He took care of my problems they listened everybody was friendly prescriptions were called in a timely manner. I had a wonderful experience yesterday.The staff and Dr. Heavens made me feel comfortable and welcome.

I had a first visit video appointment with Jamie Richardson from Heaven’s Medical at the beginning of March because I was basically chair-ridden since the end of January. She prescribed my much needed heart medication and an in-home physical therapist. Her advice really helped me which was to keep eating and get out of my chair! This first part is the positive. A few days later, a physical therapist called to make an appointment, but she said Jamie prescribe the wrong place because they don’t do in-home visits. So that therapist place called heavens medical and told them of the ones that do home visits. I waited a week and no call for an appointment so I called heavens medical and the voicemail said that they would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. Forget it if you want to talk to a live person. I waited 48 hours but no return call about my physical therapist and I also needed oxygen at that time and no return call about that either. I called several times and all you get is an answering service and the last time I called they didn’t even say they would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. Because of this poor service, I cannot recommend this primary care place. I still haven’t heard back from them and it’s been almost three weeks. Now I have to find a new primary care provider even though Jamie was really professional and very nice and really helped me. I really appreciated her service.

All of my experiences at Heavens Medical have been outstanding. Dr. Heavens became my husbands Primary Physician over 4 years ago. He later took over his Diabetic care when he was put on Dialysis for 19 months. He was always caring and spent time listening to his concerns. Bill had complete confidence in him. I also became a patient and I have the same confidence.

I find Heavens Medical to be very willing to help me get the appointment days and times that I desire. I have come to appreciate the service they provide me and have not found a single person that is anything but friendly. I feel very fortunate to have found them. They also offer two clinics and an Urgent Care which is just one more reason I have recommended them to family and friends.

My first visit. The staff are wonderful! Everyone with patience, took time to answer any/all questions and personable. They stayed engaged with me, not around me. I am very happy to be receiving medical care with this group of professionals!

Heavens Medical has taken care of ALL my needs since moving here a year and half ago. Im a middle aged chronic care pt and found the entire staff caring and genuinely concerned for my better health. Dr Heavens is super knowledgeable and ALWAYS directs me to the proper specialist if he is unable to resolve my issue. The MAs get my referrals approved and appointments scheduled promptly. I couldnt be happier with the the professional care I receive every time I am seen in the office.

Only saw Dr. Heavens ONCE.All other times ALWAYS a physician assistant, ALWAYS a different one!They said someone by the name ofDennis lost my lab results!!!Several appts they made for the wrong office. The office staff doesnt seem to know what they are doing.They gave me an appt to an office that was closed.

Though I have problems, when being around a person for the first time, I think that Jamie Richardson, NP - did an excellent job of listening carefully to my situation & providing me w/ the care I needed. I dont normally see her as my NP, and that was our first meeting, but I hope she reads this, to know of my appreciation in her manner to help w/ my specific problem. Thanks!

Your phlebotomist is very rude on 5/5/2021. Her nasty attitude was NOT appreciated. I would highly suggest getting someone with better manners. If I hadnt had such a bad experience with her you might have a much higher rating.

I was seeing with in 15 minutes of my arrival. And the doctor was very informative and knew all the things that were wrong with me. And she updated everything for my new insurance. The lab was fast and efficient. And heavens medical has excellent doctors

I love Dr. Heavens PLC. I have chronic pain for years, and he ran tests to diagnose the source. He doesnt over prescribe medication. The practicers that I also see are very good at their job. The last one I saw, caught that a pain medicine could have caused early labor when I was pregnant. I certainly appreciate it.

I give my PA Shawna a two and Nikki her nurse a two. right now the only good thing about heavens medical in Apache Junction is their front desk Andrea and Stacy. I especially give Andrea five stars because she bends over for her patients and she fights for the patients that go there and to me shes the only one in that office that does along with Stacy. I moved here 6 months ago and they never once asked for any of my medical records from my previous doctor.

Heavens Medical in Apache Junction and Mesa have proven a GREAT disappointment. It took me going to their Urgent Care facility to get them to give me an appointment so I could get referrals after being diagnosed with pneumonia, leaking implants from a mastectomy in 2007, enlarged lymph nodes under my right arm, and nodules in my lungs. Add to this I am also being treated for Congestive Heart failure (water around my heart) High blood pressure and a resting pulse rate that never goes below 97. Today, I needed some labs drawn for my oncologist. The lab tech was impatient, did not listen, pulled up the wrong records and then was irritated with me.... I also witnessed a patient coming out with bandages on both arms which indicated to me, immediately that she was not a good individual to be drawing blood. I walked out despite having to see my Oncologist on Monday. Incompetence reigns. I will be looking for a new provider.

I have been a patient with this office for a couple years now and have been well cared for. Recently my provider left and I started seeing Dr. Melissa Ramsdell and I could not be happier. For the first time I actually feel like someone is listening and cares about my health. i was close to leaving because i had to keep changing Drs but once I got Dr Ramsdell all qualms were mended. I went there for years and today was my last day! They sent me out the door with my life in danger. Dont go there if you wanna live! Ill be contacting a malpractice attorney. Just look at their google reviews! They havent had a good review in 4 years. Dr Heavens, your staff is ruining your reputation as a doctor and youll eventually lose your license.

I’ve been dealing with this doctor for three years and the last 2 1/2 years I have never gotten a live person on the phone or recordings from front to back I was telling you I’ll call you back within 24 hours which they do not they set up appointments for weeks ahead and call you to cancel and push it back I see Dr Haven in the beginning for the first six months it was great after that he sent me to another doctor Tomas a petitioner she was good she stopped working with him and now I can’t even do that to talk to the doctor all I get is recordings and excuses why the doctor is not available if the doctor hasn’t got time for his actualThen he does not need me as a patient this is not good I’ve waited all the way up to 30 days before getting hot pills for myself would not recommend him I rated him at one because that’s the lowest they have on the board

This doctor refused to do a coloscopy onn my finacee. He now has stage 3 cancer. They told hoim they only do it through blood work. His blood work kept coming back as a little weird . they did no follow up and are still refusing to do prostate exams. They keep saying bllod work normal when stuff keeps going up. This doctor cost my finacee his life and and our yeats togwther. Stage 3 cancer could have been prevented with a little care.

We are done with this practice! Second time Ive run out of blood pressure meds and they dont respond to the pharmacy and I went into their office since they dont return phone calls. They promised to send an urgent message to the physician to call in a script refill. Now their office is closed and no prescription was called to the pharmacy. Next morning at 8:00 AM I went to the office again and was informed they were closed because they were in training, but they assured me it would be taken care of immediately. The pharmacy called at 7:00 PM to tell me they finally got the refill script from the doctors office.If you need your meds like I do for blood pressure, running out and relying on this doctors office is a losing proposition. Its not like I havent been in for awhile because I just had my annual wellness check just over a month ago. My wife has had the exact same experience with this office on her BP meds.Please avoid this practice if you care about your health and well being!!!

Probably the worst run staff ever. I have taken my mother to see a doctor here. Asked for a simple referral to another doctor for a condition of hers. We hear that they are going to send it over, yet the other doctor never gets it. We have complained several times....yet each time, they simply say to get a referral we need to come in and see the doctor. This next time its going to be a formal request for a hard copy of the referral that will be hand delivered to the doctors office.I highly recommend that you think twice....nay....three times or more before visiting this place. Seems like a 3 ring circus every time we have visited. No actual notes on what happened the last visit, nor what discussions have taken place. Always the run around by the front staff. Just overall poor service. Stick with WebMD for your medical advice rather than coming here. At least the computer cares about your questions and requests than this place does.

I myself am in customer service and know how difficult it can be, but that being said and looking over the reviews for the past year, something in the management of the office is seriously wrong. Getting a response from a CARE GIVER is crucial and from my experience and lack of response to reviews, which looks like they havent done for two years, is obviously not the case here. Dr. Heavens seems competent and caring, but the rest of the staff is NOT. I will be looking for a new Doctor and I hope this review will help him get his staff on track. His name is on the Door and is being tainted by UNCARING Staff. So Sorry Doc

He was very understanding and very kind and assured me that he was going to look into it... I feel like I was heard and at this point will continue my healthcare with Dr. Heavens... Very unprofessional I can never get a hold of anyone neither can my pharmacy. Ive been out of meds (that dont require a doc app) for 2 weeks. Left messages no response. And they never answer the phone you always have to leave a message for someone who never calls back.

Dont ever use Dr. Heavens in Apache Junction or Mesa! They are completely incompetent! They misdiagnosed me in a life threatening situation and I ended up in the hospital for 5 days (costing me 1000s of dollars in deductibles) and today I find out I have waited 3 weeks for a referral they never sent in and lied to me about it when I called twice to see why it was taking so long...I took things into my own hands and called my insurance company to be told they never sent it in because I NEVER NEEDED ONE! This used to be a good doctors office but they have outgrown themselves and are now hiring idiots to manage your healthcare! I would also stay away from their new Urgent Care next to Frys...I am DONE! I am now looking for a new doctor...any suggestions???

I usually see Dr. Heavens, however this time I was seen by Lauren King FNP-C. She was very personable and knowledgeable. She took her time with me and listened to what I had to say and answered my questions. I was taken care of just as well as if I had seen Dr. Heavens and had a productive and pleasant appointment. Medical Assistant, Starr was wonderful as well and I feel both are valuable assets to Dr. Heavens practice.

This one star breaks my heart as does this review. I have been going to Dr. Heavens for almost 5 years. I did a lot of research prior to seeing a new doctor and his ratings were a 4.5. Those reviews were awesome too. I had a great experience up until about a year ago when things got crazy, MAs would not return calls or get referrals sent in. The new RX laws require the pharmacy to contact the dr when it is a schedule 2 drug so this is a HUGE problem here. Their office does not return calls until you have to almost scream at them and explain just how important it is to get back to a pharmacy. When Dr. Heavens is in Mesa or at his new Urgent Care, the staff are completely rude, unprofessional and just do not care about helping out. They talk on their cell phone, gather in a group and chit chat and just ignore the fact a patient is waiting for labs. Nobody was in line waiting...I waited 25 minutes with NOBODY even acknowledging my presence. I have discussed my concerns with Dr. Heavens several times and because he is mild mannered, his staff take advantage of this. I think he has a hard time putting his foot down and saying, this is UNACCEPTABLE, if I hear about this again, people are going to lose their jobs! I truly love Dr. Heavens. He is just overworked, overwhelmed and does not have a handle on his staff. He is now rated a 3 and I am no longer seeing him. It pains me to say this but I would stay away from this place and consider going elsewhere. If you do go to him, plan on waiting at least an hour past your appointment time. I am much happier now with my new doctor who takes the time to talk to me about my care and I do not feel rushed at all. Good luck to those of you still going to him or his other doctors.

I do not like this office what so ever i came here expecting good things but leaving with negative feedback. Provider was alright the back ladies were all nice didn’t get to see the doctor which is understandable he’s most likely busy but i did not enjoy the way the front office lady treated me. I tried talking to the manager a few times once over phone leaving her a voicemail that she never returned i left my name and number for her and she still has not returned it. I went to the office a few days after the call because i was pretty upset she didn’t get back to me because i wanted her to know how bad the lady treated me. the front lady said she was in her office she’d be with you shortly i did see her walk in the back to tell her so she didn’t lie. The manager never did come i went back up and they said that she left that they told her and they thought she already talked to me. I ended up calling one more time making sure to call her extension leaving a message pretty sure she just deletes them so she doesn’t have to deal with it. I gave up the manager isn’t even doing her job. Crappy manager and crappy front office will not be coming back.

My grandmother has been seeing dr. Heavens for years and just recently started to see Ampili Umayamma at the mesa office and will NEVER go back. Information for oxygen never sent, referrals never given and refused to give paper rx for something that is so rare pharmacies have to order and not all can. Worst office visits. No compassion for older patients.

The Mesa location is absolutely awful. I have been waiting on a call back to refill my prescription and no one has returned my call. They are open and all i get is the answering machine. I spoke to someone a few days ago regarding this issue and now i have to wait till Monday to speak with someone. Mind you i need my prescription before Monday. I do not recommend this office. If you can go to the Apache Junction location. Or go else where. Unfortunately My insurance is not accepted in Apache Junction or else I would travel the extra 20 minutes to that location just for the customer service.

I usually see Dr. Retay. I like her very much. But since she is out on medical leave, I saw Dennis Chavez at the AJ office. He made a mistake on my Rx refill and the referral for my mammogram. Have left many messages to get these issues corrected with no return phone call. Very frustrating!!

Lack of concern by front office staff for patients concern. I was seen by a PA earlier in the week and was treated for bronchitis. My cough RX is just about out and I went in to obtain another script. I was told that I need an appointment and couldnt be seen until next week. What good does that do for my cough situation now and over the weekend? I cannot believe that, between two clinics, someone couldnt have seen me to issue another RX for cough. How long could that possibly take. The office staff in the Mesa location showed absolutely no care nor compassion. I have never experienced such lack of concern ever in a medical facility.

Used to really like the office. Could get in and see a doctor quickly. The staff was great. Now Im considering switching my family... you can never get in, staff is rude on the phone. Finally get my daughter with health problems in to see some yahoo named Gary. How on earth is this guy practicing medicine? Did not take his time, left us sitting in a room for a long time, didnt ask hey, is there a reason she doesnt take this anymore (yes, yes there is) and prescribed it and a bunch of other stuff anyways without taking her heart problems into account. Only we go to pick the meds up and they arent there. He never sent them in! We called and left a message and never got a call back. So now we are at urgent care Etting her taken care of, which should have already been done!

Staff at the emergency room suggested I find a primary care doctor, which I welcomed as we are here as winter visitors. A friend had suggested Dr. Heavens at the AJ clinic. I called his office the very next morning and was told they had an opening at 1pm. I saw Dr. Heavens with a pain in my lung and shortness of breath. He ordered blood work and a chest Xray. After reviewing he ordered a CT scan. Upon review he diagnosed it as pneumonia and wrote two prescriptions. Dr. Heavens was very thorough with my exam, he looked me in the eye while talking to me (unlike others who stare at the computer screen while talking.) Even though the clinic was super busy, Dr. Heavens gave me as much time as needed. His nurses were great also. I appreciate all the prompt response to my needs.

It is hard to rate a doctor you have only met once since going to him. I am usually seen by a NP. Only recently have I seen the same one twice. Darcel is pleasant and I feel the most comfortable with her of all the NP s that I have seen. Kyle is always pleasant and upbeat.

The RN that works in the front office and supposed to call in prescriptions would not even call back after we left a message. When I went to talk to her about these prescriptions she used every excuse not to take the blame for it when it was her fault. We changed doctors because of this, prescriptions cant be just forgotten because you cant do your job. Jason heavens. Two thumbs up head nurse two thumbs down.

Ive been with this doctor for over 4 years but they have a new computer system that requires photos for every visit and the doctor himself tried to insist that I have to remove my face mask and pose for a picture. That sounds like it defeats the purpose of wearing the mask entirely, why even make your patients wear them? 1. I have messy hair in the morning and that is when I usually make appointments. 2. Its my privacy buddy you cannot force someone to pose for a picture. 3. I was insulted by the rudeness and forcefulness that was pressed upon me! Very impolite and act as if in a hurry.I only wanted prescription refill on meds Ive been taking for years. I solved all other issues with soreness in muscles and constipation with recommendations from the doctor. Why do I need to see him? Just for med refills?I definitely did not feel cared about as a patient or did not feel that someone who is a patient who is relatively new here did not feel welcomed.

This is the first review ive every done on any business i was so angry that i decided to write something. I Have been going to Dr Heavens for a while now at both the Mesa and Apache Junction office, but today took the cake. I am giving this place a 1 star if i could i would give it 0 stars. Had an appointment and God forbid you show up a couple of minutes late, they wouldnt even see you. They shou you away like you dont even matter. I thought the job of a doctor is to care of people and make sure they are in great health. NOT here, they are more concerned about throwing you to the curb and im not sure they even have there own Doctors, it sounds like they use rent a doctors so you dont even know your getting the care you need. Please stay away from these offices they are not there to help you just take your money.

Office is ran horribly. My grandmother went without an important prescription until she ended up in the ER due to their negligence. She still cant see one of her referred specialists because of this office and after many phone calls/messages, we have yet to hear back (its been weeks). Will be looking for a new primary asap!

I have finally found a doctors practice that treats you with respect and listens. I hadnt seen a doctor for many years and when I found out they were in my network I made an appointment. Right away I felt completely at ease and Dr Heavens was very gentle and informative. When I didnt understand something he was able to explain in words I understood. Since he has associates I now have my appointments with Darcell Brock. She is fantastic as a FNP and she is who I see on a regular basis. The care I receive from Darcell is phenomenal and I have put myself into her care and she never disappoints. Its nice to go where you are still a person and not just a file. I highly recommend them to anyone who is a little cautious about a new doctor they are 100%😀👍👍👍🙌

Monday 3-2-15 I was hoping to be a new patient of Dr. Heavens today. I handed all my 8 pages of medications, operations, etc. to the receptionist at the front desk...she not only misspelled my name 1 time, not 2 times, not 3 times, but 4 times! I stood in front of her while respelling my name 4 times to her verbally...of course, who would think of looking at my 8 pages with my name spelled correctly on all 8 sheets? In talking with Linda Bailey, who I thought might have more sense, she sent my refills to the wrong pharmacy!! When I got a phone call from the wrong pharmacy, I tried tracking down who sent my prescriptions to the wrong place...when I called Heavens Medical, I finally reached a gal who wouldnt even give me her name! IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE AT THIS DOCTORS OFFICE, BE MY GUEST. I believe Dr. Heavens might very well be a fine doctor but his office staff stinks! and remember, you will be dealing with the office staff more than you will the Doctor...

01/11/17 Went to Dr Havens office for my first visit. I had turned in all paper work and insurance 2 weeks prior. They told me to be there at 9:45 and I arrived at 9:33. Signed in gave ID once again. I sat there till 11:00 and was never called in. I finally had to leave. So I went to the front desk and told them I have been there for an 1hour n 40 minutes and need to reschedule. She made no attempt to get me in or anything. Then she said the next appt would be 01/25/17. Cant do it I will be totally out of meds for two long of a time. Update 05/09/17 this doctors office has the worse staff they are so incompetent. DO NOT USE THIS DOCTORS OFFICE.

Great family practice office my children have been coming to this office since they have opened in 2012 the practice has grown I have been more than happy with the care from the NPs, DOs and Dr Heavens himself, I have never had any issues with getting them in to be seen ASAP, or with obtaining refills. I would recommend this practice ( I Have) to anyone who is looking for terrific, compassionate care

They prescribed my 5 year old daughter amoxicillin, only to call back 2 weeks later and say she doesnt actually need it... after she had already finished taking all that was prescribed to her.

Just had an appointment with Dr. Audette, assisted by medical assistant Katrina. They are extremely professional and very knowledgeable. Dr. Audette has a very keen concern for his patients and his very thorough examination and review of the facts in determining a diagnosis is unprecedented. Katrinas very capable assistance to Dr. Audette and his patients is a true indication of her dedication to her profession.

I have been to heavens for a long time and never have i came up negative for my lorazepam and all the sudden one time in a ua...and bam they nurse calls me and says ....we can longer give you you meds i asked fr retest and she sais no ..........You people are mest up and fake...and you will be in court if i fall over a seizure from not having my meds........oh and dr heavens i am comming for my medical records btw ...............

When I got Achhs insurance I was nervous I wouldnt find a doctor who listened, and took the time to connect with his patients and help.After alot of research, I found Heavens Medical, Plc. Today was my first visit, and Dr. Heavens put all my nerves to rest, as he was patient, he listened, and took the time to start to help me. The whole staff was super friendly and I feel like Im in good hands. :)

Heavens Medical is a wonderful office. The back office has amazing customer service, they will put a smile on your face even when you are not feeling well. Dr. Heavens is compassionate, kind, funny and overall a very knowledgeable physician. The NPs are amazing as well, they take their time with you and will do anything in their power to make you feel better.The billing dept helps you figure out your bills, and helps you arrange a payment plan if needed.Regardless, I will still continue to come here. I am happy with all the MAs, NPS, Dr. Heavens and the billing staff. I will wait as long as I need to because I know that the Drs and NPs will give me their 100% attention and listen to every need I have. It is worth the wait. Its not like they push you in and out after 5 minutes like other places. Your health is their number one Priority. I will send my family, friends and anyone else to Heavens Medical. Their team will not let you down!

I still think of how nice he was he treated me like he would treat one of his own family. For 5 years I was treated as if I was a Drug seeker. After 2 years here in mesaI set an appointment with a place that I would never go to again Called My Doctor Now The Doctors where so arrogant and rude. but a beautiful thing happened the nurse practitioner was the bestPerson I met in years she is firm honest and will be very patient with you unlike the most I seen before,she got fed up with that place to and told me she would be leaving I was very sad but to my surprise this lady gave a call and told me where she was working I had asked her to please remember me she didSo I set up an Appointment with Dr HeavensI left that office with tears of joy and happiness Dr Heavens was just as patient and very thorough and I will never leave they have me in better health and my spirit is way upAnd it is comfortable going to office.I am Sorry for the long post I think if other people are in a bad situation and not happy with there primary please call Dr Jason Heavens.To the staff and Doctors thank you so much you have changed my life literally saved my life. I recently changed to Dr Heavens due to a change in ins. When my family arrived for our appts we were seen very quickly. The front & back office MAs were very pleasant. Dr Heavens was very thorough & asked & answered many questions. He did not dismiss out of hand natural remedies that we wanted to talk about, like so many other Drs do. I would highly recommend this office to anyone that wants a very thorough & professional Dr & staff.

Was a new pt took my time to fill all the paperwork out and the doctor walks in with a pin and sticky note pad and know nothing on y Iam there. Anyways has me do blood work to find something wrong so have me do ultra sound its been a week since done and they keep telling me AZ teck has not finished them but this is not true I have had the rusalts faxed to me already all I wanna do is go over them with doc so we can get a game plan going. I have the worst experience with this office front and back. They do not care about there patients at all.

The front office needs to be replaced. Dr Heavens lets his PAs do all the work. I think he is Dr in name only because you spend more time with his PAs then you do him even tho you made the appt to see him. When we had made an appt to get the tests results, we sat in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hrs -- we left never seeing Dr Heavens nor getting the tests results. Now I get an invoice from the lab that I owe them money because Medicare said that the claim had to codes that some of the bloodwork was medically necessary. OH Really>>>

Having a hard time refilling prescriptions

Front office and MAs have no sense of urgency. The front office is cold and alouf.

This place is a joke to say the least. Stay away if at all possible.

WARNING !!!If you are taking more then 10 pills a day you need to switch doctors ASAP !! A former patient of his is now in hospice care because this doctor just keeps prescribing pills instead of getting people real help !! This man shouldnt be aloud to hand out pills like candy !!! Please notice when someone is taking advantage of you !!! DO NOT KEEP SEEING THIS DOCTOR IF YOU ARE TAKING TOO MANY PILLS!!!

A bunch of staff quit and my prescription refills we ignored for over two week. Called and got complete run around and then was hung up on. Cant recommend and will be changing doctors ASAP

Too many mistakes and wrong diagnosis scares.

Very inept doctor for many maladies. He is not qualified to treat certain medical issues because he failed us quite badly. We are done with him.

They have no concept of being on time.
