I purchased a pair of glasses from them for not a cheap price back in March. Upon receiving the glasses I realized one of the lenses was defective. I then called to have it replaced which took months of calling them. I then received the new lenses and the same issue. So, I called again and was told to leave a message. I did that multiple times. I could not see with my current glasses because of the defect. I had to purchase another pair in the meantime just to be able to see. I continued to call and finally spoke with someone. I told them the story and all they had to say to me was that this is the last of my warranty. No apology or understanding of what it has taken me. I am just trying to get an expensive pair of glasses repaired because of a defect from the beginning. To the point where I had to buy another pair. COVID or not, this is just poor business practice. I can’t see how this would get repeat customers.

The first woman I spoke to on the phone was very rude and unprofessional. But the rest of the staff seemed very professional!

We paid my wifes copay and they sent us a bill for it, when confronted about it they stated that insurance didnt cover it and admitted to billing it incorrectly (hence why the insurance wont cover it) but wont do anything about it. We are gonna end up paying it to prevent them from sending it to collections like I know they would. Very disgusting behavior.Edit: 2 weeks later after telling me we would get our money back nothing has showed up.

So I needed a new eye exam for contact lenses as mine expired in December 28th. After realizing lens crafters went up almost $75 since my appointment last year I cancelled and called around. I settled on the eye and lasik center as the woman on the phone spent about 20 minutes explaining what I needed to bring in and why. I was quoted $70 for a renewed contact prescription exam. She said I needed to get a copy of my previous exam from lens crafter as this would be used to keep costs down for my exam. I also needed my written prescriptions and boxes of lenses. So I go out of my way to get all these things and show up for my feb 4th 4:20 appointment ready to go. Immediately reception tells me it is going to cost $45 more because she was splitting the cost of something. I told her what I was quoted and she told me to have a seat. For the next 30 minutes I have to listen to both receptionists basically talk about me and how I am going to get screwed into paying more and it’s not their fault it’s the call centers. So at 4:40 I get called back by the doctor. He proceeds to tell my all my paperwork that I was instructed to bring and spent time driving around and collecting is useless because it’s expired. He said this several times and in a tone that made it seem like I brought in some random exam I had back in the 90s and it was only 5 weeks expired and that was because it was for when THEY scheduled me when I called. He informs me now it is going to be $200 because they are the premier eye center in the area and that’s how much things cost nowadays. I reluctantly agree because I just spent the last 30 minutes in the waiting room listening to everyone talk about how screwed I was about to get so I knew it was coming. I expected another $45 on top of $70 though because that’s what reception told me and the doctor managed to jack it up another $85 in no time at all but whatever. I need the prescription so let’s do it. He then repeats how useless all my info I brought in was and actually he has to do another eye exam also because, again, they are the premier eye center of the universe. At this point I stand up for myself and question how it just went from $200 to even more. The doctor gets annoyed with ME for pointing out the giant discrepancy and says well let’s do nothing and stands up. Ok f me I guess. Needless to say I left without an eye exam and without an apology for wasting my time, misquoting me, or any effort at all to provide any level of customer service and god forbid work with me for a reasonable price close to what I was quoted. Long story short, stay away. This was abysmal business behavior.

I was pleasantly surprised when I had my eye exam at the Athol Eye & Lasix Center in Athol. Im 63 have had glasses for almost 20 years and have never been treated with so much kindness from everyone. The front desk all the way threw to Dr. Maher. He was thorough but never rushed and explained everything so I could understand. It was just the best eye visit Ive ever had.
