Larry Cook and his team are top notch. We had them replace a service panel and run additional circuits at our cottage. Last week my AC went out and after the HVAC folks were here to give me the bad news - needs new compressor - I realized that some of the circuit breakers were out and not engaging, including my refrigerator! In a wee panic I called Cook Electric for help. As luck would have it Dan and Dave were finishing up a job near by and were over within 10 mins! By that time I had sort of figured out the problem (it involved a sub panel) but I was grateful to have them there to confirm what had happened. Have used them in the past to install an exterior 240v outlet and found them to be very capable and communicative.

This company will work on a time and materials basis, unlike another I had a quote from. Final cost was less than half the other quote.Knowledgeable people at all levels, with careful work done right. Very clean, professional, and personable crew. Installed dimmers, new light fixtures, ceiling fans, outlets, and a whole house surge protector. Will definitely recommend to others.

Cook Electric installed some new breakers and wiring to my garage. Reasonable prices, quick response, and got it done the same week. All the employees I worked with were friendly and competent.

I recently had Cook install ceiling lights in a home office. I assume the job was done correctly. The problem was more aesthetics. To be fair, they were only given general directions- it is a rectangular room, and place the lights in a rectangular pattern. This was done,however, it was done on the right side of the room,leaving the other side of the room without lights. Who would do this and think it was right? You walk into the room and just say the lights are wrong. Ill never correct the problem because it will require cutting and fixing the ceiling(brand new), which I cant afford. The take away for myself and anyone reading this,is that workmen such as this must be vigilant supervised. Theyre certainly not artisans.

You will be happy with using Cook Electric. I have used them for many projects and every project has been perfect with no stress. Our house and community pool are much better places due to their expertise. They are good on the budget as well. I always get three quotes and they are competitive every time. Their team is wonderful to work with, from the quote to the project end. I couldnt recommend them more.

Outstanding Service! Robert and his team are true professionals. I received a proposal for an Electric Vehicle Charger installation. I wasnt quite sure what kind of scope I was ready to pursue for the job, but Robert carefully walked me through the options and helped me plan out an installation that fit nicely within in my needs and budget. The installation was fast and professional and the work area was spotless when they left. Great value for money. Would definitely use Cook Electric again.

I havent even chose Cook Electric yet for my basement work needed, but all I have to say is that Norman is an absolute gentleman and extremely cool to speak with. I know I will be choosing him and Cook electric for the work I need to get done simply based on his attitude compared to other companies who have been out to give me an estimate. I cant thank them enough. I have a tricky set (3) of pendant lights that kept blowing out - they really should have been trashed and replaced but I loved the blown glass shades and begged the technician to find a solution to a bad product. So after trying a couple of things that didtn solve the problem, he took them to the shop and completely rebuilt them, including enabling them to LED lights. They used to get so hot they warmed my kitchen island - now they are great. Thanks for sticking with this problem and solving it!!!!

Horrible place to work. Favoritism played to the highest level and unfair work environment. Employer listens to one particular employees (favorite) and doesn’t get both sides of story. Doesn’t issue any sort of verbal warning or even mention the “below par work” until the day of dismissal. Another employee kept job after almost killing himself and another employee because of lack of experience. If you wish to hire or work for a company that takes safety seriously, look elsewhere.

I recently purchased a home that had Lutron lighting that was not working properly. Brad arrived, updated and corrected old settings. He was very knowledgeable about the whole system taking the time to explain and set it up so that my home now has comfortable lighting. He also too took the time to help me understand how to use the Lutron application on my phone to be able to change anything if needed. He was very professional and kind and I recommend this company highly.

Late last year Norm came to my home and installed a battery backup on my sump pump. Recently my pump was not acting correctly. I contacted Cook thru their email template form at 5 in the evening. Norm was on my front porch at 10 the next morning, corrected the failed piece quickly and pleasantly and at no charge. Cook is a pleasure to work with. The lights in the range hood, with a 125v to 12v transformer in the circuit, stopped working, interfering with our ability to cook our evening meal without using a flashlight. I called Cook Electric. Kathleen answered the the phone and took down a description of the job. She understood just what I was talking about and said luck was with us - Norman and Jason were with her and planning to leave. Their project had been rained-out. They arrived at my house in 15 minutes and in less than 10 minutes had analyzed the problem and concluded that the transformer had burned out and diagnosed why it had burned out. They explained the problem to me very clearly.They had an identical transformer on their truck and installed it quickly. They also identified and corrected a problem in the circuit they believed caused the old transformer to fail. The amount of care they took in making sure the work area was left clean, neat and safe was exceptional. They were finished in less than 1/2 hour.
