This group was phenomenal I’m not only diagnosing, but also treating our girl. They made sure she was comfortable, I was okay and all was planned ahead to ensure success for our daughter. The swallow therapist did an amazing job helping us as parents understand how to better help our daughter eat things she stopped eating or refused to. She even celebrated her progress from the tiniest level up to graduating quickly from her swallow therapy sessions. The Occupational Therapist was incredibly understanding, patient and customized each meeting to what our daughter needed or felt. She even pulled out some Paw Patrol tricks to keep our daughter motivated never pushing her beyond where she was that day. We received homework, but if we had a hectic week we weren’t chastised or made to feel anything negative throughout this time with them (many months). I’m beyond grateful we were seen quickly (compared to other locations we had reached out to), that our daughter was trusting of each person she came into contact (that’s a biggie) and we felt we were in the best care throughout our time with them. Cannot recommend them enough!

We saw 3 different people for my daughter at this practice. All of them were great with my daughter who was there between 2 and 3 years old. The 2nd one we saw actually mentioned something familiar about the issues we were seeing and while he was not correct it led us to a specialist who diagnosed her. The last person we saw Leolani (spelling?) was great. Definitely recommend this place!

Thank you for the response, and apparently you did not look far enough back in your records to see that I requested a new therapist for my son after 3 sessions in July and August of 2020 after being very dissatisfied with the way we were treated. I brought my son in to learn therapy techniques to help deal with his anxiety that had severely worsened after the pandemic hit. By the second session, I realized this person had no experience in parenting, and honestly no business being a childrens therapist. She was very rude and condescending about the fact that my sons father and I had shared custody, and treated his issues as though he was just acting out due to us creating a broken household. That couldnt be further from the truth. I have not included her name for her own privacy and I sincerely hope she is no longer employed by your office. I was told that it was being given to the appropriate person to handle, and that they could find someone else. I never received a response after that. I also contracted COVID-19 from the same therapist and was not notified until after she had been sick and in quarantine. I had to ask the receptionist I spoke to before she even told me, as she had been out of the office and canceled a session. It was a bit of a slap in the face to recieve a You havent been here to see us in a while email more than a year later. I appreciate removing me from receiving emails. Many thanks.

Very negative experience. I gave two stars instead of one because they were initially very quick to accommodate me and my daughter and did try to follow up with us. We were seeking behavioral health services and needed immediate help. We did receive that however my disappointment comes from the experience with the Kelly Jean. She was clear on what her job was and followed through with that but the reason I felt that my daughter was not cared for was because on the follow up without even knowing the results or details of our case she said that it would be best if my daughter would seek treatment else where because my daughters problems were to large for the scope she provides. She did not seem interested in speaking to other providers my daughter had been involved with because she had already made that decision not to provide care. Her words of sympathy seemed scripted and lacked feeling and I did not like having my paper work filled out for me it made me feel incapable. I understand as a healthcare provider myself that the provider can choose who and who not to serve. I wish she could have at least placed us with someone else within the practice that was capable or provided some direction as to where to go next. I does not sit well with me that it was assumed that my daughter would need many more additional services. Like are we that bad?!? As it turns out my daughter is in basic counseling. This is not the place to take a teen for behavioral therapy. I believe the practice is geared for younger children.

My two and a half year old son with Down syndrome receives home services from Carolina Pediatric Therapy. We have three therapists who come to our home for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/feeding therapy. My husband and I have been very impressed by all of the therapists. They are professional and knowledgeable in their fields and have a gift for helping children. They help us to identify developmental goals for my son and therapies we can perform during the week. They are patient with my son and work with him on his level. I highly recommend them! I have found it is very nice to have all three of his therapists at the same practice. They see each other in the office and can talk to each other about what they are working on with my son. I recommend Sally for physical therapy, Liz for occupational therapy, and Catherine for speech therapy.

My son is a toddler with MERLD. His therapist, Kayla, was great from the beginning and we only grew to liver her more and more. The play based program has helped him grow by leaps and bounds! The office staff is also amazing, kind, and clearly understands the dynamics of working with worried parents and children of all ages. I cannot day enough about his entire practice!

My son has been here for about 2 years now, and sees several different therapists. Everyone is so nice and helpful to him. They take the time to get to know him and his special needs. And they communicate very well to the parents everything that is going on with the therapies. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

My son has been a patient at CPT for 9 months, and we could not be more pleased with his experience and progress. His therapists are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The waiting room is calm and relaxing, and every time my son sees one of his therapists he breaks into a smile and is excited about the therapeutic games and fun he will be having. My son was a patient here before he received his ASD diagnosis, and the therapists helped us as we began to navigate a new world.

Very negative experience. They canceled on us two days before our appt. when I confirmed our address saying they thought we lived in Hendersonville. Then no one called us to assign us a new therapist and I followed up three times and still no call back. Never heard from them again. It was so unprofessional and disappointing.

Both my children (4 & 5) receive therapy here. My son gets PT and Speech and my daughter gets OT and speech. They both have received therapy before we moved to Asheville and we saw progress in both but coming to Carolina Pediatric Therapy has been such an improvement!! The therapists are amazing, they create plans special to each need and communicate with me regularly. The front desk attendant remembers names and makes my kids feel like they are special. The whole invite end is warm, friendly, and professional. I couldnt be happier with our descision to receive treatment from them, I highly reccomend this to everyone!

We saw a pediatric physical therapist here in fall of 2020 for mobility concerns with our daughter. We were able to get in quickly, which surprised me. However, the therapist we were scheduled with was inexperienced to the point of causing more harm than good. She seemed completely unable to read and interpret my 18 month old daughters emotional state; instead of warming up slowly, getting comfortable first, or even including me in the session (hey mom, can you see about trying this?), she just grabbed my daughter and started doing things. Laying her on her stomach on the wooden stairs (we dont have stairs at home, so a stranger picking her up and putting her on an unfamiliar object was scary), flipping her this way and that, not allowing her to reach for the edge of a platform for stability when trying to assess how she stands, all the while completely ignoring my daughters escalating cries and signs of distress. When I asked questions, I got vague answers that felt dismissive. Halfway through the second session, when my daughter was completely hysterical and red-faced crying, I picked her up and said we were done. The therapist looked completely shocked, and it took me repeating that we were done and were leaving before it seemed to register that the session wasnt going well. I called the practice afterwards and asked to speak with the practice manager; the receptionist referred me to the director for physical therapy. I called and left a message; she called me back during nap so I couldnt answer, however, I called back 3-4 times (and left a voicemail so she would know it was me) but never got a response.I saw other therapists at the practice who looked engaged and responsive, with kiddos who seemed to love their therapists, so Im hoping that our experience was an anomaly. However, due to the complete lack of responsiveness by the practice when I tried to share my concern and find a solution, we will not be returning, ever.
