We had a great experience with Dr. Bateman. He was able to quickly remove a small toy in my 2 year olds ear. Excellent bedside manner! Definitely recommend!!

Twice I’ve had an early appointment with this doctor so I could make other times and appointments I had throughout the day. Neither time has gone smoothly as I’m stuck in the waiting room for an hour or more AFTER my appointment time. Even arriving early doesn’t make it possible to be seen near your given time. Don’t go to this practice if you have a busy day ahead of you.

This office may receive great reviews from white people but I feel as a black person discriminated against. These people are very rude and argumentative. Take your black selves somewhere else if you want to receive proper treatment. They gave me a scheduled appointment only to leave me sitting in the lobby for over an hour knowing full well that Dr B was doing surgeries that day. Shame on you! Never again will I ever again in life seek treatment from this office. If I could give it a negative 5 stars I would.

Im very disappointed in the staff at Dr Batemans office today. My wife has accompanied me at every visit during this pandemic. Now they tell her to wait in the hallway or in her car. We live in the same house Im not understanding the issue. Unfortunately I will have to find another Dr.

Dr Bateman did surgery on my 16 year old daughter today. I would absolutely recommend him! He was amazing with my daughter and the surgery. My daughter and myself was so nervous and Dr Bateman came in before the surgery and Reinsured us that everything would be fine. Talking to him before surgery I knew that my daughter was in good hands. After surgery he came in the surgery waiting room and talked to me, I really appreciate that, instead of a phone call. I really appreciate everything that Dr Bateman has done and is doing for my daughter. His staff is amazing! Thank you so much!

I went to him with a ruptured eardrum and he barely even looked at my ear. He said I should have someone irrigate it so he could see it better(his job). I asked him what we should do about ongoing sinus infections and he stated that he didnt care, it wasnt his problem. Spent most of the time I was with him laughing at himself and trying to be funny. He would not look me in the eye. I will never go back and wouldnt recommend him to anyone.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DR. OFFICE. I WENT HERE BC I HAD A KNOT ON MY THROAT. THEY DID A THYROID ULTRASOUND AND IT CAME BACK NEGATIVE BUT THE KNOT WAS STILL THERE AND HE SENT HIS NURSES TO INFORM ME OVER THE PHONE THAT IT WAS NOT MY THYROIDS. THE KNOT WAS STILL THERE BUT HE NEVER EXAMINED ME FURTHER TO LOOK A LITTLE DEEPER TO SEE EXACTLY WHAT THE KNOT WAS. I HAD TO GO GET ANOTHER OPINION FROM ANOTHER DR. THAT WAS BETTER AND MORE PATIENT, CARING AND EXPLORATIVE! ! THIS PLACE HALF STEP IN DOING THEIR JOB!! IT COULD OF COST ME MY LIFE! BE CAREFUL GOING TO THIS PLACE BC HE DOESNT TAKE HIS TIME TO CHECK OUT HIS PATIENTS!!

Why is his office calling me! Sorry I dont have the money for a face lift! Will not tell me why there calling me! I never heard of you and I dont owe you and Ive had this number over 5 years stop calling me!

He knows how to talk and explain things to you perfectly and is very humorous lol.

If I could make the number of stars negative, I would!! Dr. Bateman removed my thyroid and apparently during surgery damaged or removed my parathyroid. I was supposed to be in the hospital over night and was there 6 days!! He then let me go home and I had to go to ambulatory care at the hospital Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs, Fri and then tot he ER on Sat and Sun for IV calcium...this went on for 6 WEEKS!!! He never once saw me again and sent his nurse practitioner in to take my stitches out. He turned it over to his wife (shes a doctor too) to set my iv doses. Well after 57 IV sticks (and me begging for a central line) and 6 weeks of the same mess, I went to Birmingham. Dr, Bateman promised my parathyroid was still there and would pick back up in tim...is what he said.I went to the head of endocrinology at UAB and he said there was no presence of a parathyroid!! So every time I get a fever or bad stomach bug I end up in the hospital and I have had many complications because it causes low calcium (hypocalcaemia).I WOULD NOT SEND EVEN SOMEONE I DISLIKE TO THIS MAN!!!

You go in there with ear problems and the guy mumbles and never looks you in the eye when he talks. Sits there and giggles at his own jokes....took the guy in gadsden a half hour to diagnose what bateman took an hour on and still had no clue.....not a fan

Great doctor!

Was referred here by my doctor for seasonal sinus issues that Ive been dealing with for years. The doctor talked a lot about different things but didnt really address my issue. I explained that it has been getting worse each year. His solution was to just give me antibiotics and recommend I take mucinex. Told me if Im not better by time antibiotics were done to come back. Sorry but Im not going to keep coming back over and over to have him do the bare minimum and not actually try to do anything.
