and - mostly - I felt as if I was troubling them by asking them questions - as the clerk sighed loudly before answering me. Poor customer service all around. I will not be returning.

I came here with my wife 1 week ago. She was struggling with hair loss and was really embarrassed about it. Dr. T did a phenomenal job at making her feel much better about the whole situation. Ive really noticed a difference in my wifes confidence. Will definitely being going back for our follow up!

The front office staff are RUDE! When checking out they dont acknowledge you standing there to pay your MONEY. They continue talking on the phone and to each other. The last visit I stood there for over 10 minutes while the rude and disrespectful front office staff took calls and conversed among themselves.When she finally acknowledged me. She never looked at me , but kept talking on the phone and typing on the computer. She told me how much I needed to pay, took the money, wrote a receipt handed it to me NEVER saying thank you or anything. I have never experienced such at any doctors office.Front office are not personable...they give the impression...on to the NEXT one!These kind of people ruin your business....

I was the WORST CRITIC EVER!!! I’ve been disappointed so many times with dermatologists and products. Atlanta Dermatology and Aesthetics has been life changing for me. They proved me COMPLETELY wrong! I was dealing with acne which led me into depression about my looks...until I found this place.My skin has never been as clear and beautiful as it is right now. This is the best team of skin care professionals I have EVER had (and I’ve had plenty #fails). Have no doubts, let Atlanta Dermatology and Aesthetics figure it out! 🥇

The service has really fallen off. I have been to Dr T twice since she moved to Atlantic Station and the appointments never run on time. They are always overbooking customers. I love to support my black doctors but I will have to stop going because my time is very important and they do not take in consideration that you have other things to do.- Since I initially drafted this review. I have referred a few people to Dr T because I wanted to see if there has been some improvement in service. Both people who visited the office stated that the service was great and that they will go back and one person has already had their second appointment. I will start going back to Dr. T because even though I had a complaint about the service at that time she still was by far the best Dermatologist that I have visited. Keep up the good work.

I went to see Dr Taliaferro sometime last year. Her front desk staff was very pleasant and I liked the office itself but that its were it stops. I didnt like the way she and her assistant talked to me. She was cold and cut me off multiple times. Maybe it was an off day for her. Who knows...but I wont be going back. I was really excited to support a black doctor too. Oh well....

Customer service is tops at this office! From the time you arrive until the time you leave, the staff is professional yet friendly. I appreciate the information I have received on new products, and the Revision line has been outstanding! Dr.T is on top of the latest techniques for skin care and I love that!

This is the most informed and personable office I have ever been to! The Dr. and the PA, I have seen both, are very well informed and educated! You leave with complete knowledge about your visit and for me it felt as if they were tailor making decisions for me. I will always be a patient at ATL Derm and Aesthetics. The two ladies at the front desk are hilarious, it doesnt feel so Doctored up, very down to earth office!

Their staff is friendly, profesional and very timely! And Dr. T is just an amazing dermatologist, she performed two removal surgeries on me and even helped me navigate through my brand new insurance plan. I would recommend this place highly!

I was excited to see Dr. Taliaferro because of the reviews, but unbeknownst to me, my husband saw the PA. When I called I specifically asked to see Dr Taliaferro and no one informed me that I would not be seeing her. So, I was very disappointed about that! My husband has serious health issues and on a FIRST visit he needs to see a Doctor not a PA so the Dr can initially assess his needs and then if she feels her level of expertise is not needed for his care then later visits can be scheduled with a PA, if we choose.Additionally, while in the back the young lady (the Med Assistant) took my picture with an iPad before asking my permission and then stated it was for identification?? But you already have my valid State ID, what more identification did you need??? This was awkward and disrespectful by not allowing my husband to give you authorization to take his picture. I read the office paperwork thoroughly and nothing in those documents state they require his picture to be taken. So distasteful!!!!Lastly, the location is very difficult to find. They are up in a hole near Piedmont Primary Care Physician’s. My husband has a lot of health issues and we weren’t prepared to go on a hunt to see a Dr that we actually did not see.Her front office should do better by representing her. If she doesn’t know, they are a reflection of her/her office and my visit definitely reflected that, which was BAD!!!

I pray that Dr. Taliaferro will see this. I have been one of her patients for about 5 years. I even recommended her to friends. I really like her. She is a great doctor. Just like another person said. I called to schedule an appointment. The call went to voice mail. The message advised me to leave my information and someone would call me. I never heard from anyone. I am not sure what is wrong. I did research and have found another doctor. I called and explained my needs and was able to get an appointment within a day.If any one sees this who is seeing Dr. Taliaferro, please tell her calls for appointments are not being returned.

Well, I keep hearing she is great, I tried to see her twice, but everytime l attempt to see her she is booked so far along that I have to decline the dates offered. My excema cant wait two months to be seen.

I recently followed Heather Schardan over to Dr T’s office. Heather has been my aesthetician for 9 years. She’s amazing! Totally worth the drive from Decatur.As always Heather was amazing. I love the peel she used. I get so many compliments on my skin. Thanks to Heather.Dr T’s office is really nice. I found the staff to be professional, friendly. I’ll be seeing her from now on as my dermatologist.

Gave my teenage daughter the wrong treatment twice which burned her skin and made her breakout in hives. I told the PA that her skin was sensitive from the beginning. Never tried to correct it. Caused her and me unnecessary stress. Charged me for 2 visits and no solution 😡😡😡

They are verry attentive to their patients. The nurses even gave my wife a regimen to follow detailed with when and what order to use the medicines prescribed
