I am 73 and have been cared for by Dr. Newman over the course of several years. I keep returning because I find him to be thorough, understanding and professional. His staff is always friendly and helpful. That is what I expect from my doctors.

I have had some unsightly finger nail fungus on my right hand for pretty much all of 8 1/2 years. Ive seen at least 2 dermatologists and had three 4 month Lamisil treatments with no success. I finally just resigned myself to living with it. On a visit to Dr Newman for another matter, he asked about my nails. I told him my story and he suggested we try something else geared more specifically to a yeast infection (also a type of fungus, I think). Anyhow, I had immediate positive results. It took a while but after 5 months all of my nails are now clear. Thank you Dr.Newman for taking the initiative to help with my problem.David

I called to schedule an appointment. The receptionist was pretty rude. At first I brushed it off and figured she may be having a bad day. I told her I dont have a co-pay. She told me I would have to provide documentation confirming that. I asked her shouldnt they call the insurance company to verify that and she said they dont do that, that its my responsibility to provide that information. I called my insurance company to get the paperwork they were requesting. They said they had never heard of that and usually the provider will contact them for that information. My insurance company offered to call them to take care of it for me. When my agent got back on the line, he said the woman was very rude to him, and she basically told him the same thing she told me, they dont call to verify insurance and that its my responsibility to provide paperwork. He also said she was very nasty and short with him. My insurance company said they will be filing a complaint against this establishment. Needless to say I canceled my appointment and filed a complaint.

I developed PUPPP duing week 38 of y pregnancy and had to wait until after delivery to be treated. My OBGyN assured me it will disappear immediately after delivery but it didnt. It continued for as long as 2 months after my baby was born. In between I saw 2 doctors and both said it was not PUPPP and misdiagnosed or underestimated the rashes. Only until I came across Dr Newman at the Annapolis Magazine for 2013 BEST DOCTORS that I found a sensitive person who care for the way I was feeling at the time (in misery is not even any close to describe the pain) but treated me with the right medication. It took another month for the urticarial to disappear but he even went as far as biopsing the plaques and sent them to John Hopkins to rule out a herpes condition. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Newman.
