I was in Asheville for a conference and ended up with terrible insomnia. I did some research on the local acupuncture clinics and found Sara. I was able to get in quickly. Sara was exceptional! She is very knowledgeable and took her time with a through history - asking many questions. She performed acupuncture skillfully and also did some cupping for my upper back and shoulder pain. Ive been to several acupuncturists and Sara is by far the BEST. She is thorough yet efficient. She has a caring, accepting bedside manner. She does everything! Needles, cupping, moxibustion and more. BONUS! I have found her to be the best at actually putting the needles in. I barely feel it most times!

Ive had numerous treatments with Sara treating various things like allergies, pulled muscles, neck, shoulder, and back pain. Ive had a number of different acupuncturists over the years (in NYC, New Orleans, and now here in Asheville), and Phil Ricker is the best. His skill has resolved a number of health issues for me such as carpal tunnel problems and sinus issues. I started seeing him about 4 years ago and consider him my primary doctor because Ive been so much healthier since I started having acupuncture treatments with him. The office is clean, calm, and a pleasant place to be.

I really did not have much knowledge of acupuncture before going to my first appointment at the center. Sara was so confident and knowledgeable, she immediately put me at ease about my treatment and made a concise game plan to address all my health concerns. I absolutely love cupping and it was the only thing to relieve the aggravating nerve pain I was experiencing in my left shoulder. However, my greatest experience was I had a day where I was feeling really under the weather. I debated cancelling my appointment because I woke up with a slight cold, a headache, and body aches. I went in anyway and after Sara worked her magic I left feeling like I was on Cloud 9! I really think Sara staved off a cold. I cannot recommend her treatment enough!
