I made an appointment for back pain. Nurse took my blood pressure which was high. After being left alone for 5 minutes w/ automatic blood pressure cuff doctor came into office & told me to go to the E R. They would not help me due to high blood pressure. Today I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance. Riverway Clinic charged $346 for a FULL office visit even though they spent less than 10 minutes with me and did not address the concern I came in for. Last year I paid a full office charge for a zoom call with my doctor that lasted less than 8 minutes and the doctor was extremely distracted through out the call. Time to find a doctor/clinic with more ethics.

They get one star only because I dont know how to give them less and still write a review. My doctor actually left Health Partners GI department at the Riverway Clinic and I was not notified. I will follow that doctor because she was an incredible doctor. I have since had rude and harassive phone calls from them for little things like I need to schedule something or my pharmacy contacted them for a refill of a basic stomach medication that theyre unable to authorize. The phone calls always coming back to who am I going to choose to continue my care with... which certainly is not the GI department at Riverway Clinic, its at this point where they choose to get rude.

Insurance fraud! 15 min virtual visit that I waited months to get in, doc didn’t have my bloodwork that I did a release for twice. Only to tell me “looks like you have everything under control” um no, that’s why I scheduled an appointment.. they charged my insurance $537 ..

Health partners GI didnt want to do a test for SIBO I pushed for it and sure enough I tested positive. The GI Dr was IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of and never responded to messages. After doing their recommended course of antibiotics I still had SIBO symptoms so I was told it needs to be treated as IBS. I said BS and went to stillwater natural medicine. They helped me actually beat SIBO and I feel 100 times better theyre helping me heal my gut instead of pushing meds to hide the pain and manage IBS. Health partners is clearly held captive to pharmaceuticals and pain management. If you have ANY gut / stomach issues If you want to find healing and find relief from the stomach pain I recommend going to natural medicine of stillwater! They take the time to figure out whats going on and help you heal.

I wish I could break this down into doctor versus rest of the clinic. My doctor would be rated a five. The rest of the clinic close to zero. Maybe half the staff is nice, the other half is sullen or downright rude and even insulting. Close to none of them are informed about anything other than the most basic issues such as making an appointment. If you have questions about your insurance the best you can hope for is to get a proper phone number where you will be placed on hold for close to an hour. The worst you can hope for is the team of Karens who they’ll send for “from upstairs” simply to tell you that they don’t have the time to deal with you and that answering your questions is not part of their job description.

I feel emotionally broken after visiting this place today. Never in my entire life have I had such a personally depressing and disheartening experience at a medical facility. The staff spoke nicely to my face but, when I was in the restroom, secretly talked about me in their office behind the wall. They did not know I could hear them. When I heard them say how they were trying to avoid talking with me and wished I would never come back, it was both surreal and heart-wrenching. I was nervous and frightened for my diagnosis that day, and had been nothing but kind and worriedly interrogative to their staff. To hear this kind of private conversation made me feel more miserable than I had felt in a long time. After I left embarrassed and staring at the floor all the way to the parking lot, I spoke to the nurse who made those statements on the phone. When I confronted her, she told me it was because I asked too many questions. Thats right. Questions. Questions about my health. Questions about the steps to do the lab tests so I would get them right at home. Questions. So, if youre ever wondering what the staff at this clinic think about you after you leave, know this: You are an inconvenience, an irritation, and the phoney smiles they show you merely mask the spite they feel for you. They dont have to worry, though. I will never return to Riverway Clinic in Anoka, and I hope their staff get as much free time as they need to avoid treating patients like worthless annoyances. I hope each of you reading this take note, and give them this freedom as well.

Never have a colonoscopy at Anoka River Way Clinic unless you are okay with cramping pain during the procedure. I recommend Minnesota Gastroenterology in Coon Rapids. They give conscious anesthetic but feel NO discomfort.

Im not a review writer, but I have to write a review. We just moved to Anoka and this was the closest HP clinic. The nursing staff (except the nice one on the nurse line) were incompetent, un-friendly, and downright rude. One told me, People who have influenza are much sicker than you. Turns out I had influenza. Also, on another visit we were going through my supplements and I told her Im on quite a few- Multi, fish oil, Vit C, and Vit D. And she said to me, Looks like they didnt keep you from getting sick. WHAT? Im taking my business to a place where the staff actually cares about people and its not a robot mill.

I used really like this clinic until I had to move and I needed my medical records. Their medical record department is a joke, you can only request your own records by FAX or USPS mail, they offer to email your records to you BUT claim you cannot request the ANY other way. Both of the people I spoke with could care less about the patient, one actually told me to stop and fill out the form even though I am out of state. Patient care FAIL!!!!!

I was sick, always tired....My doctor retired from there.I had to ask and almost beg His replacement to take my pulse and temp. She had no interest in treating me. I wouldn’t take my dog there.2 weeks later I go to target clinic who, Thank God, sends me to Maple Grove Emergency. I almost didn’t make it...

If I was rating my childs Dr I would give this a 5 star rating Dr keplinger is amazing and if it was not for her working there we would find a new clinic. The support staff is the problem, the front desk is horribly rude, thought maybe it was just a bad day the 1st time but over the last year I have realized they are just rude people who take no pride in their jobs and dont seem to realize they are the 1st person we encounter and their attitude reflects the rest of the company. I would have given them 0 stars but I gave a 2 for how amazing the Dr is.

Ive been here numerous times, this is the primary clinic for my insurance. Ive had far more negative experiences here than posititve. The appointment line staff is under-trained and intrusive. The doctors are dispassionate and cold. Ive had issue get progressively worse while they failed to make an accurate diagnosis. Ive dealt with numerous doctors, I wouldnt seek any of them out again for a second visit.

I have Dr. Gammon as my OBGYN and I love her. She is very personable and attentive, knowledgeable and listens. She also shares from her personal experience. My DD also sees Dr. Wineingar and he has always been great and patient with my child and always greet us by our names. We havent had bad experience our providers except for the line rep, some can be rude.

The care I received today by Dr Patel was very dissatisfing. He lacks listening to his patients. One cannot dream up symptoms that my entire family is aware of. I recently switched primaries due to Dr Lee going into semi retirement. I certainly miss the care received by Dr Lee and will be looking for another Doctor. Im open to suggestions. I like the clinic and location.

When I make an appointment with Dr. Keplinger I always know that she will be running late and i will not be seen on time. This however has NOT affected the way I come to her time after time....20 years now and will continue to take my children to her...Dr. Keplinger is very very thorough, kind,patient AND extremely smart. I believe this is why she is always taking her time with each and every individual at this clinic and causes her to not be on schedule....ITS WORTH EVERY MINUTE I WAIT FOR HER TO PROPERLY DIAGNOSE MY CHILDREN. Thank so much Dr. Keplinger for all that you have done for me and my children...hope you continue there for another 12 years..😁

I have been a HealthPartners patient for 46 years and in general am very satisfied. However, as it was today I had a young x-ray technician who thinks it is fine to call me cute names like Hon. This is extremely condescending. She knows my name from the chart. This is an issue found with the generation under baby boomers. It is RUDE! Such behavior must be eradicated.

After having a GI crisis at Mercy Hospital ER on Friday afternoon (6-9-17), then released after two hours of testing, I was advised by the hospital to find a GI Doc in my area and to schedule an appt. ASAP! The Mercy Hospital case worker was also making calls on my behalf. So on 6-12-17 @ 12:45pm) I called the HP River Way Clinic with MANY available GI Docs, the scheduling gal was so completely rude & unhelpful I had to hang up on her!! She was combative, It was appalling! I wouldnt go to this clinic if you paid me!

My son had swollen lymph nodes and the doctor completed blood work on a Friday. The lab called us on Saturday to tell us lab results came back with very concerning results and we needed to bring our son to the hospital immediately. We brought him to the ER and we were told lab results showed mono and no other results outside of normal ranges. The ER doctor could not understand why the lab sent us to emergency. We then called administration to raise concern about service and stress caused by lab tech comments and instructions. I was told the lab tech was on call weekend support and offered no reasonable explanation. $350 later, there was nothing they could do to rectify loss of money and stress caused by their error.

I was here today with my son, the RN however was kind and helpful, as my son 10 months old have been having fever they needed to get urine sample, I went there just to drop off the sample and the front desk lady was really rude, her actitud was mean, I explained why I was there, my kids were in the car one of them sick and I needed to do this fast and she denied to help me if I didnt have the insurance card and my ID she couldnt help me at all, even she didnt tried. When I called to make the complain the lady in the phone was not bothered by my experience and she defended the front desk lady behavior. This situation was really inconvenient. This is not the only time has happened to me the rudennes of this peopple, specially that lady are mean and not good customer service. This behavior is not acceptable at all. Planning to look for different clinic for sure.

Was referred here by my primary care physician due to a few occassions of having hives after meals. The MD was very polite, but did not have any idea what might be causing the issue, which I was suspecting would be the case. Regardless, a number of unnecessary tests were ordered (including one for a tick borne illness that is only found down south), which piled up my bill. Not to mention, charging me $450 for the 45 minutes I spent there...most of which I just sat in the room waiting for the physician. As a healthcare worker myself, I am absolutely appalled by the unnecessary services that were ordered/charged and the cost that they are charging for these visits. I completely understand why people skip their physician appointments.

I came in there in terrible pain with fractured fingers...I sat in a chair for 20 minutes in the exam room rather than allowed lay down...then they made me walk up stairs to xray...no splints no wheel chair to assist me...complete inconpetant amatures

I love our pediatrician, Dr Keplinger. Shes amazing! The only gripe i have is the check in process. Every time i come in i have to stand in a large line for 10-15 mins just to check in. They usually have 2 stations open out of 5. Its ridiculous!

I have loved all interactions Ive had here with my doctor but my experience with the lab tech today was not a good one. I had an appointment for labs today to be done from another doctor of mine that doesnt have a lab. This was my first experience with blood tests here. The order said to fast and I did. When I went back the technician used a very large gauge needle, Im guessing at least 18 G, even after comenting that my veins were small. She mentioned my veins were bouncing when palpitating for one because I hadnt had enough water. She then tried to insert the needle and missed. Instead of removing the needle, she then dug around for my vein. It was extremely painful. When she did get a slow blood flow, she commented again on my lack of water. The first comment I brushed off, the second I found unprofessional. She should have removed the needle and used a different vein, or the other arm, that she could hit the first time. Then shed have better bloodflow. My guess is she was still deeper than the vein and getting residual bleeding from my knowledge. Nothing to do with water intake (plus, I was fasting). While collecting the vials, she was pushing down so hard on my arm that she was leaving a mark and pain, stating she didnt want to stress the vein. Although she already had by digging around. By the end my arm was in extreme pain. She cleaned the arm well after, but didnt even show me back to the lobby. I had to guess where to go. By the time I arrived home (about 30 minutes) my arm was immobile from pain. When I took the tape off I found swelling the size of a golf ball at the site. Now, 5 hours later after ibuprofen and ice/heat alternative every 20 minutes, I can move my arm and the swelling has lessened, but still have pain. I have had over 10 blood draws the past year for various reasons with 4 different doctors, and never had this much pain. I also never have had a problem with blood moving too slow. Additionally, there has never been such a large gauge needle used, as all have commented on my small veins and used a butterfly needle with quick release. The 5 minutes it took this lab tech to get 3 vials is the same amount of time Ive had 12 taken before. Ive never felt nauseous or in pain during a blood draw before, but had the entire time here. Nothing to do with the fasting, as I have done this many times before. I also have never had this lingering swelling and pain. All in all, Ill give the lab techs one more chance, but hope I dont get the same one again. She clearly needs more training. 2 stars because my doctor is great (5 star quality), but this lab tech would get 0.

I love Riverway Clinic, Anoka.I am very pleased with my Internal Medicine Physician, Dr. Hasan/ I feel hes an investigation Dr. ,and hes observant, and consistent, thorough.,and I trust himThe Nurse is,never wanting to Triage my medications tho, She,says I need a separate appointment for this..sadly she is,WRONG. I love the atmosphere, the reception staff is very kind.. lab and Xray is nice too. Its hot in that building some days. Its uncomfortable. I am pretty confident in this,Clinic..I love that IRS open on weekends for Urgent Care.. very fast in &out then.

This place is terrible, especially the endocronology department. I will NEVER return to this place. I would rather die than be treated by these terrible people. I wish I could give a negative rating! Look at how many 1 star ratings your clinic has and not a single response from any clinic leadership or a manager to the people who took time to review you.You guys are a freaking joke.

I called back and she kept hanging up on me! Im suppose to talk to a nurse name Lindsey! So now I will be contacting the state and report this unprofessional customer service! Didn’t get back with my results, it’s 4 days later not and I’ve gotten worse. Still no information.If. I could give them a 0 I would . 5 days after my tests now and no information . I have called 5 times and I’m still in emense pain and they keep pushing me around saying they will call me back but I’m still here getting worse. So disappointed.
