Adore Children and Family Services is by far one of the best agencies in VA. The CEO and staff are so patient with parents and helpful to the public. The public information sessions held are so insightful to prospective families. I look forward to completing the process. #ADORE 1

Worst agency I have ever worked for! They work you to the bone and treat employees like dogs. I’ve read the reviews of past employees and it’s a shame that they cannot even take accountability. Ashley, you’re company is horrible, it’s managed horribly and karma will come back to you and to Tina! And past staff obviously won’t use their real names, I can 100 percent counter claim Vivian’s review, no lies were detected in her review. When you know better, you’ll do better!

I worked there for two years while we lived in the area. The staff is great - has the utmost concern for the children in their care and the foster parents. In my experience there, we had foster parents and children of varying ethnicities and not one was favored over another. I believe that the need in the area might be predominantly Spanish speaking children and in order for communication and the desire to make them feel as comfortable as possible in an unfamiliar place, they may be in search for more Spanish speaking homes. With such a large number of children in foster care, and finding families who are qualified for the job, I’ve never known them to turn families away. I truly believe the work they do is amazing.

If I could give this place a 0, I absolutely would. The agency has a very high turn over rate due to their unprofessionalism, lack of respect for their employees and are all about money. I have witnessed on countless occasions the director Tina Andrews and other people in management talk badly about other staff members, they have unrealistic expectations and are quick to say Youre not doing anything. They have such small numbers of case managers and case workers that it makes it very difficult to live up to their unrealistic expectations. If you want to become a foster parent with this agency, READ the reviews first, any good reviews you read are BS more than likely, but they have more negative than good anyway. Your case worker will likely change multiple times due to the fact that they cant keep anyone, they either fire them or they quit. The owner Ashley James is barely involved and shows up ever so often, her mother Tina Andrews acts as director, shes an ex lawyer who has no business running a foster care agency and is extremely phony and rude. This agency is unorganized, they dont practice COVID guidelines (such as social distancing, abiding by the mask mandate) what so ever and have no ethical morals. They finesse things in order for some homes to become licensed, thats how they get paid and they want that money. Example; they were paying for a foster parents apartment who couldnt afford a larger apartment in order to become licensed, if you cannot afford an apartment then you should not be fostering. Another example, Tina Andrews had a personal friend who wanted to become licensed, but her friend was a hoarder. Tina hired a cleaning company to come and clean the home in order for her friend to become licensed, umm... Thats a mental disorder and she needed to take care of her excessive hoarding issues before bringing a foster child into her home. SERIOUSLY this place is all about making money and they do not care about their employees (foster parents included). If you are thinking about working here, let that be as far you go (thinking) DO NOT APPLY! IF YOU WANT TO FOSTER, GO ELSE WHERE there are so many better agencies to choose from than this dump of an organization. I am sure that Ashely will respond to this post with some generic response about email me and lets discuss this or ask current foster parents and employees to write positive reviews in order for their 2.8 rating (well 2.5 now actually) to go up. If you read previous posts, youll see that all of the positive comments were written during the same time as the negative reviews, those reviews are BOGUS. I want all of Virginia to see through your BS of an agency, I have watched numerous individuals just walk out, including the assistant director, this place is not for the faint of heart, if you are already involved with ADORE, RUN! If youre heading their direction, REDIRECT YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY!

I have both been a foster parent with these wonderful people and not only had a great experience that truly was life changing. In fact because we ended up adopting because of this wonderful group. I highly recommend connection with them!

This place only caters to Spanish people, my wife and I spoke to a recruiter and they told us they’re only looking for Spanish foster parents. That’s called discrimination.
