Chesapeake Womens Care is amazing. I went to see them as a new patient recently for a routine annual check up. Wait times for a new appointment were reasonable, and their bedside manner was great-- they made me feel like they care. Ive been to so many other practices where I feel like Im just another dollar. My appointment was on time (no long wait times), and great experience in the exam room.

I have been to a couple offices in MD since moving here from PA trying to find a good, knowledgeable and pleasant office to be with. This office has been great from walking in the door to walking out the door. Easy flowing conversation with the physician. Received answers i needed in return. I will definitely be sticking to this office. Extremely happy with my visit!!!

I’ve gone to this practice 3 times and my experiences have never been stellar. However, my last visit on 8/2021 was very upsetting, starting with the nurse assistant who walked me, and greeting me by saying ‘you’ve been here before why couldn’t you find this place’ and proceeding to leave me in a room without explaining details about what I was supposed to do. When I asked she looked at me as if I had dementia! Then, the nurse practitioner who, though very nice and apologetic, just took my assessment of what I thought was wrong, did not examine me, prescribed antibiotics which I don’t take liberally. I decided to wait for the results of the urine culture, and it is now 1 week later trying to hear from someone. I called 3 times yesterday, they said that the nurse assigned to me was out. I pleaded to hear from someone and they escalated it to a doctor who never called me. When I called back at close to 5 pm, their emergency answering person said every one was gone and to call back the next day!!I called back the next day and again I was told that a message will be sent to my nurse ! I was angry and requested that I’ll be called right away, which they did not. I’m quitting this practice - poor customer service and poor care!

I WISH there was a 0 star option. Absolutely the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. Very rude and short tempered. Im not even sure if anyone works there or if they just sit and play computer games all day. Took me a week and a half to finally reach someone over the phone to get my birth control order fulfilled at my college pharmacy and once I did they sent it to my home address on the other side of the country. After this it took another 5 days to reach someone (during their business hours I might add) and they sent it to the wrong Walgreens in my college town and sent the wrong perscription too. I dont know how that can happen. When I called to ask them to send the correct perscription they were incredibly rude and tried to blame the pharmacy instead of taking the correct blame, and asked me why I was so upset about it and I said oh my god, I dont know why this is so difficult and she said uh yeah oh my god is right, why are you yelling at me?!. I take birth control for acne and the entire time ive been on my normal birth control ive had perfect skin and now on this new perscription Im breaking out like never before. and they STILL wont send me the right prescription. Worst company ive ever dealt with.My sister stopped going there a year ago because they told her and I quote wow your blood pressure sucks and the nurses preceded to laugh at her for it and said wow you should like fix that haha. How incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. They dont know a single thing and are incredibly difficult.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for any young woman who is going in for their first appointment. The office is super hard to find, which isn’t really their fault. However, prior to my visit I got at least 4 emails and texts asking me to confirm my appointment (a little excessive but I get it) after confirming I came 10 minutes early only to find out I was being turned away for being new and not knowing I had to bring completed paperwork. I didn’t quite understand how they could blow up my phone about confirming but not send a reminder for what I might need to bring to the appointment. The front desk didn’t even ask for my name but new I wouldn’t be seen because I didn’t have paperwork- which I have in my hand right now and could’ve definitely been filled in in the 10 minutes I had before my appointment. This was my first ever gyno visit. I was nervous and a little scared and the lack of patient care and welcoming the employees there showed made me never want to come back. Honestly I’m glad they turned me away because I would be too nervous to find out how the actual experience is when the front desk doesn’t even show compassion to scared teenage girls coming alone for their first appointment. Overall, super annoyed and dissatisfied that they couldn’t send a reminder of what to bring but could send 4 texts and emails about confirming. Not a good place to go or take your daughter for their first visit.

Dr. Wells saw my 17 yo daughter for her first gyn appointment. That first appointment can be scary. Dr. Wells immediately made my daughter feel relaxed but more importantly she really listened to her and they came up with a plan together. We had a similar experience with my oldest daughter as well. Ive been seeing Dr. Wells for 16 years and I cant say enough about her. She has always been an incredible provider for me so of course I was confident it would be no different with my daughters. It feels so good to know that my girls are having a positive first experience with a gynecologist.

I was a patient here for almost 30 years, including two pregnancies. My experience until recently has been really good. This summer I happened to be looking for my Covid test results on the Labcorp website. Along with that result were my 2016 and 2018 pap smear results. Out of curiosity I opened them. My 2016 test result said normal. My 2018 test result stated that there was not an ample sample to complete the test. Instead of thinking that it had been 2 years since my last pap, it was actually 4.5 years. I called the office right away and politely asked why I was never notified and also mentioned that I had been seen in 2019 for an unrelated issue and was never told by that provider that my last pap smear was inconclusive. No one from the office ever called me back. At that point, I decided to leave the practice after 30 years. Finally, in October I was able to email the office manager and explain to her what happened. She thanked me for letting her know. Coincidentally, yesterday I came across an email from the office dated shortly after my 2018 pap smear stating that my pap smear was normal. I can only imagine that no one ever looked at my actual result before sending that email. Im not sure where the blame lies...provider, office staff, or both.

Their office is a mess. They dont listen to you and for a simple refill for a prescription make you come into the office. They dont take responsibility for their mistake. Their lack of communication made my wife bleed for almost a month. Dr Keith gave my wife a batch for a birth control but the patch was horrible for my wife. When we find out we called the office on a weekend. They said birth control does not conciser an emergency so you need to schedule for an appointment. I told the operator that she is bleeding and we told them already that she needs a ring instead of a patch but they didnt correct the prescription on time. I called the office again for a correction, they said you need to schedule for an appointment. When we went there front desk woman said for a refill you dont need an appointment!!!! We are in a process of suing their office because their reckless diagnose and lack of costumer crevice made my wife suffer for more than a month. Thats not the way to treat patents.

In terms of annual care, Jennifer Ghadisha is hands down one of my favorite providers I’ve ever had in the medical field as a whole. She’s incredibly easy to talk to and truly takes your thoughts and feelings into consideration when providing care. For OBs, I genuinely enjoy all but one doctor, but was able to schedule around that particular doctor for the most part. Dr. Wells was my doctor for most of my prenatal visits, and was laid back and great when it came to answering all of my questions. Dr. Russell caught my preeclampsia and ended up being the doctor to order my induction. She was also great to work with and helped ease my concerns going into my induction. Dr. Penn delivered my son and provided my postnatal care, and he was incredible. As a first time mom, I felt he was encouraging and relaxing, which ultimately helped me have the best delivery I could have asked for. However, CWC fails miserably when it comes to their front office. While they are pleasant face-to-face at the time of your appointment, it takes an act of God to get someone to answer the phone. Once you finally do get someone to answer the phone, they appear to be truly put out that they are forced to do their job. I’ve received terrible attitudes over the past three years since I’ve moved here when trying to schedule an appointment or relay a question or concern to my provider. Once during my pregnancy, I tried an entire afternoon to get through to literally anyone in the office — the appointments desk to the triage nurse — regarding a concern I had about contractions I was having early in my third trimester to no avail. Fortunately, my contractions subsided early that evening, but it was infuriating and concerning, to say the least, that I was unable to reach anyone during normal business hours. If you can actually get through to someone and get past the poor customer service, the healthcare you’ll receive is worth it.

I have been going here for my yearly womans physical for 8 years. They are very friendly and have been with one of the doctors and Nurse Wendy who I love. The only reason I give them an okay rating is that the wait here is always incredibly long. The only time I was lucky enough to not have to wait 45+ minutes for my 15 minute exam was when I went right before they were closing so they rushed me through. I understand they are an OB as well and I hope to use them when I am pregnant but for only going for a 15 minute wellness exam I usually am out of work for over 2 hours just to be seen by someone. Other then the obnoxiously long waits they are great!

How I went on a payment plan in 11/17 and now it’s 01/18 and the office found a bill never sent to me is beyond words. My son was born in 2016. The billing manager interrupted me and ended the call by stating she would send me paperwork when I had all my statements and receipts in front of me. The doctors I have seen do not care about the mother at all! They will advise care or medicine only if it soley affects the baby. So; intense morning sickness they will tell you to go to youre primary care or gastroenterologist. Need prenatal vitamins, go to your primary care. Need thyroid medication adjustments or monitoring go to your primary care (even though thyroid medication is extremely important for the babys development) go to your primary care. If you have an emergency and get rushed to the ER the Doctor I saw didnt even question the nature of the visit or how it affected me or the baby. The double visits to the doctor, going to this OB then my primary care, was exhausting, time consuming, frustrating, and a lot of money. Double blood tests and urine tests, because somehow they couldnt give my PCP my results but were having her take on the responsibility of the OBs care. I have never been shuffled around the medical system as much as I have with this facility. As soon as I changed OB I immediately got nausea medicine, as Ive found out from my ER visit I have gallstones due to my pregnancy, and a new prenatal vitamin. No, having to go back and forth to my PCP and OB.I will never go back to this facility or recommend it to anyone ever.

I debated between 1 and 2 stars, but settled on 2 because the doctors are competent and nice enough. That being said I will not be returning to this practice. During my pregnancy I was not able to see even half of the doctors and met the doctor who delivered my daughter during delivery. I had been scheduled for an appointment with her at one point but the office rescheduled me with a different doctor because she had a scheduling conflict. They also require you see the doctor who delivered for your 6 week postpartum appointment, but this doctor cant get me in until 9 weeks postpartum and at a different office. The biggest issue though is the fact that they lost the original copy of my FMLA paperwork then tried to tell me I never gave it to them even though they left me a voicemail saying it was ready for pick up. Luckily they had faxed it to my short term disability provider before they lost it. Additionally, the triage nurse doesnt call you back when she says she will and when you do talk to her she doesnt let you finish describing the problem before she brushes you off. Overall, the doctors just dont provide the same personal care I got with my first pregnancy at a different practice. Even if you see the same doctor week in and week out they still act like its the first time theyve seen you, so I dont feel the attachment to stick out the scheduling and front office frustrations. I will be finding a new OB GYN.

I have gone to this group for years. Its only been in the past year that I have seen a significant decline. On my most recent visit, I went to sign in and the receptionist told me the Doctor who I was scheduled to see wasnt in that day so I was reassigned to a different doctor. Look, if it was there for a blemish on my skin, thats one thing. A gyn is a very personal thing and I dont just switch to a different doc who I have no relationship with nor any knowledge of. I didnt make a big deal of it but I was disappointed that they didnt call me to give me the option of postponing or seeing a different doctor. Then I sat down. Moments later they called me up to tell me that my insurance didnt cover the office visit - my well womans checkup. There were two problems with that. First, I wasnt there for a well womans check up and secondly, I gave them all of my insurance information two months earlier when I made the appointment. Why in the world are they telling me that at the appointment after taking time off from work and driving to the hospital? Finally, I got to the exam room and the Physicians Assistant began the well womans check up when I explained for the second time that was not the purpose for my visit. I shared my dismal experience with her and she apologized. Further, she was able to steal a doctor away to do the requisite consult prior to the procedure that was months away. Fast forward a few weeks and I had to do some pre-op stuff. When I got to the appointment and gave my orders, they didnt have it in the online system at the hospital. I had to call CWC and it took them 11 minutes to pick up the call. They did a very good job in writing up new orders and faxing them to the two different offices that I was going to that day. Not a good experience at all. My co-worker is trying to get an appointment for maternity care and she continues to get put on hold for 20 minutes at a time making it impossible for her to set something up. Not good CWC. They dont call back when you leave messages. I ended up getting a shot I did not need and I was told I has miscarried when I had not. The office staff is bad and messed up. They dont even know who talks to who around there.
