I hired Ashley to be my doula for my second home birth. She was highly recommended to me by my midwife and I couldn’t have been happier with my experience! Ashley has sooo much knowledge of all things birth which is great, but what makes Ashley so valuable is the peace and comfort that she brought to my whole pregnancy. I had a really rough pregnancy and having her be there for me when I needed someone was so helpful. She brought that same peace and calm to my birth and I really believe that she helped me have such a smooth experience! She sat with me and watched as contractions got more intense. She communicated with my midwife for me while I labored. I loved how she made me feel so comfortable and safe. I am so thankful she was a part of my pregnancy and birth journey and that she is now a friend!

Ashley is a wonderful doula! The first thing my husband and I did when we found out I was pregnant was to look for a doula. When we interviewed Ashley we loved everything about her and knew she would be a great fit. We were trying to decide whether to have another hospital birth or try a home birth and Ashley helped guide us in making our decision to have a home birth. She checked in on me throughout my pregnancy and was great to have during my birth. There’s so many little things that go on while in labor that you don’t realize how nice it is to have someone, besides your husband, to help. One of the best parts about hiring Ashley as our doula was her postpartum support. She went above and beyond for me. She picked up my placenta pills and brought them to my house, brought a gift basket, let me borrow baby carriers and even brought my older daughter a gift for her birthday. I am so happy to have found Ashley she truly marked a difference in our pregnancy and postpartum journey.

Ashley is one of the most incredible, passionate, kind and trustworthy human beings I have ever met. She helped guide my husband and I through every step of planning our HBAC. I attribute our success largely to her and her knowledge. Having experienced her own HBAC after 3 c sections, she knew EXACTLY how to prepare and guide me. She was so helpful when it came to getting my husband on board also, she provided us with scientific information that helped my husband be more at ease with our decision to not only birth at home, but birth naturally after having a surgical birth. I can’t thank Ashley enough for everything she did to help us with the arrival of our baby boy! We couldn’t have asked for a more kind, calm, strong, skilled and helpful doula. Seriously, I was in labor for 48hrs and she was right there to help keep me AND my partner sane! We wanted to have a home birth and so Ashley also helped me stick to my birth plan. I will definitely ask her to be my doula for baby number two and refer her to friends and family!

There is a reason why they call doulas birth angels. Ashley is a god sent for sure! My husband and I like so many couples were on the fence about hiring a doula. We eventually decided that having one would make us feel more at ease with our first born.We stumbled upon Birth within Doula and I am SO happy we did. The amount of love, thought and care this woman pours into each client is beyond any care you would get from a normal provider.We had originally planned on using a birth center and doing an all natural birth with a midwife. Ashley helped mentally prepare us and made us feel confident in our decision.Even though my birth went completely different then I had planned (which I learned is just about how every birth goes!), Ashley was still there every step of the way. She was my strength when I felt discouraged. She was my calm when I felt scared.Its the little things she does for you that make her outstanding. Shes really only a phone call or text away. She is so knowledgeable about her passion and gives endless resources.Even after our unplanned c section, Ashley still continuously reached out to me to see how I was emotionally, mentally, and physically.This was our first pregnancy. I have no idea what the next pregnancy and birth journey will be like but I know I want Ashley right there with me again.

This woman is incredible. Her strength, passion, and kindheartedness has made a true impact on me. I sat in for Ashley’s midwife and provided her with some prenatal care while her midwife was on maternity leave, and I really got to know her. She holds immense passion for human rights, and women’s rights, and I can assure you, you would be hiring the cream of the crop advocate in the case of a hospital birth. Not only does she care about women and the right to choice, but she understands the unspoken roles in the birth room. She is comfort when you need it, strength when you need it, and she gets along well with so many. I highly highly recommend Ashley and the services she provides. As a fellow birth worker (midwife) in this community I have worked along side her and have not one bad thing to say. She is a wonderful woman and would be nothing but an asset to your birth support team!

My experience with Ashley is one I’ll never forget and I hope to be connected to her for life. I started talking to Ashley only 3 weeks into my pregnancy and she was an amazing source of support until even after my baby was born. She’s always available to answer a text or call, meets up regularly to talk and chat in person and to give you even more resources, has a witty humor unlike any other which is soooo refreshing, is so supportive of every decision you make and ended up being a good friend in the end. Unfortunately due to Covid she was not able to be in the room when my son was born but she was texting the entire time offering so much help. I will 1000% hire her my next child and have already recommended her to a few pregnant friends.

Ashley was a huge support with my vbac home birth. She helped me process and come to terms with my previous c-section, and feel ready and secure in my choice to have my second son at home. She is a tender and capable doula, who I highly recommend.

As a first time parents we werent sure if we needed a doula and we waited until the last month to hire Ashley. Ashley is an awesome doula. As a midwife I recommend all of my clients at least meet her. She offers the perfect amount of support, calm and peaceful energy that a birthing woman needs. Ashley has lots of experience with birth, what is normal, and how to help a woman accomplish her goals. She specializes in helping Vbac mamas as she had of Vbac with her most recent birth . Having a Doula at your birth, to me, is more of a necessity than a luxury. If you hire Ashley you will not be disappointed!

Ashley was exactly what I needed! I had a vbac last month and theres no way I would have been able to do it without her! I received a lot of pressure from my OB to schedule a repeat csection; for no medical reason. Ashley helped keep me remain calm and confident in my decision to continue to pursue a vbac despite pressure from my doctor, being past my due date, and losing confidence in myself. She stayed by my side throughout my long induction, kept me calm, eased my fears, and ultimately kept me from having a repeat c-section. My wife and I decided to hire a doula after lots of back and forth on if we needed one or not. In the end I couldnt have done it with out her. She was a great support to both my wife and myself and relief for me during my wifes 45 hour birth. Both her and myself worked well together supporting my wife and doing it all with very little sleep. Doulas arent just for the birther they are for the birthers partner as well!
