We used exceptional electrics for everything in our new home- new panel, can lighting, all the electric extension work in our new addition and had a wonderful experience. Lyle was awesome to work with- very knowledgeable and happy to guide us. Best of all he installed our “artsy” chandelier (came without any clear instructions) perfectly! They kept the area very clean, and were courteous throughout the entire process. A pleasure to work with- thank you again!!

The office personnel (Monica and JoDonna)and electrician (Phil) were very courteous and knowledgeable. They are an EXCEPTIONAL Crew!! I told them what we needed done which was a lot to do with a very limited time that needed to be completed, and all tasks completed with exceptional work and fast!! I used them to install ground wiring in the majority of my outlets on the first and second floor of my house in Kirkwood, MO. Andrew, the technician, had to trench and make holes in my walls. But my plasterer was very impressed because she says there is not a lot of exploratory holes. She is so impressed she wanted their number since she lost the electricians she use to work with due to COVID.

We had 6 additional outlets installed in our garage, under cabinet lighting installed in our kitchen, and 3 additional recessed lights installed in our kitchen.Rich, the owner, came by the house and was prompt. He listened to understand the scope of the project, documented the requirements, and took pictures of the areas where work was to be performed. There were a couple of items on my list that Rich said I could easily correct myself, which I felt comfortable doing, and told me hed be happy to do it but Id save myself a little bit of extra money by fixing the issue myself, and he was right. He was honest in his assessment of the work I was asking to do, and I felt my best interests were top of mind. I was sent a bid in a timely manner, and any questions or amendments I had were quickly addressed. On the day the work was scheduled, Rich came with his electrician, Greg. You can tell that Rich and Greg reviewed the game plan ahead of arriving at the house as it was clear Greg had reviewed the pictures ahead of time. You can see that Greg had already been thinking through a game plan, and before any work was done, Rich and Greg wanted to ensure that they understood my asks and that we all were on the same page. Greg got to work and was exceptional. We really enjoyed having Greg here at the house, and he treated our home as if it were his own. Greg cleaned up after everything, and the quality of work was top notch. While this was during Covid, Greg wore his mask the entire time. Id highly recommend Exceptional Electric. Their prices are fair, and the quality of work was very good. Greg had to make multiple cuts into our drywall and everything was reinstalled flush such that re-taping and mudding wont be a problem at all. A+ I submitted some pictures of the work, notably the install of the additional recessed lighting and under cabinet lighting. I also wanted to show the drywall work and how much care was taken to ensure we can have it repaired with ease. Not pictured is the work we had done in the garage but those were just outlet installs though that was no small task as a lot of work was done there.

The service technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. I ended up waiting six months for a replacement breaker that never came. At first I didnt mind because I was told that it would take some time to get the correct one since the style was so outdated. After calling I was told that the replacement was lost. I asked what would have happened if I didnt call to inquire and got the impression that they wouldnt have done anything.I had gotten tired of waiting and fixed the problem myself. When I called I requested a different size breaker or a refund. They found a used one and said it would be shipped in a few days. I called back 1.5 weeks later and it still hasnt shipped. I was told that it will ship out today. The extra star is for their tech and flexibility (albeit slow).

I had several electrical projects completed by Exceptional including a new panel, some small appliances and outdoor service. Despite bad weather and some administrative hiccups the technicians got everything done quickly and professionally and the cost was very reasonable.

Phil came out and diagnosed the problem quickly. Fixed our issue promptly and rate was fair. He explained everything thoroughly and was courteous. Will definitely call them for any future needs.

Contracted them to install overhead fan in our living room that did NOT currently have existing light/fan fixture there before. Took them around 2.5 hours to complete from start to finish which was pretty amazing in my eyes. I love their no BS quoting model...none of this show up fee+material+hourly garbage lots of other contractors will try to sell you. Greg was our contractor and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to a friend!

Not to quick for getting an estimate. The technician gave me an estimate verbally and when the written quote came it was almost double in price.

Professional, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, reliable, helpful, honest... they explained the work in an understandable way. Greg was the tech for a lighting problem we were experiencing as well as installing/replacing an attic fan. He was considerate and kind as well as respectful of our time. He clearly knew what he was doing and was able to complete each job quickly but with excellent quality. I will be keeping the card on the fridge and the number in my phone for future projects. I recently found a scary thing in my home electric panel, burned and melted breakers which included the main along with plastic cover safety strip that runs from the top to the bottom of the panel. I contacted Exceptional Electric in Arnold Mo at 3613 Telegraph who came out gave a quote ( which was a very good quote ) and started the repairs at 8:00 am with completion at 2:30 the same afternoon. Would recommend this exceptional electric location to anyone in need of electrical work. This business did not do the work that they said they had done at the time. After I discovered this, they refused to return and complete the work unless I paid an additional service fee. In my experience, if the job is not done right the first time, it is the business responsibility to fix the problem on their dime, but not the customers.We had multiple electric outlets that were not functioning properly, so we asked him to check all the outlets in the house. He said he had checked them, but he actually never checked if the outlets were grounded.Grounding is a major safety function of any three-pronged outlet ensuring that it should be covered in any proper check.Since safety is apparently not a priority for them, we wont be using their services again.
