The staff here have always been awesome, but this particular incident makes me happy. The P.A. told me they have the meds I need in the office, but I declined since I needed to go to the pharmacy for other supplies anyway. There was some issue with my insurance approving the meds, and once Sherry (Sherry? Cherie? The wonderful lady at the front desk) got this info she called to remind me that they have the medicine in office that my husband can pick up for me. Patient care is above and beyond!!! This will always be my go-to urgent care while I live in Atascadero!!

Took my grandson here for an injury .The place was conveniently located; reception was very prompt, courteous, professional and polite. My issue was the actual service provided. As I was unable to be present with my grandson to talk with the doctor (I had to take another relative to an appointment, and this visit was unplanned), I briefed the doctor before I left, she assured me it was all right to leave him with her, and she seemed very receptive and understanding of the fact that my grandson felt awkward about his situation.Yet after speaking with him about the visit, he said the doctor did not even look at the area in question, that she “just asked him about it” . He told her it was “a swelling bump”, and she directed him to the nearest pharmacy for some medication. What kind of service is that?? Why didn’t she, knowing he is a teenager, actually look at the injury, knowing he might not give specifics? My concerns are possible infection. Had I been in town I would have immediately returned with him and had him rechecked. Suffice to say, he was NOT given a thorough check at all for something that can possibly be a serious issue.

The office is very nice and its clean. The staff is very prompt and professional, and the NPs really know their stuff! Id recommend this place to anyone. 👍

One week ago today, I was seen at Urgent Care of Atascadero. I was seen for what appeared to be an insect bite, from a couple of days prior, which was now infected, the staff was courteous, Doctor answered all questions, as prescriptions were prescribed infection down and doing well.Thanks Doc and staff

Incredibly rude staff, I’ve never been spoken to so disrespectfully by a medical professional. Questionable medical practice and advice. This place is really only good for a doctor’s note for work and maybe a prescription for antibiotics. Good luck to you if you are actually in need of urgent care.

Called ahead to see if it was possible to be seen on my lunch break while at work nearby. Receptionist made no promise but encouraged me to come, optimistic that it would be a short wait. Warmly greeted on arrival, filled out a few forms and within 10 minutes I was in the exam room. Short wait to see the PA-C. I was able to purchase the prescribed med right there. I was back to the office in lesd than an hour. Very clean. My only complaint is that all the chairs in the office and exam room are quite low, hard for older people to get up from. Otherwise, great.

After a trampoline deal, my 3 yr old landed wrong and her knee instantly started to swell, we immediately went to the Urgent Care of Atascadero. At first glace of me carrying my daughter through the door the caring receptionist asked what happened, told the nurse behind the lobby door, who then opened the door for care. They saw my daughter in pain and immediate action for care took place. There was no wait in the waiting room, a friendly concerned nurse took us into a room and filled in the little bit of information about my daughter and I for me. The Dr examined and tried to joke a bit with my daughter to get her attention off the pain, and was able to for a moment when he magically pulled a sucker out of her ear. The X-ray tech was very kind and concerned for my daughter. She saw the pain and asked if she could administer some medication, and for certain there was pain, after the x-ray we found that she had a fracture of the Tibia at the knee connection. The X-ray tech put a splint on and the Dr. said we needed to go to the ER. I loved my experience here, the concern the entire time was for the patient my daughter and not the insurance or any push for paperwork. And the cherry on the cake goes to the X-ray tech whom I received a call from the next morning asking about me and my daughter and how the ER visit was. This building is full of love and blessings. I cant thank them enough for their hard work, concern of others, and care that can only come from the heart. =) Thanks

Do NOT visit this facility. I received terrible service during check in, misinformation regarding insurance coverage and a large bill afterwards. Upon calling the billing department, the situation got even worse! The representative actually yelled at me. Unbelievable. Stay away!

Came in yesterday with my sick elderly mother. She was taken back very quickly and was treated by the doctor in just a short time. He treated her very nice and they even dispensed her medicine right there at the office! So convenient! We are lucky to have this urgent care so close to home.

Its been over two years that i went to the urgent care for bad health issue. i paid my copay of 10/15$ and i was seen by a male doctor and female nurse within 5 minutes, they did a check up, they prescribed what i needed and i felt 100% better after

As a family, we always have good visits. But today Leilani and Dr. Blackwell went above and beyond with my shy toddler who did not want to be there. Thank you!

Easy and quick check in on the Sunday of the 4th of July weekend. I was seen within minutes and the evaluations by both the medical assistant and nurse practitioner were thorough. Everyone I interacted with was polite and friendly. I received a prescription for antibiotics for an ear infection, which was sent to my pharmacy, then was on my way. Great experience. I would have no hesitation about visiting again if needed.

The receptionist and assistant were very sweet, I thought I was in good hands. Thinking I would walk out with a solution to my problem. Instead, threw away $130. I was told I was pretty much fine when I knew i wasnt. I tried convincing the doctor otherwise but she seemed positive nothing major. symtoms worsened and went to ER to find out differently. Not a place I would recommend at all.

Great Urgent care experience! I hate going to doctors, so I only go when its something I cant handle anymore because I dont like dealing with cranky staff or doctors that dont listen.... and I will go back anytime because I had such a positive expdrience! The front staff were friendly and they saw I had a stiff neck right away and were compassionate. When I was back with the PA, Michael Blackwell I believe was his name, he not only completely understood my problem but provided a solution that should help. He was great at breakimg the tension with a joke that made me laugh and feel comfortable. The treatment wasnt what I had had before and they offered my money back if it didnt work but it worked better than anything I had had before. I was back to work on Monday with no pain and the muscle spasms gone. If I ever get sick again, this is where Im going.

I will never go back to this place again. The wait was extreme and unacceptable. One of the medical assistants was extremely rude. I was left in the room for one hour. No medical assistant came in to say the doctor is running late. Doctor said he would call in prescription. It was never received. I called the office back and they said they would call in the prescription. I waited and waited. Hopefully you can choose another place for your urgent care needs.

Annoyed at the experience my husband just had at this clinic. I think there are a lot of other urgent cares with better bedside manner.

Came in with severe lower back pain and a clearly visible limp. Despite a completely empty office, it took 45 minutes to be seen. I was seen by the physician assistant Julie. After explaining my history with diagnosed disc injuries, she performed the most lackluster examination Ive ever received from a doctor. It consisted of tell me where it hurts and bending over and touching my toes. She then disregarded all of my input and diagnosed me with a sore back. Im a young and active individual and know the difference between a sore back and a legitimate injury. Apparently Julie doesnt. After a useless examination I asked for a doctors note to show at work. She wrote me a note for one day. I work a job that requires me to do some heavy lifting and to be on my feet all day. I left the office limping and not able to stand up straight. My boss now expects me back at work. I would not advise anyone to visit the urgent care Atascadero.

We provided quick and prompt service. Great place to stop for minor issues including breaks (ear infection, sinus infection, and broken thumb).

Always friendly and professional. We did have to wait a long time, but it was on a Saturday

Incompetent billing department, unprofessional attitudes of office staff, and unwillingness to work with patients AFTER THEY MAKE THE MISTAKES as to whether or not insurance will cover a visit. Save your money and your sanity and take your illnesses elsewhere.
