Dr. Peterson is a compassionate, knowledgeable physician who listens carefully and provides thoughtful feedback and solid medical advice and care. She takes as much time as her patients need and leaves the computer in her office because she believes it creates a barrier between herself and her patients. Unfortunately when Mission Health took over the clinic on New Leicester Hwy they used these very beliefs against her by citing the fact that she sees fewer patients per day than her fellows--due to taking adequate time with each individual--to not renew her contact. Dr. Peterson was there for me at a critical time in my life. She was instrumental in turning around my physical and mental health. Any person lucky enough to have her as a physician knows immediately that she is an exceptional medical doctor.

Dr. Peterson was my primary care physician for many years when I lived in Asheville. She has the most outstanding bedside manner of any doctor I have ever had, and I have had MANY. She took her time to get to know me and my family situation, and was there for me after I broke my neck and developed e. vulneris ( a blood disorder) as a result. Six months after that I called her because I found a large suspicious lump. She saw me immediately and then referred me to a surgical oncologist, who diagnosed me with follicular lymphoma. Im a 12-year cancer survivor because of her quick action. I trust her completely! Isnt understanding the patients in your care and attending to them as WHOLE people what doctors are supposed to do?
