We had to change dental insurance, and I chose Dr Gilbert from Premier Dental. I read the Google reviews, and although everyone raved about Dr Gilbert, which I would agree, they said the office staff was not the easiest to get along with. Well, after talking to the staff and meeting them in person, that was an old set of staff that people didnt care for and left bad reviews on Google about. The current staff is WONDERFUL!!!! From Jennifer the office manager down to the receptionist, they were absolutely wonderful on the phone and in person. I highly recommend Dr Gilbert and his staff at Premier Dental!!

I found Dr. Gilbert through our Humana discount card and I am very happy with the care I recieved. He was able to take out my 2 upper molar, cracked metal fillings and do 3 receded gumline fillings to cover my dentin. He did all of this in 1 hour and 40 minutes! He is professional, focused and fast! I was afraid that the exchange of the fillings would crack my teeth as has been the case with my other 2 molars with other dentists, but my teeth have remained intact. I also had another filling done by Dr. G. The office and desk personnel is also very helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert!

Dr Gilbert’s staff refused to submit the claim to my insurance however Dr Gilbert said to reach out to him if I ever need help. He did not help at all. This place is a bunch of con artists trying to make a quick buck. Stay away for your own good

Im posting this on behalf of my parents who had a horrible experience with this business. My wife had dental surgery - tooth extraction done by Dr Knight on 12/13/19. We are both retirees who are dependent on our monthly Social Security checks. My complaint was that they didnt act in good faith in dealing with us. While at the waiting area of the office, I was told by the front desk staff that she needs $1,046.00 from me. I told her that its quite a large amount for us so I went inside to have the procedure stopped only to be told that my wife was already numbed. Isnt it customary and a standard procedure for a clinic to ask the customer - especially a senior citizen - if she is amenable to the amount before numbing her? My wife was not given that option. So I was forced to use my high-interest credit card to make the payment. But thats not the end of the story. Aside from the full payment of over a thousand dollars I made, our insurance company - Humana Dental Plan - paid them over $300.00 on 5/11/2020 which should have been sent to us. When my wife called them to send us that money, she was told to wait at least 2 weeks for a refund check. A month had passed and still no check. My wife called them today 6/12/2020 and a very rude staff member of this clinic didnt only give my wife a hard time, she hanged up on her. We intend to pursue this matter through the Illinois Attorney General Office and report the business practice of this dental clinic to the Better Business Bureau for their unfair business practice. While the cost of $1,000 wont impoverish us , its just the way this clinic conducted itself that riled me. How unprofessional could its front desk staff member be by saying in a loud voice - in the presence of other customers in the waiting area - I need money from you. She could just have called me and talked to me in a hushed tone at the counter. When I told her that the cost is too high and well just go to another clinic, I was told that my wife was already numbed. In order words, they didnt tell my wife of the cost and asked her if shes amenable. They didnt give my wife an option to either accept or refuse. They numbed her outright so we have no other choice but to go along. It is their Modus Operandi. A dental clinic like this one should not be in business.A rejoinder from friends:Thats true, Don. They take advantage of people and that receptionist needs training in customer service. How tactless! That cost is too high. Besides, theyre supposed to send you the bill after your insurance paid so you dont have to overpay as in your case. You have strong case Don. Also, report it to your insurance company so they they will take them out of your network. It happened to my brother-in-law. After his dentist did the extraction, he was offered a partial dentures which cost a lot. He declined their offer because he knew I had a friend who owns a dental lab and would only cost him 1/4 of what they want to charge him. Guess what? The dentist went ahead and billed the insurance company $1,500. And my brother-in-law only paid less than $400. to my friend for the same partials. Really, they scam people.Good for you, Don. Please file a report. Some of them even submit a bill to your insurance company even without your authorization for additional job like partial or full dentures. Some of them are crooks.Don A

No stars. Read the other Reviews. We experienced same. Have in-network dental insurance yet office claimed to need to do some extra cleaning not covered by insurance and asked for payment. We were prepared. Had insurance on the phone, asked for procedure code and verified extra cleaning was a covered benefit. When office informed, they asked, what is the big deal? It only $35. Office staff was rude, uniformed, and looking to commit insurance fraud. Cleaning was rough. When asked about the X-rays findings, the dentist said we could ask our orthodontist (braces off for over 8 months), for their most recent copy - they would have a better X-ray and know better? Called twice for X-ray follow-up. No one will call us back. STAY AWAY.

We changed insurance companies and this office came up. Needed a tooth pulled and set an appointment. Day of appointment rolled around and I went in early as asked to fill out paperwork. Had to take antibiotics an hour before due to a recent surgery. The staff then informed me that the appointment I’d waited weeks to have was just an “estimate “ appointment. They also waited till the day of to ask for a referral from my old dentist, tough to do on a Saturday. The staff is so unprofessional. They wanted all of my insurance information, which I supplied a week prior but never asked for the referral till the day of service.Don’t go here. Use a professional office with a properly trained staff. Heck, they don’t even have fish in their fish tank! We were hoping for a friendly, experienced staff and a pleasant dentist and they have neither.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. These people are ripoff artists. My wife and I had been going to another dentist for years and had few issues, if any. Now, after we had our first initial visit, they say she needs over $6000 in work done, and I need a special cleaning that costs about $650 (AFTER insurance). They then had my wife go in for a consult for a root canal. They said it would cost $30 for the consult. After the consult, they determined that she did not need the root canal. When she went to pay, they charged her $153.75, and said that, well, since she didnt need a root canal, it was a different kind of visit, so the charge is higher. Dont EVER go to these people unless you want to get ripped off!!!!!

Most office people are rude, they act like you need them, when there are so many choices. They never give anything to the kids, like a toothpaste and toothbrush, I am definitely switching, there are other places out there. The dr I have is nice, but office staff have a lot to work on. The reminders they sent dont correlate with their system, they send me a reminder to go to cleaning and it was at 5.5 months instead of 6 then they billed me for it. When I questioned the charge I was told its my responsibility to keep track and they have nothing to do with the reminders. No problem, there are other offices out there that can help me keep on track with the cleanings.

Told me I needed copious amounts of work done. (I only went in to check on my wisdom teeth!) It was a hassle getting them to forward my file to my uncle (hes a dentist, but lives too far for me to go to him) I emailed them the release form, faxed the release form, walked in TWO separate times to turn it in/fill out a new one. My unlce had to call and demand it. When he checked my x-rays (and then my teeth because I was in town) he was ashamed of them. I didnt need any of the work they said (2 fillings, 4 root canals and a deep cleaning). If youve been here, get a second opinion, if you havent.. dont go.

I had a 6:30 pm appointment this evening (even showed up 20 minutes early because they called and said I could come early.) The dental hygienist came out to get me but literally didn’t even say anything to me at first. She just looked at me, heavily sighed, then finally mumbled my name. As she walked me back, she was drastically putting her head back as if I was keeping her awake, then in the exam room she KEPT LOOKING AT THE CLOCK! Look, your office schedules appointments at this time so don’t take it out on the patient. After a long day, I too would like to be at home. I also have a job, and I don’t want to always take a day off to come to the dentist. Bottom line, she made me feel like a huge burden. Also, the lady who seems in charge (older with bright blonde hair) gave me attitude and huffed and puffed when I told her I didn’t receive a referral in the mail. She said, “well, it was sent, it says RIGHT HERE on your paperwork!” A week later I got a call saying they had my old address on file. Oops! No apologies. If I didn’t like the actual dentist, I’d have left loooooooong ago. I recommend some customer service training.

On January 29, 2018, I called Premier Dental to find out if they accept my sons new insurance. Over the phone I gave the receptionist the information and she said yes, we accept that insurance. So I made an appointment for February 1, 2018. The day of his appointment, I told the receptionist that this is my son’s new insurance card. The receptionist told me that the cost to have the top wisdom pulled would be $380. I said ok. Then she handed me an itemized listing of the cost with my insurance card. I went downstairs to get something in my car at the same time I was looking at my bill and I realized on the itemized bill it had my old insurance information which had expired 4 years ago. As I’m walking back to the office, my phone starts to ring. It’s Premier dental. I told the receptionist before she even said a word, this billing is through my old insurance which is not active. The receptionist said yes, I made a mistake. I told the receptionist, that’s why I handed you my new insurance and told you this is his new insurance card. She said, I know I made a mistake. I told her I’m getting off the elevator and I’ll be there shortly. The receptionist was processing the new insurance but kept saying it an error. She then called the person that handles their billing, and she couldn’t process the insurance in their system. I told the receptionist I need to know how much it’s going to be before you do anything. It was two hours later and they still couldn’t figure it out. I told the receptionist I’ll go home and call the insurance because I can’t wait any longer, I have another appointment. When I called Premier dental again I told the receptionist that the insurance company told me that you would have to go through my son’s health insurance because the wisdom tooth are impacted. The receptionist told me that Dr Eric Osmolinski said he is not going to see my son. I told her what? Yes he said to go some where else. The receptionist didn’t give me any reasons as to why. Almost three months later I receive a bill from Premiere Dental for $175 for a consultation. I was never told of any consultation fee. The only cost she mentioned was for the extraction of his top wisdom tooth. When I called regarding this bill I spoke with Jennifer. After I explained to Jennifer what happened she said she will forward this information on to have a one time curiosity charged waived. A week later I called Jennifer and she told me that they weren’t going to waive the charges because I didn’t provide them with any insurance card. I told Jennifer you are now lying and all you want to do is scam people. If you read their reviews my story is no different than what others experienced. This is fraudulent.

I can honestly say that one of the prior reviews should be discounted simply for the fact that the one thing I can verify isnt true. X-rays dont take days to develop. Its always minutes when I go there. A couple minutes (which is basically instant for X-ray). I cant speak for the rest of the review since it would have required that I had witnessed it first hand. The staff is always friendly and Ive received excellent treatment from 3 different dentists/surgeons. Dr. Lehman, Dr. Sutkowski and Dr. Abdullah are all first class. Super friendly and explained each treatment. Over the last 3 years Ive going there for many issues from cleanings to root canals to crowns and even gum grafts Dr. Lehman even gives out his home phone number in case you have any complications. Who does that anymore? Its a good feeling. I highly recommend this group. They have everyone there so you dont have to be referred out either.

Beware! My daughter and I have been Premier Dental customers for years. We have always paid at time of visit. Apparently Corporate took over billing a year ago. (And BTW staff told me there is no way for me to speak to Corporate about my billing). Corporate sent my bill for $100 to collections - and mind you my daughters account has a credit that they owe me! The staff argued with me that theyve sent me a bill each month. I have not received any bills nor a courtesy call. Im very displeased with the way the staff and Corporate has handled this situation. I will not be returning to Premier Dental and will make sure anyone inquiring about them are aware of the lack of customer service and lack of concern for their long term customers.

Ok, so the only reason I selected this dentist was because it was next to a Japanese supermarket I like going to. What a HUGE mistake. 45 minutes behind schedule, no apology. For 10 of the minutes in the lobby the receptionist was arguing with a patient about needing to provide her social security number. Then there was 15 minutes of waiting next to the x-ray equipment because someone else is on it. The arms on the chair are rusty and the fixture on the sink is too. There are wall fixtures of some sort (trash?) Being stored in the corner of the room. Is there really only 1 x-ray machine?I guess no room was reserved for me because i wait 15 more minutes after my xrays to go an open room. Theres very little privacy, the chairs are open air. I walked by one and the dentist was chewing gum while they worked, is that professional? At least it was under a mask.So the receptionist just walked by my exam room and said she was going to start taking the x-rays for the people waiting in the waiting room because they have been waiting for too long. Total vote of confidence there. Its now 6:00 off of a 4:45 appointment and I have yet to see the doctor or hygienist. Im contemplating leaving.Guess what! The assistant who did my first x-rays screwed them up. Its now 6:15 and I have to get them redone. Its becoming entertaining how bad this place is. Now theres another 5-10 minute wait for the x-rays to develop. Is this a teaching dentist practice? The doctor just had to explain to the assistant that there were 32 teeth and had to explain the meaning behind distal and lingual. I think I am now qualified to work here.6:51 and I still here. They must have screwed up my appointment because I requested a cleaning...no cleaning was done. More than 2 hours for an appointment just for the doctor to poke around for 10 minutes? No suprise...Its been 30 minutes since I was told they would be providing me a list of treatment I need. I can not believe how SLOW this place is.I kid you not, they had to reprint my treatment plan 5 times because they noticed a mistake each time they printed it. I can not believe how unprofessional this place is.Im calling another dentist tomorrow...

This place is HORRIBLE! I had a front tooth that broke and I needed it to be extracted. Dr. Abdullah did the extraction. I needed novocaine shots for the extraction and he just shoved the needle hard into the roof of my mouth. There isnt much tissue up there and Ive had many a shots before from dentists and this was the WORST and most PAINFUL experience Ive ever had! After the tooth was extracted he told me that I needed a bone graft because my bone that the tooth was attached to was too thin and couldnt hold an implant. I agreed thinking Im in good hands. He shoved the granular graft material so hard into my open hole that my head was pushed back violently. I had a sore neck the next day. After about 3 months, I decided to go to a different dentist to get an implant screwed into my new stronger bone, thats what I thought anyway. When the new dentist opened me up to see how my bone was, which included more shots but he did a very good job and it wasnt that painful, he saw that there was some puss in the hole where the graft had been put in. The graft did nothing and my bone had a crack in it! I told him how violently Dr. Abdullah had forced the graft into the hole and he said that could have cracked my bone. So, The graft didnt work, I got a cracked bone instead, I had to go through 3 months hell and pay over $1,000 out of pocket, ALL FOR NOTHING!!!! I had to go to a GOOD dentist and do everything over again!!! If you have money to burn and time to waste, then this place is for you, but I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!!

Very Strategic on how they target people for money. In fact, reading from comments on their review sites, I can tell how the administrative staff is trained on how to do up selling. I moved from another state so I pick this joint. Requested that all I need is just regular cleaning like what I have been doing for years. The staff asked- do you need regular cleaning or DEEP CLEANING. (Strike #1) I told them that I just need regular cleaning. I asked right up front whether they would like to have hard copy or soft copy(e-mail) of my dental records. They told me to forward my dental records to their e-mail address. When I made it their, the lady said due to some e-mail issues, she never received dental records. I had paper copy that I gave it to them. Somehow same question came from admin. staff again, are you hear for general cleaning or DEEP CLEANING? (Strike # 2) In the examination room, I was told by Dental Tech that I need to re-do a total new set of x-rays. (Strike # 3). I told her that I already brought mine. She said I will call the doctor. Dr. Gilbert came to talk, and he didnt see it. He went back and said, the paper copy is not good enough. Digital would have been better. (Strike # 4) He said since you have TRI-CARE, you will be covered anyway. (Strike #5..unnecessary treatment/services. He sure did review what I have on insurance but didnt bother to look my dental records). And, said that even though if you are not cover, we will cover it for you for free. (Strike # 5...Upselling continued). The dental tech was torturous at x-rays. Dr. Gilbert came and started evaluation, and concluded that I need to have DEEP CLEANING done. (Strike # 6) What?!??? I told him all I would like to have is my free dental cleaning. I know my insurance covers that. He was firm that you need to have DEEP CLEANING. He said you have a TRI-CARE which is a good insurance. (Strike # 7) Even after asking more than twice, he persisted that your general cleaning will be covered if you get the deep cleaning done. He took me to the front office where I was told that after insurance, I will have to pay $450 for deep cleaning. (Strike #8..after TRI-CARE. Imagine, how much would be without insurance). At that point, I had feeling this people are up to no good. I told the staff that I better not be charged for x-rays. The staff said, if my insurance would not cover, I will have to pay.(Strike # 9) I asked for Dr. Gilbert again. I explained the staff that Dr. Gilbert told me that it would be free regardless if it is covered or not. Staff called him back to the front office to verify conversation. I asked them that I would like to have this in writing because I did not wanted to see a bill, and try to back track what was being said or not. (Strike # 10..I called TRI-CARE, they said the records shows that the Premier Dental called before my appointment to verify whether it would be covered.) They wouldnt provide. I asked them that I would like to have my x-rays so that I can go somewhere else. They said it would be $30 dollars for administrative charge. Really?!? What a jip!!!Conclusion:Premier Dental was benefited to cover the x-rays, and dental exam. (Insurance Scammers)Premier Dental denied my dental records. I was told that I had to pay $30 for that.Premier Dental wanted me to pay $450 for deep cleaning. (God knows how much Tri-Care would have to pay. Remember, Tri-Care is covered by the tax payers money. In other words, YOU(the reader) wouldve been paying for this unnecessary up selling services. Insurance Scammer )I had unnecessary exposure of x-rays.I DID NOT received the requested general cleaning services that I requested in THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!I walked out this place with utmost disappointment.

BEWARE. DONT SEE DR. SUTKOWSKI or DR. GIUSTINO. DONT GO TO PREMIER DENTAL ASSOCIATES OF ARLINGTON HTS.DR. SUTKOWSKIN if she cant help you because she doesnt know how, she is going to tell you shes BOOKED FOR MONTHS and wont be taking any appointments for months. She wants simple cases, so she discriminates what she calls easy patients and difficult cases to take on. Dont ever come back with a tooth in pain if she has done work on it before or cant tell from an x-ray whats wrong.DR. GIUSTINO will tell you to get CROWNS you DONT need, scamming the insurance carriers and you.HE put the crown on a tooth that I didnt need. I had a good tooth. I seeked a second opinion, and the other dentist told me I didnt need a crown there and wont be needing a crown on another tooth he started work on without even telling me what hes doing that I had to stop him and his assistant when they puta molding into my mouth. Wide eyed, I was shocked and stopped them in time. Unless you want to risk your good teeth and substitute with fake crowns, and pay for the work thats not needed a thousand or thousands, go ahead. Otherwise STAY AWAY. Also, Im still in pain. The dentist said I might feel something. But it has been over one month. I dont know why Im sensive to hot and cold. And why the pain comes and goes. I hope he didnt start something. I cant even eat on that side now. And if the work would be done right, I should be able to chew. The crown shows metal on top because it didnt fit my teeth. So he made my top tooth by taking a part of it to fit the crown. What worries is the most though is the pain I have. And if you do need x-rays to seek another opinion, they will make it A PAIN for you to get them. And yes you have to PAY for copies which I did. I was told nobody can make a copy of the x-ray while I was there. I asked the dental assistant who came out to call a patient and asked her a simple question. Do you know how to make a copy of an x-ray? She said, Yes Then she smiled. I asked her, Can you make a copy for me? She answered Yes. I thought it was strange for them to say they dont know how to make copies when they take patients there.THEY LIE because they want to hide their fraud and any documentation you can get might actually end up in court.

She was wearing some goggles as glasses and wasnt very nice. After she looked at my x-rays she told me that I will need a lot of work done. She asked if I had anyone to help me with paying the charges because it was going to be a lot of money and my insurance was only going to cover a certain amount. She quoted me about 10K for everything that she said was highly necessary to do. I know my teeth arent in the best shape but she made it seem very scary and made me feel even worse. She was so unprofessional and heartless. I just hope this review helps others and dont go through the same horrible experience I did.
