Nurse - Arnold, MO Actually NO stars! This company is about money and control over the employees. Autocratic management. Mentally unstable manager of Maple, threatens and gaslights employees. After taking assignment, did rounds and noted at least a dozen residents fetal positioned in bed with their dinner trays untouched, gnats and flies all around the food and employees couldnt be found.Noted some nurses actually leave their assigned floors and leave the premises! No nurse on the floor for long periods of time. They just leave. Some nurses sleep, do not pass meds.A long time friend of mine was admitted here and it was a complete embarrassment knowing she associated me with this filthy facility. Her sister wrote a review of that stay!Extremely dangerous environment! READ THAT AGAIN!!!When an employee resigns, they are paid minimum wage for their last paycheck! When a company is this disrespectful to their employees, imagine how they treat their residents!!! Think about that before admitting here or working here!

We had to turn in the Rehab 2 Home care for verbally abusing my mother. When we would come in she would not have water at her table. When my mother called me her PT Lisa came in and my mother told her she was dizzy. She told my mother to stop being dramatic. I shouted through the phone not to talk to my mother that way. The next day, my mother told me she needed something while we were on the phone, so I told her to hit the button. When the helper answered her, she yelled at her stating that she told her to stop pressing her button without letting my mother state what she needed. My mother stated they were mean and it was proven directly to me.Also, communication was lacking from admissions. The day that my mother was admitted from the hospital, I called and left a message for Chad. He never called back. I made it clear to Kim in Social Work, that I never received responses from him. Also, I was on the phone with Kim after my mom left and my work headset died which hung up my phone. When I called back, she did not answer and left her a voicemail. I let her know what happened and also that my mother was missing clothing and blankets. She never responded back.DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE.

My mother in law stayed here for rehab after a gallbladder episode where she had a tube inserted. It was impossible to find anyone around caring for the patients. She got so dehydrated and weak that she could not feed herself but the “skilled nursing” just left a tray and did not help her eat. After 2 weeks she was sent to the doctor as a followup for the tube and to see if she was healthy enough for gallbladder surgery. The doctor sent her to the ER because her tube was misplaced, she was malnourished, dehydrated and had bed sores. I filled a complaint and received a response that indicated this would be invested and a response would be sent. Well never heard a peep after and when she was released from hospital we moved her to another location. How do this places get approved by Medicare? It is not right!

My sister was there for rehab. Her room was dirty, she only had one shower in the two weeks she was there. The physical therapist finally gave her one. Medication was always late to be given to her. Very small portions of food. When the nurse call button was used it took a long time for someone to show up. These are just a few of the complaints. I would never ever recommend this place !!!!!!

I believe they are short staffed. But the care has been really good. The only thing I noticed is that he has fallen because he has bruises on his back and buttocks and no one notified me. Just a few tweaks and this place is great.

After a rough start things improved. The food is good. Therapy worked hard to get me walking again. Nurses are nice especially Theresa. I really want to thank the therapy department . Some aids are better than others. That is true at any place. Social worker and activities dept. are great.

Dont expect much. They never answer the phone particularly the second shift. The leave the patient without the call light many times, I have had 2 people that work there go beyond the call of duty, Denise the receptionist and Marcus in the nursing staff. I feel sorry for anyone who has their family member in this facility.By the way I am a credible reviewer because I have a former family in their for 18 years.

Make sure this place is familiar with your issue before you go! My husband broke his tibia and fibula, he couldn’t have surgery for 2 weeks b/c he developed an infection while in the hospital. The case worker at the hospital found a “safe place” for him to go so I had to move him to The Woodlands, A.K.A. The House of Pain! Upon arrival to the facility I had to inform the nurse of the hardware that was on my husband’s leg – they didn’t know what it was called, this should have been our clue to RUN! No medication was available until the next day and the staff was unaware that my husband had an infection so they had no medication to treat it. On day 2, my husband was visited by the assigned “house Doctor”. To say the least, Dr. Wan should only be allowed to practice medicine at Guantanamo Bay! His mannerism is far from humane, he scoffed at us on more than one occasion and repeatedly said “I’ve been a doctor for 45 years so I’ve seen it all”. He forced a nurse to change my husband’s dressings that said she was not comfortable doing so and asked if he could find another nurse to do it, he rudely said “change it” to the nurse, so she did her best! The doctor refused to call the hospital doctor regarding my husband’s condition until I told the nurse that it was unacceptable. He then tried to lower the anxiety medication prescribed to my husband and offered no explanation. At this point several staff members suggested that we try to change house doctors but that it could not be done until Monday, it was only Saturday. When my husband requested a wheelchair to get out of bed the staff told him that no one on duty had a key to the closet that had the leg supports for the wheelchairs, so he was never able to get out of his bed for 2 days. My husband’s prescribed medications were never sorted out properly and I was given paperwork that stated he was given medication when I know for a fact it was not given to him. The staff was no longer helpful by Sunday morning and was basically telling us to leave and go back to the hospital. So I called an ambulance to pick my husband up to take him back to the hospital as his pain was out of control and he hadn’t eaten in 2 days. Once we got to the ER, the doctors said it seemed that he had been poorly placed by the hospital and that The Woodlands didn’t know how to care for him properly. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND DON’T LEVAE A LOVED ONE HERE!

Our father was in Woodland and we never really had a problem with them. Now our mother is in there and we have had nothing but problems with there communication with us. If you talk to 3 different people you will get 3 different answers or no answers at all. I was actually lied to at one point. Dont trust them to tell you the truth. Ask every one the same question and see how many different answers you receive. They do seem to take good care of the residents.AN UPDATE: On Aug 6 we found out that mom had been in their covid unit for 2 weeks and NO ONE CALLED TO INFORM US THAT SHE TESTED POSITIVE! Luckily, she did not get really sick. Woodland has been reported to the state. They did send her back to the regular hall the next day. I asked why we werent notified to begin with and the nurse supervisor, Jennifer, said she didnt know. We have been lied to constantly.2nd update as of Apr 23, 2021IF AT ALL POSSIBLE DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! Mom passed away last night and we went to collect her belongings. We received very little back. A large very nice picture (20 x 24 size) that one of her granddaughters gave her of all the grandchildren was missing plus a picture board I had made for her plus all the pictures that were in the frame or on the picture board were missing. THAT PLACE APPEARS TO BE FULL OF LIARS AND THIEVES.

My brother was sent from the hospital to woodlands for physical rehab. Unfortunately an underlying condition made him unable to participate in the therapy. He was sent back to hospital 4 days into his stay. After the underlying condition was cleared up he was sent back for rehab. At that time they decided not to give him PT based on his performance at his earlier stay. He was there for 8 days. He was not gotten out of his bed even once. He was not bathed even once. He returned to the hospital dirty, smelly and with a blood clot in his leg from laying there with no actual care given to him.

Paid for 3 months of care in advance. Due to an entry misinterpreted in the patients medical record (corrected & CLEARED by a Dr.), admittance was denied. BEWARE, as they seem quick to deny stay. Thank God, Delmar Gardens has been very accommodating and understanding whereas Woodlands has fallen short. Tammy Fink and Terry Malone of the Woodlands were extremely helpful and very understanding. However the administrator at the Woodlands was the complete opposite. Because of the admin and admittance staff, I would stay away from trusting that your loved ones well being is #1 priority.

For the most part the workers are nowhere to be found. Or there’s just one worker who’s actually working. It’s ridiculous. They are so easy to let go of workers when they desperately NEED all the workers they can get.

My mother was taken here for rehab they are not giving her rehab and are trying to keep in the nursing home itself. They will not bathe her or give her her pain meds unless she absolutely needs them. They themselves have decided to put her on comfort measures only against the will of her family.DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE.

My mom had a stroke and was taken from St Anthonys Hospital to Woodland Manor for re-hab. It was evident to the entire family that mom would not recover. She is 90 years old and the stroke took away her ability to speak, drink or walk. The two weeks my mom spent in re-hab was great for her. The physical therapy helped her regain her speech and she was able to start eating pureed food. She didnt make enough progress for her insurance to allow her to stay more than 2 weeks, we expected this. Woodland Manor was very helpful in arranging her transition to the nursing home side of this facility. I cant begin to say enough about the CNAs and nurses that have been caring for my mom on both the re-hab side and the nursing home side. They are patient and are quick to respond to ANY request my family makes. They go above and beyond to help. The nursing home is clean and well kept. I have been in a few other nursing homes to visit people and NONE of them can compare to Woodland Manor. If you have been in many nursing homes, you probably know that the smell of urine can be extremely prevelent. This is not the case at Woodland Manor. I have a very large family and we are ALL 100% satisfied with how our mom is being treated. She has been there for about 6 weeks or so. She is now on hospice and thanks to the care she is receiving at Woodland Manor, she will be ending her life in the most dignified way possible. When looking for a nursing home for your loved one, look at a few and then look at Woodland Manor, you wont be dissappointed.
