Just some things to know about. First of all Time the Chaplin is excellent. Tim thank you for everything. Sorry to hear you are leaving. Now the best nurses that I give all props to are, Maddie and Tan. You two are the best. Now of all the nurses could be on the same page and not one telling you one thing and the next telling you something different. Then on top of that stop keeping things a secret unless the family ask. You guys need to be completely honest with the love one and family and stop beating around the bush and lying to the family. Another the nurse last night that was working when ask to something you should have done it and maybe my mother will still be here Today. Some of you have the worst attitude, if you dont want to work the get the hell out.

Moses Cone and Randolph County Hospice could not coordinate so my Mother had to stay in the miserable Hospital another night. Finally the next day my Mother was sent home. Hospice did not have a nurse there for another four hours. When she did arrive we were not given instruction on how the lift were to work, her meds were not available and equipment we needed was forgot. On the day mother died two days later all the equipment and other needed items did arrived via Fed Ex Mom was already dead. At least she was home where my Dad died. Otherwise get it together! 2 is being nice.

We tried to connect with this organization for a week while my mother was very ill. Your organization refused to admit her to hospice house – even the day before she died your organization said that she was not hospice appropriate for hospice house. Even when you guys had community home health and hospice saying she really needed to go to hospice house and had less than 36 hours to live. So I guess my mothers life didn’t matter to you guys. You had acute care beds but refused to help us. Shame on you.

Doing Gods work. Hospice stepped into our lives at a time when my husband and I were at our wits end. My mother was gravely ill from complications of a stroke that she had suffered three months prior. My husband and I did not know it but she was actively dying. We did not know the signs. We only knew something was very different. Our home health care nurse contacted Hospice and they came to our house that day and accessed our situation and guided us on what was best for mama. They advised us that mama probably had less than two weeks. They were right. She passed eight days later. They took my mama into the facility and gave her absolutely phenomenal end of life care. This is the cleanest medical facility we have ever seen and the staff and volunteers are exemplary. They kept my mother clean and comfortable in a loving environment. Words cannot express how grateful we are to everyone who took care of Martha Nell Welch. After her passing they offered us grief counseling and stayed in touch. They dont just take care of your loved one, they take care of your family too. If you find yourself in a similar situation and dont know what to do, do not hesitate to call Hospice. They gave us advice that no hospital or nursing home would offer. Thank you Hospice of Randolph County for giving my little mama the best care!

Honestly I’m not one to leave reviews little along bad reviews. This has been the worst experience. My father in law was in their care and we never got updates on what all they were doing and what different things they were going to try. I had to call myself to talk to Amy for answers. They called my husband who called me and said there was a decline in his health. Once my mother in law and I arrived a few ladies stopped me and asked where the rest of the family was. This is when we found out he had passed. Once we found out he had passed not even 10-15 mins Amy was at my mother in law asking the plans we had for him and so desperate to get ahold of a cremation place. I’m sorry my but mother in law just found out she lost her husband .. why would you be so concerned about plans for him? She didn’t even allow her a moment to breathe and understand what was going on. Yes they offered snacks and said if we needed anything to just ask but after that we never heard from them again. It’s truly disappointing and I don’t want anyone else experiencing this. Please if you can go with Hospice of the Piedmont. I know this is just one bad experience but if I can stop it from happening to another family I’d be okay.
