Cary is the biggest blessing to ever come into my life. I began seeing Cary in July of 2019 and have been seeing him weekly ever since. Ive been in therapy for about 8 years and I have never felt the connection with another therapist as I do with Cary. He is the most open-minded, caring person. There is nothing I could say that he would judge me for. If everyone had a Cary in there life the world be a happy, peaceful place. I am so beyond thankful! Highly recommend to any and everyone!

Argo has truly saved my life. Ive been going since November, and have made such incredible progress that I sometimes cant even believe it. My therapist is kind, empathetic, well-educated on what he does, and finally gave me a proper diagnosis--AND helped me learn the tools to move on and help rewire my disordered thinking! I no longer feel trapped by my brain, and for the first time in years am I able to see me living for the future, and being excited by it. Christine the front desk person is so kind, caring, sweet and on top of things. The whole building is so soothing and they keep everything very neat and clean. The payment is easy, they put your card on file and charge you after the session is done! They took both of the insurance Ive been on. Everyone in the office is kind, understanding, and empathetic. I love Argo!!

The waiting lounge (i have never had to wait), is soothing from lovely therapeutic oils in the air and tastefully furnished. The therapists are great. William has been a huge part of my progress and i am so grateful to have fo have found Argo.

I recently scheduled my first every counseling appointment with debra. After waiting 5-10 minutes past my appointment time I spoke with the counselor. The first 5-10 minutes of our sessions were spent by the counselor asking me very basic introductory questions that I had already answered and explained in detail on my new patient questionnaire. I received no indication that this questionnaire I spent plenty of time completed was read/reviewed but who knows. I explained my problems with anxiety and worrying thoughts to which I then received lengthy explanations that any anxious thought I have is not real as it is in my head. So all I can do it think about other things or not think about them. I explained if I could do that I wouldnt be there, and I felt it was more important to understand why these thoughts are happening. The counselor then began another lengthy explanation stating the cause of these problems is not important because it is out of my control, the only important thing is how I respond to them. I have no idea if these methods of counseling are good or bad, but it did not seem helpful. As soon as the clock hit 6 oclock my 1 hour appointment was officially over and our 50-55 minute session of me being what felt like lectured for 75% of the time had concluded. I went home feeling down, and decided to call and try to schedule an appointment with a different counselor, as I believe some people simply dont have a good connection. I called during open hours and received no answer. I decided to wait until the next day during the day to try to schedule. I called the next day during working hours and there was no answer again. I truly believe every counselor at this center is a compassionate person who wants to help people, but I am writing this review to detail my experience in hopes that someone in dire need of help considers how my experience here was, so they can receive help they need/desire.

I have worked with Emma in the past and she has my HIGHEST recommendation as a therapist and helper. Her genuine empathy and drive to helping others is reflected in that of her work. I feel confident when I refer my clients to her because I know they are in wonderful hands. Happy New Year to you, Emma!

The location is welcoming and soothing, it feels like a very safe space— and my therapist here has been just so extraordinarily caring, giving, and helping—I would have been otherwise lost.

I went to Argo Counseling several weeks ago after a recommendation from a health professional. It has taken me several weeks to feel calm enough to write a review. I was unable to see the therapists who were recommended to me as they did not have availability in their schedule for new patients. In light of this, the office staff arranged for me to see a therapist who had availability. I have had several therapists in the past so I am very familiar with how the therapy process works. I know each therapist operates a little differently and I took that into consideration. That being said, this was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a therapist. I am dealing with grief, infertility and marital problems along with several other major life stressors and this therapist was the most un-empathetic, harsh therapist I have ever had. I got the feeling that she could not be bothered with me ( it was on a Friday, maybe she had somewhere to go?). She gave a sort of tough love, lecturing approach ( i.e. What can we change about the past?? Nothing!) and I did not have any prior relationship her. She kept asking me what I was going to do and what my plan was and I kept telling her, I dont know, that is why Im here- to help sort through things. I did not mention divorce however she proceeded to tell me what the divorce laws in MD were. She gave me the typical handout on grief and there were long pauses in conversation as if she were trying to come up with something to say. I sense that she felt I tuned her out after a while. I came to therapy so emotionally fragile and was near tears the whole time and I feel like all she did was crush my spirit even more. I see that Argo counseling has good reviews and I got great recommendations about them so I am very sad to say this was not my experience. Im sure the whole business is not like this but I can only hope that this therapist thinks about her demeanor and what it really means to be a therapist ( even if you are having a bad day) as she continues to treat clients. I will certainly not be back and she did not ask me if I wanted to schedule another appointment with her- I think my body language let her know I was done.I hope this review saves another client that is in a bad place from going through what I went through.

I went for a few sessions with one of the therapists. She jumped to a conclusion about me during the first visit. Then, a few visits later I noticed the same thing happened. If youre thinking about going here, Id try somewhere else.
