As my first time massage, I have to say WOW! Absolutely wonderful service from Mr. Ed! I highly recommend the hot stone massage and peppermint oil!!

I actually enjoy going to this location. It clean and staff are friendly, but my friends and I have received multiple cancelations. They need to have a masseuse on call.

Hanna was amazing for my sensitive skin facial. She was professional, personable, and polite. She made sure I was comfortable (Im 6 months pregnant) and I felt very hydrated and refreshed after.

Every massage provider is different, i know, but my massage was just okay.Update: i had another massage from a different provider and it was fantastic. so find the person you like and stick with them.

The Annapolis location was very clean and inviting. The front desk staff was very polite. I went for a facial and walked out with my whole body relaxed. Hannah was very professional. I will be going back soon.

I had a great experience here on Saturday 9/30/17. My friend picked this place and I was quite pleased. The place is very clean and the staff is polite. My therapist Edie has blessed hands and gave me the best hot stone massages I have ever had, and I’ve had a few. I thought I was going to sleep during my service, but our very interesting conversation kept me up. The front desk was efficient and Jillian and Anya did a good job explaining things to us. At one point we weren’t sure if there was tension between the 2 ladies, but we soon realized it was because it was busy, and they were trying their best to help us quickly and efficiently. We definitely enjoyed our experience so much we both bought the package deals, and can’t wait to return.

For a strip mall spa, its great. Prices are reasonable. Front desk staff was polite, but loud. I could hear people talking all through my service. Not exactly a tranquil setting, but again, its in a strip mall. My provider was amazing and the service was great. I probably wont go back because of how loud it was and the pushy sales pitch immediately following my facial.

I decided to treat myself to a facial and massage for my birthday and it was wonderful. The space is calming and everyone is extremely accommodating. I have signed up for the membership so they will be seeing me once a month!

Had the best experience today! My friend gave me her appointment with Adie and it was amazing. I added on the aromatherapy in lavender and the peppermint scalp massage. The woman at the front desk was welcoming and really great about letting me know about joining but not pushy at all. I booked again for my friend and think I will be signing up next time! Very clean, calming atmosphere. Edie was great I would recommend and go back the staff is pretty nice, pleasant and professional except one employee Kelsey Sanner I believe her name is. She was very sarcastic, unpleasant and rude to one customer I heard over an dispute over his rollover packages. She kept cutting him off and didn’t handle the situation in a professional respectful manner at all. In the beginning of me signing my paperwork she was sarcastic and unpleasant towards me until the other young lady with the glasses at the first register stepped in and helped me out. That young lady was exceptional and great she really changed my mind to make me come back. Her customer service was great. Kelsey haggles people to sign up to become a member also. I’m not sure if she gets commission or what but she sure asks like it comparing H&S to Massage envy Etc. I still would choose H&S they were recommended to me by a co worker/friend and this was my first time there and it was for a birthday so that’s a plus.

Went here yesterday for my first massage since my aunt has a monthly membership. I had Nicole. She was amazing! I got the Swedish massage and i like SOME pressure but not too much. She gave the perfect amount and even asked if the pressure was ok ( love when they ask). When she got to my neck, the pressure was a bit too hard and i told her and she immediately adjusted to a lighter pressure. I have had a handful of massages in my life, this was probably one of the best. She uses her arms a lot and so it feels like long strokes ( I am probably explaining this terribly) but I like that better than the shorter ones . The lady at the front was nice. I didnt catch her name but she is from Italy. It smelled good in there. I cannot comment on pricing as my aunt gifted me her massage and i only had to pay the $10 transfer fee. I would definitely go back, depending on the pricing. It is close to my job so that is a benefit too. I would definitely recommend this place, especially Nicole, who btw, works late hours if you want to go after work ( she is there until 8).

Im a member and regularly get massage and facials here. Everything is always OK - sometimes very good sometimes not too great, it really depends on who you see. However, you have to keep in mind you are paying $59 and for that price, the services are well worth it. The staff at the front desk are exceptional.

So I was referred to this specific spa from my brother/sister. I actually tried them out the very next day & enjoyed every minute! The staff was very kind & Chaun, my masseur IS AMAZING. Very nice, ensures your comfort each touch of the way, and very skilled at what he does. I highly recommend him.

Alexis was amazing. I have SI hip joint issues due to working 12/14 hours on my feet. She focused on my needs and left me truly refreshed for my next shift. I recommend her to anyone!

It was a rainy Sunday and found this place on Google. It was such a nice and clean place of business. My GF and I both got facials which were so relaxing. I highly reccomend this place.

Amazing staff. I receive a full leg wax every 4-5 weeks and thus far Nicky is the best person.She is very attentive and makes you feel comfortable, explains what she is doing if you ask her.Ask for Nicky in Annapolis, she is wonderful and you will not be disappointed.

I am a loyal Hand and Stone (Harbor Center) member, and have never been disappointed by either my facials or my massages in the years since I joined. Carissa does a wonderful facial, and Ed a very relaxing massage. Both listen and tend to my needs and concerns with care. I pre-book, so I always have my H&S time to look forward to! They usually have no problem booking my facial and massage back-to-back, and so accommodate my schedule easily.

I had an amazing experience and was well pleased. I give them a 5 stars and have gotten a membership. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend anyone who wants a spa day of relaxation and fulfillment to go and pamper yourself. AMAZING

Good luck getting appointments unless you are able to come late morning on the third Tuesday two months from now. Prices keep going up while quality has been going down. They will try to upsell all their add on options all the time, and are pushy about it. They are also very pushy about tipping with credit cards and telling you how much you should tip. Therapists are hit and miss. When you finally find a therapist you like, the person moves on to somewhere better. Then when you give up and quit your membership, they make it hard to do with in-person paperwork requirements, and then you start getting annoying phone calls offering you deals. Worst of all, they mysteriously lose all the credits you have left, that youre supposed to have 90 days to use up. Dont waste your money here, just go to a reputable non-chain place. Better to spend the money for a really good massage every other month than a mediocre one (or one you never get) once a month.

Recieved a deep tissue massage today with focus on my neck, shoulders and back. The massage therapist did a fantastic job, possible one of the best massages that I have had. I left feeling great and some long lingering pain in my shoulder/ neck seems to be gone.

Other than waiting 15 min at the front desk before someone actually came out to greet me and check me in, Ed did a fantastic job on my massage. I left very relaxed and calm. I will return for another massage with Ed. The atmosphere was relaxing and clean as well.

The first time I went, I was still recovering from shoulder surgery. Adie was gentle, but firm with my massage. She made sure to check in with me throughout the process to make sure the massage was deep enough without making me uncomfortable.I went back today and was ready for a deep tissue massage. Again, she asked for my input as shed massage each area. She knows just the right amount of pressure to relax the tissue, and me!

I had a facial this weekend at Hand & Stone. I think its a great, affordable place to pamper yourself! Caitlyn gave me my facial and did a great job. My only dislike is that from the moment you walk in they try to up-sell you for about 10 minutes. Aside from that, it was great and I would definitely recommend Caitlyn to anyone looking for a facial and plan to go back to see her again soon.

Horrible experience. The front desk staff were great; however, the massage therapist was obviously inexperienced, and quite honestly, shouldnt have been practicing. I got the hot stone massage (which Ive gotten elsewhere), and it was AWFUL. The therapist didnt use the amount of pressure I requested, and quite frankly couldnt because she slathered me with so much oil, the stones kept slipping and sliding out from under her hands. On top of the oil already on my skin and the stones, I listened as she pumped no less than SIX times prior to dumping it on my back. EVERY TIME. Her movements were jerky and erratic, and by the time she was done, I was more stiff from the stress then I was before I walked in there. I called later that night to lodge a complaint (after TWO SHOWERS)... and it took the manager 3 days to get back to me. So, once he did call me back, he vouched for the therapists experience level - and assured me she was qualified and highly talented - but then told me he hadnt even spoken to her about the appointment yet... wait, huh??? Makes sense. Seriously. Anyways, he didnt offer me an apology OR a refund, but told me I could come back in and pay an ADDITIONAL $70 for another massage... but then told me that any other service I wanted in addition would be free. Thats this shops idea of compensation for an extremely dissatisfied and unhappy customer. Right. I went so far as to write to the corporate site - and while I did receive an inquiry back within 2 hours (so it cant be that hard for hand and stone to provide good customer service...), I was also told that each store was individually owned and operated, and therefore basically makes their own rules for operating their businesses. Bottom line - Ill NEVER return. Clean office, good location, horrible customer service, and their management team has no care or concern for their customers. Wasted $120, plus two showers to get the goop off, and an hour of my life that would have better been spent elsewhere. Which is exactly where Im going next time. My recommendation to everyone here - try My Body Needs instead. Locally owned and operated, the store owner is almost always at the shop, they CARE about your experience, they LISTEN to your needs, and value your patronage.

My esthetician Edie is always so extremely kind and GREAT at what she does. I had a massage and facial back to back and she was able to get more knots out of my neck in less than ten minutes than my 1 hour massage. I will be going to her for my massage and facial next time.

I went today to the hour long first time massage. I really enjoyed Chaun. He did a great job. It for sure was not an hour long because they took me back after my scheduled time and it ended before the time was up from my scheduled time that they were already a little late for. The front desk people were friendly, and the massage was great, he really did a good job and I felt completely relaxed. I signed up for the package. So, if the next one is also 15 minutes under the hour lscheduled then I will probably cancel the membership. Hopefully it isnt because he did a great job. I will update again after my next appointment

Had to cancel an appointment due to family emergency and they said they could reschedule to the next day at 2 then said that they could not reschedule. Then called me back and charged me 30 dollars cancelation fee. They have lost my business.

Had a great experience at the Annapolis location I’ve been to all of the ones in Maryland and some in VA for years this location is my favorite . Not only was the spa clean and quiet the staff was very friendly , my massage was excellent felt so much better after . I asked the manager some questions after my service and she was so helpful and quick unlike other experiences at other locations . It’s my favorite one in MD and I will be using my membership here.

Clean place however due to franchise policies there is no ability for front desk to provide compensation in the event of customer complaints. Unfortunately all of the estheticians and therapists are not up to standards. It is like a box of chocolates.....Manel is the best!!!

Do not get a membership!!! They decided to increase my membership rate without telling me in advance. A letter was sent to my house on March 8, but was dated for mid-February. I called right away to cancel and was told that I had to fill out a form and it will be cancelled but I would be charged the normal amount for the month of March. Sent my papers in on March 9th and was the charged the increased rate on March 15th. Then on April 20th I’m being charged AGAIN. I’ve called corporate and spoke with an unhelpful lady named Nancy, who did not care about what I had to say. Nancy claims that it takes 30 days to fully terminate the account. Which means my account would be terminated on April 8th. Now the newest claim is they received my papers on April 4th. They have refused to offer me a refund and will probably charge me again in May. I have done everything they have asked but still are charging me and blaming me. Please do not get a membership here!

It was my first time getting a facial, so i wanted to get it from the best place i could find in my area. I was told by a friend thay Hand&Stone are very good. The clsoest one to my house is little over an hour away, but i still drove because i wanted the best experience as it was my first. I went with my mother and myself, My appointment time was 2:00-3:00, we was in the building by 1:55pm, filled out the paper work and was ready for them by 2:05. As Toni took me to the room, i was on the bed by 2:07pm, i think they should already be ready and prepared for me as i am ppaying for the time, so i want the whole 50 mins if i am paying for it. Anywho, she started the facial 2:16pm and we were done by 2:45. I was dressed and out of the room by 2:50. So if i am paying for hour, why i was done with in 30 mins? I know the first 5 mins and the last 5mins is when they are supposed to prepare and talk but the 50 mins they are supposed to do facial, from what i was told. My mother on the other side was extremely satisfied, she went in at 2:10 and she was in the room till 3:20. Now thats an exceptional service thanks to Ari(Arian) for taking care of my mother. As i didnt want to upset toni, i told my about my experience but she went ahead and notified the manager, and all the manager has to say was “i can offer you $10 off next time” and i even asked can you take care of it this time, and she said you already are getting the discounted price. As they have special for first timers. My mother was sooo satisfied that she wanted to sign up for the monthly plan but i stopped her. I am not happy and i would not recommend Hand&Stone from my experience to anyone. I shouldnt have to pay for 1 hour and be out of the room with in 30-35 minutes.kind of upset, because i was expecting excellent service as my mother received. Dont get me wrong Toni was great but i just think i should have gotten my whole 50 mins if i am paying for it.
