UPDATE As of 9-14-21: I just returned from a trip to the immediate vicinity of 175 West Meadow Rd. Although the County states they provided a free rodent control program to residents - I have no idea what that entails because nothing was offered to my parents...this yard at 175 West Meadow is still the same, except that more garbage is present & the occupants have a new kitten that catches some of their rats. I also filed a complaint w/AA CO Planning & Zoning - this is the real culprit! Until the debris is permanently removed, the rats will continue to live under & in it. The residents & their compadres at this property live like rats, so no wonder the rats are there. Its quite a spectacle and a crying shame. Most of the residents on this block take pride in their yards & houses; unfortunately this house is close to our family. My old mother picks up their trash, dirty diapers, chicken bones, etc in front of her property every day. The children are learning how to litter at a very young age - unsupervised 2+- yrs in diapers running the sidewalk & street throwing trash. I will continue my endeavor w/the Co to clean this up.----------------Today I sent photos and reported a RAT Infestation to Anne Arundel Co Dept of Health via their website & over the phone. I sent photos of the RATS as well as the yard where the 100s of RATS burrow. HD Kellen H, Supervisor Housing Protection, immediately CLOSED my issue and stated No rodent activity on this property. This is what you get when you pay taxes in AA County. This person should be ashamed of themselves and be fired!

AA County Heath Department is doing a very professional job of managing the overwhelming demand for Covid testing. I went online, made an appointment as required, & received both a text message and an email confirmation with a bar code. I was in the car line about 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Despite inclement weather, they managed the line and moved people through efficiently. There were three stations--to check in, pick up the test materials, and then the testing tent. I told the nurses they were rock stars, to be managing a seemingly endless line of cars with professionalism and even smiles and good humor. What a great team of dedicated public servants. I was very grateful for how easily it all went.

The HD employee said they are not responsible for contaminated water issues. Neither do they handle mold and fungi so serious it is eating holes in the walls, has completely jammed my one toilet and sewage is now lifting up the tile floor, green mold spores are growing on top of ice cubes less than 24 hours after I put fresh water in the trays, and although they did not know I already have actual facts from medical professionals, lab tests and an independent certified bioresearch firm tracing spores in/on my body to the specific area in my rental apt where the mold infestation originated, The two men from the HD even said it is not their responsibility to address the electric shock I started getting at times just walking near the stove. No wonder our criminal landlords are getting away with unthinkable injustice to those living in poverty. The word kickbacks comes to mind

AA county health department is doing a fantastic job with Covid 19 testing! They made it simple and easy, and absolutely everyone I encountered in the process was polite and efficient. Keep up the good work!!

I have zero complaints with our health department during this Covid crisis. They are top notch!!

If I could give them zero stars I would! NO ONE EVER ANSWERS the phone. You can’t reschedule appts or anything else because they phone just rings, puts you on hold for 3 minutes and then hangs up 🙄

Needed to get a Birth Certificate. Everyone I came across were quick and friendly. Elevator smells like cigarette smoke though, and it is a smoke free building.
