Chris was great, very pleasant. Had a light fixture replaced in our breakfast room. He was fast and it looks great. All at a fair price. Will call them again.

Chesapeake Electric was very helpful! We were scheduled for Tuesday but they took the initiative to call me when they became available sooner and they were able to assist me sooner than scheduled. Employee Kris C. installed an ethernet port upstairs which required wiring throughout our home. He was very professional and completed the work while only doing minimal drywall cutouts, which will make my drywall repairs easier too. He was also very tidy, leaving no mess after his work. Great service all around!

Kaeyanta took my call promptly and scheduled service for the very next day. Cristian and Matt came at the appointed time and promptly identified the problem and took care of it. They also discussed what to do if the problem reoccurred. As usual with Chesapeake Electric they were courteous and professional. I certainly will use their service in the future.

Very fast with responding back and consistent communication. Provided a very accurate time window on when they would arrive. The pricing was very clear and upfront. Definitely not the cheapest pricing but still in the upper level of reasonable. Good with electronic communication phone and in person. We would probably use them again for smaller projects. Appeared that a larger project would probably cost a little bit more with them but at the same time, it seemed like it would be done properly.

Fred Washington from Chesapeake Electric came to my home and replaced my outdoor flood lights. He clearly explained all of my options and suggested what he thought would work best for my home. He did a fantastic job. I have been extremely pleased with all of the work that Chesapeake Electric has done in my home and would recommend the company without hesitation.

Matt and Chris were professional, courteous, and worked quickly. They installed two ceiling fans, one in living room that has a 20’ ceiling and the other in the bedroom. Took them about an hour and they cleaned up afterwards. Totally worth the price for the service. Thank you gentlemen

I tried reaching several electricians in the area before reaching out to Chesapeake Electric. I had left voice messages with all of them to return my calls about the needed work, but all were slow to respond. Then I found out about Chesapeake Electric online and their superb customer ratings. After I left Chesapeake electric a voice message, a representative called me back the same day within hours and then set up an estimate and/or work appointment for within a week. Derek O. came to our house right on time on the day of the appointment and he gave us a very reasonable estimate for the work (which was fairly detailed since it involved the hanging of two wall sconces in an already finished living space). Derek started the work right-away with our permission, and his work was terrific!! He was careful, methodical and clear in explaining to us everything he needed to do. Plus, he did the work fairly quickly for the size of the job. I would recommend Derek O. and Chesapeake Electric to anyone based on my experience! I was in a jam on Saturday morning when an outlet in my house started sparking. Not only was Chesapeake able to get someone out that day but they also moved times around for me because I had 2 kids at home not able to watch their Saturday morning cartoons. They had someone at my house within an hour and a half. The service tech Dalton was very professional and took the time to explain to me the issue. He was very knowledgeable and helped fix an issue that another electric company was unable to diagnose. The price was very reasonable for an emergency situation. Chesapeake Electric has been helping us upgrade an old house starting with 200 amp panel and new light fixtures. They are very professional and arrive on time. All of their technicians are knowledgeable and able to complete all repairs needed.

Chesapeake Electric staff were professional, informative, and personable. I would not hesitate to call on them again. They determined why a ceiling fan on first floor, and an electrical outlet and ceiling light on second floor were not working and a circuit breaker kept tripping. It was due to shoddy work by a non-professional before I bought the house. I also asked them to alter the switch arrangement for a combination ceiling fan and light on second floor so that the dimmer switch was not 10 feet away from the on/off switch. They did that, and explained that light and fan motor were supposed to be controlled independently, but fixture hadn’t been installed properly by previous owner. They fixed that too. They also discovered that the ceiling fan hadn’t been fastened to the ceiling properly - with a metal box - and could have fallen down. They fixed that too. They know what they are doing.

I took my time getting quotes and revised quotes from a number of companies and I am very happy I went with Chesapeake Electric! They were very patient with the time I took and the number of questions I had up front, and the price seemed very reasonable for what I was asking.During install, Kris was great - competent, efficient, and friendly on top of it all. Kris came over to install a whole home surge protector and two new outlets with dedicated breakers: a 120-volt outlet and a 240-volt outlet for our new car charger. Upon arrival, we talked through the requested work to ensure we were on the same page. Though I was warned that thered be multiple cuts in my wall, Kris was able to keep things pretty minimal and able to put the drywall back as well, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, he also mounted and plugged in our new charger, which he asked if wanted it done and was happy enough to pass on to a pro! At the end, we again went over all the work done and he explained how the surge protector worked. Thank you!

We have used Chesapeake Electric before and have found them to be professional and efficient. We had a problem with a wired in smoke detector emitting the battery alarm. Kris analyzed the problem and we decided to replace all the smoke/co2 alarms with new alarms with enclosed batteries. Kris was knowledgable, professional and efficient, as well as having a pleasant demeanor. Well definitely use Chesapeake Electric for any future work. Also we received an understanding response when we made our initial call and we were able to get an appointment within two days.

It would go toward the work, but I needed cost estimates for my budget so that wasnt going to work. Chesapeake staff was also very efficient in communicating scheduling and any questions I had.

Very polite & courteous technicians.I felt that the estimate of $840. for a fan and install was VERY HIGH.Especially when the fan was being placed over an existing roof vent, the attic has electricity & the cost of an attic fan at 1300 cfm costs less than $100.

Job #31583: Seven GFI outlets had to be replaced due to BAD original wiring and contacts which would no longer hold a cable plug in-place. In addition, a gas stove fan assembly was diagnosed to need a dimmable LED light bulb in order to function properly during daytime hours. The technician was very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Kudos to Mike G.
