My experience with Ashland Eye Care has always been great. The staff has been consistently friendly and helpful. And I have found Dr. Loftus to be very attentive, thorough and kind. Good news! I love my new glasses!

Dr. Loftus is fantastic. Patient, professional, courteous, and responsive. Would leave 5 stars but his front office staff tend to leave something to be desired.

Most accurate prescriptions Ive ever had.

I went to this eye doctor thinking it would be a good visit due to previous google reviews. Prior coming to appointment, I asked receptionist if I needed to wear my contacts or glasses. She said glasses would be fine. However, I learned that I needed to be wearing my contacts and not my glasses. At one point during the exam, the doctor actually asked if I was making up my answers to his questions! I said no. My eyes were having trouble focusing on the tests. I felt as if he was calling me a liar! When checking out, the gal at the front desk to my credit card and swiped it, then said oh no, we dont take this card. It was too late to cancel to transaction, and she said the doctor will fire her over this. I left that office and will not return again. Please note, I went to this appointment Nov 2019, so things may have e changed.

What a kind man Dr. Loftus is! My eyes aren’t easy to work with, I have aged as well as separate seeing eyes. He patiently worked with me and together we figured out a plan to work best for me!!The ladies out front were very polite as well!Thank you for great service.

I wouldve given a 5★, but the gal at the front acted like she had never pulled out gasses before. A year ago I wouldve give a 5★. The difference between them is huge. The gal a few years ago, bent over backwards to make sure that you know which glasses your insurance would cover what it wouldnt before you picked out the glasses you feel in love with. The gal this last week, pulled out one of the most expensive pair. She didnt tell me till I not only picked them out, asked a second opinion from someone else, then could really see myself in them, did she finally tell me my outta pocket was more than I told her I wanted to pay. She shouldve pulled out the glasses insurance would cover, and then the ones that would cost $1-$25, $26-$50 and so on. And let the customer pick from what they can spend. If your going to pull out one at a time, at least tell them how much each one is. I felt like she didnt want me to know how much they were till the last moment.As for the doc, amazing. He very kind and works with you tries to make sure you get the right eye sight. And takes as much time as you need to do the exam. I was having a very hard time cause my eyes were so dry that even the light itself on the wall was blurry even with my glasses and the eye machine. But over all, I would definitely go back. Only tell the lady ahead of time how you wanted to pick out your glasses.

Excellent optometrist: very thorough, professional and knowledgeable, yet also kind, compassionate and fair-priced. Worthy of a 5-star recommendation.

I just got a call from them at 8pm on a Sunday, because she came in to do inventory and saw my message about losing my glasses. She did the reorder over the phone after finding a close replica of my frames online showing them to me and starting the order.They are an awesome team and I believe they deserve some lauding. :)
