I have been Dr. La’s patient now for about 15 years. He and his staff are professional and courteous every step of the way. I never wait long for my appointment. The front desk will text me about my appointment, which is so nice, so I can respond right away. My cleanings are painless and quick. I’ve had multiple dental interventions performed on my teeth, by him, and every time I’m more than satisfied by his work. The front desk ladies help me understand my bill with the insurance company and take the time to explain before I pay. I highly recommend Dr. La and his team.

DR. LA did a great job with my sons extractions. He was attentive and kind. The entire staff is welcoming and kind. We have been attending over a year and a half and I continued to be pleased with every visit. Such a calm environment. We feel at ease when we visit AFD, my family has mentioned that the dentist and staff are very gentle with their care. I also get follow ups after surgical attentional and through instructions when needed!

Dr. La is the most meticulous dentist I have ever had. I feel so blessed to have found his office. I had extensive dental work done by him in the last few years and it is always top quality. If youre concerned about needles, dont worry, he has a way of injecting novacane so you dont feel the needle. I go every 6 months for routine cleaning and they are the best. The staff are always helpful and eager to assist with scheduling and billing.

I have finally found a fantastic dentist and I could not be happier! The office is conveniently located near I20 with plenty of parking. The lobby is clean and inviting, with comfortable seating and a restroom. You are always greeted with a smile by the front office staff. Dr. La is very professional and genuinely cares about his patients. He evaluated my situation and explained everything to me in great detail. He made sure I was comfortable and that I was not having pain during the procedures. I have taken my children ages 10 and 11 here and they had a pleasant experience as well. They have a treasure box the kids can get a small trinket from at the end of the service. Dr. La is an honest, caring, and skillful dentist that I would 100% recommend for the entire family.

I am TERRIFIED of going to the dentist. Had a LOT of work done last week...and I didnt have any pain with procedure. Dr. La is very nice, Cynthia made me feel like Id been going there forever. They told me what they were doing as they went, and asked frequently if I was okay. Ok! So Dr. La and his Dental Hygienist are amazing BUT his office staff are very incompetent. They never follow up like they’re supposed to and there’s always an issue with billing. You have to follow up with them and they still haven’t completed what you need. If Dr. La wasn’t amazing I would definitely find a new Dentist!

I went in today for the first time and it was an amazing experience. The lady who cleaned my teeth was Doddie and she was an absolute sweetheart! She was super kind and helped keep me calm by talking to me! Literally an absolute angel!! I also met Mr. James and he was super nice too! Excellent dentist and technicians. Had a double root canal done today and although it was not fun, I also did not have any pain the entire time. Dr. La is very thorough and is concerned that you do not have pain during the procedure. Brandy his technician was excellent also. Highly recommend!

The staff there are all so friendly and amazing! The lady at the front desk with the glasses is so nice and always greets me (I didn’t get her name) Dr La and some other young women (I didn’t get her name either) did my root canal and filled some cavities I had between my teeth. Dr. La and all of his staff are absolutely wonderful. The dental assistants there have been some of the nicest women Ive ever had the pleasure to meet. They truly care about your well being and they do good work. Dr. La is incredibly gentle when giving the numbing shots - you hardly even feel it and (unlike with previous dentist Ive been to) the shot locations arent painful later in the day.

Dr. La is very thorough and his staff is the best dental staff I have ever encountered. I went to get a root canal done. My old dentist told me I have very long roots and so couldnt reach them. He said I may lose my tooth eventually. Dr. La reached the long roots and made me feel at ease throughout the whole experience. I especially loved the computerized pictures of what is being done to my teeth. It gave me a better understanding of the root canal procedureI am recommending this practice to my family and friends.

Arlington Family Dentistry is absolutely wonderful. Dr La is very professional yet extremely approachable especially with my 5 year old daughter. He accesses the overall picture and health of a patient rather than just doing the immediate fix. With my 5 year old, he saved her temporary tooth instead of extracting it (easy fix) because that particular tooth normally stays in for another 3-4 years. You wont find a more competent and caring dentist.

I broke my front tooth one night. I called their office the next morning and the receptionist, Judy, calmed me down, was attentive and listened to my concerns. We made an appointment right then. The time between the phone call to being in the office was less than 1 hour. I was greeted by a very professional, caring, smart, empathetic dental hygienist named Brandy. She put my worries at ease, and Dr. La saw me within 2 minutes of being in the chair. He introduced himself and was genuine in his concern about getting my tooth fixed. I asked him about putting veneers on my front teeth and he said that my teeth were healthy and that I didnt need veneers. He was very knowledgable and gentle during my procedure and gave me a pain-free, beautiful tooth repair that matches my tooth color perfectly. He is a tooth artist.

A few years ago I had a traumatizing experience with a root canal. I was afterwords scared go to the dentist for even a cleaning.A friend recommended Dr. La to me when I was in need of another root canal. I have been going to Dr. La for 10+ years and can say that when I began my hands would be sweating I was so nervous. I was made comfortable from the beginning and have never been disappointed in the treatment I receive. I have had a lot of work done because I was very anxious of doctors in general and he and the staff have made it very tolerable for me.I do have health issues so Im a little bit more difficult to treat with my neurological disorder but they work around it and act like it isnt a big deal. Dr La is patient with me and his assistant Brandy has always treated me with such dignity and it sometimes is hard to find in the medical field. I would not ever want to go to another dentist or use a different assistant they make me feel safe and understand my plight. My teeth have been taken care of and we do mainly just routine things with an occasional filling.I have to give a shout out to his office staff as well they have always been polite and respectful and willing to help. It is nice to go in there and you are called by your first name and treated like you a person was missed and sometimes it has been a year for me.I would tell anyone especially those who have any anxiety about dentist to go to here you will begin to feel less anxious as you get to know that everyone there is doing their best to make you feel comfortable and do what you need.

This is my first time getting my fillings done with Dr La and he is excellent! It was quick and painless. I’ve has many dental work done before and the numbing shot was always very painful to me. Not with Dr La. I only felt a small pinch and that was it! With 2 fillings, I was done in 45 mins!! I highly recommend Dr La!

Dr. James La has been my dentist since 2001. Hes wonderful, and so is his staff. He gives me heads up about what Ill be needing in the future so I can budget. No pressure. Prices are reasonable (Ive compared with friends for similar services). I also love that hes picky-poo about how fillings/crowns/etc look aesthetically. They get me in at my appointment time. I have been coming to Dr. Las office for over 5 or 6 years now. Every time I go he and his staff are so friendly and professional. I could not imagine going somewhere else because sometimes I look forward to going to dentist now

In the past, I have had a really bad experience with my previous dentist. So much, that I left major dental work undone.A coworker recommended me to Dr. La. I was amazed by how engaging and personable he was. I have since recommended Dr. La to my friends and family. His staff took excellent care of me and made the experience a positive one.Not as fearful about the upcoming procedures.

Dr.La and his staff are very professional kind, caring and gentle. My family loves them best that we have every experienced. I highly recommend them.

Dr. La is awesome. Had 2 fillings and was terrified of getting the shots in my gums. To my surprise I didnt feel a thing. He walked me through the entire process and was super professional. Best dentist in DFW!

*Edit- ended up needing a root canal due to pain. Dr La and crew scheduled me in next morning and knocked it out. Pain gone, smile is back!Not being a fan of going to the Dentist, Dr La and his staff are great. In the 10+ years of visiting, I always feel comfortable and welcome, and leave feeling complete. I never actually mind going to the Dentist when it comes to Dr Las practice.

Dr. La is one of best dentist in Arlington. He has come in on weekend to help my son who broke his teeth off. He has fixed bad work from other providers for us. Now we use him only and my family has learned the same. Thank you Dr. La!

This was my first visit with AFD and I was quite impressed. The doctor and staff were very friendly. I originally went in for a tooth ache, I also received a deep cleaning which I noticed the difference immediately. But my dissatisfaction comes in on the follow up care. I was told I would receive a call back once insurance amount was verified.. well 2 weeks later after buying a temporary fill kit from Walmart to ease the pain still no call from office I had to call them. The rep was no help.advised me I needed to make another appointment and pay a copays to see what can be done about tooth thats bothering me lol Im so confused now when all those x-rays were taking on my first visit. Meanwhile I just went and bought another temporary fill . Im actually just ready to have it pulled from my mouth. I am disappointed in the aftercare attention I received which was NONE

I was in and out quickly without any of the pain I expected to get from getting my filling done. Good staff that makes you feel comfortable.

Dr La is great...He knows what hes doing... Smooth running office.. Everyone is friendly and helpful...

Dr. La and his office manager Mary went above and beyond for me late Friday afternoon when I had a dental emergency and I couldnt find anyone to see me. I live in Houston but was visiting family when I had an accident and my front tooth chipped at the bottom really badly. Dr. La was patient and was a perfectionist. He did an excellent job!! I would highly recommend him to friends and family!!!!

I had my wisdom tooth pulled by Dr. La. The process was very smooth, quick, zero issue, and painless. Dr. La was nice, helpful and did a great job.
