Astoria really needs to do better with their mental health care resources, the services provided to me in this location made me feel like I’d have been better of in harms way. Completely unhelpful staff. If you want to leave feeling worse than you did when you came in, this is the place to be.

Dont go here unless you wanna die. Litterly they looooove to over dose people on medicine and not communicate with other doctors prescribing other medicine for the same person. They have had several lawsuits regarding this and when it happens they sweep it under the rug.

They dont seem to understand that some patients CANNOT ENGAGE IN THERAPY UNTIL THEY ARE MEDICATED. When I was having severe bi-polar cycles, my doctor medicated me for a month before I had any therapy at all. I was not mentally able to participate in therapy at all until I was stable. CBH does not seem to understand this. I am trying to get help for a relative and they just dont get it!

Mayleena in the tricare department is an absolute doll and so easy to work with.I would say, however, stay far from Linda Robinson. I was scheduled with her for counseling and I am genuinely wondering if she is a mental health professional. we met thrice, each time i had to re-explain some traumas in my life because she did not once take notes. additionally, she would sit in silence often seeming as if she couldnt think of ways to fill the measly 30 minutes she spent with me. if you care about your mental health, do not go here.

If I could give no stars I would. It’s hard to get help for yourself when the psych talks over you and doesn’t even let you get a word in edgewise an pushes meds your not ok with and second guesses your 5 year diagnosis. The whole experience made my mental health worse. I’ve had nothing but horrible experiences with cbh. No wonder those who need help don’t seek it. The turnover rate is also horrible. The administrative director shyra basicly told me to withdrawl an suffer.

I just dont have words for the inadequacy and carelessness of the counselors here. Sigh. Ill just say, I am truly happy that I found SHORELINE counseling instead. My trauma is being addressed, I am taken seriously there, and my counselor communicates so professionally and adequately, and actually shows up to her appointments instead of cancelling time after time, literally as Im sitting in the waiting room for my appointment as CBH has so many times. I have never been treated like a child at Shoreline, as I was at CBH (shocking and blew my mind), I have never been brushed off and cancelled on at times that its crucial that my appointments are kept by the counselor at Shoreline... So no thank you CBH. You need a very serious, very fervid reform. Thank you Shoreline, for being there when I need you. In fact, Im going to pop on over to their website and add 5 stars and a raving review.

Tried to get my wife an appointment for months after getting a referral. After multiple phone calls and told we would hear back we finally called and canceled (We didn’t really cancel because we still didn’t have an apt.). We will Be driving out of town as it doesn’t seem like they care to get us in, and if they don’t care Then I don’t feel comfortable having my wife go.

Things go smoothly as long as you’re only looking to monologue the stressors in your life to be abruptly cut off the second time expires for your session. If you pressure your therapist to actually assist in helping apply coping skills and mechanisms that actually improve mental health, prepare to be given indignant pushback, be lied to, and ultimately be dropped from their service as a final act of cowardice. The only glimmering tidbit I ever got from almost an entire year of wasting my time with my therapist who I’m politely not naming, was when he would interject through my monologue with: “where do you feel it when you say ______?” Absolutely no feedback after i answered him, so I never even got to understand what that was even addressing. Obviously the county is hurting for mental health services, so I’m assuming they must be picking and choosing the easiest clientele to fill up their billable hours. CBH would never be a viable clinic if it wasn’t for the wonderful court system in place here. Avoid this place like the plague.

Clatsop Behavioral Health rules!!! Like all of us, I suffer from the blues sometimes. This past spring I was diagnosed with moderate to severe depression and anxiety. By working with my practitioner here I have again been able to develop a positive mental attitude and mantra to carry throughout my day. It’s really good to be able to express my thoughts and feelings to someone that really understands the human mental condition, and is able to give advice in a non-bias and non-judging way. Really glad I found this place!

They said I did not need medications, how ever I did need meds and it took me finding another doctor to give me this medications. Because they were not willing to help I ended up on dyalisis and almost lost my life. They say they want to help but never do.

My first appointment went great. I thought we were headed in the right direction and that i was going to get the help i needed. That was well over 2 months ago and,I have been calling and leaving voicemails since asking to see a therapist as i was told to do. I have not received a call back.

Because my original review was removed, I will be spreading the word to here since they use the same therapist across locations. One social worker acting in place of a therapist suggested my sexual assault experience was a quirk. So I switched to another social worker acting as therapist who then proceeded to project her anxieties into my EDMR safe space.

CLATSOP BEHAIORAL HEALTHCARE? Those words are quite literally an oxymoron. They dont even currently (10/22/2015) have so much as an ARNP for prescribing medications nor network w/anyone who will, IS THAT EVEN LEGAL? Getting an intake done was tougher than a $3 steak, then you just get the run-around filled w/ vague predictions of what might happen next & no one actually doing any of that; the whole, this person will call you later bit but then that call never comes, emails to them go unanswered & when I call I only get the machine... Yep, just like dating... dating an abusive and highly narcissistic match you hooked up with on E-Harmony or Christian Mingle one late and drunken night after Bar Closing.ITS NOT SAFE FOR ONE TO SEEK HELP WITH ANY ISSUES EVEN REMOTELY RELATING TO ONES MENTAL HEALTH THERE.
