My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Toomey for many years. After our very first visits, we talked about the depth and thoroughness of our eye exams and decided she would be our eye doc from then on.Not only is Dr. Toomey an excellent Doc but she is genuinely caring and will go the extra mile to help in any way she can. Her office staff reflects that same high standard of care for every patient - very personable and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Toomey and already have been singing her praises to my friends.

The best eye care in our area. Dr Toomey is wonderful in every way. She has done so much for me and I would not think of going to anyone else. The staff is great also, so friendly and polite. I had severe itching and burning in one of my eyes and went to Toomey and Baggett to see if I had scratched my eye. I was diagnosed with a rare disease that often causes blindness. The eye gel I was prescribed was as rare as the disease and priced accordingly.On a whim, I went to another eye Dr for a second opinion. Turns out it was just allergies and an over the counter eye drop cleared it right up. So that was a significant amount of money down the drain.If youre going for glasses, Im sure this would be a great place to go, but get a second opinion if they try to treat you medically.Anyone need to buy some eye gel?

Dr. Toomey is great with our kids an is very informative. She has been a tremendous help with our son who has a tracking problem. This place is horrible. They never get you in on a reasonable time. Every single time we come we sit in the waiting room for an hour before being seen. Then another 30 minutes or more to wait on the doctor. I have to give up an entire day to come here because we live in Knoxville. They either need a bigger practice or they need to stop seeing so many patients. What is the point of making an appointment if they dont respect peoples time.

After relocating to Athens from FL, I needed to see an eye doctor due to failing the DMV eye exam when I tried to obtain a TN license. Dr. Dean Baggetts examination and testing were thorough and detailed. My first appointment lasted nearly 2 hours, which included meeting with Jane, one of the opticians. My lenses came in a week earlier than expected and Jane took her time with me, ensuring I was happy and satisfied. It was great to have clear vision again. Toomey and Baggett Eyecare Clinic is a lovely practice with a personable, professional staff. And I passed the DMV eye test with a perfect score! Thank you, Dr. Baggett, Jane and staff were taking such great care of me and my eyes.

Had something stuck in my eye called them on short notice and even though they had a full schedule they fit me in and cleared my eye out. they were super friendly and i didnt have to wait very long
