I do not recommend going here if you have hair which requires trimmers to cut. Asked to have my hair blended/ faded and got nothing close to it. There is quite literally a point in my hair where it goes from an inch to a half inch, it’s funny looking. Furthermore, the trimming around my ears as well as my sideburns are quite uneven and not fully cut. The staff is friendly and talkative but that doesn’t matter very much considering I was charged $20.

Not sure of the name whoever did the cut but she was older with dyed mousy brown hair. The hair cut was mediocre but the service is responsible for my rating. I went in there wanting a nice hair cut after growing it out for over a year and was just treated like a joke of a kid in there. Ive never been treated like this before, I didnt really say anything that should be taken as a joke in any context but just saying very normal things and telling them about how Id like my hair cut caused this lady and maybe a younger stylist to laugh like Im a stand-up comedian. Never even heard of someone experiencing something like this before but given that I was the only one in there younger than 35 it kind of just tells me they had no respect, she wasnt even very cordial or talkative, just uncomfortable laughs at things I wanted taken seriously, not trying to listen or anything. I showed her what my hair looked like after I styled it daily and asked for her to style it similarly at least while telling her the exact techniques and products I use but giving her the freedom to do whatever she thinks looks nice or better but what I was left with was a joke, I might as well have it my hair by myself then had my roommates style it while blindfolded. Ill probably post the before and after someone soon because its hilarious. I payed $20 for worse service and quality of cut than $16 at Great Clips. I think Ive learned that it doesnt take much skill to dye and heat treat hair because obviously that experience doesnt translate to a decent hair cut or styling and that a salon advertising all these things is less than a jack of all trades.

I stopped by Station Street Hair Designs to get a haircut with Ashley. I often struggle with stylists not listening to me and giving me their vision of the cut I should get, instead of giving my my vision. I had a great experience at this salon because Ashley listened to exactly what I asked for and she executed perfectly. On top of everything, I thought the hair cut was very affordable and even cheaper than the chain salon I usually go to. I would be more than satisfied to support this local business again because they were quick, professional, and affordable.

Got my hair cut by Ashley and my hair colored by Lacey, and cant wait to go back! Got everything done a few months ago and my hair is still pretty vibrant and Ashley remembered my husband too which was pretty nice. All the staff here made me feel so at ease both because of my anxiety and also for the pandemic. Ill be rescheduling soon!

This is the only place in Athens I will go to get my kids haircut and my own haircut as well

The whole experience was great! I was nervous getting my hair cut for the first time since quarantine has started. Masks are required, and Ashley gave me a great haircut. Im going to be coming back here as long as I live in Athens. I plan on getting a crazy hair color done here in the future.My wife just got a crazy color job done here recently and it looks awesome.

My stylist did a great job cutting a long-bob for me. She is nice, and super careful about hair length. She also did a great job waxing my eyebrows!!! Definitely will come back next time!!

I started using this place in the spring to cut my long hair into a short bob. It was fantastic and I have gone back several time now to keep it up and for color and highlights. It’s always a great experience and I have absolutely LOVED my hair this summer. Ask for Lacey Fletcher!!

Edit: Someone at the salon reached out to me and apologized and even offered to fix the nails for free. The people here are very kind and so helpful, I think it was just a weird day. Changed my star rating and recommend this place.

Lin is a hair master for us curly girls! She really knows what shes doing. Walked out saying I love it! over and over, which is the goal of a great cut. Bonus: she made it fun and the shop was adorable

I have lived in many places ranging from Los Angeles to Istanbul, and Station Street is among my favorite salons. My stylist, Hillary, understands my needs and always delivers the best, all the stylists are very friendly, the prices are very reasonable, the salon is conveniently located with lots of parking and there is a coffee machine for caffeine-addicts like myself! I feel very lucky to have found Station Street that delivers metropolitan styles with small town warmth and prices.

Got my hair cut by Ashley and I absolutely love it. Everybody was so nice and friendly. I was a little nervous asking for a Bob haircut, having a bad experience in the past, but it is exactly how I like it. I will definitely be going back!!

Just had about 3 inches cut off my hair from Ashley (per request)! It looks so awesome and is exactly how I wanted it to be! The price of the cut was unbeatable too! I highly recommend this salon and this stylist!

Probably the best salon in Athens. Have had two terrific haircuts there and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this shop to my friends. Very friendly staff of great stylists!

I am so disappointed with this salon. I took my daughter in for a haircut done by Ashley and it wasn’t cut evenly. It’s about an inch longer on one side. My daughter told Ashley that it wasn’t even, but was ignored. Apparently Ashley was more concerned in gossiping about how badly someone had decorated their company Christmas tree and how the ribbon was backwards rather than giving a good haircut. We got home and started to notice problems. I brought my daughter back in to have it fix. Unfortunately Ashley still couldn’t get it right. I had to step in, take her comb and show her the proper way to cut hair. Who’s the professional? Why do I have to keep showing you? It took three more times and it still isn’t right. I finally had to just cut our losses and walk away. If I wanted a mediocre cut, I would have gone to Walmart. You pay salon prices because you expect salon services.

Lacey knows how to cut mens hair and beards. It looks good going out and right up to the next cutting.

This is my wifes go-to hair place. She doesnt go anywhere else because she gets consistantly great service and good cuts here.

My hair stylist Lacey always does a great job with my hair. Only issues with the place is I often make appointments but still have to wait a reasonable amount of time, and Im not always greeted very promptly.

I have never written a google review, but here goes. I got a cut here, and the experience was unprecedented. I have lived for 26 years but I have NEVER met a hair stylist who didnt try to talk to you. She looked effectively miserable at the fact that she had to cut my hair. I said, i keep the back and the sides short. She didnt ask me on what to do with the top so i figured she must know how my hair used to look like some top-level stylist. Nope. Didnt care and destroyed my hair that I developed with my original stylist for 6 months and now I look like im ready to enlist in the army again. $20? i wouldve complained about this cut if i paid $8 at a BestCut. You can literally give a trimmer to the friend standing next to you and you would get the same result. Top of my head is not even; i got all the small hairs on my neck not tended. Its so bad that I just hope that shes a bad stylist and its got nothing to do with me.
